good morning let's make some egg salad how about that I had a sweet little young uh lady to call me the other day she was a friend of mine and she said she was trying to make deviled eggs and her eggs were tearing up and they weren't doing right when she wanted to um Caleb that they're all messing up so I'm gonna show y'all I've shown you before how to make um your eggs pale easier so that's the first thing we're going to do even though today it doesn't matter whether they mess up or not because we're going to chop them up anyway but I thought I'd just killed two birds with one stone and we're going to uh show how to peel an egg let's say we want it to be pretty well that's what we're going to do today so in this pan right here I have seven eggs and I'm boiling those and then um we're gonna make our egg salad okay so first thing we got to do is to bring our eggs over here to the sink pour out that hot water okay here's our hot hot eggs I'm gonna just turn I'm gonna tilt mine on the side of this um sink pour off that hot water I've not taken the eggs out of this boiler now I'm going to pour cold water immediately over the eggs okay pour that off put yourself more over it wait just a minute we're gonna we're gonna be there we're gonna get this done can y'all see that sink over there oh my gosh look at the dirty dishes y'all need to come help me do this all right let's see so we want to just make sure if there's cold water coming over right now I'm gonna pour all the water off and I'm going to gently crack my eggs in here get them started all right now then I'm going to take this bowl right here and I'm gonna put me some cold water okay now y'all listen carefully so we can get this done I mean it's there's nothing that I can think of that is as aggravating as an egg that will not peel I mean you just want to throw it out the window when it does that it makes me so mad but we're going to come back over here to this side and and let's get let's get appealed all right we're ready put y'all down a little bit where you can see better okay you're going to take an egg and we've already broken it up a bunch see there in little bitty pieces but what you do is tap it gently all the way around it then take your thumb and just kind of gently press here and there gently gently gently gently gently now the reason we have this water is that water works like an like a lubricant to help you get this off under this egg there is a membrane it's thin put the egg in the water and gently take your fingers and try to get up onto that membrane there it is right there let me get some off and show you it's a it's not the Shale but it's right under the shale see that little clear looking stuff that's your membrane stick it back in the water your water is a help mate y'all it's a helpmate and there you go there's one egg peeled okay so now we're going to take another we'll go do the very same thing tap tap tap now here's something you want to know too the older the egg is the better it peels so if you're gonna go to put it in your water get it good expand your little spots you could start I am not under the membrane yet but there it is see that little thin thing right there see that that's your membrane um if you're going to do an egg dish I mean you could do it anytime but the oh if you really want them to peel easy you want it your eggs to be at least a week old so I keep eggs in my refrigerator all the time egg number two so it just doesn't take long look at that one it's already just falling off of there look at that see that there is just nothing to it these eggs probably are a week and a half old and uh I was hungry and I didn't know what to have today I don't even have all the stuff that goes in egg salad but I'm gonna tell y'all what goes in it um look at that can you believe that I mean look it's so easy if you have fresh eggs it isn't going to happen some of you Farmers out there that have your own chickens y'all could tell us that could you just kind of do your thumb see how I'm just gently just kind of it loosens everything up and happy little bowl of water out there and we've got one more to go kind of just gently tap it all over not just one place and then take your thumb and just kind of gently you don't want to mash hard you just kind of massage it you have egg salad sandwiches you could have egg salad and crackers and we're going to talk about today what else could be in mind because I don't have much but uh when you when you comment in the comments I want you to give some other suggestions of what you put in egg salad so that the ones that are watching they can read it and um and get some ideas of their own let me go get my things that I'm gonna put in it okay I found me a few things to put in my uh salad I'm gonna put it in this bowl right here um all right let's talk a little bit about what you could put in there okay I want mine kind of chunky um well you could put um olives sweet pickle ordeal pickles um pimenas pimentos drained um celery is real good in it and onions and sweet pickles um let's see what else could you put thank y'all think how about some little fresh peppers you want to make it grow in other words if you just got a few little things oh the food in it you want to put some things that'll make it make a little bit more than what you thought of course I'm gonna always put in mayonnaise I mean you know I got to thinking about it I don't think we could cook without mayonnaise and eggs I don't think we're good I don't think I could I mean I'm pulling out an egg every time I turn around I guess I need a ticket but that means I'd have to feed it I'm not I don't even know if I want anything I've got to feed [Music] it may come to that surely me all right let me see what I can tell y'all oh the other day when I showed you my fish my aquarium stuff somebody asked how long have you had those fish well I would say about four or five years something like that but here's something you gotta know goldfish grow to the size of their container so my containers aren't big that's for my goldfish don't grow big they kind of isn't that strange that they only grow to the size of whatever you've got them in now if you had a in a pond heck they grow big like a I mean like really big I'm gonna put a little hot sauce in mine I want to kind of singing I'm gonna put a secret ingredient in there but anyway so that is the story about the uh goldfish I've had them for a long long time uh one time my goldfish they were in that big tank I had some plants that were I had fixed them in pots they were water plants but they I had the pot in there with dirt doll and I put a rock on top of it to hold it down and the plant came up it bloomed and made some things well um they had babies I went out there one day to feed and I saw little bitty goldfish swimming around but only about two of them made it the the mama and daddy goldfish they'll eat those babies so you gotta have a place for them to hide in there because they get too big for the parents to eat them and I had an old bullfrog in there too he's probably eating them too I don't know that but I wouldn't doubt that either all right there's our chopped up eggs now I've got me a some pickles I'm gonna put in it I've already done those out [Music] it would be a lot easier if you had a little pickled relish to go in but I'm putting these are homemade pickles thick a follower sent me and they are so good and they're so crunchy that I want to use them in it today I love pickles y'all are a big drink the pickle juice it's like it's addictive isn't it right that's good enough got us some pickles in there and of course I got to have an onion this is one of those vidalia's they sent us the other day I'm only going to do half of it I think that'll be plenty and with seven eggs I don't it's not like I got a whole bunch of eggs all right what I do is I cut my onion in half and then I turn it this way and I cut little thin slivers like that as thin as I can get them and go all the way down anyway the little young married lady that called me she said I think I'm just gonna stop this and start all over because there don't look good they look awful I said well make egg salad out of those that you've messed up on and then start over but I don't see I don't know if it turned out right or not because I think that her eggs were too fresh that's what I think all right and then I told you the other day about the mosquito laying eggs in your aquarium I mean your tank outside and then the fish eat the mosquito larvae and it helps to control mosquitoes but something I I don't know if I told you this or not but I will retail it um if you're doing you a tank outside if y'all didn't see that video you need to scroll back and see it uh and those of you who are watching fake stuff I don't know what you're seeing the Lord knows I don't know what you're saying um but anyway you can't put a bubbler in there because uh the the water would be moving in the mosquito won't go over there and lay her eggs in and the Goldfish don't need a bubbler they make their own oxygen I don't have a bubbler in any of my tanks none of them all right here's gonna be our secret ingredient this is some pepper jelly and it's pineapple pepper jelly you may not have some pineapple pepper jelly but you could just have regular pepper jelly or I got one the other day it was called uh peach pepper jelly that sounds good doesn't it I ate some of it I'm going to put two spoons of it in here that's gonna make it good and I want a little tang in there so I'm gonna put some hot sauce one little black pepper and then comes to my favorite condiment and y'all know what that is don't you huh Mayo all right I'm gonna put about two heaping tablespoons in there and I'm gonna give it a good stir and then we'll see if it looks creamy enough if it doesn't we'll put some more mayonnaise in there what you think I think that looks creamy enough don't you all right let's get out our crackers and uh eat us some this will probably do it on like a corn chip too or you make a sandwich out of it too but if you're making a sandwich you may want to do um you may want to take some um lettuce and tomato and put on it a lot along with this other stuff oops there's your egg salad egg salad it's good I can taste that little dab of pepper jelly in there it tastes really good in there but it's not hot enough for me thank you listen y'all when you when you when you come in on this tell me how you do your egg salad because everybody else is going to want to know they're going to want to know what you put in yours I'm gonna eat one more kind of hungry I made two or three more after I've turned y'all off Summer singer isn't it the morning is beautiful it's um 11 30 right now this is my lunch so if if you don't have that let's say that you want to make some egg salad and you didn't have much stuff to put in it that is okay put what you've got corn made drained corn May taste good in it I don't know um so good so um anyway on your fish let's go back to that one of these days I'm gonna do a post and it's going to list everything that I've done in a month or something like that because some of you are not seeing every post I do I do one almost every day there's a few days I don't but I do one almost always and so if you're not seeing it every day or almost every day then you're not watching probably the right one and you can check up there and see um anyway that mine tastes good and um I'll talk to y'all another time unless these were sent to me they're homemade they were made for me I wonder if they're one of a kind I don't know love y'all take care make you some egg salad and remember keep some when you buy eggs I mean I buy several dozen at a time but when you buy eggs put the one on the bottom and when it gets to the bottom thing that's when to make you uh egg salad and your deviled eggs and that kind of stuff with the old eggs all right love y'all bye-bye
