Why don't people like today's pop singers? Usually because they honestly don't deserve the fame they get. They have minimal talent, and there are much better singers and musicians in high school. People only like them because they're "attractive,"
This is why it bothers me when people say she's talented: they only say so because of a pretty face and some cool dance moves. I'm 14 and can probably play better than her. Her bow hold is wrong in many ways. Her hand is too high up the bow and her pinkie is straight, creating a stiff hand and choppy strokes. Her vibrato sounds mechanical and lifeless, and there's no phrasing or real expression in her music. Her notes sound edited to be in tune. How come so many talented people work hard, practice 5+ hours daily for a low paying symphony job, and this "violinist" comes and makes millions? I'm not saying she's not a talented performer, but she clearly does not deserve her fame.
