be my ornament we'll go into the scriptures in just a little bit discussing all that God is saying I will tell you this what the Lord told me is that I am throwing down the gauntlet simply meaning that I'm issuing a challenge to this church the Lord said he is ready to make a serious shift and move but you have to be ready to accept the challenge and do what is necessary to move with him passivity or being laid-back passive a spirit of indifference will cause God to pass by you acts 2:38 is not God's calling card God's calling card is blessed today which hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled God is called by your passion he's called by your hunger he's called by your intensity if you don't have much passion intensity and hunger towards God you'll never have much of God God is only obligated to fill you up in accordance to your appetite you don't want much of him you won't receive much of him but if you're desperate for him as the heart psalm 42 verse 1 as the heart pans after the water Brooks so panteth my soul after the O God my soul thirsts for God my soul thirsts for the Living God anybody thirsts for God and that's what the Lord is looking for in this house you surely do want to thank God for pastor and first lady and Julian which you put your hands together for them tonight the Bible says give honor to whom honor is due thank God for the both of them for their family appreciate their family as well amen and we so enjoyed the sweet fellowship the last time we were here and we've been enjoying fellowship over the phone as the Lord has allowed and it's been wonderful we thank God for that I have to thank God for further McManus a man who helped to hook me up with Pastor and we thank God for brother and sister McManus thank God for both of you a man appreciate you appreciate the hunger amen brother McManus comes from good stock his father a man of great faith a man and it's good to see him walking in the same way and knowing God can you say man let's go to the Book of Proverbs chapter 3 we're going to begin in verses 21 proverbs chapter 3 verse 21 we're in the King James Version of the Bible proverbs chapter 3 verse 21 we're gonna read 21 and verse 22 and I remember what the book of Proverbs is the book of Proverbs is a king it's a manual that is written by a king to teach his son who was a prince on how to rule therefore he warns him on various things and he addresses various issues he addresses the fool he dresses being simple he dresses being wise and so he deals with various subjects in order to help his son learn how to effectively rule in this life so let's read verse 21 out loud together my son let them not depart from non eyes keep sound wisdom see he's writing to a son he's telling him what to do now listen to the next verse he says enough you keep this sound wisdom listen to this let's read together so shall they be life unto thy soul and now grace to your neck speaks of an ornament or of a necklace he said if you'll listen to me you will end up wearing a necklace I know I just stepped like a porkchop stepped into a Jewish wedding but there are things that God needs for you to understand that he wants you to develop up into can you say amen to that before your seating would you go around and greet a few people tonight tell them I'm so happy you're in the house of the Lord come on hug somebody's neck smile at somebody you might be the only warmth they felt all week what a privilege sir god bless so glad your girl thank like the Lord to do it sir bless you excellent that's very good it's good for us to fellowship in the presence of the Lord you may be seated thank you now we're going to the Book of Proverbs chapter 4 and we're going to deal with verse 9 so here in proverbs 3 he told us that wisdom will place a necklace on you now in case you're not understanding this is internal jewelry that is eternal that's what I'm going to show you another verse because out of the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be established amen and there's a challenge that God has given to this church before we read the scripture you can leave it there but let me let me explain some of this challenge and there are levels in God and there are dimensions in God and lap times we get all excited I'm going to another level well that that's wonderful but a level is not a dimension a level is like a great level like going from ninth grade to 10th grade that's what that's a great level so you're going up one level a dimension is like going from high school to university within dimensions there are great levels of glory as you complete the great level the great levels of glory within that dimension you graduate and go to the next dimension and start at a new great level of glory within that dimension and just like they would say to you in high school or in university your freshman now you you were a senior in the last dimension but in this new dimension you become a freshman you do the ends of all the ins and the outs of the last dimension but of this dimension you must be trained by God afresh and one of the reasons why God does this is because your power parallels your dependence and what happens to us is sameness becomes security and when I know what I'm doing I stop many times relying on God and start relying on the knowledge of what I know to do so now it's time for God to take me to the next dimension somebody say Lord I want to go to the next dimension I don't want to just go to the next grade level I want to go to the next dimension there's a major shift to your God's not trying to take you to the day he's not trying to take this church to the next level there are times when God is doing that he's trying to literally take you to the next dimension now those of you that have gone from high school to university you know that difficulty when you graduate high school you have mixed feelings that's why you see people on the stage crying and laughing you like you okay I mean I don't know what to do comfort you rejoice with you like where are you you know I'm trying to feel like you're not cuckoo for cocoa puffs I mean like we're you know because you have this mixed emotions you're crying because you know there's certain people you will never see again and you're laughing because of the anticipation of what is you have to come and that's what when you go to the next dimension there's some people who cannot go with you there's certain friendships that must change certain relationships that cannot continue somebody say I'm ready for the next dimension alright so let's look some more at this next dimension let's go into we're leading we're now dealing with verse nine so you understand what this is let's back up if you will sound people to verse seven so we can understand what we're talking about we'll read seven into nine so we can gain proper understanding thank you some people so much for your help wisdom is the principal thing now if you notice what put a necklace on us was wisdom to begin with in proverbs three now he's back again in proverbs 4 telling us that wisdom is the principal thing therefore get wisdom with all that getting yet get an understanding now sometimes the understanding you have to get is that you're not going to get an understanding oh maybe you haven't talked to God long enough or sometimes God you seek God for understanding goes that's very good I'm not telling you ok well really feeling the love here people really feeling the love okay so verse eight listen to what he says he said exalt her her as referring to the wisdom and she shall promote the wisdom will promote you she shall bring the honor when now does embrace her why because wisdom is the proper application of knowledge it's the proper use of knowledge that's why you for some people are very knowledgeable in the word but you're not doing wise that's why you offend people now you told them the word but you cut them and you hurt them and you offend and you don't know how to properly interact because you lack wisdom wisdom is God's methods knowledge is the message wisdom is the method knowledge is his will wisdom is his way you to get the full counsel of God you must have his will and his way you must have his message and his method we need the full counsel of God can you say man that's why a lot of your hurting you have the message about the doctrine you just don't have the method of love on how to deliver the doctrine you feel that because you're right this gives you the authority to send folk to hell who don't believe like you believe I don't know where you've got that authority from because only one has that authority God's intention is not for you to take acts 2:38 and turn it into a couple of Acts and 2:38 Pistols acts will you cut everybody up chop them up and 38 will you shoot them up you said well brother do you believe in actor theater yes I do but look just hold here a moment we'll come back to this go to Ephesians chapter 4 so you can see this Ephesians chapter 4 verse 15 okay look so you can see this Ephesians 4:15 okay you got to see this now you have to have truth yes but truth must come a particular way you know what happens to a lot of you well I told the truth yes you did but in the process of telling the truth you didn't do it the way the tell you didn't get the method correct you got the message correct you got the method wrong speaking the truth oh it's not enough to speak the truth it has to be spoken in love that's the method to deliver the message of truth otherwise you will hurt people and kill them truth kills the letter kills the letters truth but the Spirit gives life because the Spirit brings the love to the letter truth is all have sinned and come short of the glory of God but love tells us that he forgave you [Music] someone tell God thank you let's go back now to proverbs chapter 4 we would just finish at verse 8 let's go back we'll go back to verse 8 proverbs chapter 4 we'll start at verse 8 again so we can lead into 9 exalt her exalt wisdom she shall promote thee and others exalt God's method can I tell you why most of us or many of us have start struggling with God you don't know his methods you were not familiar with his ways you're not understanding that your God moves by seasons that's why some of you don't understand why God doesn't do something you're so excited you brought someone to church they're your family member you want them fill with the Holy Ghost so bad and God doesn't even touch them and you're so disappointed and you're so brokenhearted you don't understand why God wouldn't do that it's because you don't understand his ways you just know his will it's his will that all should be saved but you don't know his method and so because you only know his will you're disappointed but he also knows when they're ready he also knows if I saved them now they won't stay now so he knows how to wait and he knows how to let the proper season come you don't plant seeds in February and expect to harvest it's the wrong season you can have the right seed you can have all the right tools and you can have the best technique in town but you're not growing one thing and that's why that if you are struggling with God you're doing the right thing in the wrong season teach me okay let me let me let me go to another scripture here a moment I'm coming I'm coming I'm just taking the scenic route but I'm coming go to first chronicles chapter 12 verse 32 first chronicles chapter 12 verse 32 see this is what we need we need people that have this understanding of Issachar verse chronicles 12:32 but men have is a car they were in men that understanding of the times I'm in first chronicles chapter 12 verse 32 they were men that had understanding of the times see we need people that understand the times what do you mean you need to understand that time and purpose are married together to everything there is a season see things go it's season and time goes with purpose so we have to become people who understand the times now watch this watches and we say understand the times we're not talking about turning into doomsday prophets everybody's gonna die we're all going to hell in a handbag it's all over you know we're not talking about being do what you understand the times do you understand not only what God is saying you understand that the method which God wants to bring it to pass so he said you have underneat understanding of the times listen to this they knew what Israel ought to do see the method therefore all their brethren were under their commandment when you don't understand the times you don't know what to do and you sho'nuff can't help nobody else Lord teach me to understand the times lord teach me to understand the method Lord teach me to help other people say man alright let's come back to proverbs chapter 4 let's get into this a little bit deeper I'm dealing with be my ornament but you have to see this because what's happened to us is we have gotten so locked into rules of standards that we'd not even understand unfortunately why God has done some of the things he's done how he knows it's rule rules without relationship result in rebellion so you know what happens to us we find legal loopholes we don't cut our hair we burn it off ok nevermind so um proverbs 4 and 8 um listen to me says exalt her and she shall promote thee she shall bring the honor well now embraces her verse 9 alright verse 9 watch this watch this watch what wisdom will do once you when she exhausts you verse 9 she shall give to thy head of what ornament of grace an ornament an ornament that that's a crown she shall give a crown of glory she shall she shall deliver to thee so in other words wisdom will give you jewelry that's internal that's eternal alright maybe you ain't understanding let me make it plainer God's not marrying your body he's marrying your spirit and your spirit has got to be dressed like a bride and God wants to adorn your spirit which internal jewelry that makes you reflect his glory Oh magnify come on those in school you remember the magnifying glass does washes washes washes a magnifying glass does not make the object itself bigger so it doesn't make the ant bigger it makes your perception of the ant bigger so when you magnify God you don't make God bigger because you can't make him bigger your God's already larger than the universe I said in him you live you move you have your being so you can't make him bigger would you magnify him you get a larger perspective of him and you have others to see him in a larger way Oh magnify the Lord with me hey some of you remember that some of the things you can do with a magnifying glass is not something enlarge something if you tilt it just right till you see a blue light no don't don't nobody you know go right now try and do this already but you will set something on fire the paper the grass you will set it on fire see when you magnify him you set others on fire you set your soul on fire the larger you see him the more on fire you are oh you know what that's really saying when you can sit there so passively looking like you in a rocking chair you don't have a big view of him because when you see who he really is you have no choice angels bow before him heaven and earth adore him what a mighty you have no choice but to open up your mouth you have no choice but to glorify Him you have no choice but to be compassionate about him [Applause] touch somebody beside you tell them how big is your view of God what size of God do you have you say well I believe God's really big right if you believe me so big then why do you become so fearful when you get an electric bill that you can't pay when they're talking about firing you on your job why are you so fearful if he's so big o magnify o magnify oh Mack I need you to help me to enlarge my concept of you alright so wisdom will put on me jewelry I need to back up because you need to know where wisdom is coming from wisdom has an origin proverbs chapter 9 in fact before I go to wisdoms origin because remember wisdom comes from knowledge you can have knowledge and not have wisdom you can't have wisdom and not have knowledge because wisdom is the proper use of knowledge so wisdom must have knowledge to exist knowledge does not have to have wisdom that's why you have some educated fools hmm they can break down the theories of the universe and can't boil water and when shout wisdom you get our wisdom okay so let me let me deal with the knowledge first let's go to proverbs chapter 1 verse 7 proverbs chapter 1 verse 7 we deal with the knowledge first God wants to put internal jewelry on you he wants to adorn you he wants to get you ready to be a bride say Amen alright now when God warns you we should sing a song if you're happy and you know it yeah notify your face so anyway if you can't tell God you're happy and you look like you've been baptized and lemon-juice can tell you happy and you look like you're lower than a pregnant aunt it you you have to okay you see what happens a lot of God's people you say you're saved and you're happy and we look at you and my god if that's happiness you can keep it cuz you look like you and paint like so I stepped on your toe and you've been chewing on briars hallelujah and you trying to sell that to me no that's why some folk don't want your salvation because they in enough pain why they want your pain say man now now having joy doesn't mean you don't have problems it just means that you recognize that Jesus is over your problems and that's what gives you joy right Jay Oh y-you know the acronym Jesus over you so we recognize when Jesus is over me he's over all my problems and that's why I have joy because the problems do not cause me to submit so I am NOT a thermometer I'm a thermostat a thermometer changes you know with their climate a thermostat regulates their climate the Bible says in proverbs 15 and 1 proverbs chapter 15 verse 1 a soft answer turneth away wrath so when things get hot some of these a thermostat knows how to turn on the prayer conditioning amen you know how to control your environment not be controlled by the environment someone said Lord teach me we are to me people who have the Holy Ghost but the Holy Ghost doesn't have you Holy Ghost doesn't have your mouth some of you you set your Holy Ghost on the corner when you go to drive you say I'll pick you up when I'm done you go to talking to everybody like they hear you move over I'll give you three guesses what color that green light is you know like they listen to you like they're hearing it hmm so you many of you you don't you lose your holy ghost when you drive see gives his lifestyle God's trying to teach us how to remain under his control no matter what the circumstances sona say lord teach me man he's not trying to condemn you he's trying to train you he's not trying to embarrass you he's trying to train you he's not trying to make you feel guilty and ashamed he's trying to train you say man someone tell the Lord thank you alright thank you for that father thank you for training me thank you for giving me understanding thank you for showing me all right now let's look at this let's go to Romans chapter 9 verse 23 Romans chapter 9 verse 23 um so when God puts you have to understand something there's a difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament in the arena of glory in the Old Testament God states my glory I will not share in me with another alright watch what happens when we get to the New Testament I want you to hear this and that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of Mercy that supposed to be us which he had afore prepared unto glory you were prepared to know God's glory you were prepared to have glory because when you take on these ornaments you begin to reflect the glory of God alright like I said now let me let me get to knowledge let me get to knowledge proverbs chapter 1 proverbs chapter 1 verse 7 let me get to that proverbs chapter 1 verse 7 I just had to show you this about glory first because remember there are levels of glories and there's a dimension of glory so we'll get deeper into that in just a moment but let's look at proverbs chapter 1 verse 7 remember wisdom comes from knowledge so we have to start with the over gen the fear of the lord is the what the beginning of what yeah so you want to have internal jewelry God says your jewelry depends on how much you fear me now that fear is not referring to terror it's not referring to God's gonna get me it's referring to I love you so much I don't want to offend you see if you fear God when you fear God nobody's gonna tell you to praise him when you fear God your friends can sit beside you act like they're bored want to tease you afterwards for praising them and you're like I'll praise him in your face because last time I checked you didn't wake me up this morning you don't keep demons off of me you're not the sustain of my sanity you can't heal my body you can't forgive me so excuse me while I praise Him hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah clap your hands all ye people and shout unto God with the voice of triumph so now if you of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge now let's go to proverbs chapter 9 verse 10 proverbs chapter 9 verse 10 you need to see this because it is the wisdom that puts this internal internal jewelry on you it cuts a crown on you it puts a necklace on you but this wisdom comes from knowledge knowledge comes from the fear of the Lord but you also need to see what the scripture says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of yeah so all of this is coming from the fear of the Lord to be very easy just to do teaching just on the fear of the Lord but I just want you to see the root of this because when you fear God you won't fear people you don't fear your friends you love them you respect them but you are not going to intimidate me from not praising him you want to keep your hands in your pocket and act like you don't know who woke you up you want to do that that's on you good luck with that wouldn't want to be you see you don't want to be you wouldn't want to be you when you got to meet with him you want to pass notes to me and talk to me while I'm trying to pray to him listen baby this is an A and B conversation this is a january/february conversation March you're way out of it because there's only one Savior here and when all those over set him down and I'd leave here and I don't connect with him but I connected with you my soul is in jeopardy somebody lift your hands and just love on him just a moment we are prepared for his glory now let's go to the second Corinthians chapter 3 verse 18 2nd Corinthians chapter 3 verse 18 so God wants to decorate you internally with jewelry that comes from the fear of the Lord that comes from wisdom so that what may happen is you may be able to magnifying the glory that he's placed upon you the Greek word glory doxa deals with light beers with the manifestation of his power deals with his works so if you notice like diamonds reflect light beautifully in fact one of the way to to determine the beauty of the diamond is by how much light it can properly reflect if the diamond is flawed it does not reflect light properly hold on before I go to this hotel I'll be back up here a moment let me go to Malachi chapter 3 a start of verse 16 I want you to see something Malachi chapter 3 verse 16 mm-hmm Malachi chapter 3 verse 16 are we sixteen and seventeen remember what the Lord said to you the challenge is this be my ornament so they have that fear of the Lord speak often one to another and the Lord hearkened and heard it and did you see this did you know there's a separate book of remembrance written just about those that fear the Lord and call on his name I wonder if you're in it that that's the question I asked myself I want to make sure I'm in this book see you just want to be in the book of life that's good make sure you in this one - amen there's a book of remembrance was written before him for them that filled the Lord and those have thought upon his name now listen to this for 17 verse 17 and they shall be what they shall be mine save the Lord in the day in which I come which the day in which I make up my oh you're his jewels you're supposed to decorate him you're supposed to be the jewelry that he puts on but you can only he can only put I wonder I wonder do you look like the real thing or do you look like some costume jewelry you know one folk where some wears some stuff and it just looks fakin but you got that out of bubblegum machine and you sport it like you know you Elizabeth Taylor with some five million dollar necklace and you up here sporting it in it you're like can I help you by taking that off of you III I wonder if the Lord feels that way about you see when you can sit and not open up your mouth and praise you aren't releasing glory because when you open up your mouth begin to praise Him you magnify him you reflect his glory to others others began to see him working on you have you ever seen that have you ever seen someone praise God worship so till it made you jealous til you like touch me like that see I thank God I grew up on the old-time Church I thank God for those those mothers and fathers of Zion and sometimes those old mothers they couldn't even move you'd have to help him the church but when the spirits start moving they just all they could do is just pump their arm but you could feel the presence of God hellebore Abajo Chiquita la bah bahah satella Baha Rajat a they magnified him they when I have the fear of the Lord I have the wisdom of God and the knowledge of God and I then become the jewelry I wear that jewelry and then I become his jewelry that he decorates himself with don't you understand you used to be a trophy of disgrace now you're a trophy of grace you used to be sported on the chest of the devil as a prize in a trophy of what he conquered but now that God has saved you now you're on God's chest and now he's sporting you around whoo shine baby shine you know when somebody's wearing a real nice watch or something it really draws attention to them that's the way you're supposed to be you're supposed to draw attention to him not to yourself but to him how can you draw attention to him when you won't even open up your mouth and praise Him how do you draw attention to him when you can sit in his presence and your lips have been sold together as if they were by needle and thread how do you draw attention to him when you're more consumed about your problem and you're more concerned about how your feelings are and what your moods are then you are about glorifying him let me tell you when you really magnify him is what you can look on the face of the devil and you can say to the devil you've been giving me hell all week long and yes I've cried and yes I've gotten tired and yes I've gotten weary but I will bless the Lord at all times and his praise shall continually be in my mouth I will open up my mouth and I will glorify him right in the midst of the fire you be my ornament will you be that fine cut piece of jewelry do you understand that to have a fine cut piece of diamond did you hear it you didn't hear you missed it a fine cut piece of diamond I said cut you say how come I keep being wounded because I'm trying to get you cut just right so you can be that diamond that reflects my glory if that diamond had feelings if that diamond could express pain when they take that chisel may take that hammer and they tap away at that thing and they do it right along the lines when God really wants to tap away at you he goes right down into your DNA he goes right down into the lines of your character and starts tapping away things that no longer belong there so that you can properly reflect his glory and give him light may I tell you why some of you are struggling you don't want to change you want church as usual you want life as usual but when you get ready for the next dimension I'm sorry high schools nothing like university try to find lockers in university good luck with that find a homeroom homeroom teacher oh yeah you've got books yeah you got classes you just went from a class of 35 to 250 this is a whole new world massive changes and when God's ready to take you to another dimension this is a brand new way of doing things it's a brand you want some stuff you've never had you have to do some stuff you've never done you want a new dimension of an education you have to do some stuff you've never done to get it hey high school education is free books are free University one book one let's say it together one we ain't talking oneness here one book one hundred fifty dollars or more you might use six chapters out of it maybe then you're supposed to sell it back to the bookstore for a quarter of the price you paid so they can sell it back again and get more money off of it you have to sit there and listen to monotone professors and put you to sleep and you got to push beyond it to pass the grade you have to learn to push beyond sleep push beyond boredom you can't go by what entertains you that's why something you are struggling you only worship if it's your favorite song and until they sing your favorite song you're holding out can I bring it to you another way so unless we say this we ask the person well did you enjoy the service today not to be honest that's really not a correct question you know why the service was never for you it was for the real question is did he enjoy it because if you show up honey and I show up nothing's gonna happen but if he shows up does he enjoy your praise did he enjoy your worship did he enjoy your attitude while in service did you radiate him out this is not just something in church because you are the church this is lifestyle God wants to know when the tire goes flat on your car does that mean your praise goes flat when your engine doesn't start does that mean your joy doesn't start is the Holy Ghost greater than your Ford F R D fix or repair daily it is it greater than that is it greater than your Chevy on a quiet night you can hear Chevy rust is it is it greater than these things are you able to praise me when you don't understand me when you watch me blessing other people you pray for other folk and they get blessed and it seems like I'm walking around you and blessing everybody else around you but can you still lift your hands to me and say though you slay me yet will I trust in you will you give me glory will you be my ornament but I can weigh her because you're a jewel because you've been putting on internal jewelry I need to show you what I mean just in practical application go to st. John chapter 11 st.
