we're in the midst Song of Solomon 3 a man starting at verse 1 in the amplified that we can begin to look at together and begin to read here what the Lord is saying unto us does anybody want to hear what the Lord is saying one more time just lift your hands to the Lord and ask him to speak to you and ask him to help you to be receptive to what he's saying I need to hear from you but I also need Lord is calling you out of your comfort zone in case you do not realize God is allowing some very drastic things to happen in our lives things that are beyond our ability our talents our intellect our connections that we have with people our finances they are beyond all the things which we possess we don't have the ability to fix these situations God is allowing some very strenuous things because he's determined that we're going to live Zachariah chapter 4 verse 6 as it is placed in the King James Zechariah chapter 4 verse 6 and the word of the Lord came unto Zerubbabel saying not by power nor by might but by my spirit saith the Lord God is determined that we are not going to simply be apostolic in title but we must be apostolic in lifestyle and unfortunately what happens to us is when things go fairly well we get too comfortable and we get to the point where we lose passion Drive and intensity and so unfortunately God sometimes has to allow difficulty to arise to such magnitude that it makes it very clear to us that we need him and that needing of him creates a passion and intensity and a drive of what we call the passionate pursuit of his presence that we recognize that having him is not an option having him is not something that we can do without but having him is absolutely mandatory God told me to tell this church and first we'll look at first Corinthians chapter 2 verse 16 in the King James first Corinthians chapter 2 verse 16 they're having trouble with the screen so you're gonna have to use your Bibles that's why you bring your Bible first Corinthians chapter 2 r16 amen and i just want the latter portion of the verse and in the bible says this for we have the mind of Christ God has actually given us his mind the problem is we do not normally take the time to cultivate and learn the mind of God I've grown up in church oven-safe well over 40 years and traveled many many places and experienced church in many many different places in arena and one of the thing I consistently find is that God's people want God to give more than they're willing to give they want the power of God without much price they want the presence of God without many things to go through they simply want God to bless them because they showed up but it is not when God finds a people that are hungry that are passionate it will absolutely go after him then you will find that God will appear and appear with great power and mind but can I tell you this my friends look at job chapter 29 verse 18 in the King James job 29 18 just want the first part of that verse job said this he said I will die in my nest that nest speaks of a comfortable nests job 29 80 now I'll die in my nest when you in a realm of comfortableness you will die your spirituality will die this is why God is calling you out of your comfort zones to come out of your comfort zone means you get to the point where you don't care what your friends think you can laugh at me you can make fun of me but last time I checked you don't keep demons off of me you might be somebody I talked to you might be someone I laugh with you might be someone who I'm even concerned about but I've got it in perspective because you're not the one that heals me you're not the one that forgives me you're not the one that protects me you are not the sustainer of my sanity nor the lover of my soul nor the lifter of my head you're not the one that woke me up this morning I will not be afraid of you I will not become so afraid of my friends and my peers that I will not give in to the Spirit of God the Apostolic Church has been bragging about one God for years while we are controlled by an unholy trinity the fear of man fear failure fear being hurt we are so afraid of each other we are so afraid of what people think we are so afraid of being hurt we are so afraid of looking like we're not spiritual or somebody that we don't step out of our comfort zones we can't even get people to step out of their seats hardly and go after God you make an altar calling people drag they don't want to be the first one up there because they don't want to be afraid like that and their their news put on blast you call for pre-service prayer and the people of God would rather sit and stare off into space or talk to each other then go and invest and talk to God yet they expect a powerful service yet they expect God to show up yet they expect deliverance miracle signs and wonders but they won't put him the time to cause it to come to pass Oh God raise up a hunger in this church God said if you're not paying attention in this city the devil is running rampant we've got 9 homicides that happened in this city within seven days and God said the only way this church is gonna rise to meet the challenge is you're gonna have to come out of your comfort zone you're gonna have to display more passion than what you're displaying you cannot sit there like our just statues you cannot just simply gently move and expect to move of God there's going to have to be a hunger that comes on the inside of your belly that says I need Thee Oh I need thee every hour I need Thee somebody lift your hands and shout uneasy I need you I need you I need you the Lord has in essence spoken that he is looking for apostolic s-- that will simply stop bragging about a doctrine but are not making it a lifestyle God is looking for people to live the Apostolic doctrine in other words you were only served one God you will not serve the God of fear you will not serve the God of the fear failure or the fear of being hurt or the fear of man people's opinions of what they think about you but you serve only one God and you will only be controlled by one God God is looking for people that will live the baptism in Jesus name do you not understand that baptism in Jesus name when you go down in the water that is the symbol but the substance my friend is found in the very phrase itself baptism in Jesus name the Greek word baptizo means the plant peri submerge the Greek word for name means character identity purpose and Majesty place it all together to be baptized into Jesus name is to be planted buried submerge into Jesus character into Jesus identity into Jesus purpose and into Jesus majesty how can you be baptized in Jesus identity and have low self esteem you got the symbol of the baptism you have not yet obtained the substance how can you be upset and disappointed about not getting your purpose when you are baptized into his purpose how is it that it's about your comfort how is it is about your preference and what you liked when you were baptized into that name you forfeited all of those rights and you did it willingly because you were saying that you love him but God wants to understand from your perspective how is it that you said I'm I read in this name and I'm buried into your purpose and yet you don't want your children to move away when I say it's time for them to move away because you're so concerned about having your grandchildren near you and your children near you you're more concerned about your comfort and your feelings then you are my plan and my purpose but there has to be a hunger that says your plan and your purpose are more important than my pain or my pleasure Oh God have your way we are the true Apostolic that are not just apostolic in title I didn't name but an apostolic in lifestyle and in action Jeremiah chapter 29 starting in verse 11 in the amplified bible Jeremiah 29 verse 11 in the amplified bible and we're going to read down a few verses because we want you to hear what the Lord is saying to you as a people of God we love verse 11 Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 11 verse 11 is one of these scriptures that we quote very much in the King James but unfortunately what happens to us as we quote the promises without the requirements we want promises without requirement we simply want God to bless us without there being too much inconvenience to us but I'm telling you if you want what God is offering your flesh is going to have to die you're going to have to come out of your comfort zone of what you're used to here's the understanding if you want something you've never had you're gonna have to start doing some things you've never done you cannot get a $5,000 plus blessing with five cents worth of praise if you are in need of great praise then you must give or great blessing that you must give a great praise now if you don't need much then I understand this response but look what he said he said for I know the thoughts that I think toward you isn't that powerful he said thoughts of peace not evil to give you an expected end that's the King James do we have it in the amplified okay that's fine let's go then to verse 12 verse 12 listen to what he said then shall you call upon me you shall go pray unto me and I will hearken unto you now did you notice the connection then this connects to the previous verse see you want verse 11 or verse 11 without doing verse 12 you simply want to know that he thinks good about you and has an expected end for you that word expected end speaks of destiny he has destiny for you but how that destiny is activated is when you come to verse 12 it's when you'll call upon him it's when you go after him it's what you will pray unto him I know it so it's when you will hearken hearken means you listen with the intent to obey it's when you are already made up in your mind before you ever tell me what you want I've already declared I will do it and I will do it with joy and not with grief but I will do it because I love you because if you're willing to go to a cross from me that I'm willing to be inconvenienced for you verse 13 verse 13 let's move on he said you shall seek me and find me when you shall search for me with all of your heart not the leftovers part of the problem that we're running into it Christianity is that God is getting the leftovers he is consistently reliving the Christmas story that is where there was no room for him in the inn there was only room inside of a stable the places where they kept the animals and this is what God consistently finds out with in our lives there's not much room for him it's wherever we can seem to fit him in he gets the leftovers we're amen in essence the animals would receive but God is looking for somebody that Oh prioritize and know your Bible know your Bible we say a lot of things that are not scriptural we say put God first please find that that's why we're struggling let me show you why we're struggling Hosea chapter 4 verse 6 Hosea chapter 4 verse 6 it is not enough for you to live the rules of the church to do the outward standards of holiness outward standards is the symbol but if you don't have the substance of the standard the symbol means nothing if the symbol is what saved you then you've already lost because all you got to do is look at these Muslim women who are covered from head to toe if that's what salvation is is an outward look that you've already lost that is a symbol you are supposed to be dressed in the inner man your spirit is supposed to be dressed with the garment of praise you are supposed to have on the robe of righteousness you are supposed to have on the armor of God if you don't have the substance the symbol means nothing your hair women are supposed to symbolize submission I don't care how long your hair is if you're not submissive in your spirit to God if you're so strong-willed that you're always trying to twist God's arm to get what you want your hair means nothing we have rested so on our symbols we have rested so on what we do in following the rules that mix us wholly if this could make us holy I want to know why he had to die if all I had to do was dress a certain way and act a certain way and talk a certain way then that's what it took to get salvation widening out to hang naked on a cross because that is not what brings salvation what brings salvation is when you get the substance that goes on the inside that matches the symbol that's on the outside you must have both it's like going to the grocery store and you pick up a can of beans and you get home and you find tomatoes the people didn't match the content you want your money back God said I need for the label to match the content I need for the outward symbol to match what's going on in wordly and the inward to match what's going on somebody lift your hands and tell the Lord I love you I adore you knit up a robe and reiha-sama borrow I adore you hosea chapter 4 verse 6 I want you to hear the word of the Lord my people he is not talking about the world this is very specific my people are destroyed because of the devil is that what he said you destroy because you don't have enough money in short because you don't know the answers to your problems he said you're destroyed for the lack of knowledge you're destroyed because of what you don't know regarding the word of the Lord then he went on to say because thou has rejected knowledge in other words God watches you learn anything you want to learn he watches you get on the computer learn new programs he watches you learn cellphones he watch you to learn how to cook when you wanted to cook he watches you invest time in whatever you consider to be important but now his word you say things that are not scriptural you don't study you just quote what you heard other people quote you never go to look it up yourself you never do and so God takes that as rejection that I am NOT valuable enough for your time valuable enough I've watched you get on YouTube I watched you surf the the net for hours I want you to get into Facebook and talk to your friends for hours but you don't put your face into my book you want all this power they were all this anointing but you don't even invest to know me you think just because you speak in tongues and have my name and come to church and do outward standards this is enough to all of a sudden have a divine encounter God said no no no my friend my calling card has never ever been acts 2:38 you want to know God's calling card blessed are they which are and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled I come in accordance to your hunger you don't have much hunger of me you can just sit there watch your mouth closed and hardly move then don't expect much from me but if you dare to press beyond the comfort zones you dare to press beyond the norm you will find me may I be honest with you the average Jehovah Witness can eat the breakfast lunch and dinner of the average Apostolic without a problem they have an entire book published on how to answer us in the Pentecostal realm which they study and while we're going well I think it's somewhere in Hebrews or somewhere in the scriptures they're quoting chapter and verse they will come and study their Bibles for three hours oh my god if the preacher goes longer than 45 minutes he's long-winded now we'll go home and watch a movie for two hours and feed our flesh of 45 minutes for eternity is too long we're bored when is this preacher going to act like Moses and let God's people go but God said is there anybody hungry in this house is there anybody else a Lord increases my spiritual appetite I've got to have more I do not want the average Christianity I don't want to meander in the maze of mediocracy I don't want to ponder at the pool of popularity I want a divine encounter that changes me look what he said after he said because I reject his knowledge look what else he said because I has forgotten the law of thy Lord God I will also forget your children you want me to touch your little Johnny you want me to touch your little Suzy but you don't have time for me I don't have time for your kids you don't have time to read you have time to pray I don't have time for your children you say why because I'm after a godly seed I'm after a godly lineage and you're not preparing me a godly lineage it took more than just bapt or just just dedicating them at birth it took more than just taking them so the Sunday school it takes for you to live in front of them it takes for you not to live a casual thing in front of them you can't go home and have fake preacher and fright Saint and then expect your children to want to come and live for God they have got to see somebody that is seeking that is pressing consistently going after never comfortable always wanting more somebody yell anymore you hear me now I need more because thou has forgotten the law of that God I will also forget thy children no the devil is not destroying you you want to give them credit your tape no because you don't know what to do as far as your future your finances or your relationships no that's not destroying you no no the struggles you're having in life that's not what's destroying you is that you won't take the time and invest in knowing who he is as I travels I interact with God's people I find that most Apostolic have a sunny school version a city school understanding of God sunny school was their foundation and they've never gone beyond that to study and to invest you start talking about the per ah Abdul ma which is the ashes of the red heifer clueless absolutely clueless how do you understand Jesus as the ultimate sacrifice and don't understand the ashes of the red heifer how do you understand a church service and don't understand the tabernacle of David don't you know that David was the first one to put music and singing into the order of worship of God there was no singing in worship and the tabernacle of Moses David established 288 musicians and singers how are you a singer and a Levite and you've never studied this why are you so skillful at playing and so skillful at singing but you're not skillful at the word that instructed this don't you know that God mentioned music 989 times in Scripture but only mentioned hell 72 times God speaks about music 12 times more that he speaks about hell and yet you don't know what he says about it how do you sing and lead people into the presence without knowledge you want what you want to go where but yet I watch you study in university I want you to listen to monotone professors I watch you pay prices for books of a hundred and fifty dollars or more I watch you want to use six chapters only to turn the book back in and how do I get back any money from it and yet you won't invest in the things of God it's too expensive to spend a hundred dollars for a Bible you go to the bookstore you have a Bible at pictures God said you're gonna get out of this what you're paying what you're putting into it you want more you will find me I am not hard to be found but I will only be found by the hungry you want to come in here and just have churches normal then welcome to churches normal but if you want to get to the point where you want a true divine encounter and you understand that you're just simply not here to have Church but you are the church I want to live with you I want to talk with you I want to move with you I must know you somebody lift your hands to him right now oh god help us we don't even know why we do what we do please don't misunderstand me I've not come by the spirit or to condemn you or to try to put you on some guilt trip God doesn't do that that's why you have to know him because you already know that's not what he's trying to do he said what is he doing he's challenging you he's saying I love you and I died to give you so much more but that more is going to come from investment it's not going to come from sitting in a comfort zone saying that you know me because you are third and fourth generation apostolic don't you understand that Jews had a longer heritage than that they could go back thousands of years into the ancestry you're bragging over fifth generation apostolic really and yet when Jesus showed up on the scene after thousands of years of heritage that they could literally trace back name by name by name they didn't know him I didn't recognize him you know who he was he was walking amongst them talking to them healing in front of them they didn't know it this is one of the greatest concerns of my life I've watched it too many times God steps up into service and his people don't recognize him you say what are you it's okay the baby's alright that's alright God lets that happen he lets opposition happen because you gotta learn to climb over some stuff to get to God you climb over anything else to get anything else you want but my god you not suppose to have any opposition in church and opposed to be any difficulty let me tell you why there's always difficult you ever noticed this n okay what church you go to you're going to find certain difficulties one is the temperature it's always too hot past you're too cold never seems to be just right it's never Goldilocks I ask God about that I said what's that what this he said I watch you get out in temp frigid temperatures to go to work I want you to get out and hot temperatures to go to work and I watch you do it because you learned from Disney aiyyo aiyyo so off to work I go get out of that or out of a aiyyo aiyyo and I watch you wishing you didn't have to get out of bed but push I watch you sit there and you want to get spiritual what st. mattress but I watch you make up in your mind you're getting up it's a case of mind over matter Asst you got to make up your mind you're getting off that mattress and I watch you push out of your comfort zone out of your warm house out of your nice environment to get what you need then I watch you come to church pastor is too hot I can't worship it's too cold do you get it right I'm not coming back sound systems too loud I gotta wear earplugs you want what you never seen that sign you know they're all on the ground laughing sing you want it win you want what see we want all this power we don't have any difficulty or it's the devil we're not supposed to have any kind of a fight when it comes to God he's just supposed to hand it to us and everything she's supposed to be peaches and cream we're supposed to lift our hands and say Jesus and my god the heavens roll back and God just descends because he heard you say his name you're not supposed to fight through tiredness my god we don't even try we just go to sleep we call it meditation we called laying before the Lord we called it joining cane in the Land of Nod no push no effort no fight we don't even fight to keep our minds here God can be speaking to us our minds are off somewhere what we ate last week whew that was good almost felt the spirit when I thought about that thing was good whoo God's going when are you going to fight to come after me know ye that the Lord he is God it is he that has made us and not we ourselves we are his people and the Sheep of his pasture now look at verse 4 look at verse 4 and turned to his gates with his courts with did you catch this oh you didn't catch this you're so used to quoting this until you don't stop take time to study it when you're shouting dancing running the aisles swinging your handkerchief how can in a buckin where are you you entered to his gates with courts with your chest in the outer court you act like this is the depth of the service when you're shouting and dancing and you got your hair speaking in tongues you act like that's the depth of the sir you're in the outer court you're nowhere near Holy of Holies and because you have not studied to know him understand God you would understand God would never tell you to put him first this is what he tells you to put first but seek ye first the kingdom not the king the kingdom that's the ministry the kingdom of heaven seek first the kingdom and his righteousness right wait right power to act right power to do right power to think right and then all these things shall be added unto you that's what you seek first now when it comes to him Amos chapter 5 verse 4 and mister chapter 5 verse 4 he ain't gonna tell you to seek Him first and he'll explain that to you in just a moment but you got to start studying we're quoting a whole lot of stuff that's so unscriptural do you remember how devil got Eve he asked Eve a question what did God say when he noticed that Eve added to God's Word dead you're dead in the water sister you goose is cooked you don't know what you're talking about and that's what's happened to many of you you're quoting stuff and saying stuff and the devil goes Apostolic whatever that's why he doesn't care if you shout you sit there and your feet go ahead baby cuz I know how to take it all the way from you once you're gone I know how to break your heart I'll take this one phone call all it takes is for me to send a thought to your head because you don't have enough word you don't know how to fight it off you end up being depressed lonely fearful miserable like this I know we don't believe in Halloween but we sure do practice it we live with a mask and a costume we come to church with masks on and we try to fake it til we make it shake hands with people look like we're smiling happy and inside we're dying and literally suicidal we don't have to give to the spirit operating in our church in fact we're afraid of the gifts we're afraid of them Apostolic and scared of the gifts people start speaking in tongues we move we move away from them they might have some as one person called the giffy they might have a disease or something I don't want to catch it how are you Apostolic and don't operate in the gifts that's how they lived they lived on the street operating him the gifts of the Spirit it's not just for the for the ministry it's for the laity shall yes it's for the laity to you the congregation did you see we said Amos 5 and 4 for thus saith the Lord into the house of Israel listen what he said seek ye me and what he didn't say seek me we don't know why we do it is what we do does anybody want to get deeper into the things of God I want to know him I want to understand these things how can I be powerful and God not know these things we shake hands and greet each other by saying praise the Lord because this is the day in which water flows out of the wells of salvation this isn't just a ritual this is just something we do in charge don't want to praise them the word causes you to praise them I want to know the word so deep inside of your DNA until you don't even know what to do but you do know what to do because you know to glorify Him you know to speak that word you know to edify him and you do what the word tells you to do even while the devil is mocking you even while others are saying to you you're crying to God and where is he but that word was a fire do you see the difference of what we've been saying do you see why the devil's whooping us without a problem that's why God's telling you children of God study stop studying your eyelids and start studying my word why do you have strength to cook why do you have strength to clean up your house why do you have strength for everything else but you don't have strength to listen to my word and you don't seem to have strenght to study or spend time in my word come on there Jones again to him and glorify you would you love on him a moment Lord increase my taught the first principles of the Oracles of God and you're someone who has need of milk and not of meat we can't talk about certain depths I don't know about you but when I read this scripture it upsets me I wish I could go back in time and smack these folk because if you just could have heard more we could have got more so you don't get it when you can't hear more others don't end up getting more it's not just affecting you I'm like Lord give me a time machine so I can go back and smack the taste out their buds listen this go to verse 13 for every one that uses milk is what I don't care everyone that is is that useless milk is unskillful in the word of righteous for he is 14 but strong meat belongeth to them that are what those belong to those that are mature who have their senses exercised to discern I know is they're not just mature in the Word of God they're mature in the operation of the Spirit of God they know how to walk in the spirit they know how to be used by God through the spirit let me close with this chapter 6 verse 1 listen to what he says therefore leaving behind the principle other dime said leave it behind yeah see acts 2:38 you got to start leaving that behind oh my god that's blasphemy no it's written we've got to stop playing ring-around-the-rosie around acts 2:38 acting like this is the end-all and the be-all and this is the truth of the word of the Lord it is a truth therefore leaving behind the principles of the doctrine let's move on to perfection perfection means maturity the doctrine was never meant to mature you the doctrine is a birth move on past the doctrine and he lists the doctrines he says of the laying on a handling again the foundation of repentance from dead works of faith towards God of the doctrines of baptisms notice the plural because you're doing what baptism water baptism of spirit he lists six major doctrines that you're supposed to know have grounded into your spirit and then move past into the depths of God's Word would you stand on your feet right now the Lord's calling for the hungry he's calling for those of you that want more you're not satisfied with the relationship you have and can I be honest with you sometimes intellectually we understand we shouldn't be satisfied but to be honest - which is the heart that's just where we are as sometimes we have to just go to God and say hey look I know I'm not supposed to be here but I'm here so I'm asking you to increase my hunger increase my thirst crease my desire for more of you I've got to have more of you I don't want to stay here where I am I want to know you someone say I want to know you would you lift your hands to him right now and give him glory give him honor come on I want to know you I want more of an experience I want to know you any hunger anybody hungry in this house don't you walk away and let the devil condemn you don't you walk away let the devil beat you up come on that's not what God's doing come on God is
