does the laundromat I BOUGHT 6 months ago make money?

hey guys it's Brandon with investment joy and today marks right about the six-month period of me owning this laundromat so I'm gonna go through and do a quarter collection and try and answer a lot of questions you guys have this is my royal generation 3 plus it's a model 804 machine this sells pop we got Mountain Dew dr. pepper root beer and the behind those I have monster coke a Cola diet coke diet coke sprite there it holds 804 cans of soda or pop or coke what's going on you call it depending on where you are I only paid $600 for this machine today's collection is about a four or five day period where we are collecting money there's my stack of ones I own this machine I get a hundred percent of the income from it the only machine I have in here is the quarter pusher and I'll explain that in a bit these are my bills for this and then I have a container down here and it is nice and freakin full quite heavy actually dump them in my bucket and I'm very professional and organized free stuff people have felt compelled to bring in religious magazines but oh well oh and our machines out of money that's great that's something that's happened here very recently like in the past couple hours so that's not supposed to happen I apologize but I can't get the brace out of there I need to get a some sort of system so this is about a five day Porter collection it should be we'll see though I've been known to be rolling this laundromat it's very similar to how I live my life it's kind of dumpy but it makes good money once in a while I hear voices I don't know where they're coming from so it's totally like my life now I will show you a picture this is the machine that gets broken into and I tried to explain it I have no money in this machine whatsoever it's provided by a third-party company and the reason there is like the way that Ohio State law works it's really complicated on these things so if you have somebody else come in man we could get some money pretty easy out of this it's really close to paying out but I've got a company that comes in and they manage it they deal with it and the boy was pushing it and rocking it back and forth so even though it's bolted down here at the top and then it's got multiple bolts in the side he was still rocking it back and forth so now it's braced back here and it's a really good moneymaker but beyond that and it's really the reason I like keeping it around is simply because if somebody's going to break into something it's not going to be my washers and dryers it's going to be the coin pusher which I don't pay for and on top of that the cost to fix that machine is very very low if someone destroys one of these coin bins here because it actually happened on that dryer over there it did $150 worth of damage and it still isn't fixed right it is an absolute disaster to try and get it totally truly fixed that one's almost full so that's cool and today we will also go through and count all of our dimes and nickels we've got probably two or three months worth of them hopefully I don't go over this do you like this kind of content what it's like for a poor kid from Ohio that has been evicted twice to go from being for broke and evicting to only laundromats in a trailer park be sure to like my videos and subscribing and hitting that vacation Bell it helps me with the YouTube algorithm and what happens is it sends my content out to people that would never normally see my stuff and you know I talk about this a lot on like discord and whatnot my true goal for this channel is to get people that are like me that you know didn't think that you could own or start a business I want those people there's hope and that you can start your own business and you can be successful things like that but it takes time and a lot of its boring these videos are the highlights of my days or my weeks I mean there's some stuff that goes unrecorded but for the most part you know these are the highlights and you guys get 30 minutes of content or 45 minutes worth of content a week and those are the highlights and the rest of my life's kind of boring other than this laundromat stuff and the crazy rental stories and whatnot this is a row the snack machine it Vin's snack here and candy and you anymore my candies are my big sellers I just restocked this yesterday and so one of those selections has already sold out here's the bill acceptor we'll put this in here with the pop the soda money so I spent $800 on this machine I bought it off Facebook marketplace my royal generation 3 machine I paid $600 for it pays itself off probably every two to three months well let's say three months so it makes me about a hundred and fifty bucks or more a month it makes money back pretty quick this snack machine here does not make money back as quick but it doesn't it absolutely makes money and I paid $800 for that there's a nicer bigger better machine in the back sitting and I want to stock it up with more substantial type foods as I mentioned in other videos but some of you guys are new to the channel this laundromat oh my it's located right next to compartment a apartment complex with over a hundred rental units in it and the thing with that apartment complex is this word kinda like you know they call a food desert and you have to go to second save this teeny little grocery store for food I'd love to have a little like market grocery store with some fresh foods and things like that in here eventually but I'm doing all this while managing a bunch of real estate and fixing up a trailer park and being stabbed by people of the Robin whatnot which is cutesy term for substance abusers because if you don't make fun of it and laugh it off you're going to be depressed so here's my other two large format washers these are from 1995 and they are beasts in the past six months I've only had two of these go down or not two of these one of these go down it was the one well the most recent when I collected from and they are put compared to the top loads they're a big money saver and they're only four dollars compared to the top loads that are 250 so if you're using top loads it would take you three of those two quantities so it's like getting the 750 cycle and I'm in here regularly and called a liar because I'm sorry trying to help my customers save money but a lot of them don't believe it I've had people in here and they've used every single one of these washers and I told them hey you know you can use the big washer and I'll save you money and they call me a liar my brother does the maintenance on these equipment and he's supposed to have a video out here real soon so look for that on him coming here to the laundromat and fixing all these you I had to take a short bathroom break and customers came in they didn't rob me so this should be proof positive but not everybody is bad that comes to a while right and if some you guys get that impression that this segment of society where things happen this way this one that's about this one that is completely here we go that's like the last six [Music] and one of the next videos will be the year-to-date profitable there's quarters in here these things have a bad habit of skipping we'll keep these and try them the quarter game here in a second but these are notorious for their and these dryers here are 35 years old they're older than I am all right so we got these four boxes here or three of these in our fancy Menards bucket which does not sponsor investment joy so if you with menorah corporate you should also not very professional at this and if I can do it you can do it and I hope that that's the takeaway from all of these videos that I do on YouTube is that it you know if Brandon and Ohio can make money off of a laundromat or buy a piece of real estate as I did this I bought this with no money out of my own pocket I called up an investor that I know and asked them hey this would be a really great thing to buy how about you give me all the money to buy it and I'll pay you back eventually so this is money just all fabric softeners so that's make sure these are $600 of my delicious quarters here look at those quarters look at them look at them aren't they beautiful pretty pretty money and look for quarters when I get the opportunity but it's so time and efficient I found like what two silver quarters here I find bicentennials almost every single time and it's just not time efficient I probably should have my kids but I'm not the type to have time for that right now not with all the trivial part craziness and whatnot for better or worse so here we are with the cash waterfalls where I feel like I am a contestant on a game show because this machine does not organize the money at all and much to the dismay of Danny diello who runs the free laundromat videos much to his dismay I have not spent the $45 yet on a bill staffer once speak at one because I get him enjoy out of this right here it's like Christmas number two I've tried to hook the one in the back up and it's a disaster it took me 45 minutes to hook it up only to find out what's broken so here you ready look at that look at all that money guys isn't it delicious completely full of money and said we're going to do this the most organized professional way I'm taking my bucket of money and I'm carefully arranging it Oh picture all right I'm gonna stuff this into the bucket a little bit better I want to get robbed but I feel very very wealthy this bucket is either full of quarters or full of money this is I mean I don't know if it's all once I haven't even counted it yet but it's by far this is the most bills we've ever had and this is you know halfway full of change so take your guesses guys on how much money's gonna be in here and I want to go over and play that quarter machine there and then go over to my office so I got these quarters I've gonna put the quarter machine and we'll do a picture here I think let's see I think this is a real bad rim strike the rim on the top is significantly thicker than the rim on the bottom not sure if you can tell but maybe we did find a neat coin here so this is my quarter machine that they put the brace on and I'm gonna play it real quick you guys have said for me to play it live or play it and I haven't so long nice yeah see under a hire advice code it has to be a game of skill unlike I said in the start of the video right now it's ready to pay out so I should be able to gain this and actually make money on it rather than lose money it's like I said these games are wonderful what I put two dollars in ish when I came here and it's just the fact that these machines there's times you should play them there's times you shouldn't it's all a timing deal so alright how many quarters did I get so I made money and this is where it's a game of skill I am up money on this machines and what people will do is they will put their corners back in and it's gonna pay out a little bit of money but it's not gonna pay out much there's just times that you've got to play or you can play and you'll make money and there's other times that you shouldn't play and that's just how it is but when you keep playing overall time the house does have an edge not in a gambling way but in a skill way people just don't fit they don't know when to give up so see I said what quarters left which is good so this is my office we will do the quarter collection first or the quarter counting first and then we'll do the bill counting I will get these bills organized real quick because they're a disaster here we are starting our probably biggest quarter collection I don't know but we're going to be close I've got all the money all the bills organized we'll do that here in a second and today there's going to be a bonus at the end of the video I'm going to go through and count all my nickels and dimes which I haven't done in three months I've just kind of been saving them in a Carl's jr. Cup Carlton yours Hardee's this is all quarters from the pop and snack machine turning power on I've got it I got this setup - okay all right this is just out of the soda machine three hundred and twenty-five dollars it's like I just get warmed up with some quarters so three hundred and twenty five dollars that would be seventy five eighty what 8125 that's just my hillbilly math and once again my shoes are on so that number is possible for some changes and we're going to get to the washer and dryers and then once again at the end of the video we'll go through again and get that tape this ends in disaster so we're going to reset it start this is washer/dryer money not disaster but it's also not good I'm gonna have to fix this somehow all right I grabbed a little Debbie's box over there and through the quarters on that so this one's already full with over 600 quarters in it so we'll start again [Music] of course broke it's an example of my life I fixed it I got everything transitioned over to the bucket excluding the Little Debbie burgers okay so we almost broke 500 dollars and only washer-dryer income which is great okay so what we do here is I set the ad and then value button and this is the number of bills just from our snack machine in 58 dollars and we'll do a running total because I've already forgot how much they made our wonderful editor we'll add that on these are probably do all the ones these are ones from the Bill exchanger and hopefully I am explaining this right the bill exchanger just changes bills to quarters of course it just exceeded bills to quarters and then I broke it all right I fixed it so we'll get the snack machine and soda machine number on the screen I will grab this up with the editor since I can't think properly nine once again this is all money from my bill exchanger and what happens is you know we look at how many quarters came in versus how much money did the exchange rate change and we try and track that internally to see how many people have bought or dropped money on the coin pusher game I don't have access to that machine so it's a situation where I'm trying to figure out you know do an estimate of how much money went in that but the bills are what I take to the bank and the cash are the other taxes when I take to the bank and the quarters go right back in my machine all right $169 and I knew I can't wear what the frankenteen total was but we already have more in 100 over had before us that's cool so this is on two fives and this is the largest stack of fives I do believe nice almost well that's over $400 at this point cool up to tens 500 $34 cool as I do this my tenants are calling me and I'm concerned well you guys are more valuable don't tell my tenants I said that all right $714 which that makes this the biggest collection we've ever had and then we've got the snack machine money to add in on top of that now we're going to go on to the bills or not the bills the dimes and nickels which we've never done before someone's getting fired I have to fire the guy that collects all the money at the laundromat because that there's quarters mixed in with the dimes and the nickels and that's not supposed to happen oh my goodness that's how you fix it just as an FYI there on the edge you have to do makes of glory cp9 that's what you do I'm very slow yeah this is going to be the only nickel and dime collection that we've ever done because I want to take it to the bank this is ridiculous it's all my fault oh my fault there's nobody to blame can't blame my nephews for LARPing I can't blame the kid down the street the buck stops with me it's totally my fault all right we've made a total mess here but we got 325 nickels this will work well if I got all of the penny sorted out so we had 325 nickels on the last one that's about 16 bucks we'll put the actual number on the screen once again those are those are 5 cent coins mark person would set it 4 dimes when they change the currency in one of these 40 old machines but unfortunately guys if you don't want to watch me at my worst you don't deserve me at my best like all my successful friends say wait my friend successful friends never say that there's one stuck in there but I'll tell you what guys I don't even need to take my shoes off for this one because that's how many dollars we have here there's another one sorting around in there but thank you guys for watching this is brain with investment joy be sure to LIKE and subscribe and follow discord consider purchasing a Ridge wallet with the code investment joy Ridge comm slash investment joy
