Nice! Although, why does one have so many 3/8 drill bits at one time?

[Music] okay so the cabinets finished the next job is to sort out the drill bit storage one of the trace and it's this video bit about organizing this array for all the drill bit storage also how to use this space here and possibly this second drawer as well okay so we start by citing the tray itself so that's nine milk-vetch by and I'm just cutting exercise and then cutting the edge strips and putting my toes on them ready for to do what I've checked all the sizes and I'm growing up and I'm using brand nails to pin it all together using the other sides to lean the base on last time gluing out so now I'll cut the dividers for the tray or something like that and I'll just trim them down to size using a space or the trucks over there I think there and now I'm just making a space a circuit easily place the spacer from the screw and use that as a handle to lift in and out so just sand everything off I'm using 120 grit they're on American paper just knocking off the top edges so it's nice and smoothly there you can see the spacer with the screw as a handle just run a strip of glue spread it glue it down and now I think I've pinned their little run nail it to the base just using a block of wood to keep my fingers away from those pins it's just a case of working my way up from one side marking on the back pin daily and then I think at some point I start working in from the other side so the center divider is the one with the bearings in a way the all the others are the same size and now I'm just working out the spacing for all the drill bits and the dividers are going to need some drops have just two spaces and some props have three so I'm using the calipers here to work out the width and then just scribe a line then market in pencil before cutting it on the miter saw so I've created a space set with a screw in it for setting the dividers making sure they're at 90 degrees and all the same spacing to each other or each section of them and the same spacing to each other and these just get a tiny bit of I think it's tight bond three let's get pushed in use the screw to take the handle and that's it these don't get pinned nailed originally these trays we're going to use sections of pipe you can see there the pipe I'm just using to the hold the drill bit blast I sandy out and I think with a spray with a pea coat varnish in a second and then I line it with the foam see how the PVC idea weather with their because they they kind of took up too much space but section of drill bits it wasn't very optimized use of the drawer space that would have so here I am just trimming the Thames and lining the base of each trough now later on like this video but I will be adding DiMeo labels to each to each partition and they will state the drill bit size and also some kind of way of marking when I've taken a drill bit which trough I took it from maybe a little hole work but we were pin around the train itself but that's not going to be in this video if you follow me on instagram that will be there this little tray here is full of step bits you can see and I think they've later on you I update that trade so that it also has a row for drill bits tops as well you'll see that in the later section of the video you know I'm just using CA glue I'm not using the activator just the glue itself I find the activator crystallizes the glue and makes a bit of a mess whereas if you just let it dry and so it does a very nice job and it dries pretty quick if you pin now is just from both sides a lot in the bottom of the tray probably overkill just look at all the guts of the saw they haven't either we sharpen my blade and just soften the edges and I think when I said this tree gets the divider if initially you'll see this state doesn't so this this tray here is I think it's an 18 million the total bit of boats probably together and I leave a u-shape of wood there so I can do some CA rather than clamping up in nearly I can just use some CA to hold it down and the the wood glue setup I did strictly up on the table saw all the miter saw and I just knocked off the edges with sandpaper and I'm just marking up I'm cutting out a section on the end for a leather tab I was tidying up with a chisel and then I just trim and then it's had which I'm going to fold over to make it have a bit of thickness to it on the fold when this tabs up so you can easily help lift the trap you'll see that in a second so I point the contact adhesive and it's set off now so I'm just gonna press on it to stick it together you can see the little fold in the leather there give me a thumb grip for lifting out the tray it fits beautifully into the groove of cut I'm just marking up now for two holes which I'll drill and self tap those bolts into hole punching the leather and peeing another ready for some more contact adhesive but you see me by now or reflection of the boss probably not required yeah contact heeds it would be more than just fighting clamping pressure to really set that context adhesive working so that's just the whole pattern marked up really for drilling I think about 16 holes simply that slip on drew up lock it down just swept away through I think it's 20 else bothered about us so here's a useful little tip if you use the point on the Brad bit while sits in the draw press line to get to the fence you just mark up your holes for them have you come to drill them you've already got a registration point here I'm just using a countersink to tidy up each of the holes and I coat the tray with some beeswax and fill it with all the counter secrets I have and I think black hole it's as well okay so the last part of the top drawer is this sliding tray that will sit on top of the job it's here I'm just cutting a again I think it's six more piece of food supply - sighs this is a little jig I made for cutting 25-degree - it was late at night I didn't want to use the miter saw and this has been more finesse to it using the Japanese so anyway it's this is very similar to the first range so we made I used the spare sights as I progressed through the glue to rest the base on seating it now we've got this one put in there and use the other sides to rest on there I worked the way around just using pin nails I think five pins if of the sides nutes micro afterwards as well okay so I decided I wanted a raised center divider for this excuse piece of wood here I'm just marking the edges and I'm going to set another eye for the Rays that I want on it nothing after the bandsaw I cut the curve the courage straight lines and then just sound sound the curve into we're doing they're just experimenting with the layout of the bits that I have perhaps I should have done that first so yeah just Michel pencil lines are nowhere where I can just lay the glue just checking it centered I'll leave a little space in the middle and the edges there for some CA glue so I can use the combination of wood glue it ca they just working at placements for the cross dividers using a pencil line and CA so do these have been sanded edge is knocked off I'll glue them in and there will be phone bases tweets of these stations so a little bit beeswax just to protect the wood and using the space of each tray to mark a little slit in the air to the phone and then taking the ruler to where those marks are joining them up very easy way of reference cutting the phone for the trace anyhow that's pretty much it you'll see this trigger in the drawer in a second if you've enjoyed this one don't forget to like subscribe follow me on Instagram and Facebook but most of all subscribe here so you you catch the next video I did mention that on the tray there I'm gonna have a little some way of marking which straw bits I've taken out of there and also drill bit sizes so that's all going to be on there you'll see that on Instagram how are you doing this one any comments questions let me know I appreciate the comments and I'll try and answer everyone cheers guys
