I love Eddie.
And I know Deion is well loved but I think Eddie is right here. I mean…Deion has some serious ego problems. His fuckin Twitter handle is on his shirt.
They've got me paying more attention to colleges I wouldn't normally pay much attention to. Whether one of them is being an asshole or not, it's accomplishing something.
Both men have points. Both seem reasonable.
Respect.
100% on Eddie's side here.
Neither of them is really wrong here. I tend to lean that Eddie should have just went through the motions and settled his issue(s) privately rather than let this all play out over the airwaves. But that's my own personal temperament. I can understand that his approach is different to this type of thing.
I hate Deion, but I find nothing about this objectionable on his end, he was just trying to be friendly. Maybe take a knee, but I don't really give coaches grief for finishing a game
If Deion is trying to get a job at Georgia Tech, this ain’t how you do it with our boosters.
Idk, unless I’m still missing a lot of context, this is just coming across as sore loser energy from the Alabama State HC.
We have all known someone at work who sounds like Deion just did in the post-presser. It’s clear he’s full of shit. But he’s brought a light on HBCU football that it wasn’t going to get otherwise, and he’s right about one thing — the game wouldn’t have sold out otherwise.
It sucks that the SWAC has to turn into the Deion circus to get proper attention, but they’re not wrong for leaning into it.
