extreme trends presents their dog starts acting oddly so this family looks outside and then they call 9-1-1 before we begin joseph aver by clicking that like button and subscribe to our channel for more heartwarming stories every day they have long been known as man's best friend they are hard-working loyal and selfless countless stories have been told through the ages about the amazing dogs who have gone above and beyond and their duty to the humans under their charge many dogs are trained to be of service to the humans in their packs they might be Guide Dogs or part of a canine police unit hunting dogs or even sled dogs whatever their training dogs seem to have an innate need to please and a strong desire to protect their pack mates including their humans in fact a now-famous sled dog named Balto was recognized for his extraordinary service in 1925 after he raced from Anchorage to Nome to deliver a desperately needed antitoxin though she may not be as well-known as her long ago husky cousin yet midnight is also somewhat of a hero the four-year-old Labrador Retriever mix followed her owner Tim Curfman outside one night as he brought the trash out she soon began to behave oddly trying to alert Curfman that something was wrong midnight seemed to be on high alert and though Tim had never seen her acting this way it was clear to him that she had spotted something that was truly out of the ordinary Tim Curfman had absolutely no way of predicting at the time what he would discover just moments later by now midnight was acting so frantic that Tim finally allowed her to lead him outside into the freezing weather Tim had no idea that he under Midnight's Direction and watchful eye was about to save a person's life with the entire state of Minnesota caught in the grip of a polar vortex it was only negative 1 degrees Fahrenheit or negative 30 degrees Celsius that night in the same week schools and businesses were forced to close due to the extreme winter weather and there were widespread power outages the US Postal Service stopped deliveries in five states and more than 2,500 flights were canceled nationwide the deep freeze was to blame for more than 20 weather-related deaths at the time tim recalls that he was taking out the trash when he noticed that midnight was staring at him with her ears perked up he knew she had noticed something unusual and was expecting Tim to deal with it following his faithful friend Tim rounded the house and came upon a worrisome seen the Curfman elderly neighbor 87 year old Noreen was lying in the snow she had gone outside to try and fill up her bird feeder but she slipped and fell sustaining some minor injuries Tim is extremely glad that he trusted in Midnight's intuition and followed her that night because of midnight Tim was able to find Noreen who was stuck in the snow Tim and his wife estimated that their neighbor had to have been outside in the cold for at least half an hour Noreen's gloves had gotten wet for using her fingers to the point where she no longer had the strength to push herself up and out of the snow there was also nothing nearby she could have grabbed to pull herself up and out of danger Tim was able to carefully help Noreen up then he brought her to his house where his wife helped the older woman to get warm and they all waited for medical help where it not for Midnight's insistence Tim might have gone back into his house but he trusted his pets intuition Noreen is of course incredibly grateful to midnight who she believes saved her life that night and of course the curtains are very proud of their Labrador not every dog is as observant as midnight the fearless retriever Noreen is certainly happy that midnight came to her rescue Tim Curfman admits sheepishly that the canine hero was then given so many treats as a reward that it was a true shame it's always amazing to see how intuitive dogs can be we're so glad that midnight was able to save Noreen's life thank you for watching this fantastic story please tap one of the two videos on your screen for another amazing extreme trend story
