R's travels to the begar continent is easily one of my favorite segments of volume 11 of the Mok tente novel Series so obviously when the anime adapted it and they skipped pretty much all of it I was a little upset not so much that they skipped all the stuff around the Warriors of the desert and how the people of the begar continent survive and their ecosystem and the Traditions that they kind of get into with that whole segment but more so the character developments that come between rudus and Ellen Le I believe that they are a fantastic pair and this segment solidified for me how much I love El's character she is just a big Cy type character that just wants to protect rudus and all these things that she does even though she really doesn't have to again I adore this segment so I'm going to remedy that with all the anime only here in this Mich kensei skip content video we're going to go over the Warriors of the desert rudus and L's travels all the crazy insights into the begar continent itself and ultimately one of the best moments L has ever had in the series for me let's dive into it opening up we are on day eight of rudus and El's travels this is at the point which they reached the first city they come to on the biggar continent which is bizarre it was a town comprised of tents and buildings circling a lake arriving around that area wasn't just sand but soil reddish brown color it was also much less extreme heat there by the time they reached the outskirts it was evening time but they were alerted to the call of a griffin ahead of them near the city was a pack of five Griffins and five humans although two of the humans were already motionless on the ground rudus chose to help them after Ellen Le inquired he felt it would leave a bad taste in his mouth if he didn't while rudus covered Ellen leas she held the line against against the Griffins taking them down one by one afterwards a cowering man stood and commanded one of the Warriors to get to searching he then addressed bruus and El thanking them for assistance he wore a turban and a red robe under a thin yellow gown and a small red dot on his forehead striking rudus as a timid sort he was a very picture of a stereotypical desert merchant after being thanked rudus mentioned that they couldn't just abandon them when they were in trouble the merchant didn't see that as common most people would have just ignored the situation after the merchant wished the blessing of the wind to Grace he turned and focused on his Fallen men two men in his party were Fighters with curved swords and heavy armor since curved swords were present in the demon continent as well rce assumed that it was good against large monsters he also believed that the heavy arms and armor didn't really help against Griffins as they would hinder their speed one of the men with a patch on one eye tattoos on his face standing 6 feet tall spoke up don't see Mages too often in these parts His companion a girl with light brown skin was staring at ellise hey boss is this girl a succubus ell spoke up what is she saying rudus for reference here the people of this continent speak a different language they speak fighting God tongue so El doesn't know what they're saying but rudus does know the language what is she saying rudus she's wondering if you're a succubus well I suppose I am in a matter of speaking wow she admits it that said I don't make a habit of spraying foul odors all over the place I keep telling you it smells really good to me the man then chopped His companion on the head don't be an idiot we'll kind of suck up his travels with a man you have some nerve insulting them after they just saved Our Lives ow but boss you said the girl that shows up when their bats around got to be a succubus ree found her hard to understand it was probably due to some sort of accent this is exactly why we call you bonehead kid sorry Miss we didn't mean any offense carita here is kind of a [ __ ] that's all and Lon spoke up what's this now is he trying to make a move on me or something R said no he's apologizing because a woman called you a succubus ah is that all well tell him I wasn't offended at all she shot a brilliant smile at the guy prompting him to blush she says that she doesn't mind no no kidding does she not speak our language or something nope I can interpret for her though at this point the guy was openly staring at Ellen lease of course she looked kind of proud to be ogled being used to it at this point the man introduced himself as Bal botom and thanked them for their help after rudus introduced themselves belly botom and carmalita was called away to their employer in parting he mentioned that his employer would reward them later it seemed for now they need to find their cargo en spoke up what they're just leaving I expected a bit more gratitude it looks like they left their wounded behind too oh they're dead the fact that they were dead probably explained why they didn't come to their aid after battle they probably knew they were dead this one was still awfully young the poor thing El said one was young maybe 18 hole in her forehead likely from a beak I wonder if leav they're dead where they fail as a tradition of this continent Rudy said noce an adventure would ever do such a thing Elise replied well those people don't look like adventurers to me so they vanished in different directions R burnt the bodies and buried them it seemed heartless the way they left them there he honestly had no idea how they would be rewarding them when they didn't even know the employer that didn't matter since they didn't go in the situation to be paid he was satisfied doing a good D for the day with that the two of them headed off to bizar the next day ruus and El searched the marketplace to find information on a guide to the north sadly this area was a way station on the road not so much a bigger trade Hub finding a guide would be difficult and El assumed they'd find a guide easy but this wasn't a normal route for her typically in unfamiliar land she kept to the border cities and areas where Travelers were common jumping to the middle of the continent through a teleporter threw her off he inquired Elise what she thought they do she normally would push the shortest route but she had enough of walking in the desert her thought was to travel with a merchant it sounded good Aisha managed to reach renoa hitching rides with Merchant Caravans only thing that mattered was getting to their destination safely problem was finding a merchant heading to Ron from here most were heading to a place King carara to the east there was traffic to the north though since rapon was famous for his labyrinths it had a steady stream of valuable Magic items some Merchants earned a living that way buying and traveling with magic stones and crystals from the southwest to Heron funneling profits into buying magic items problem is that most Merchants like that wouldn't be around for another few months as ruus was about to give up and head to King Kara instead he hit a lead a man named Goblin who apparently made his fortune traveling between rapon and Torio it was said he traveled in a caravan of six camels which meant he was earning good money arriving at his tent they found six camels and carita the warrior lady from the previous day so that meant goon was a mustached merchant gban welcomed them into the tent with a warm smile it was a good thing they had helped them out out gban spoke up my apology for yesterday friends we were surprised to see you had already left by the time that we got back they had apparently tracked down their camels carrying valuable cargo returning they found rudus and El had left and the bodies were buried he claimed they spent some time looking around for them that evening he could have just explain that but maybe that was just common sense here cargo first everything else can wait it must be fate that you found us like this he said would you care to join my Caravan as bodyguards how about 500 CA to repon what do you say it seemed this was his plan from the start based on him losing men and seeing them in action before but this worked out for rudus all right we'll come with you as far as repond then ah Splendid that's truly wonderful I'd even be willing to sign you guys up for a long-term exclusive contract if you have interest I've never seen a magician of your caliber before I'd make it worth your while I assure you how about 10,000 Cent a year no wait Molly bottom would kick up a fuss would 8,000 be enough I could I'm sorry R interrupted but we got something we need to take care of in rapon we'll keep the offer in mind though this was accepted easily enough they had their ticket to repon everything was back on track and that's when we actually get into the skip chapter the Warriors of the desert they set out from bizar to repon as members of gan's Caravan head of the Guard team was the warrior Bali botam also known as haky his companions was carmalita the bunk Crusher and great blade taunt a five member guard six camels and one Merchant feeling the party re considered naming the camels but they may have to eat them they had a meeting before leaving to decide the basic battle formation galban would be in the middle B botam in the front carmalita on the left ton on the right Ellen Le and rudus was positioned in the back keeping their client in the center would allow them to intercept from any direction Al Rus felt that carolita and taunt would be better as a rear guard it made sense that he'd be next to L Ace the two of them were used to working together they traveled to the east from bizar to the major region Road ree had mentioned the bandits to Bal botom but they didn't know a safer route he said if the bandits attacked that's what they were there for Sometimes some Bandits just demanded a toll and let them go on their way reys had never heard this before but with some Bandits just making a living as long as they were over what they wanted they shouldn't ask for more it honestly wasn't too appealing to him giving into people that threatened Travelers instead of working for money but he wasn't the one paying up so he could live with it he did fear them running into greedier Bandits who wanted more like Elise while the Warriors of the group would save gallons and others lives it's not like they would risk their ncks for them they could hang rudus and llas out to dry while rudus was in thought L spoke up you look nervous rudus but I wouldn't worry yourself too much with a magician of your skills at our side a few Bandits shouldn't be an issue you think so I do and if worse comes to worse I'll use a little charm on them uh what you want to get carried off to their base chained up and brutally goodness how Extreme as long as you go along willingly even banit will be gentle with you are you speaking from experience here we all make mistakes in our youth L has been places she didn't seem too concern at all but those days were long past she would probably be less eager with cliff in her life on their travels they fought many monsters charging begar at buffalos great tarantulas wind master eagles that casted magic even stuff they encountered before apparently the lizards were gyo Raptors by the bottom would spot them ahead of time avoiding serious combat he had a demon eye himself which earned him the name Hawkeye his demon eye was the same as gillan's allowing him to see the flow of Mana in the world around him a great means of detecting enemies things were going great with his predicting everything they approached it was like traveling with Bard while not as precise with the details Elie spoke up this brings me back a little gilain used to spot monster just like that using her eye and her nose having someone detect the enemies make combat less risky Roose was always ready with stone Cannon or blasting them in the air when it got tedious after one fight Bal bottom spoke up you're using your spells awfully freely boy aren't you going to run out of Mana I should be fine I can keep this up all day I think I see you're a great sorcerer then what does that mean exactly it's a title given to magicians who have achieved deep Mastery in their craft well uh I wouldn't say I'm a master of anything yet in any case it's rare to see a magician willing to use their power so freely many magicians made it a point not to use more than half of their Mana since that was all they had had they need to rely on it to defend themselves but rudus never emptied half his tank as far as he knew it was common sense to retain some for emergencies to Desert Warriors who knew little about Mages they probably seen most of them as Slackers by the bottom seemed to have enough experience to know why magicians hell back he still seemed to like some knowledge as he didn't question rus' silent casting still he wanted Rus to save for unexpected situations with five in their group he could hold back until he's called for Rus wasn't hiding his Mana Supply being massive but he didn't want to come out with it either this was mainly because he wasn't sure his own limits for one thing he didn't want to get to too cocky and cause a disaster like don't set people's expectations too high at night they took turns guarding while gban rested even though ruus created a shelter for everyone they refused to use it claiming it would be hard to notice approaching monsters El Le eased ru's mind claiming that they each had their own way of doing things on ru's shift he was paired with Carlita during which time brce felt staring at nothing silently would get boring thankfully they conversed carita thank them for their help and noted how strong he and Elise were carita the Bone Crusher was a warrior turning 21 this year her weapon was a sword with a wide thick blade more than 1 meter in length many in this region carried large swords even by bottom probably to combat monsters with thick shells your woman's sword is too thin though you can't kill anything with that she said you might be surprised actually it's a magic item and she knows how to use it I've seen her cut up Griffins oh and just so you know she's not actually my woman we're just friends heading to Ron together but you sleep with her yes when the suck up has come uh no I I know detoxification Magic so I just use that when a sucubus comes the men are aroused the women sleep with them is the way of things in the desert as caral explained how succubus and the warrior bands worked in the desert she sounded proud while the succubus were present across the continent now they used to be native in the southwest region but during the war 400 years ago llas encouraged them to reproduce it was all an effort to break the stubborn resistance of the begar warriors sucai were deadly against men even strong willed veteran Fighters but sakaba could only bring so many victims back to their layer at once they they chose a few morsels leaving the others behind the ones left behind would fight each other to the death once poisoned by their pheromones all other men were your enemy it was like a charm staz effect to cure this you had to cast intermediate tear detoxification or let them sleep with a woman 400 years ago basically no one on the continent could use detoxification magic so many young men who were virgins ended up losing their lives over time the Warriors of the begar continent adapted to their circumstances every band began to travel with a number of women the first of them were often slaves or demon prisoners but quickly they realized non-combatants were slowing them down either by their low stamina or their need for protection the Warriors started over and found a solution in training women to be Fighters thus the women warriors of the begar continent came to be at present every group of Fighters or guards had at least a few women when a group encountered the succubus the women were responsible for slaying it and then sleeping with the men to break the spell some groups had more women than men facing sucai was easier that way all in all women of this continent did more in their fair share of the fighting of course this sometimes resulted in pregnancies but the women accepted this returning home proudly when it happened the baby would be eventually usted to the people of their Village and the warrior would return to their duties the baby would be raised by the entire Village all treated equally regardless of their Heritage or race once they reached adolescence they underwent The Coming of Age ceremony and left the village behind once a warrior grow too old to fight they earned their right to return home and devote themselves to raising the future Generations some chose not to return home spending their whole lives fighting B bot was one of them carmalita had no objections to her role and even had a child once herself for rudius the culture shock was real even if he had read some tribes doing similar things Ru had a hard time wrapping his head around it he couldn't even manage to convince himself that it was sexy he found himself looking over Cita trying to understand her point of view she then spoke up I'm grateful to you but I hate Mages she said if a suckubus shows up go to the other wom that stung getting shot down in advance but he could deal with the suck of a spell in R's time with great blade taunt he found him the quiet type the man almost look similar to body bottom if it weren't for his facial hair re tried to push the conversation to kill time asking him about his name apparently the matriarch The Village Elder chooses their second names rather than it being a nickname it was that way for all the Warriors of the desert before they left their Village it was often based on strength sharp eyes Etc giving anyone an easy way to assess their greatest Talent this led rudius to reveal to him that he was called Quagmire rudius which puzzled taunt as Rus had never used Quagmire there to be fair it wasn't effective on things that could lift from the ground or slow heavy armor bugs he also wasn't bothering to stop monsters before targeting them these days now however taunt thought that rus' magic was flashy so he wanted to see it at least once while it was boring he said he tried to use it at least once when he got a chance as their party moved further east the land turned steadily Greener Kara was in this direction and a large jungle beyond that it was odd for a jungle to be there but they wouldn't be seeing it ban changed their Course once they reach a landmark that someone left behind heading north from there 3 days of travel passed and they met the Regional Road it was more like a natural product of travel rather than a paved or maintained road but it was firm and reliable under the feet once there brudy got a sense that b bottom want a goban to consider abandoning his cargo if things got rough with a Bandits still goang cut him off claiming that he was paying them a hefty price for guarding him the idea of his cargo being worth more than his own life was puzzling to rudius still with this in mind B bottom assigned rudius and l e to stick to galban Like Glue taunt was on the camels carmalita would take the rear while he scouted ahead apparently the key was to spot ambushes and detour to avoid them completely with B botoms expert scouting they were able to avoid their first ambush even without using his demon eye which didn't work well on people he spotted them the oldfashioned way and took a long detour off the road however this was a mistake maybe because he was spotted while he was scouting or perhaps he only seen a small part of their forces either way they came under attack taunt took an arrow straight to the chest Rus tried to heal him but El pulled him back just then another arrow hit a camel nearby B botom called for them to run B bottom tried to get gban to released his camels in order for them to be spared but gban was against it despite them all being greatly outnumbered as a shot camel fell to the ground foaming at the mouth Rus realized the arrows were poisoned a force on Horseback was behind them archers were on the hill their volley often fell short but many came dangerously close to hitting them from what rudus could see they numbered a 100 the word Bandit misled rudus this was an Army R's heart hammered in his chest the only Direction he could see was ahead of them as they were attacked from the rear in the flank El Le shouted at him which snapped R out of it casting the first spells that came to his mind Quagmire and deep Mist he created Quagmire just deep enough to trip the horses while a Mist to surround them despite this the arrows still came one making ruus stumble before El caught him it's all right rudus they've got one brilliant Archer but he won't be hitting us again she knew the one that killed taunt and the camel was the same person El call rudus to run nodding shakily he pushed himself onward rudus kept telling himself he wasn't going to be able to Target them he wouldn't be able to hit him it was just impossible he was invisible damn at A Moment Like This he wished that he asked silie for a lucky charm maybe he should have brought his suvenir from their first night together Bobby botom snapped him out of it as he called out for carmalita the bandits were catching up some of them on Horseback must have run around the quagar rudus didn't raised a stone wall behind them as they moved on they kept running while arrows seemed to have stopped every now and then he'd raised another Earth wall as they ran Rus thought of taunt did they leave him to die no he took a poison arrow to the heart even with advanced healing magic it would probably be fatal gritting his teeth he ran as fast as he could they kept running for what felt like 2 hours eventually B bottom gave him the clear ruse felt his daily runs were not in vain he could have kept going even still the Warriors in the party barely even had to catch the breath that battle Ora stuff that they could do was unfair in the end they lost one bodyguard and one camel re thought poor taunt if he'd been able to yank out that arrow and used some spells there was a chance they could have saved him but re realized that if El didn't pull him away he might have been the the next one hit by an arrow her experience in battle probably saved his life hesitation could have proven fatal as Rudy's thought he knows carmalita was glaring at him he wasn't sure what he did to upset her she then stomped over to him and grabbed him by his robe why why didn't you kill them you could have I saw your magic what she expected him to kill that entire group that was crazy but he also never really thought about that approach baly bottom spoke up stop it bonehead you saw it too didn't you carmalita said he made the horses sink into the ground he made them run into walls he made everything foggy you're not thinking this through damn it use your brain for once shut up if he'd used his magic he could have Avenged taunt there was too many of them kid that was har off's band out there I'm sure of it there was more of them behind those Hills but h l then pushed herself between them pressed her buckler against carmalita and put her hand on a raper before she spoke up do you object to the way that we handled that carmalita looked puzzled Rus acted appropriately given the situation we were hugely outnumbered and facing a force of unknown strength worse they were shooting poison arrows at us he stopped their Cavalry with his Quagmire blinded their archers with the mist and brought us time to escape with his walls he's the only reason we're alive we lost one man and a single camel but we got away would you have preferred to stand and fight we would have died like fools and they would have taken everything Anisa's words meant nothing to carmalita she was speaking in human God tongue but her Frosty tone made her meanings clear enough it was rare to see El speak so aggressively to anyone especially an ally she was right though there was 50 out at a glance but there was probably hundreds of more of them could he really kill a force that size it was hard to say he could have casted a wide range spell after the Quagmire to decimate The Archers he could have knocked the Riders off with blade of wind roasted them with Fire magic it was theoretically possible he wasn't confident he could pull it off though they could have experienced fighting Mages one Archer could survive one Rider could have passed his Quagmire if it turned to melee he couldn't use magic without killing an ally Ellen Elise was aware of this that's why she was taking his side firmly she then spoke up again and just to remind you we're bodyguards not mercenary soldiers we didn't sign up to fight an entire Army on our own is there a reason that you're still glaring at me do you want to fight is that it what a willful child I'll indulge you if you insist losing her patience El Drew her rape carita hurried to reach for her broadsword before B botom stepped in between them cut it out both of you look it's a damn shame that we lost taunt but Quagmire made the right call the only one that wanted to fight was you bonehead you really are a [ __ ] sometimes you know that shut up carmalita backed down and crouched near the camels buing her face in her knees Bobby botom apologized before explaining that she had a kid with taunt he explained that she was just lashing out R figured that female warriors didn't get emotionally attached to any one specific man that clearly wasn't always the case maybe it was different if they had a baby with someone El Alish sheath the Rapier and faced rudius there's no reason for you to feel down about this rudius there isn't there are some adventurers out there who want to make a point to never kill a human being not many of them granted but they do exist and you're going to become a father soon I can understand why you'd hesitate to take so many lives her attempts to comfort him was a little off the mark she didn't know what B bottom had just said to be honest ree hadn't hesitated at all the thought of killing those men just didn't enter his mind despite the Mortal danger they were facing some of the Riders could have died riding head first into the walls he had made he didn't have any guilt about that but the idea of using magic to murder someone directly made him queasy it was kind of pathetic honestly still Rus thanked her she was trying to cheer him up thinking back on it she had been running at his side the entire Retreat every time he lost balance she was there to brace him it felt like she positioned herself to Shield him from any straight arrows he had a feeling she considered herself his bodyguard more than anything else no need to thank me dear she said patting him on the shoulder I'll always look out for my grandson her grandson huh silie was carrying El's great-grandchild he was certain that she wanted the arrival to be a happy occasion or maybe she didn't want to have to explain his death either way they would have to make it back safe again he thanked her putting more feeling in to the words she replied by patting him on the shoulder their party despite awkward atmosphere continued onward while the bottom was surprisingly calm and collect despite losing another man he focused on reforming their formation never speaking taunts name again he was the same focused professional bodyguard he always was while cold it was probably how this line of work went death was a constant companion to them common attitude on the demon continent as well it was always a mindset ruus couldn't understand a few uneventful days later they reached the Oasis that marked the Midway Point much like bizarre it was a Marketplace surrounding a small Lake while resting galban and Bali botom disgusted replacing their fallen it seemed galban had more trust in the skills of rudus and El Le opting to wait until they reach rapon it was a Pity that they lost one camel but he admitted that it was lucky that they got away with only losing one facing a force that large after rudus spoke up about how casual galban and Bal bottom was with each other gban mentioned that they were working together ever since the day that he was a fledging merchant maybe Bal bottom was closer to gbon than taunt his fellow Warrior serving as a head bodyguard for so long he possibly seen as men and women as supposable or interchangeable given how regularly they came and went after rest and replenishing they headed north caralina didn't pick any more fights with him but they didn't talk on Night Watch they'd be going their separate ways when they got to Heron but still he had to empathize with what she was going through he couldn't imagine what it felt like to lose the father of your child so suddenly it would hurt to lose silie the despair would be immense ruus spoke his thought and I guess I'm going to regret this aren't I assuming the man God was being straight with bruus the voyage was going to cost him one way or another the man God first told him not to go to beg when he met Ellen Le at the age of 15 after spending some time in Maroa using teleportation meant that he wasn't getting to repon that much later than if he left immediately back then he had to assume that the danger that awaited him in rapon hadn't changed in that time if that was true it probably meant no harm would come to those that he left behind renoa after all if he had left a beget right away he wouldn't have met silie or gotten to know the others he'd have no regrets for some disaster taking place there but the regrets may be different now things might go smoothly on this end but poorly back at home something might happen to silie or the baby r stopped himself from speculating it would be enough to drive him insane thinking about all the ways things might go wrong a guy like himself was going to make mistakes no matter how hard he tried this is the first time that he'd gone directly against the man God's advice that mean this Choice was going to end disaster no matter what no he wasn't buying it since he knew that there was danger ahead it was possible to avoid it to avoid someone that he cared about ending up like taunt he had to stay sharp he wanted to say that he'd protect his family from someone wanting to harm them though he wasn't n sure if he was capable of murder he just have to keep his family safe that at least he could promise himself two weeks later they reached the Labyrinth city of Ron and that's where the episode of the anime adaptation ends right there as I'm reaching rapon with the massive skeletal structure kind of surrounding the city but again like I said absolutely love these chapters I I think my the peak point right there is definitely the point which nise like Steps up there to camera Lita and says what a willful child you want to go and again the great thing about the whole situation is literally she has no clue what carmalita is saying and carmalita has no clue what she's saying but just based on her demeanor based on the fact that how she's speaking and stepping up there that girl can get a hint this girl is going to protect this guy and again I I think the the massive thing there that I love so much is that that retrospect looking back hindsight of that whole situation they have these massive flow of arrows coming down they got the calvalry coming in and and they're running away and as they're running away the entire time L is right there at his side shielding him and picking him up taking the arrows if any arrows comes to him she's going to take it first she'll probably block it but there's a chance that she might not she's wanting to protect rudius it's just like that the big cyst right there it's like when I read the segment I'm like I love this lady so much she is so fantastic I mean I had that since before in all the segments before this is that aspect of I mean you have it the very beginning of this whole segment is that how whenever rudus says something that's kind of vulgar she's always just taking it and just throwing it right back at him there's always that sense there the two of them their chemistry is so perfect but like I said before there's so much more else in here seeing about how this region can handle the succubus again when ruus first arrived here and he's seen in the anime he immediately is nearly killed by a succubus the only reason that he's alive is because El shows up so these people on this continent have been dealing with this for a long time y have la plas comes in and literally tells them the aabus you know breed more spread throughout the continent I need to break the will of the Warriors and so the people of this continent have to figure out a way of combating that and R even says it's a culture shock like this this feels like this is so wrong that literally the continent basically has the Warriors travel everywhere with women at their side so that they can essentially you know make out so that they can get rid of that that cause and effect that's coming from the succubus itself before when it was a band of Warriors you had five Warriors the sucubus comes before them she enchants all of them lures one away and the rest of them fight each other like they just turn into aggressive Beast that just kill each other that's what happens literally one succubus can take down a group of men because they'll kill each other and she'll take away one of them so they had to figure out a way of overcoming this so they had to actually bring women with them but then they realized they weren't doing very well so they had to start training warrior women and that's how they have the system they have now and it becomes this thing of Pride the way that at least carmalita speaks it's a thing of Pride this is the the role that I'm supposed to play and I will I will do it successfully even though I'm not going to do it with you like she completely shuts down rudus I'm not going to do it with you go find somebody else um it's still really cool I love that insight into how this culture actually survives because again this is a thing that is a daily occurrence something they always have to run into and it's the only way to overcome it yes additionally at the very in here again something that they kind of over Overlook with the anime is another insight into Rus and his sort of uh fears that he has with the regrets that the man God has actually spoken if you go there you're going to regret it and right here he's kind of wondering oh wow I didn't think about that I'm going to regret it but is it does it have something to do with this and yes technically he's right the moment that he met El Le way back here yeah he's like oh crap they're down there I could I should go help and El Le said no don't worry about it if he had left right thin yeah it's technically the same time as him right now teleporting down there and getting there like they arriving pretty much the same time so is a regret the same thing could be or yes what if the regret is different even the manang god mentioned the idea that you're going to you're going to leave your wife all these things that you're going to leave behind oh what if the danger is there he's already starting to think of that and then he goes okay I got to stop this I can just run down this Rabbit Hole of everything that could possibly happen that's going to be regret but it's not going to change anything the last thing that I really did like about this whole segment was that look into how and I think it was something that I really did see as I was reading through this segment a lot of my notes when I was reading through the segment was the idea of how isolated this continent is like the people of this continent don't really know anything outside of this continent and they know this continent like the back of their hand when rudus actually asked them how to get to Ron they're literally like oh you go over there there's this marker you you walk North when you see it on this side you're going to see the mountain you're going to travel over here you're going to make sure to look for this landmark and then when you see the the shrubs over here you go left like he's just saying like all these landmarks and rudus has like that's great great directions I have no clue what any of that is they knew they had to find a guide when they asked for a map they they like what a map what are you talking about like the sense of a map is just like what and then whenever he they tried to pay them with oser and coins literally like what is this thing oh it's from the kingdom of asra what what's the kingdom of asra these people literally so many of these people on this continent just have no clue about really anything outside of their continent which makes sense again this this is their lives and that was kind of the same thing here when when you really get into like taunt talking to rudius and them getting into the great Sorcerers and all this other stuff and the Magics and Mana pool and Silent casting all this stuff that just seems like a lot of these people don't know what's going on with it even re mentions like most of these people probably think that most majors are useless like they're being lazy because they don't use their magic well it's because they have to conserve well he does kind of give Bob bottom a little bit credit here like this guy seems to know a lot more than the others do but it's still kind of really cool stuff to see how again this place feels so isolated from the outside World anyways all that said again one of my favorite little segments of the micho tense novel series again I understandable why it was skipped in the anime adaptation but at the same time I kind of just wanted at least that a clip of that moment where L steps up to carmalita because again that's like one of my favorite moments just like stepping up what a willful child I'll humor you draw your sword it's good stuff anyhow I hope you guys enjoy this skip content
