[Applause] well today is show number 3 000. wow that's right 3 000 shows nearly 20 000 guests over 35 million dollars in resources since i taped my first show 17 seasons ago now we started this show promising to shine a bright light on silent epidemics six years ago we taped show number 2000. the stories now are as powerful as they have ever been take a look there's a real simple rule that i follow and that is you just don't reward bad behavior you have a disease right now and it has to be dealt with this is the day you can find your way back for 3 000 shows you've welcomed dr phil into your home making him america's most watched daytime talk show i am pregnant and it is jesus i'm going to go get the spanking spoon that's one say yes sir i did it to stop the bad behavior tell me i'm wrong you're wrong i believe that tyler perry is raising my son so you are married to tyler perry yes i am i'm a really good drunk driver she was arrested in her car with no pants on where were your pants they were at home we shoot off dick seven times a day this is your home dad they beat me down then grow a pair and be a man she had sent him over two hundred thousand dollars he's my man he's my life he doesn't exist go to hell we'll leave her out of it for a minute let's get her out of here then so the question is how are your favorite and most memorable guests doing well today you're going to find out about a whole lot of them you'll remember charles he sent me a dramatic plea from the back of an ambulance begging for help saving his 12-year long relationship i'm in the back of an ambulance right now heading to the hospital my chest hurts please help me i've left charles 19 times and he would take any situation and exploit it to keep me with him i'm a complete wreck because of what sally's doing to him sally is already dating another man aren't you married still yes i am charles has never met the other man alan come on out you're disgusting and a despicable human being i do love her though and i wish that i could do something to change to have her in my life okay hold on stop i'm gonna have to ask you to leave i am not gonna have you here mocking this situation [Music] i've left you 19 times and 19 times you have sabotage you keep me there to help pay the rent isolating me from my family robin what's the number one tool of an abuser isolation thank you from family from friends co-workers everyone she knows and depends on relies on isolation okay i'm an abuser i don't agree with being an abuser so did sally leave charles for good or did charles completely change actually uh well after the show um i realized my self-worth robin really said some beautiful things that made me realize that i deserve better bro because you really helped me your words they really touched my heart and they went to the on-site program with me where i was so willing and hungry to make change in my life thank you dr phil well you've taken better care of yourself as well because since you were here you've lost 57 pounds and i got you working with robert reams yes uh who's a trainer hey robert charles is there anything else that you still need my help with yes dr phil i think you're uh holding something of mine wow sally i would like to marry you would you marry me yes i would well we're going to have to uh we're going to have to give us a close-up on that ring although i shouldn't do that you're putting a lot of pressure on the rest of us here congratulations dr congratulations thank you so much thank you so much i can't tell you guys i'm proud of you okay all right i still get questions about whatever happened to the man who believed he was batman and was more dedicated to fighting crime than keeping his fiancee happy take a look my fiance believes that he is a real life superhero just fighting crime and taking care of business i'm not crazy i'm not delusional i'm batman he is a 24-hour superhero this is real life this is not some sort of fairy tale if caitlyn marries me she would be mrs batman that's not even an option hey dr phil since we were last on your show a lot has changed see you old friend my batman days are over i sold the batman mask when i was on stage dr phil asked me if i was delusional are you delusional do you suffer from a mental illness i strongly oppose that view i was delusional and i was wrong you can set the bar much higher than you've set and find out what your worth is to him dr phil after the show i left geo for almost three months i really took it to heart and i worked on fixing our relationship dr phil you gave me some tough love and i'm glad you did because you completely changed the course of my life it's like batman changing back to bruce wayne i am so happy to hear that update and oh giovanni you're never getting that mass back i can tell you for sure you put it for sale and i have it now all right next this mother said she couldn't leave her hello kitty themed bedroom for more than two hours a day because of her over 70 different health issues so how is she doing today well we're going to find out after the break congratulations dr phil on 3 000 episodes i got to tell you that's really buying the pony for a barrel of pecans but if you sharpen your pencil in your mother's yard you can't change your hat twice on a sunday hey it's jimmy kimmel i would like to take a moment to say congratulations to my primary care physician dr mcgraw on reaching a huge career milestone 3 000 shows you know over the years dr phil has captured our clogged and very very fat-filled hearts with inspirational stories of men who breastfeed their chihuahuas and hookers with unicorn horns you name it he's done it and we are far richer for it so congratulations to you dr phil is that good i have found a new low dr phil congratulations 3 000 episodes of television it's incredible you are uh in a league of your own when it comes to doing what you do we love you at this show so much but please please i know you're making all of these thousands of episodes of television just try and find some time to get into a sport like i don't know tennis or something like that just carve out the time we love you phil congratulations buddy 3 000 episodes of television congratulations dr phil on three you're telling me 3 000 episodes that guy's got to make a lot of money oh is this still on it's michael weatherly i'm sure he's really hurt and it seems to me you're making a fair amount of money playing me on bull so shabita said on this stage five years ago her family insisted she was a dramatic hypochondriac who was destroying her family take a look i just wish that i would die in my sleep my sister is a hypochondriac this woman is addicted to being sick you've got 72 diagnosis in the last 10 years you do have physical problems they do not require you to stay in a room for 20 hours a day eating out of a hello kitty microwave you can get your life back i don't want my life back do you see how everyone's taking care of you how you're loving this you need to sit down and listen to your daughter if you walk off this stage our relationship is done shamita come on out [Applause] you've taken an opioid medication 2014. wow for five years so tell me about your relationship with your children and family my sister's my best friend and my daughter she actually lives right behind me so we see each other every day well i'm so i am so glad you look so much healthier and so much better and thank you for taking the time to come back here and update this and share it with you now when i met my next guest kirsten she was 18 years old and pregnant by her abusive 30 year old ex-con boyfriend kirsten what's your status with your boyfriend i don't have a boyfriend after the show i completely left john i've never talked to him again i got very intense counseling and i can't only thank you for helping me you totally 100 saved my life and your son is now four four years old he has never met his dad um he's never been in the picture nor has his family so just me and my wonderful family okay and that's working well for you very well yeah here's why we do this thank you for coming all right next they were 16 year old identical twins with identical eating disorders are they still dying to be thin plus a three-year-old dubbed the bedtime bandit and a hugely spoiled two-year-old show so 3 000 shows that's pretty good of course you know i did 4 631 tonight shows but we never really made a big deal about it we just quietly put our heads down and did the work because that's how people were back in the day but anyway listen congratulations and uh give me a call when you hit 46.31 congratulations [Music] when i met identical twins taylor and tricia they admitted they only had a few months to live due to deadly identical eating disorders take a look [Music] we're both anoxic and bulimic we're identical twins as well as twins is to look identical so we don't have people saying oh you're the bigger twin tell me what you're thinking right now i see the pictures in the background i didn't know i looked that thin the girls are done eating now and they're going to the bathroom to throw up their food mean about it they feel that is if we do this for attention i do it because my mind's messed up i didn't realize that you ate that much and went straight to the bathroom and threw it on not a part of my life my dad has called us names like bag of bones skeletons you look like you're gonna die it's like how can my own dad say that to me all of these adults in your life care about you but they don't know what to do you have to have help well it's been two years now and they have each gained over 40 healthy pounds taylor and trisha come on out [Applause] hey girl how are you so good to see you vote well it's good to see more of you yes so tell me how are you doing we're doing great yeah we feel wonderful what was the hardest thing that you had to do the two of you to turn this thing around honestly i think being separated from each other and the hardest part was being away from each other but that's what built us to be so strong what do you say to to young women that are fighting this disease i'd say just never lose hope in yourself no matter how many times you fail there's always another chance to go at it again and thank you for coming back and giving us this update it means everything in the world it really does chris was only three years old when his parents came to me desperate for help getting their bedtime bandit to sleep take a look at this what are you doing get in bed soccer phil i don't like this i'm the mother of a three and a half year old son who won't go to sleep at night get under your covers now please good night good night baby we've tried threatening him next time i come in here you're gonna get pap pap the routine that we've got is just not working chris come on give mommy a break tonight i'm tired you realize you're in a tug of war with a three and a half year old and you're losing yes chris do you have any recollection of any of this at all uh no no you've seen the tapes and all what do you think about it when you look at it i laugh at it it's kind of like a party trick like i tell my friends that and they're like why did you never tell us that yeah it's really interesting for us to see somebody that we worked with at three years old come back now at 18 and see that you weren't damien the devil child it actually turned out okay so thank you for coming and telling us about this we really appreciate it all right katie was only two years old when i met her parents who were arguing over spoiling her rotten she's a senior in high school now how's she doing take a look katie little strawberry if you like it we'll get it for you we're gonna get this too i spend a fortune on my daughter for christmas i spent about three thousand dollars total how we spend our money is the greatest source of tension in our relationship you've refinanced the home to cover your credit card debt but yet you're still using the credit cards bottom line you like the way you feel when you give her everything she wants she is the smartest most well-rounded two-year-old you ever meet and i think it's because of some of the toys that i buy she knows her abcs she can count to 30. but i'll bet you i can fill up a u-haul trailer with stuff that doesn't have a damn thing to do with her knowing how to count to 30. hi dr phil it's katie i'm 17 and a senior in high school i wanted to thank you for talking to my parents because after being on your show they taught me the value of hard work well i've been working since i was 14 years old as a camp counselor bussing tables and tutoring my neighbors and i hope to study forensic psychology next year happy 3000th episode [Music] you mean somebody listened are you kidding me okay it's really good to hear from these kids now that they're growing up next oprah plus robin says she has a special surprise for me and well i have something up my sleeve for her as well because i couldn't have done any of these 3 000 shows without her by my side all that's after the break [Music] i can't believe it's 3 000 shows really i thought three years maybe and now here we are 18 seasons later i know what that's like every day offering service offering information offering hope robin don't forget robin congratulations well it's hard to believe that 21 years ago i made my very first appearance on the oprah show and together we launched dr phil in 2002. i absolutely could not have done any of it without robin it's been an amazing 18 years filled with so many personal milestones for our family that's right phillip and i have a very special surprise for you so here it is hi dad hi phil hi we are so proud of you and want to say congratulations on 3 000 shows what an amazing accomplishment it's amazing to look back 18 years ago eric and i didn't even know each other yet this is show 1000. and i remember the thousandth episode and i certainly didn't have these kiddos that's crazy how time flies and grandma you haven't missed one show so fun to watch both of you go through such an amazing journey together congratulations again on 3 000 shows what's up dad just want to say congratulations when you started i was a teenage emo kid and now i'm a moderately emo adult but you know at least it worked out for the best mom you gotta have some crazy butt grooves in that chair cause i've been sitting in that thing for a while i hope you like that chair because you're going to sit in it for a whole lot longer too congrats guys that's great to hear from them i am proud to say that robin has been in this studio for all 3 000 shows she has never missed a single one in addition to that she does so much more behind the scenes and part of that is being one of the most active and outspoken ambassadors in the fight against domestic violence she's made it her life's mission to ensure women and children live healthy safe and joy-filled lives take a look my hope and my prayer for each and every one of you is that you learn to live and be simply the best that you can be the best [Music] robin is the connector it's the great connector recently robin announced the first program from her new foundation when georgia smiled the program is called the aspire initiative the aspire app has a function i call the go button that you can activate the moment you are in danger the app has been downloaded over a million times you're going to be safe he cannot hurt you i wish for every one of you who suffers don't carry that burden alone it is my honor to present a grant for fifty thousand dollars it's gonna be just a beautiful redo i'm grateful how this is of them [Music] hey girls we women lead very busy lives and we take care of our husbands and our children and work boss family and i think sometimes we forget about us the main reason i wanted to do this for y'all and for all women is to give that message that it's not selfish to take care of yourself this has just been a fabulous experience i'm not kidding it's just changed my life it really has robin had the pleasure of meeting 12 years ago well today each one of those women says they are living better lives because of robin and they are all here please welcome lisa i can't believe it you other people's needs first right so once robin said that i really i took that away from the show and it resonated in me i echo that exactly the same major impact but also another one which my husband who's here loves is the fact that i will go out on date nights and wear things that are mars thank you so much for coming back and giving us this update um you know robin said she couldn't keep a
