can each of you speak to your relationship on POC and what he meant to west coast rap okay I want can I start I've been talking all day go right ahead all right so make a long story short no Tupac man you know just to know him was um just to know that he even knew about me so uh I seen him mention E40 in the click on the shout outs on uh strictly for my [ __ ] and I was like everybody was hitting me they say man Tupac shout you out and I was like what do you know about me right and so then uh the boy Richie Rich you familiar with Richie Rich yeah Rich yeah so we we together one day at an event he was like 40 I meant to tell you Tupac want me to give you his number and what I say Tupac he's like yeah you understand me say thank you bro you know what I'm saying I love him for this to this day cause he could have go attended he could have like man I ain't gonna get his [ __ ] Tupac number you know what I'm saying so I called Park and he hit me back 40 what's up that was all I needed to hear that was 1992. that's all I needed to hear was his voice and we was locked in next thing you know we hook up we was at Jack the rapper I wish I had those pictures me him uh the boy uh trench I understand me from Naughty by Nature pictures no I wish we did because we had on uh Carl Kanai uh the the sleeveless uh vest we out there deep and we all had the same kind of gear but different colors you understand me uh that was that then he came to my practice looking hard video and there were just so many other Gatherings that we did when we kicked it and just like got hella drunk and [ __ ] and just you know I mean like he if he [ __ ] with you he [ __ ] with you and what he meant to me was he was uplifting to uh females and the urban community as well and everybody I mean he no no other rapper spoke highly about females like he did Keep Your Head Up Brenda's Got a Baby dear Mom all over there you understand me so and he also had party bangers you understand me and he spoke about just Delight just the trenches period the Octagon you understand me the soil the soil with that in mind um he did so much in so little time he's only 25 when he passed you know he was into theater that's crazy he did movies and [ __ ] the way he dressed was real player you know back then he was you know he this is he was he was a cold dresser you know I'm saying the whole woo [ __ ] um and just uh lyrically he was dope as hell you know in his audience and his fan base was tremendous and his work ethic he'd go in there like when we did let's say for instance I say let's go say Dustin and disgusted no no no let's do we ain't hard to find on his album his uh biggest album uh all eyes on me when me be legit d-shot um uh Richie Rich is there um and uh and uh sibo we always at Can-Am Studio Paco come over there check on us he already as soon as he get there he write his lyrics to the song Mike Mosley produced it and [ __ ] okay then you got Rick rock down the hall in another Studio doing trading War Stories for sibo probably go down there knock them verses out you understand me so he's going from Stoop from from room to room checking on us and then he coming there y'all done and I'm like man we don't write as quick as [ __ ] bro he write hella quick so just being part of all eyes on me was amazing that's one of the biggest selling albums in hip-hop you understand what I'm saying I was on that thing yesterday I mean when we did million dollar spot when we did Destiny disgusted he in there he wrote this and [ __ ] lyrics smoke the blunt and drunk some Hennessy and had his lyrics done in 15 minutes and [ __ ] I'm sitting up here scratching my head trying to get my bars because I rap fast you know what I'm saying so it took me a long time to write my [ __ ] but I got it done and that [ __ ] became a classic but uh RP the proc Legends gonna say you're getting kind of long went long-winded bro yeah I do I'm from the bay I talk your ears off you still from the bay yeah from the yeah and they got from East Oakland I've never been from the bay okay you ain't never been from Vegas California the Yay Area tunnel people that Vallejo Island water where you catch that Ferry and you're right there in Frisco in 15 minutes you understand me that's the same shock infested waters where they found Humphrey the hunt for humpback whale look at that you see you don't even know nothing about that cause you was in Atlanta he's not the only world that got lost in the Bay by the way let me just let me just clarify a few things like that's why I be talking [ __ ] because oh [ __ ] I ain't really in the big homie when it comes to like base [ __ ] before I go big homie I got to tell this a pre-story first ice cube 1989 we owned a Straight Outta Compton tour and you're on tour right when you're on tour you kind of click up you know little clicks for them so I [ __ ] with Cube on tour that's my [ __ ] whatever however DLC was my [ __ ] like you know easy was my [ __ ] tour but the kid was my guy and when the tour was over and the friction started with NWA you know that should that should divide it like who you with and I remember Rin saying man I mean I'm gonna stick with air I'm a cube telling ran [ __ ] come on [ __ ] let's go and ran was like now I'm gonna stick with Eric uh doc they all like Layla all these my [ __ ] they always like man I'm feeling I just I'm sticking with hey I'm sticking with it with the company and Q quit and the very next year when he dropped uh America's Most Wanted and went on tour who was right there with him too Short Ice Cube on tour like all that [ __ ] like who Gonna Roll It Easy who Gonna Roll with Dre I roll with Ice Cube you know what I'm saying and I tell the story like that because we the big homies we like we like a little older like you say man what's up with Tupac Tupac was like we had multiple platinum albums when certain Legends came along multiple so I had this thing I [ __ ] with Earl Earl's Earl's bigger and and more prominent than most of them and he was connected to my Straight [ __ ] but the rest of them I was like the big homie so I'm sitting around you know I'm platinum and [ __ ] I don't care who you kind of pulled up and was you could be you could name the whole list of them I'm like I'm the first and I'm like [ __ ] you know like I'm hanging with straight [ __ ] I'm like [ __ ] I ain't [ __ ] with you little rap [ __ ] like you know like it was it wasn't even personal because I love pocket we had it we made records together we kicked it but I was just I was like you know they're coming around I'd be kind of quiet and kind of like not trying to be too buddy buddy and [ __ ] and all that [ __ ] and and just cool with it and I was a big homie Earl you always have been the biggest I love you brother you know I just kind of like it yeah I feel that the love that I have for a guy like that was like big brother kind of love like I'm like y'all wild out y'all do all that and then I'm like you know just over here trying to kind of in it it ain't real but you know just kind of trying to play I'm bigger [ __ ] I'm like right just just out of age and not you know I was here at first that type of [ __ ] so I was I was playing that right as you can see both of these [ __ ] can talk fast enough for 25 minutes just listening to both of these [ __ ] how many minutes about 25 30 minutes hey [ __ ] you know I'm guesstimate he was still part of a Digital Underground and um he was just you know the cool young [ __ ] we was both you know the young [ __ ] in around the group you know so we would hang and kicking and [ __ ] you know and uh you know just had real cool camaraderie you know what I'm saying and he would always tell me like you know this digital [ __ ] is cool man but you know I want to do records like y'all you know I want to do it I want you know he said because where I live at this [ __ ] is [ __ ] up you know what I'm saying and uh I want to talk about how the [ __ ] is you know and so I was like well keep doing your thing you know you know you know here he'll see you know that you got talent and [ __ ] in here he'll [ __ ] with you and um and then I started to see him get on more digital records and I was like okay Park is starting to you know move up from just being you know in the background to actually you know I mean doing some songs then he went solos like man you know I'm doing my own thing you know I still [ __ ] with digital but do my own thing he's like yeah I could do the music I want to do you know so I just remember him being a fun dude with a lot of energy you know he would wake you up in the middle of the night when you were sleeping [ __ ] like party over Pop you know we did the show [ __ ] Folk by four in the morning now you know it's like we got a show tomorrow somewhere like time to go to sleep no Park running through the hotel knocking on people doing it you know when they made me get dressed like get up come on we're going downstairs we're going in the lobby we want to [ __ ] with somebody we went to the lobby nobody was in the lobby up in the hotel and uh so he was just you know just a cool dude and then you know he started to blow I remember when he um saw my echo sound one time he just started getting a lot of money couldn't drive with the [ __ ] he had just wrecked one of his beans he's like man I'm [ __ ] freaked out I just wrecked on the freeway I'm like dude you ain't got your license he was like yeah man it's a lot of time in New York I didn't even think I was gonna have to drive right New York [ __ ] yeah I'm [ __ ] wrecked and I was like dude don't kill yourself in these goddamn cars right you know because I was like the second car he had wrecked and [ __ ] so yeah uh I just remember him you know really before he he started really [ __ ] with death Rowan and got into that because you know he he would [ __ ] with John Singleton you know I didn't do poetic justice so John went and got Tupac to do it oh and so it was real cool to see you know John taking another rapper under his wing and turned him into a [ __ ] star you know that's what he did with me so we did with Park then it would bust the Rhymes you know so it was it was just cool to see another you know another rapper in the game getting a shot on the big screen as he was 25 he never lived past 25 right but every time they gave him a mic he said some [ __ ] he said some [ __ ] some [ __ ] like how could you be that yeah in 1992 talking about why Donald Trump is a problem I remember the first time he sat down with a on BT I'm like I knew the guy I'm like what the [ __ ] is he saying like he was talking some real like [ __ ] bro he the guy take take him early man cause I know him from dancing with him there's an underground Cloud around wanna come around with the underground give me the first song on his man my homies it's called Brenda's Got a Baby stuff he said blackmail come on opportunity [Music] they can't [ __ ] Within Myself Away
