Welcome to Masmavi3Mutfakta! Today I would like to share my Pita recipe with you as you can see in the video these pita breads get very puffy and it is hollow inside, so you can use this pita bread for many different things! It's very tasty! Enjoy the video! For our dough we will need 1 cup of lukewarm milk 1/2 cup of lukewarm water 1/2 cup of yoghurt 2 tablespoons of oil and lastly let's add 1 cube of fresh yeast to the mixture you can substitute the fresh yeast with 2 sachets of dry yeast. If possible, I would recommend you to use fresh yeast though 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt please do not use 2 teaspoons of salt here because the Pita bread will turn very salty if you do so Let's whisk them together until the yeast dissolves into the mixture Next we are going to add the flour. I used a total of 5 cups (max. 5 1/2 cups) here. and now I'm going to start kneading the dough with my hands it will turn into this homogenous dough in no time My recommendation is that you knead the dough for at least 3 to 4 minutes I transferred my dough onto the table because it is easier to knead it here. I knead the dough for 2 more minutes You can use a stand mixer for this step as well but I use my hands here to show that you do not really need a mixer :) in the end your dough should look like this. now let's put the dough back into bowl and cover it with some plastic wrap and let it rest and rise for around 35 minutes to 1 hour (it all depends on the room temperature) this is how my dough looks like after 35 minutes Now I use a spatula (but you can also use your hands) and start to fold the dough next I sprinkle some flour onto my table, cut the dough into small portions and form balls It is totally up to you to decide how big or small you want your pita breads to be I try to cut the dough as evenly as possible but you can always adjust the size if one ball becomes bigger or smaller than the other let me show you how easy it is :) as you can see here I ended up with 11 balls. Next I'm going to roll them out with a rolling pin when it comes to the size I recommend the following: The pita bread should approx. have a diameter of 13/14 cm and a thickness of 0,5 cm as you can see the dough is very soft and easy to work with our pita breads are now ready for the oven. I put them on two baking trays lined with parchment paper Unfortunately was not able to fit them all on the baking trays, so I decided to do sth. different with the last one... I really did not want to use my oven for just 1 pita bread so I simply cut in in quarters to lay it them on the baking tray - problem solved :) so basically we are saving energy and time! now the pita bread are finally ready to be baked in the oven: I have 10 large and 4 tiny pita breads here Preheat your oven at 250 degrees celsius and bake for around 9 to 10 minutes this is personally my favorite part :) After 10 mins I removed them from the oven Now they are all ready to be served! They look so fluffy and tasty so let's have a closer look together I love these soft pita breads because you can use them for many things: sandwiches, dürüm etc. and much more! Handmade bread is just the best if you ask me. Now I would like to show the inside of the pita bread I hope that you will get the same results. Just a quick reminder: Please keep an eye on your pita breads while they are in the oven because they can burn very easily this is a very tasty bread. I hope that this video was helpful and that you try this recipe (especially during this month of Ramadan) Thank you for watching. I wish you a wonderful week and Happy Ramadan! Until next time, Goodbye!
