Does the Nitro Pro Package ACTUALLY SAVE You Money? Specifically Nitro Z20 & Nitro Z21

hey guys welcome or welcome back to the channel i'm james and this is clearwater fishing and today we're talking about the nitro z20 and its pro package can you build the z20 and actually save money versus the pro package the pro package claims to save you 5 300 but does it actually real quick i want to thank you guys for watching and if you haven't already smash that subscribe button and hit this one so make sure you smash that subscribe button so what i've done over here is i have the nitro z20 pro package pulled up standard just the way it comes with and if you don't know what the pro package means well then i have a package accessories that they attach to the boat and they buy these in bulk trying to save me and you some money so they pro package for the most part on the z20s and we're gonna we're gonna talk about that more in depth here in a minute but for the most part it comes with a 36 volt ultrex trolling motor with the mega down imaging that's the 42 inch shaft the bow fish finder is a helix 9 di the console fish finder is a helix 10 si and it comes with two 10-foot minn kota talents there's a few other features that are added with the pro package but those are really the main and the key ones that i want to focus on and actually see if we save us some money so the z20 pro package just straight out of the gate with the 225 horse motor costs fifty two thousand eight hundred dollars just plain and simple you you buy that boat pre-packaged you can add things to it if you like but if you buy it just as their package is fifty and i came over here and i was very careful and i went by what the pro package had on it and added a whole list of items to the z20 and see kind of what the total came back to be well the total ended up being fifty seven thousand and fifty dollars which is uh quite a bit more than the fifty two eight uh in fact it's four thousand two hundred dollars more which was actually kind of surprising to me i didn't actually put every little feature in there i did hit the big hitters and i'll just go over them real quick uh obviously you got the 225 pro xs that that comes standard it says no charge there we have the helix 9 the helix 10 oops oh no that's not a big deal i got an extra installation charge on here it's it's 250 dollars but it's not too big of a deal but we got the helix 9 and a helix 10 we have the gen 4 4 bank 40 amp charger the hot foot throttle the trim lever on the steering wheel that's also part of the pro package and obviously the minn kota 36 bolt trolling motor now oh and the last two things uh we have the retractable tie downs are only 70 bucks and the minn kota talons they are 4 700 so that being said there's actually quite a bit of money saved here and there's a few things that i wasn't able to put on here such as the ethernet networking system between the two fish finders and the trolling motor that's not on here that's not actually even an option on here so you would actually have to pay extra to do that as well i'm sure you can add a networking system to to it but it wasn't just an easy option to select so why am i doing this comparison well i'm actually in the market for a boat here in the near future and i just wanted to kind of see if i could build the z20 pro package even more efficiently than nitro has and well i wasn't successful i really put down the bare bones stuff that i really really thought thought made sense to me to put on this i mean i wanted shallow water anchors i wanted two solid fish finders so the helix 9 and the helix 10 fit that category as well and i definitely wanted the 36 volt trolling motor there with the ultrex and i also wanted all that network together for the one boat network system but it looks like it's going to come up short as far as being able to build it myself it's much better to go out and buy a pre-packaged pro package for the z20 that being said what do you guys think about the nitro z20 let me know in the comments below do you know someone who has the nitro z20 or z21 with the pro package and what are your thoughts on the pro package is it actually worth the money to you or would you rather be able to pick out certain electronics for your boat the way you would like them me personally i actually like the nitro lineup i actually was considering a z19 for quite a long time until i actually sat in the z20 and felt how much larger it felt than the z19 in fact that's like 10 square feet larger on the front deck which if you think about that that's a three by three area i don't know if you guys can see my hands here but it's a pretty large area for a boat to be missing off the front deck so that's why i'm now considering the nitro z20 and definitely the pro package hopefully that happens sometimes this year but i wouldn't hold my breath for it for this year but we'll see what we can do i just want to thank you guys for watching and if you haven't already make sure you smash
