god is ordained by god to be a house of prayer mark 11 and 17 the bible said my house shall be a house of prayer in the same vein we are also made to understand that every child of god is ordained as a temple of the holy spirit in the book of first corinthians 6 and verse 19 we are made to see that and if we are temples of the holy spirit then it means that every child of god is ordained to be a prayer house so you as a believer are ordained by god to be a prayer house that simply means that your function among other things is to offer prayers unto god it is a vital function of the life of the redeemed but we discovered that praying kingdom advancement prayer is the god-set priority for our prayer life in the book of matthew chapter 6 verse 9 and verse 10 the bible tells us when jesus taught us to pray he said when you pray pray after this manner our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name it says what next in verse 10 thy kingdom come so the priority on the altar of prayer is the kingdom of god that is why kingdom advancement prayer can be said to be every believer's responsibility no matter your vocation no matter your trade no matter the area of endeavor you find yourself prayer is every believer's duty and it means that kingdom advancement prayer must be every believer's priority here we are at the beginning of this adventure 21 days praying and fasting waiting upon the lord what is god expecting of us among other things he's expecting of us to make a priority of the advancement of the kingdom because the kingdom of god is his set priority on the altar of prayer we take a cue from the example of abraham in scriptures abraham was a business emperor but also was a notable servant of god and a tireless intercession yes he had his business in devos but as a servant of god he understood the necessity of standing in intercession the bible tells us in the book of psalms 105 and verse 42 god speaking concerning abraham he called him my servant so abraham was identified not as a title but by god as he servant even though he was a man in the business world he did not allow his natural engagement disconnect him from his spiritual duty and one of the exhibitions of this spiritual duty was abraham's engagement in intercession in the book of genesis chapter 18. verse 20 down to verse 33 we see how abraham stood in the gap for sodom and gomorrah engaging with god for the rescue of that nation he was a tireless intercessor sin to how the nation could be rescued from the judgment that was impending that was abraham depicted for you and for me and it was set for you and i as an example the bible tells us in the book of isaiah chapter 51 beginning from verse one it says he that follow after righteousness he said and you that seek the lord look to the rock from where you are healed and to the whole of the pit from where you are digged look unto abraham your father and unto sarah that beardy so god put abraham there as an example for you and for me you may be in a career line in a business line but god is saying that he expects you to be on the service line and in serving him he expects you to do so among others on the altar of prayer the outcome of the life of abraham in genesis chapter 24 verse 1 the bible says that abraham was old and well stricken in age and the lord had blessed him in everything he was a man that served his way into all-round blessing and among other things he did so on the author of prayer for somebody here by the time you are imagined from these 21 days of prayer and fasting god would have day or shall a nation be born at once for as soon as zion travailed she brought forth her children so the ultimate prayer is the altar of spiritual travail where we see to the growth and the advancement of the church we have an example in acts chapter 6 and verse 4 the bible says the apostles said we give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the world and as a result of that in verse 7 the word of god increased and the number of disciples multiplied greatly in jerusalem so god makes it very clever to us that the altar of prayer is the labor room through which the church experiences supernatural growth and as you are not engaged on the altar of prayer we shall see supernatural growth on every side in the name of the lord jesus christ take note that there is no commandment of god that is to the benefit of god if god tells you to pray to advance the kingdom and to see the church grow is because he has something unique for you and for me in daniel 12 verse 3 and we conclude with this it says there there that are wise will shine as the brightness of the famine and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever so turning many to righteousness whether it's on the altar of prayer or even on the harvest field makes a star out of any believer that means that as you engage in this season the star in you will rise supernaturally
