coming up on Animal Cops Houston big cats causing big troubles very heartbreaking to see animals like this on emergency rescue on a massive scale in all in the house right now are critical and a desperate fight to save newborns freezing to death [Music] [Music] freezing rain for the next three hours right now it's only 24 degrees extremely treacherous dangerous situations going on right now oh yeah if you don't have to go anywhere do not leave it's winter in Texas and while the city of Houston is in the grip of some of the coldest weather on record the Houston SPCA are preparing for an emergency rescue on a grand scale one thing that we need to do here as much as we can is bring as much cold-weather gear as possible you know we have vice-president of animal welfare Terry Schatz is coordinating what promises to be one of the largest seizures in the Houston SPCA's history when the call dropped this morning at that point it's really a matter of gathering all available resources everybody coming together as a team which this team is used to doing but everybody has to play a role the Houston SPCA has been called to assist in the seizure of more than three hundred neglected animals from a commercial breeding facility call James and ask him to get the forklift on the ramp over to the shipping containers we're heading to North Texas and they are expecting weather down down to the 40s down to the 20s at night that's a lot of whole 20 degrees Farenheit is -6 Celsius reports suggest that many of the animals are without shelter and some are already close to death we got 76 so far just push it straight in there if the team doesn't act quickly it might be too late come up a little more just was told that there's a twenty five SWAT was the rest of the animals are gonna be large large Rottweiler it's gonna be a big seizure to forty five awesome dog breeding is big business in the US but some operators drive down costs by ignoring the basic needs of their animals these facilities are known in the industry as puppy mills a puppy mill is typically a large breeding operation where animals are seen as breeding machines to pump out puppies to be sold for profit and profit seems to always outweigh the well-being of the animals 200 miles north of Houston the weather has deteriorated [Applause] on a hillside in Coryell County the animals at the breeding facility are feeling the full force of the ice storm there are more than 200 dogs on the property some without shelter many without food or water and for a few it's already too late lieutenant butch wonnie from the Sheriff's Department has served the seizure warrant the owners are in custody facing more than 100 counts of animal cruelty the the Coryell County Sheriff's Office is pursuing more charges as we speak and it's just a matter of getting everything together now and seeing what else needs to be found but that's not all at the rear of the facility are two mountain lions and two Bengal tigers the investigators will need expert help to remove them but first they need to take action before more dogs fall foul of the extreme conditions they need to get out of here it's bitter cold it's too much for animals that are that are not used to it so we have to protect them and keep them from from freezing to death of the surviving animals some are injured and others are simply too young to handle the extreme weather I've been in Texas for the last five years and the weather conditions I've never been like this we couldn't even open up our doors because the temperature dropped it was 40 degrees when you go into a situation like this it's almost like managing a mini disaster you can't be drawn into it so emotionally because it's overwhelming you know if you're emotional on the scene you can't help animals you know we always say you know first you get sad and then you get mad you know and then you do something about it there are more than 200 dogs on the property and the investigators are struggling to know where to start just an SPCA chief investigator Charles Johnson begins to coordinate the team farmer are getting some luck the medical team is set up in one of the buses and while they begin heating bugs are fluid the investigators identified the dogs in most urgent need of house we're gonna gonna warm up some fluids pretty warm and then give it in his belly Houston SPCA vet Dr Frank Schumann will need to act quickly to prevent the loss of further lives what we're doing right now is trying to give them warm fluids get them on a heating pad trying to warm up their temperature because they're right now their temperature is very low it's very critical you know they can go to the respiratory depression and even cardiac arrest if they don't get warmed up pretty quickly if there's any animals or deemed critical protocol meaning that the animals are not going to make it in the next few hours those are the panels we're going to deal with first and get them into a safe environment the property stretches more than 50 acres and many of the enclosures contain newborns [Music] at an exposed corner of the facility two puppies have become separated from their mother and are struggling in the face of freezing winds investigator mark look can house needs to get them out before they succumb to the cold the puppies are outside of the doghouse you can look around and see that we have icicles everywhere seeing right now the mother dog appears nervous and protective of her other pups you're gonna get mama good mama you be there to keep her from eating me if she gets past me look in house knows that entering the enclosure will be risky he calls Tara and dr. Schuman to provide backup [Music] [Music] I'm was trying to make a choice as to where she wanted to be and it's safer for her in her den area she is being a good mom she had to make a choice between the four or the two and she was keeping the four bigger ones war which is a little bit of survival of the fittest in some ways after nearly three hours the animals in most critical condition have been moved out of the cold there are more than 20 puppies including some that are just hours old it's very heartbreaking to see animals like this they're sweet puppies and they they don't deserve to live like this and they don't deserve to be freezing to death out here in this weather throwing the dog over here or we can slow the back of the Dodge or great to bring them around over here while the animals continue to struggle in the freezing conditions Johnson is dealing with a difference but no less dangerous threat inside the owners property cramped cages littered throughout the house animals with no food or water and living in their own waste the problem has caused a dangerous buildup of ammonia a toxic compound which are high levels can be fatal the local fire department has deemed the property unsafe to enter but Johnson suspects there are more newborns inside the house if he doesn't get to them soon it will be too late at a puppy mill in Coryell County the Houston SPCA are facing one of their toughest challenges yet hundreds of neglected dogs are struggling in appalling conditions and many are succumbing to the effects of a freak ice storm sweeping across Texas inside the owners property dangerously high levels of ammonia are threatening the lives of yet more dogs and the team needs to take action immediately animals in the house right now are critical it's unhealthy for humans and it's dangerous for humans it's gonna be dangerous for the animal so we need to get those animals out prolonged exposure to high levels of ammonia can be fatal and if there are newborns inside they'll be in desperate need of help the team Don respirators and protective clothing and prepared to enter the house y'all continue to offload temporarily we're gonna put the animals in the back of the 48 footer okay y'all know what we need to do okay it's already taken a team of 15 people more than three hours to get the most critical dogs into the safety of the vehicles and there are still dozens more needing help the team enters the house and begins clearing each [Music] it's not long before they find what they're looking for dr. Frank Schumann already has more than 20 critical patients on his hands he's about to get six more she's got at least one dead one it's opening up another let's put these puppies put some blankets in another kennel get her to run in with these this one's alive that one's dead we go you can put a dose with though I'm gonna go see if I can do some with this one of the puppies is barely alive Schumann takes him straight to the bus for immediate treatment what happens is the body starts getting cold it starts shutting the blood away from its appendages towards the internal organs especially the heart and you know in the brain to try and you know preserve organ function if it lasts too long you know you can go into cardiac arrest and respiratory failure so what we're going to try and do now is slowly slowly warm him back up [Music] the enormity of the situation is tough to take there are animals in critical condition at all corners of the facility and the team has the even begun to tackle its biggest challenge there are two Bengal tigers and two mountain lions on the property just like the dogs they've received minimal care but removing them will present the team with a huge challenge the investigators have called in experts help dr. mode miranne from the Houston Zoo arrives on scene a specialist in big cats she'll coordinate the procedures already then we'll go ahead and cut the gate there are no laws preventing the ownership of big cats in Texas and a tiger cub can be purchased online for less than the price of a puppy dr. Marin plans to sedate the cats so the team can remove them safely anesthetizing any animal is risky and when they're housed together it presents an even bigger challenge I got spoiled in zoos most of the time when I need to anesthetize an animal they're the keepers put it by himself this time it seems like both animals are together so that's just a little bit more tricky I don't want to anesthetize one and then the other one runs away and hides away from me and then ones asleep sleeping the other 100% a week and then I can't go in to get both tigers under together dr. Marin and dr. Schuman will dart one each but they don't have much time it's now late afternoon and the light is fading in order to get a decent shot they'll need the Tigers to leave the relative warmth of the house we need to direct them both within two minutes because it's dangerous if I don't want equals asleep the other 100% awake that's a bad situation in the same area do you want the chicken Bengal tigers are incredibly rare there are thought to be fewer than 3,000 left in the wild and dr. Marin doesn't want to make any mistakes I think I always do get nervous they're stressed out they don't know what's going on they're difficult to get to I'm gonna try to get the best shot I can but it's dangerous you want to try the food you want to call them and act like you get food so I'll take the nearest one yes [Music] now they're hearing you thinking about it the first time results and now the team has to wait face company yeah the other ones kind of can you get the one in the house okay you want to get the ones and laugh I guess okay doctor marine shoots it's now vital that dr. Schumann gets his shot in so both Tigers go down together yeah let's uh let's move that guy the vets move away to reduce the stress and the Tigers so now the best-case scenario once they're confident that both cats are asleep the investigators will transfer them to the truck Johnson has called the shelter and the medical team have already begun preparing for their arrival overall this is one of the ordinance is a unique investigation and the unique rescue operations where typically we deal with with dogs and cats and we deal with farm animals and but the Houston SPCA does have the capacity to deal with exotics and we're one of the few shelters in the country that has that ability good if you want to come in and bring that okay all right if I could get out one two three one two okay again the team needs to get the tiger on the truck quickly so dr. Marin can give him a reversal of the drug but moving a fully grown Bengal tiger isn't easy adults can weigh more than thirty stone and it takes five people to carry him phooey it was definitely nerve-racking hearing that tiger roar right by her head I've been with the SPCA about six months now my whole life this is the first time I've ever been you know six inches away from from a huge wild cat you know I could feel the breath of a cat on my face it's kind of scary though breathing so if okay awesome while the first tiger is closely monitored the team returns for his female companion perfect okay she appears to be fast asleep but when the team gets too close okay we're gonna give her a good four minutes so it's six o'clock I just need a little bit more city's very asleep but not asleep enough yeah better safe than sorry alright I think it's time to talk I think she's sleeping pretty good now as the team brings the second Tiger out the first is beginning to come round [Music] while the investigators grappled with the Tigers the vets head back to the rear of the property to secure the mountain lions they've lost the lights but the Lions are much calmer than the Tigers and dr. Schuman is able to get a clear shot without any problems yeah just dark the last one we're gonna wait 10 to 15 minutes to make sure that the injector will actually went in and then a little sets from there and see if we can pull them out safely and get them loaded in a exam meanwhile both tigers are now wide-awake and then not happy [Music] attention Houston SPCA staff while animal care team please report to caddy Val all animal care team please report to Canada thank you [Music] all right guys um so we just had our last phone call as of right now looks like the large cats are coming back tonight and then the dogs they're sending most critical back tonight so the bus has all of the puppies on it we expect them to come in here about midnight tonight and we'll have a veterinarian on staff here assessing the worst animals [Music] after seizing nearly 200 animals from a neglectful breeder in Coryell county a team from the Houston SPCA has returned to the shelter in the hospital the medical staff are set up to receive the dogs in critical condition while outside a dozen members of the animal care team face an altogether more dangerous challenge [Music] Houston SPCA president Patti Mercer an animal services manager Isaac Rosario needs a maneuver the lions and tigers into a specially prepared holding area so guess it's about three o'clock in the morning we've got a huge team up here lots of folks who have worked through the night lots of folks who've driven through the night in order to get here and it's very cold out here but you know we'll get the job done what we doing right now we actually had the pilots that we keep restrictions between us and the mountain lion I make sure we're not getting ourselves caught or gained an animal injured in any way unfortunately you know there are too many avenues for people to find animals like this and keep them as you know so-called pets I'm gonna push it in if you guys these are dangerous wild animals you know we don't believe they belong in the hands of private owners at all and you know so sad to see animals that have you know been subjected to living in such a horrible environment so you know our objective if we get custody of these animals will be to put them in a sanctuary [Music] at the other end of the building dr. Cheryl Hagen and the team have begun assessing the dogs many of them are sick in the vets know they're in for a long night two of the three puppies that came in have tested positive for gr do they have probably some upper respiratory disease going on as well as internal parasite which is causing a lot of the discomfort and everything they're kind of taking the most critical ones first he's English out with any walk outside Isaac he's dealing with two extremely agitated Tigers in every what's in you they're unhappy right now with the transport they're good being displaced from one location to another it's a very uncomfortable situation and they're absolutely expressing the team places boards against the sides of the cage for extra protection Tiger's claws can be five inches long and Isaac doesn't want anyone getting hurt they're going keep going keep going keep going keep going stop stop no matter how many times you see a tiger up close you are in all of that animal and it's power and so we're always respectful and have to be respectful of what that animal can do our job is to save that animal but we respect their power same thing gonna push my way and at the wall one two three go once the cage has been placed against the wall the team raises the access door and the first Tiger is secured one more left meanwhile in the hospital the team are fighting a losing battle we had a mom and seven puppies they were in the cold one of the puppies actually passed we have had quite a few puppies that have come in here with hypothermia and the moms actually were pretty lethargic as well and that probably has a lot to do with the fact that they were already ill in the cold weather was exacerbated the problem ready and then we okay with them together okay after a tense procedure the last of the big cats is safely housed and so you know the next step is to get some good food down for them and we're going to be into doing some medical workup some on the cats we have another zoo veterinarian who will be coming over a little bit later in the morning in the hospital that dogs keep coming and the team have their hands full assessing and treating each one in turn many are still in critical condition and will need to be monitored closely over the next 24 hours by the time every dog has been accounted for it's gone 7 a.m. it's been an exhausting night and the team has no way of knowing how many dogs will survive our team is incredible here these folks have worked through the night some people are you know going into almost a 24 hour day now of course we've got 100 more dogs to move this morning from that location it's pretty incredible but you know it's what we do and you know everybody's just pitches in and it's a you know it's an incredible team effort [Music] as the operation moves into its second day the freezing temperatures are showing no signs of letting up and the team still has more than a hundred dogs to deal with having rescued the animals in most urgent need of help the team now faces one final push to remove the older more resilient dogs [Music] vice-president of animal welfare Terry York shot suspects they've suffered a lifetime of neglect it's really intriguing about this setup there are no food buckets in here and almost every enclosure not only has the latches on the gates but they're all wired shut which makes them think that that animals these dogs have been fed by dumping food just simply into their enclosure when there's cages with over where it's a line no one has any interaction with these dogs they don't go in and socialize with them they have no life they're not cared for in terms of attention this is this is cruel I mean it's sad because these dogs can be very nice dogs and very friendly dogs as long as they're socialized the team has documented the dogs living conditions in preparation for a court hearing in just a few days if the Houston SPCA is to have any chance of offering the animals in new home it's vital they're awarded permanent custody all right now we're in the price just moving through the kennels methodically and the effort to get them out of here and now we are on the last push to get these last hunting dogs at the property and they get them it's all hands on deck at this point just trying to get it done good girl even though most of the dogs appear friendly the team still has to tread carefully when they enter the enclosures I'm ready some of the females look like they're definitely if they've already been bred should I show a little bit more territorial we're getting into the kennels in there really wanting us to get out of their way you have to use the catch well it's a humane way of capturing an animal but still keeping them as safe as possible in some of these guys we've been getting into their kennels or into their territory and it is their territory the team works quickly and methodically and finally after two days in some of the most extreme conditions they've ever experienced the last of the animals is secured once the dogs get to the shelter the medical team will take charge but for the investigators it's all over we're all really tired we're all very very cold my lips oh I knows I can't even film oh I should have had words thicker socks the past few days really long days today's been a really long day it's really good to know that it's coming to an end first thing I'm gonna do when I get home I'm gonna take the stinky clothes off take a really hot long shower probably just veg out in front of the TV [Music] in the days that follow the shelter is stretched a breaking point as the animal care team works around the clock feeding treating and monitoring every animals seized from the facility [Music] in the cruelty Department the team prepares its case and finally at the Coryell County Courthouse they get the news they've been waiting for every animal seized from the location is awarded to the Houston SPCA it's great news but Johnson's been in this situation before and he knows the animals are not out of the woods yet whenever an animal's were moved with a warrant state of Texas has a 10-day period where a person who loses custody of the ownership of their animals has a right to appeal and so the animals are basically in limbo for a period of 10 days with this dude status word now if the animals are appeal didn't we'll have another hearing and then from there what the wait-and-see with the judge's determination or the next level Court before these animals can be place and with their permanent home if the original owners decide to appeal the judge's verdict the animals will have to remain at the shelter while a second hearing is convened I'm gonna go for a right of way so it's going on funerals the legal process can last for months and though the big cats are no safe Johnson knows they'll be better off in a sanctuary equipped to deal with their specialist needs the line of tigers they're gonna carry clean and in sterile environments now and they're in there in a good habitation however it's not ideal by far and it is a little worrisome because our main goal is to see these animals put in an environment to where they're safe and they're not kept in a limbo the original owners now have ten days to appeal and all the team can do is wait after being awarded custody at more than 300 neglected animals the Houston SPCA cruelty team has been waiting anxiously on use of a possible appeal good morning mr. Walker speaking how to help you this morning after a nervous 10 day wait they've received the news they've been working for the original owners have decided not to appeal the court's decision and the Houston SPCA president party Mercer couldn't be happier we are thrilled there's been no appeal in this case so these animals can start their second chance at life in their new homes their new sanctuaries where they will be cared for properly probably for the first time in their lives the team has already found a century willing to take on the big cat seized from the facility all right and I like to take a peek at him before I make a dart the male tiger needs to be muted before the big move and the team has called in Houston zoo's director of veterinary services dr. Joseph Flanagan to coordinate the procedure every time we do an anesthesia the cocktail that we use the combination of drugs is a little bit different and every animal reacts a little bit differently to it so I want to look at the animal and see what kind of condition think he's in where his head is if he's very excited you may want to use a little bit more drug for dr. Schuman the opportunity to work on such a rare and unusual animal is too great to pass Oh he's come in on his day off to help out I'm gonna neuter him as you know and timely a fashion as possible it's basically the same procedure as she'd do a tomcat but he's obviously quite a bit bigger at nearly three metres long the tiger is too big to be operated on inside the hospital so the team will perform the procedure inside the Tigers enclosure that work and you can go to town on your and others do some dr. Shulman has never performed surgery on a tiger before to get hands-on with such a huge animal is quite an experience how's it feel yeah I say you could do a Kevlar vest out of that son oh yeah dr. Flanagan is involved with an international breeding program to protect rare species like the Bengal tiger but none of the cats seized from the facility will play any part in the breeding program in cases of pet Tigers for backyard Tigers we have absolutely no idea where their genetics come from and often their bread without heed to inbreeding or crossbreeding different types of tigers like Siberian and Bengal so we really want to put a stop to the backyard tiger business there's no need for more tigers in captivity no problem don't hurry we have money time we do want it to have a good high quality life for the rest of its its natural days and by castrating him will will give him that and he'll be less frustrated because he won't have that hormonal drive to be breeding all the time and he'll be able to live happily with a female and he'll have this the social companionship but he won't have the downside of producing more cups there we go just beautiful after 20 minutes it's all over the operation has gone smoothly and the tiger is all set for the journey to his new home we got blood we've got vaccinations castration went really well and we're gonna wake him up here and hopefully it's not too upset dr. Schuman has treated thousands of animals since he joined the Houston SPCA twelve months ago but he admits this morning's procedure stay with him for years to come very few opportunities come around where we were able to treat these guys but you know taking the opportunity for to broaden my knowledge and in you know to broaden my horizons in medicine but he I was just pretty awesome dr. Schulman's introduction to the world of big cat surgery isn't over yet next door dr. Flanagan's colleague from the Houston Zoo dr. karen sue shlonsky has a challenge on her hands over the last few days the male mountain lion has been limping and the team has spotted a problem on the part of the one of his paws we're just gonna sedate the male mountain lion because he has a puncture wound to his left front paw and he's works up little pieces of gravel into it so we're gonna sedate him take some radiographs get a good weight on him and see if we can get all that out even though dr. tush Laos key is an expert on exotics she still uses many of the principles that apply to domestic animals Cougars are are very similar to the domestic cat just an extra large size they have basically all the same parts and they're built the same way so I as a zoo veterinarian when I go to any of my non domestic or zoo animals to do the medicine on them my first thought is okay what animal is this most closely to and in this case he's most closer to a domestic cat so that's where I start working with exotics on a regular basis dr. Tosh Laos key knows just how demanding they can be she's glad that the team stepped in to give these cats a second chance I can understand the thrill of having an animal like this but it comes with a lot of responsibility not only you know with safety you have to make sure the animals secure have to make sure it's properly fed gets the proper medical care that kind of thing and a lot of people I think tend to skimp on some of those areas so in general I am NOT for having exotic cats at at private homes though not as large as the Bengal tigers the mountain lions are no less ferocious in order to carry out the procedure the lion will have to be darted they have potential to bite you so we don't want anybody to get hurt here so we have to use full anesthesia for these animals in order for us to work safely on them once the line is down he's carried through to x-ray so the team can determine exactly how to treat the injury we're trying to get those little pieces of gravel out and to know how much we're working with we're taking radiographs of that limb to decipher that you can see this little pebble you know that's it's stuck in there some triangles all right now we're trying to fish you know a little bit of that foreign object out of the end of the paw without creating more trauma than necessary hopefully you know he gained full function you know of his a pong the team needs to open up the pod remove any gravel and then flush out the wound dr. Tosh Laos key needs to make sure the procedure doesn't take longer than absolutely necessary we're trying to work quickly because the longer an animal is under anesthesia the more risk it is to the animal that something could potentially go wrong the team also takes the opportunity to carry out a routine health check on the lion to vaccinate him against feline diseases and take blood for analysis [Music] [Music] after less than half an hour the procedure is complete okay all right so we're done with what we intended to do he's been vaccinated has had blood drawn I mean I've given him a general look over his pad has been treated and we're ready to move him back to his enclosure [Music] once the line is back on his feet the team will keep a regular check on his progress but doctor touch louse he knows it will be a good few hours before he's up and walking again and so we're gonna give him a little bit of reversal and hopefully he'll come up a little faster but one of the drugs I did give him does have a long lasting anesthetic effect and so he it wouldn't not be unusual for him to sleep most of the day just to make sure [Music] so he's starting to come around a little bit I'm just touching him with the poles so that I see whether or not he has reflexes whether he twitches he's starting to blink his eye as the lion begins to come round dr. Schuman can reflect on a remarkable day's work I was definitely a great learning experience for me as soon as you you let your guard down or something people can get you know injured and that's why we take so many precautions and how we're operating with these guys [Music] the Houston SPCA adoptions team has also been busy contacting dog rescue groups from all corners of the US I'm gonna guess the starts about six years old a team from the American Rottweiler Association arrives at the shelter to process and evaluate every single dog seized from the facility she'll make a great pet despite concerns that the dogs would be fearful or aggressive they have great temperaments this is gonna make a really good pet for anybody this one she could go out pretty darn quick the story of the seizure is prompted a huge response and dozens of people come forward to offer the dogs new homes we've been having transports come in almost every day to take them out all around the country there these dogs are now in about 25 states we picked up 13 dogs or distributing them to the Southeast United States are you ready from the Southwestern Rottweiler Club in San Diego and we're transporting eight dogs back it's amazing what the team here is done with so many dogs so quickly telling all the puppies the numbers rose to about 270 and now we're down to 23 so it's it's really been amazing ah the residents of Houston are also playing their parts come on sweetie Brian and Lesley Helen doll have taken in a mother dog and her pup this is Daisy she's one of the Mamas come on girls Dave he's doing great she's put on a lot of weight she's becoming very social she's a really good dog very well-behaved we don't have any problems with her at all you know when we first got her she was extremely unsocial she didn't like people approaching her you could tell she was just afraid she didn't know anything but after people feeding her and petting her she's turned into a great dog what is it there's really no bad dogs at heart I mean they're all good they just need someone to give them the right attention today marks the end of one of the team's most challenging cases [Music] start of a new chapter in the lives of four exotic cats rescued by the Houston SPCA after a life of confinement at the hands of neglectful owners the mountain lions and Bengal tigers have arrived at their forever home the international exotic animal sanctuary in Boyde Texas [Music] the sanctuary was set up 20 years ago as a refuge for abused or abandoned exotic animals and more than 50 big cats call it home vice-president of animal welfare Terry York Schatz has come along to witness the cat's safe arrival well we're letting our first lion that's a female she's been the most distressed so it's probably best for her to get into her enclosure first she's ready to get out of there okay very relieved she's gonna need a couple minutes to relax and smell all the other cats but she's much happier right now then she was two minutes ago so okay babe you're home the male lion isn't quite as confident as his female companion but after some gentle encouragement slowly enters his new enclosure he's definitely he's checking it out and he seems pretty today he's pretty calm he's I would bet he stays in there for a little while and he probably will come out and explore when we're all gone it feels great because we know that they're gonna get a great outstanding home here for the rest of their lives you know each one of these enemies come here because they have a poor life and once they get here they're gonna have a quality of life like they've never had before with the lions safely housed the team turned their attention to the Tigers makes your hair stand up a little bit being still field of operation I don't care what you know if you've been around them 20 years the female is stressed and desperate to leave the confines of her cage she's just nervous you know this is all new she's been hold all day long she's been sedating she's in all these people surrounded her you know she doing good for this after scoping out to a new enclosure she reminds the team that she's no pussycat okay three down one to go I'm probably about 130 beats per minute or so so it's starting to come down a little bit an animal as powerful as that is and it can kill you so quickly never should get complacent working around those animals after everything they've been through chief investigator Charles Johnson is relieved that the case has had such a positive outcome there's been a long road to get them to this final stage we went from where accrual confinement to in transition and now final placement it's very rewarding on everyone's behalf and they're gonna be with people that actually take care of it properly this is a really happy ending for all the animals involved they're on grass I mean how wonderful was that you know they've given them so all sorts of enrichment they've got ledges they've got toys they've got pools this is fantastic [Music] you
