Dollarama Trip & Warehouse Organization

[Music] hey guys because the vlog was so long i split it into two parts this is part two i posted the last one on friday so this is the rest of what i did last week oh a different angle you don't typically see no yachting we didn't do laundry last week and so i have laundry on the go right now and there's so much of it starting it has gotten me in the cleaning mood i mean all my shop supplies that i've left up here i intended to take them down anyway but like this room's also a mess i need to clean the floors still because i technically should have done that over the weekend so yeah just gonna catch up on some cleaning i'm gonna get some envelopes into the printer some of these smaller ones i have two different envelope types here i think these are the older ones and then i have some that are newer they're slightly less white and they have a different flap but they're the same size carol just print a test sheet moment of truth in the meantime i'm going to start dividing some of these into stacks of 15. okay it looks all right that's the sleeve so yep you can carry forth i think i got a little carried away counting out the packs of 15. see the thing is is i'm i might change my mind on the design over time that's the beauty of printing them myself is i can change it up on a whim so i'm scared to do too many i've got a bunch laid out here a couple of them are double stacked and then i had more and i'm like wait a minute i'm going way too far with this so i put some green paper between the sets so that they're they can stay counted i don't want to just put them in a pile back in here so those will be here whenever i need them but i think what i have laid out is probably enough for these i might want more i don't know the actual count of how many i have but i also have no idea how many orders i might get in midnight has notified me that this has been sitting here too long and she has begun shredding it we've got the tissue paper the thank you cards the vinyl prints and half of the washi so that all needs to go downstairs i have no idea where the tissue paper is going to go though i also need to cut that that needs to be on my to-do list i keep thinking of new things to do oh my god but it needs to be trimmed down to size this doesn't feel like that much tissue paper two reams of 480 sheets so i've just under a thousand but they'll get cut in half possibly into thirds i do have different box sizes so yeah where am i gonna put this tissue i almost need like a little bar under the desk where the tissue can hang and i can grab a sheet i have such limited space in my packing area you want everything within arm's reach to pack efficiently but there's only room for so much stuff so i started unloading stuff into plastic bins i bought a bunch of storage there are some missing because they're upstairs right now like the ones with the envelopes they're usually sitting right there and i have one here with thank you cards but this is gonna be way too small for all of those so i'm trying to unload stuff out of their brown little boxes do i open up enough just to fill this bin do i do a bigger bin i'm kind of out of bins okay let's just see how far we get i think i'm just gonna recycle the old ones because they're the old branding i could technically use them up but [Applause] yeah [Music] there's not there's really not that many of them left so i'll just recycle oh god okay i'm trying to remember how this works did they fit side by side the container sort of curves inwards in the middle which sucks it's not just a regular rectangle oh my god you know what's super exciting i think the construction is finally done the construction across the street at least for the most part because usually the streets closed every day but the street has been open for a few days in a row and this might mean we can put our garbage and recycling in front of our house again finally plus it makes deliveries way more convenient plus not that noise all the time but hallelujah oh my god it's been so long like even when the construction was just a pit in the ground it was a pit for a year and a half maybe even two years it was such a long process because the parkade goes pretty deep and then they finally got above ground and there's two buildings two high-rises being built there while they are now built and they moved away the outhouses that were in front of our house so all signs point to them being done now the entrance to the underground parkade is right in front of our house so there's probably a lot more traffic than usual but it shouldn't be too bad we're not even you know we're not even going to be living here that much longer we've renewed this place until end of july so we want to be out by then but at least our final months here will be more peaceful look at that i realized that these could have all gone in the same direction here i had some this was some this way but whatever i could even fit a little stack right on top i should get more of these i actually love these even though the curved bit is not very good but i got these at dollarama i would have gotten more if they had more with the white handles and stuff because they had red blue green but i just didn't like those colors i mean i could go to dollarama right now there's nothing stopping me so my car won't start it kind of sounds like it's gonna start but then the engine doesn't start but the lights come on the entertainment system comes on but there's a low battery warning on the screen so i've been like googling what to do calling around i just i haven't been able to talk to an actual person but it's like oh to make an appointment just leave your info and i'm like okay i left a message and now i'm just gonna wait that's with bcaa by the way because yeah they have a battery service thing where they'll come and just replace your battery for you but it's like oh get a battery quote and i input all my info i had to figure out what kind of engine i have cause i had no idea and it's like oh looks like we need more information just call the bcaa location so the number associated with the location is their generic number where i couldn't get through to a person but whatever i left my info hopefully they call me back oh no i probably haven't been driving my car enough lately to be honest i should have opened my shop sooner but yeah hopefully this gets figured out quickly because i need my car for driving packages once the shop opens so yeah i mean i can still go to dollarama i can walk i just didn't know how much stuff i was gonna end up with so i wanted to drive but i guess i'll just walk over there and try to not buy too much stuff i got a call back pretty quickly but they just told me i called the wrong place even though that's the number it gave me online so i have the correct number now i'm just on hold so they don't carry batteries for my car it's a volkswagen golf it's a pretty common car but bcaa won't come so i just called this place it's called mobile battery serviced where you are they'll come change it um yeah they said they'll be here within either 30 minutes or an hour and a half somewhere in that range i guess i wait now i guess i'm not gonna go to dollarama so the battery people came they changed my battery it's running out i mean assuming a 2015 model is made in 2014 or was sold in 2014 then the battery would be eight years old i got the car in 2016 so i've had it for six years so it's probably due for a new battery anyway but yeah my lack of driving recently that's probably what killed it i even have the parking mode turned off for my um my dash cam because i don't want it to drain the battery that's always been a fear of mine so i don't think it was that duh yeah okay i mean i still want to go to dollarama it's like three o'clock now i'm gonna go i'm just paranoid they're not gonna sell those containers anymore so i need to go sooner rather than later oh i should take these pants off it was cold out there so i put on a second pair of pants because these gray ones are so thin oh no people you guys they do not have the same containers [Music] even these plain ones are way bigger maybe they're somewhere somewhere else those are big too some of this stuff is cute but i want lids to keep dust and hair out i had to go back for shopping carts i think i'm gonna have too much stuff i grabbed a couple of these because i have a similar container at home and i love it i think i'll get a couple of these man i just wanted more of those small ones that i was putting the business cards in because they fit so nicely next to my long containers like the two sizes just fit perfectly side by side on my shelf but you know we'll make it lego [Music] you guys i've had the idea of hand towels as something to put in my store for a long time now and these are just like oh my god oh okay i have two of these because one can actually be a kitchen towel the rest are like props basically good backdrops for merch photos or just general photos of my art like the gingham options oh my god 250 each yup yup the bunny one i'm not as crazy about overall even though it is a bun i love buns i just think the other ones are cuter but i want the pink gingham i need that so and a few other things i'll do a haul when i leave oh my god these make me so happy they're so shiny it's bringing me back to my childhood i kind of want them but where am i gonna put them i could have one page in my sketchbook that's just stickers you know i was making that sticker book technically although i don't know if i want to go forward with that idea or not or i could get proper like sticker paper to continue but you know i started that metal sketchbook i had i just love this i can't stop looking at them new trash can for the warehouse new cottage core trashcan really good the easter bunny must have been here warehouse makeover [Music] so cute [Music] that's a big bag yeah i would not want to walk home with this guy haul time so these are not the containers i was after these are bigger they're a little more similar in size to the larger of the two sizes i currently have on the shelf but way deeper so this is the biggest size of all i got four and they've got the snappy these are the lids two of the not deep but big container i don't know if both of these are gonna go in the warehouse or if one will be used to store like paper and artwork stuff because it's the perfect size to fit a piece of printer paper i mean it could probably fit a 9x12 honestly then there's that this thanks huge i got four of this size these are just too good i don't know i don't know you know this would actually be good to like reach out to some sticker manufacturers and be like can you do this i know for a fact sticker beaver does not it might have to be an overseas manufacturer but that's so cute i feel like the camera is not doing it justice then i got these little envelopes colorful sleeves it says and i was like bailey if you want to buy them you have to think of something you can use them for oh wait there's two of each wait ah i thought there was only three total there are five but there's only one pink it does say five it really does say five really hard to miss actually so anyway i couldn't think of anything to use them for put them back on the shelf and then i kept staring at them and i was like i'm like they're 1.25 come on i could put receipts or something in them although i have a filing cabinet so i don't really need these unless i do just want one first for actual printed receipts like today's and then they go in the filing cabinet so yeah i don't know i just then for the warehouse this to organize my pens and scissors because everything's just laying around always getting lost and so i need a proper pen holder for the warehouse so i thought this would look good with the maple desktop down there and also to go with that i got a shorter one this is advertised as being for makeup like lipsticks and stuff but i just think it'll be good for smaller items so these two can kind of go hand in hand the candle i have to get the lavender candle it's just too cute like come on i'm running out of places to put stuff like this because i always want everything in the art room and i'm like you don't have room there but it's just so cute and then i got these because i was i saw some planters and i thought it'd be nice to get something for that succulent that's in the floral arrangement christian got me because i want to plant it this is kind of tall it's three in one but it still seems kind of tall it'll work okay i got more batteries because today's theme is batteries but also i used my last battery for my car fob today i never had any low battery warning on the fob but when the car wouldn't start it flashed me actually all kinds of warnings i don't know how many of them were true like one error was telling me to make sure the car's in park and to get it serviced but it would flash for one second and then there was a low battery warning which turned out to be true and then it also said replace the fob batteries i just replaced them last summer because i remember specifically i had my workstation downstairs for the summer because it was hot and that was when i replaced the batteries so i feel like that's kind of too early for them to die already but i mean they are just dollar store batteries so maybe maybe that makes sense so yeah i got some more because my second fob is going to need a battery too and then my towels oh my god i'm so happy about these this is totally the type of towel i would get made like look at this it's got some embroidery on it it's got a floral pattern it's got gingham and again this is the perfect thing to go to a manufacturer and be like i want it like this like let's say i wanted a little edge like this it's easy to describe it if you can show them what you want so yeah i love this design the bunny not as good but still cute and then this one oh they're so cute just like i can't get over the cuteness i can't get over it okay gingham and embroidery like come on and the last thing was that garbage pail does this look too gardeny i mean cottage court and garden core go hand in hand and honestly my warehouse isn't anything core it's messy want to check out the bag it's so big excellent excellent my trap is working [Applause] you can't get out of this one it's too tall oh my god now before i go downstairs to put all this stuff in its place i'm first gonna stay up here where it's comfy to do label removal ish i know these types of containers are not the most aesthetically pleasing but it's nice being able to see what's in them and they've got lids a lot of cute containers don't have lids i mean that's basically it i want the lid and it is nice being able to see what's in it and technically they could be decorated with something like contact paper although i like them like this it certainly looks a lot better than brown cardboard boxes using the bone folder to save my fingernails this one didn't come off as nicely there we go i'm getting hungry too and i can smell the burritos christian had earlier i might have to do the same oh yeah that's right enjoy the box while you can me noosh baby the corners folded over in the corner of the box is a wee bit shredded care to explain that midnight [Music] so [Music] midnight left quick grab the tissue paper two outhouses have mysteriously reappeared no i just missed it she was in the box but the little flippy peace was flapping and she pounced at as a boy it no dna in that case she's not she's missing he never found her but no the fact that history was so recent is even more telling because are we to believe as a reasonable person counters are wiped clean dishes are put away floors are swept at least in these rooms i still need to vacuum the rest of the house but i'm gonna fold some laundry first oh it's finally clean in here for the first time in weeks i have to bring that out to the curb i already brought up four bags of cardboard so i have one more to add to it yeah it feels good oh hi [Music] hi gotta find a new spot now that i broke down your box maybe oh and then there were two okay i'm finally back down here tissue paper is right there for now containers right there kiki right there more containers right there washi tape sitting out in the open and the rolls of vinyl are right there christian's doing a book club kind of thing except it's a video game club and tonight's their night to discuss the game they've been playing the game is swot four i'm starting to think this container is not big enough and maybe i should have used a bigger one but i'm gonna try to keep going i'm just realizing that some of these are lighter than others because these printed darker than they were supposed to be but something like this one not as bad it's a little on the dark side but honestly it looks not too bad like where i really noticed it was with the flowers the flowers in the background look so pale compared to those ones so this is closer to what it should have been this one darker it's kind of interesting that there's that discrepancy even within one print job i mean i've actually seen that across other things too but so if you get one and you're like hmm bailey was complaining about them but they don't look that bad some of them don't look all that bad but most of them do i still have all of these so i think i'm gonna run out of space oh my god i just came across a handful of cards that actually look correct the back side's a bit iffy actually but the front side oh yeah the color difference is huge oh my well the front side looks good oh yeah cutie cutie patty so we had the first spin then we had this bin and i ended up needing one of the small bins too so maybe i could have just gone with a big boy honestly i think i would need more than a big boy when i factor in that container i'm just sad because these ones that i already have look they fit perfectly next to each other oh i wanted more of those absolutely tragic no i mean that may fit if i turn those oh yeah except i don't have you know i only have two of these and what's going on top is not more of the same just probably go down here oh man it's too bad there weren't deeper versions of these because those fit very nicely and they come to the edge of the shelf so technically that's better space management than those all this i guess would be turned it was turned that way so you know there's unused space whereas here using all the space oh my god i just realized the back side of the handle is a lie i don't want to turn it sideways that's ugly i want it facing this way wait this way we kind of see the bunny gotta keep all the buttons together now for these i could not bring myself to recycle them i threw them in there initially and dug them back out part way through these are both blank on both sides i could use them for something even if it's just note-taking i can even just treat it like a notepad of sorts i don't know i'll just hmm these are staying in such nice sheets at least that top one is if i had a shelf spot for these i could just put them on the shelf like this i mean wait i do don't break don't break don't break wait this one's shorter than this oh my god like a glove although there are these lonely ones in here oh my god two of these fit perfectly well almost perfectly it's a little snug but they fit oh on this shelf they don't fit sadness it's nicely sideways but then it sticks out a lot [Laughter] okay all the new plastic containers are on the shelves they're not all full but they have a spot there is one that i turned sideways that one up there in the corner but um yeah they're all on there and i'm sure i'll find stuff to put in them like for example future stickers and stuff i can stick in there i think i'm going to play with these next tidy up this room a bit yeah i know it's hilarious oh no more pencils and pens i know more crap down there oh no there's crap under here it's everywhere it's everywhere this back one's so big i'm like what am i gonna put in there i do kind of also have this give me those no they're gonna fall over i don't know what to put in the short one these kind of fit in here although i don't know why these are down here i mean i don't know why half this stuff is down here like do i need all these sharpies down here no this shouldn't be down here anymore do i need a glue stick down here at all times no that could probably go back upstairs now rick he's kind of in the way but i don't know what else to do with him because if he was gonna go beside the desk it would best to be it would be best on the left because that's where all the buttons are you know if i had them here turned i'd have to reach across rick to hit the buttons but that would probably have to be on this side and i don't think this is sturdy enough for rick that is so flimsy plus i got like this whole set up here so i mean rick could technically go right there oh if he's on the table it's a little sturdier we have such a great system it's just that it's in the way this table really isn't big enough in an ideal world i would have a bigger work top anyway i'm trying what i'm trying to say is it's not an ideal situation but like this is temporary but i might at least move rick to give myself more counter space i mean what if i make this higher butt it up against that like an l okay i'm dumb and i forgot i have two more containers upstairs to put on these shelves but it'll work it'll work i just wanted to test out these look at this look oh like a glove like a glove if anything the bottom is tapered just a little too much but i could have a bunch of these in those containers this one's kind of like the test one because it had a defect on it so it's testing different signature colors and stuff but so perfect okay um this is going to give me kind of a small work area first of all now that the legs are higher it's wiggling all over the place i don't know if that's sturdy enough for rick i make sure it's really nudged against this other desk that might give it some stability last time i cleaned this keyboard i popped all the keys off but i'm not doing that this time this manicure is not going to last long at this rate oh bone folders they have so many uses the manicure saver and it's getting further in the crack oh yeah get that grime the gamer gunk i just like saying gamer gunk nasty you know what it's just too nasty i can still see crumbs in the cracks i'm popping the keys off oh my god is there anything the bone folder can't do [Music] that's nasty i mean i do suspect a lot of that is cat hair and flecks of cardboard because my desk gets covered in cardboard dust so i'm sure a lot of that is cardboard dust but it's still disgusting probably a lot of skin flakes so that went under the kitchen sink with a scrubby brush so we'll let that sit for a day or two and i just wipe down every key individually why am i doing this i mean it needed to be done it was gross when you're in the mood to do it you just got to do it otherwise it won't get done for a very long time these are here i had to unplug a lot of cables move stuff around first i had the computer tower in the corner and the table was pushed in a bit more but everything was taking up too much the table so i moved the computer tower down there originally i had snapped this top shelf back onto the shelving unit but i took it off because i wanted that here so that's rick's new spot it doesn't seem too wobbly with the table rick doesn't seem any louder although i swear he's gotten louder over time like even when he was sitting over there i was trying to google stuff about it but i just don't know i feel like i have so much more space up here now i don't know how i feel about these being on this side i usually have them on this side but now that rick's here if i have a camera going you won't see past a rick like you won't see right in this corner and if they're up here when i've got a box on the table the box is gonna block like this see what i mean i guess we'll see whenever i set up a camera i can adjust accordingly the pencil stuff i put right here just because there's not really room up here like they could maybe go in the corner but it's not like i'm constantly grabbing for that stuff so i think it's fine if it sits right there and then everything else is pretty much a huge mess the black shelves i probably will put at the end of this table or they could go back there where the crinkle paper is but i feel like they could go here and it sort of extends the table like having that top bit it'll be a little bit shorter but just a little extra working area and as for those envelopes i was printing i think i just have one stack left to print haven't gone back up in a little while to add them to the printer but that's okay i'm gonna head to bed though fold the last load of laundry before i do go to bed but i will check in tomorrow and it's the next morning i'm gonna finish cleaning up in here try to be a little faster less thorough like not deep clean just put stuff away wipe down surfaces sweep the floor call it a day because i need to get editing this video so i'll just show you the after result the aftermath finals luke here's what it's currently looking like on my keyboard i can probably pop the keys back on right away but i'm not gonna use it for at least another 24 hours just make sure it's completely dry i said i was going to be quick but i keep getting distracted i'm trying to figure out the tissue paper stuff because i'm going to make a spot for it but i can't really put it there yet because it's not trimmed down to size and i was like well how would i do this because if i cut a sheet right in half it gives me this size which is perfect for the shallower boxes except that it's too short like here it would show too much of the product and if i fold the sheet the other way so it's really long it's too long and we'll need a trim but it needs a trim two ways and i just feel like that's gonna be a lot of trimming and i was also playing around with having one sheet this way one this way and that kind of makes up for the fact that these are a little bit short but i feel like that's a bit much so yeah i've just been playing around with this figuring out how i'm doing the tissue i think i might have this figured out because i need a longer length and a shorter length now i probably need more of the shorter length than of the longer length but my current method gets me an equal amount of both actually no it doesn't because if i use it if i'm using two sheets okay anyone this at least works a little bit i cut off a strip off the edge of this just under four inches so that when i fold it in half that's the perfect width for it and i can pull it off and keep it folded in half because i like to double up the tissue since it's pretty thin so that's a good size but it's a bit long but the amount i cut off the end is good for the shorter boxes so if i do my eight inches this distance here is perfect well like once it's unfolded but yeah the only problem is i get twice as many of the long ones as i do with the short ones if i'm grabbing two sheets because like this would be one sheet folded in half for the long ones but there wouldn't be that fold in half for these ones so that's why i would need two sheets for the short ones okay i realize i made a mistake i need to cut off the side strip before i remove the four inches of the bottom otherwise this piece is too short because i need more of the shorter strips i did one where i cut a wider piece because i could technically cut down the middle but why that's an extra cut and i prefer having one piece folded in half anyway instead of grabbing two separate sheets so anyway i get that fold it and then i get a strip of individual ones it's not wide enough for me to do another folded over piece but then these remnants that are left are almost the right size for these it's a little short could maybe go the other way but it's getting a bit scrunched up but yeah i can keep this scrap from my teeny boxes i don't know if i'll need many of those but i got some sheets oh and i have not been using the rotary cutter because the ruler really slips on this i just think it's too dangerous so i've been using scissors plus the cutting that's too short but it was just yeah it was the slipperiness i just could not deal okay you know what i think i'm just accepting that this room is not going to be clean today there's too much still out i'm trying to plan out like where the notepads would go where would this go where would that go and it's just it's too much for today i need to start editing this room looks almost identical to how it looked when i came in here it's like i'm just messing with the tissue paper for so long i do have the garbage cans down there i broke apart these black shelves because i thought it'd be nice to have one under there but i don't know if i'll keep that so now the other piece is just sitting like that i'm starting to rearrange on here and then gave up i i just keep switching tasks but yeah that's it i guess for this
