first corinthians chapter one please first corinthians chapter one [Music] first Corinthians chapter 1 verse 18 please verse 18 I believe the Lord led let upon my heart to preach this message today and I pray that it will be a blessing to each and every one of you first Corinthians chapter 1 and we will read verse 18 verse 18 the Apostle Paul is the author of the book of Corinthians and he's writing to the Church of Corinth concerning what we all stand and believe and preach about for the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness but unto us which are saved it is the power of God the Apostle Paul he mentions to the church at Corinth that at verse 18 when we preach about the cross to a lot of people it's foolishness to them have you ever seen people give you the look have you ever seen people feel uncomfortable around you and you mention about Jesus died on the cross for your sins that's the kind of day and age we live in and guess what spin that way for the past 2,000 years have not shaped people feel uneasy people they cringe people they feel the nervous tension when it comes to the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ why is that because to them that perish foolishness what does that mean to them that perish that means that those people who take the preaching of the Cross foolishness who don't have knowledge of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ that day will one day perish you understand without the cross then you will perish your soul will perish in burning hell so the cross is your only stepladder and you need to climb up that wood that piece of cross and go all the way to the top that reaches to the glories of heaven the cross is the only thing that can get you out of hell and get you to have it do you have the cross do you know the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ I'm not talking about a piece of cross on a wall for decoration I'm not talking about that one that's merely just an object I'm talking about the actual cross that the Lord Jesus Christ died upon 2,000 years ago do you invisibly do you spiritually think about that and do you cling on to it and do you believe on it because unto us keep reading but unto us which are saying see that those are people who are saved those are people who know Jesus Christ say from hell unto us which are saved it is what the power of God that's the reason why when we talk about the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ we get excited about it we rejoice about it we praise the Lord about it but to the world they get quiet about it silence over it they say now it's not a good time to talk about it don't give me religion there's another time for religion oh so the only time you think about religion the only time you attend church is usually two things as one preacher said it's only a wedding and a funeral that's the only time people start to think about the cross of Jesus Christ it's got to be every day in your life that you think about the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ and every day and you're like that cross should mean something to you it saved your soul from hell it can grant you forgiveness of sins it's the one that can get you access into heaven it's the cross that makes you join fellowship in with his sufferings and you know what it's like to take up your cross and follow Jesus Christ it is the cross that makes you crucified to the flesh and to the world there are so many things to say about the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ do you really know the cross let's pray father God talking to you again there are many other people that you're hearing right now and are praying to you and I pray Heavenly Father that you'll hear this servant here and then you'll fill within him the power of your Holy Spirit you wash away his sins with the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and that you'll guide his tongue for the tongue is a world of iniquity as the book of James said it's a small thing that can actually say the wrong things and I pray that this tongue will give glory to your name because my tongue has been used enough for my own gain and this tongue needs to say something that will bring your game and bring game to other people I pray father that the words that people will hear today that they will take it as you father speaking to them that you are trying to show them that you will comfort their heart so you will bless their hearts and if there be any sin in any wrongdoing conviction as well father we are nothing without the power of the Lord Jesus Christ thank you so much for the cross because that is why I am here today may the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ be elevated today while Jean Kim is on the ground on the foot of the cross looking at you it's not on to you Kim it's you do you see me pray then the first thing I want you to understand about the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ is that it's the only thing that the Lord God sees as payment for your sins now when you see the cross of Lord Jesus Christ you got to see this that's the manifestation of the love of Jesus Christ that's how much he loved you so much that he bled and he died for you on the cross and a lot of people they take comfort on the cross of Jesus Christ but they don't understand why Jesus had to bleed that way they don't descend why Jesus had to be whipped that way they don't realize how much Jesus Christ had to go through the cruel Agony's of torture to be hung naked on the cross for you and I you might say why did he do that pastor you know why because of you you might say what pastor meet that's right because of you if I saw my mother walk in and she was bleeding all over her face was cut her body was bruised it would grieve my heart it would grieve my heart and mind and I would go who did that to you and then if my mom told me that was you son you were drunk yesterday night and then you beat me and you hurt me that much how much grief would I feel but you see you can understand this lost people the Bible says are likened to the drunken of the night and you understand that the dregs of sin that you're drinking down on your throat has blinded you from the holiness of God it made you not think about God it made you not think about what pleases him it makes you it corrupts your mind the dregs of sin makes you revel in it makes you focus on sin and you don't care every day when you take God's name in vain when you cuss when you don't think about God at church today when you don't pick up the Bible and read it and pray just think about God God is not your focus that day when you fell back to the lust of your flesh when you think the wrong thoughts and if you take in the kind of things that you shouldn't be putting in your mouth when you're living your life into the world and in sin you don't think about God you're in a frenzy like a drunk and you're drinking up the dregs of sin without thinking about the Savior that you're beating that you're grieving you know I'm not when I'm doing that in sin did you read the Bible it says grieve not the Holy Spirit of God where are sealed unto the day of redemption you can understand that what hurts God the most is actually not physically beating his face what hurts God the most is your sin you want evidence of that you know what the Bible says the Bible talked about the Lord Jesus Christ at the Garden of Gethsemane and he said law if it be possible let this cup pass from me what is that Cup that cup is the wrath God's wrath upon sin you might say why would God feel that way very simple because for all eternity he had no beginning so for billions and billions of years for all eternity at the beginning he never knew what it was like to taste sin a lot of people don't understand that the number one attribute of God is not his love the number one attribute of God is his holiness it's his holiness that he cares and thinks about the most because when you got the cherubim surrounding the throne of God did you read Revelation chapter 5 if you read Revelation chapter 5 you got the cherubim surrounding the throne of God and they're not singing love love love no you know what they're singing holy holy holy you want the world is emphasizing on love love love all you need is love and that's the reason why they get the spirit of tolerance toward any sin toward any belief toward any religion you might say are you a hate speech person no see that's the brainwashing mentality of being drunk in the night and you're not seeing the light of Jesus Christ you understand this that in the Word of God what God says if God says this is the way to go to heaven and if a different religion or a different church and yeah we're a Baptist Church but guess what Baptist churches get it wrong too so if Jean Kim or any Church or any religion I don't care who you are what you are all right it doesn't matter what kind of church or religion you are God doesn't look at Church and religious what he's looking at is if there's anything or anybody who contradicts what he says and he says that's wrong so if God says one way and then Church says another religion says another school says another so and so says another then you got to realize this is that everyone is wrong and only God is right you understand that why is that pastor because God created everybody everything you and I didn't you understand we got to go by his terms and his rules well he's so unfair he saw and just no he's not he's holy he will never do anything unfair and unjust you know who's unfair unjust you because you prioritize yourself what you want more than what God wants see that and then when God wants you to go to his standard you call that cruelty you call that on Jossie you know what you are you're drunk you're drunken in the night you're totally blind you're totally blind and in a rage you're calling God unfair unjust hate-speech and you're beating him you're beating him and you revel in your sin you tolerate different people's sins and lifestyles and religions that contradict the holiness of God and that hurts God the most you understand why did they whip his back that it tore his back into shreds when the whip landed on him you understand that those cat-o'-nine-tails that when they whipped up the victims back then it would sometimes attach to the flesh and when they would pull out the flesh it would slice the skin muscles was sometimes sliced wide open and then people would believe some people died at the beating you know you know why Jesus went because of your sin because you call God unjust cruel hate-speech you didn't go to church you didn't read your Bible you didn't think about Jesus Christ you reveled in your sin you please that's why Jesus went through that for you you know ideas Christ had to wear that crown of thorns and those crown of thorns when they gushed across his head you can imagine those thorns how they sunk down inside his forehead and blood squirted out everywhere and the brain area is rich in blood and then it just drips all over him why did Jesus Christ have to go through that because of you you sinned against God you didn't care about his holiness why did Jesus Christ had to have those island spikes pierced on his hands and in his feet and every time he had to get a Gasper there he had his balls which wrapped around those spikes he had to pull himself up and get a wisp of air and put himself back down again some people beat themselves on the cross didn't you know that otherwise they would suffocate why did Jesus Christ have to go through that because of your sin you understand this that's how much the Lord Jesus Christ he bled and died for you do you know why because that's how awful your sin is you got to realize that's how awful God thinks of your sin a lot of us don't think how serious and awful sin is that we don't realize as a holy God he has to just sin with eternal Hellfire you might say man God takes this really seriously that's right because you don't realize how high his holiness is that's how high his holiness is like dogs who don't give a second thought in tasting up the dung on the ground and we think that's gross that's what we're like we're animals and we don't see how disgusting that thing is that we taste in our mouths and God thinks that is gross that is detestable you know why because he's a different creature from us and we're a different creature from God you got understand that God thinks that that's gross that that's disgusting that what grieved him the most was your sins upon himself every time you see the bloody face of the Lord Jesus Christ where his beard was plucked off where there are scars on his face bruises from the beating where people punched him and those crown of thorns gush and then his eyes are looking straight at you remember this that's the person that you beat up overnight that's the person that you woke up to in the morning after you lived your life and said that person that you grieved when you came to church today when yesterday night you lived in sin that's the person's face that you look you understand that that's what the crosses see people don't see the cross as a sign of holiness holiness you know what that was the wrath of God the wrath of God Hollywood you know they would sometimes be sarcastic about how Jesus Christ is tortured in a movie and they would say that's just too bloody for me why would why did he go through that you know why he did that for you that's how awful your synesthete how grotesque your sin is and you don't realize that that was you who but Jesus Christ do that bloody mess and then you would mock that you would downplay that see how people think little of their sin and they drunk overnight see doing that to Jesus Christ doing that to Jesus Christ you should you and I should have went to hell a long time ago but because Jesus Christ took the beating for you took the awful consequence and the punishment of sin upon himself you don't have to go through that mess you don't have to burn in hell for all eternity so do you not understand that the cross was there as his seriousness toward sin how much he hates it how much he hates different beliefs that contradict what his truth States another thing about the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ you understand is not just his holiness but what a lot of people don't think about is his love as well you understand that the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ that that was God's wrath that was the father's wrath but that was the son's love you understand that the father he was in his rage he was in his wrath and he was just slaying sin he was beating up sin he was like this is all my rage that I saved up for all of sinners for the past thousands of years and Jesus said put it on me Father put it on me father and if you are a father who was angry at a group of people who mocked you who grieved you who poked fun at you and criticized you and didn't follow and made fun of you and then criticized your teaching your belief your stay and you were underage and they hurt you and then you wanted to get payday and pay back and then all of a sudden your son says no father let all your anger fall upon me do you realize that's what Jesus did for you do you realize that God the son stepped in front of God the Father and said hit me father let the rock fall upon me God all your rage all your anger and the father had to do that to his only begotten Son have yet have you known what it's like to get an only child and only son do you know what it's like you'd probably spoil them a little more rotten because you know that's the only child that you got what if someone hurts your child what if someone hurts your little boy what if someone beats your little boy spat upon your little boy but your little boy said no father all that rage you shed upon that person let it fall upon me do you realize how much love there was on the cross of the Lord Jesus right people don't understand his love you understand that's how much the father loved you so much that he said okay I'm gonna pour out my wrath and you know he is holy he is 100% holy he is 100% wrath 100% judgment upon sin to show his serious neste toward sin but then Jesus Christ traded your sin with his holiness and Jesus Christ you know why he lived wholly for thirty three and a half years never thought a wrong thought never said the wrong word so that he can trade his holiness for your sin and he took all your sin upon himself and he said let the wrath come there was only one person who double-dared the devil and said let him pour his rage upon me hell is the Lord Jesus Christ you will see this preacher not daring saying that to the devil I'm gonna run away from saying that ain't gonna say that to the devil but there was one man who did and that is Jesus Christ and you know what the devil poured out his temptation his rage and he said I'm gonna make you quit I'm gonna make you quit but Jesus Christ said bring it on here's the beard pluck it out a little more here's my face beat it up a little harder go ahead and gush thorns go ahead and pierce those iron spikes on my hands in my feet bring it all and Jesus Christ brought it on because he did it for you he loved you that much greater love hath no man than this the Bible says and a man lay down his life for his friends but God commendeth his love towards us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us for God so loved the world that He gave His only be on son now whosoever believeth in him should have everlasting life do you realize how much love Jesus Christ shed upon you at the cross of Calvary and do you know how many people every day reject the cross of Jesus Christ when someone tells him about the cross and shows them how to get sin do you realize how many people make fun of the cross of Jesus Christ when someone tries to tell them how to get saved by the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ do you know how many people bypass and reject a tract that you give to them when that tract shows them about the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ do you know how many people would prefer to go to the bars go to the world go to their own homes rather than come to church and then hear about the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ do you know how many people they would bypass not think about the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ when they go back to their sin when they go back to their flesh do you know how many times wicked and heinous sinful mankind which includes you and I would bypass cross of the Lord Jesus Christ when that cross of the Lord Jesus Christ was I love you from the father and you bypass I love you you reject I love you from the father that was the love of the Lord Jesus Christ do you realize what the cross did for you and I that was a sign of love the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ was also a sign of power you got understand there is no power greater than the blood there is no power greater than the blood the Lord Jesus Christ now when they nailed him on that piece of wood that blood ran down when they whipped his back up blood ran down and that crown of thorns was pierced upon his head the blood ran down and the blood ran down the blood ran down the blood ran down so much that He shed every last drop of his blood how do you know that preacher because water also touched out from his side why did he said that much blood cuz that was God's wrath his wrath was not satisfied yet his wrath was continuous for it was all eternity of Hell of all the mankind sin and God was not appeased yet his rap was not a peace yet the only thing that can appease his wrath was fare payment and so innocent lambs had to be sacrificed because someone innocent had to die for someone else's sin someone innocent had to take the justice and the judgment for somebody else's wrongdoing and that's why innocent lambs were offered but they were just innocent lambs they were only sheep the blood of good bulls and goats could not take away sins the Bible says until the final land came behold the lamb of God John the Baptist said when he pointed at Jesus Christ behold the lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world that Lamb of God you don't realize Fran that was the final sacrifice that was the land without spot and without blemish and that land you don't realize how much power there was in the blood it is the blood that drives away the devil's of Hell it is the blood that witches and the occult still have trouble with it is the blood that gives victory over the strongest addiction of heroin it is the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ that brings you to the throne of grace brings answer to the prayer the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ ii cleanse your sins from past present and future it is the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ that can permanently save some soul is the bladder of the Lord Jesus Christ that shall never lose its power it is the blood it is the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ that has the power to save to the uttermost to life everlasting what can save you from the eternity of damnation is the eternal power of the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ you need something permanent you need something everlasting you need something eternal to get rid of the eternal damnation of your sins and that is the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ much more than the Bible says being now justified by his blood we shall be saved from wrath through him do you think that God's wrath was appeased when he beat his son and blood trickled down his hand his wrath was appeased sometimes people don't get satisfied and they are anger and their rage until they see blood I'm not gonna be satisfied until I see blood some person out of anger says and you don't think that when that blood was shed God was satisfied don't you think that his heart melted don't you think that justice was satisfied don't you think that holiness was appeased when the blood was shed from the holy and the innocent Lamb of God you know what that cross did I'll tell you what that crossed it it has so much power my friend that I don't care how damnable and how deep and how dark your sin is you can go down to the bottomless pit of hell but that thought of that cross is long enough to reach the bottom of the pits of hell and it's long enough to stretch across to the third heaven up to the throne of glory and those of you who are in despair who are in darkness I don't know if any of you today are lost in sin I don't know if there's anyone here who is not sure they can go to heaven after they die I'm not sure if there's anyone here who is lost and they're wondering if there are saying I wonder if there's someone here who is lost in their sin my friend no matter how deep you are how lost you are or how dark dark you are in the bottomless pit of hell you can see that light of heaven because the cross is your stepladder and all by faith and say I'm gonna rest on that cross that cross of the Lord Jesus Christ rule he'll bring you up he'll bring you up you don't have to bring up yourself a lot of people they feel like they have to bring up themselves that's why they would add works with the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ a lot of people believe on the cross of Jesus a lot of people do I can daresay 90% of the people in this room believe at the cross of Jesus but you know what people think is that when they believe on the cross of Jesus they have to climb up themselves they have to work their way toward having ourselves my friend that's why people will add baptism to the cross of Jesus I believe in Jesus and I should get baptized for my salvation that's wrong I believe in the cross of Jesus but I should go to church for my salvation that's wrong I believe in the cross of Jesus so I should clean up my sins that's wrong I believe in the cross of Jesus so I should be a good person that's wrong is there anything wrong in being a good person and cleaning up sin no we encourage that God wants you to live that way but that cannot save your soul only the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ can save your soul so what you need to do is that when you see the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ you can't just say oh I believe and I'm gonna do something about it the Bible says not of yourselves not not of yourselves it is the gift of God what do you do with the gift you don't do anything for it alright it's a gift you accept it you receive it so here's that cross of the Lord Jesus Christ and if you believe on it all you have to do is accept it rest on it trust on it cling on to the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ let it do all the work for you in taking you to heaven let it do all the work for you in cleaning up your sin problem because if you think something you have to do saves you then why in the world did Jesus even have to die for you Jesus died for you so that he can get rid of your sins because you are helpless to get rid of your own sins you think you and I can be 100% holy like Jesus do you think that you and I can clean up all of our sins do you think you and I can ever be good enough to go to heaven well I'm a good person I went to church I've lived a good life and I cleaned up my sins don't get me wrong in my eyes you may be a very good person but in God's eyes the gap is still too great you're a lost sinner who needs a savior in the eyes of God that's why God has to trade his holiness for your sins do you think that you're if you're if you think you're good enough of a person let me ask you this okay you ever thought a wrong thought today one wrong your and God bless your heart man if you only did three times that day now three times times 365 days in the year how many is that it's more than a thousand times you sinned against God times 80 years of your life that's more than eighty thousand times against God and you think a holy judge is gonna let you slide a thousand times break his law see that the gap is still too great no matter how good of a person you think you are the gap is still too great that's why you need him you can't do anything yourself you can't do anything yourself all you can do simply that's what truly believing means it simply means believing it doesn't mean I have to do something more no it's just believing that like that yeah like that okay pretend this is the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ you're helpless you're in sin okay you're you're like man and stuck in sin I'm gonna burn in hell for my sin man and god I don't like I don't want to be in this mess man I repent all I can do now is just what God says just trust on me just like that just like that go ahead deep do you do you trust on me my cross to get you out of hell yes God I only trust on you all right and then he'll pull you up from the bottom of the cross and he will carry you up that stepladder up through the cross and you will pass by all the way to the top and Jesus Christ he will hold your hand and carry you up to the third heaven and Satan cannot touch you that's what truly believing on the cross is is that it has power to save to the uttermost won't any of you today just simply all you have all God wants is a repentant sinner will just simply say to God god I'm tired man I mean nothing on myself this time I'm only relying on you I'm believing on that cross to save me you're saved it's that simple it's that simple that's what truly believing means believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved you're believing on you're relying on that cross that piece of wood to hold you up it's holding me up I'm not falling see I'm not falling no matter what why is that because the cross is what holds me up it is the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ that holds me up she believed on rely on resting on that blood that He shed for you on the cross it has the power to save to the uttermost it's so amazing all God had to do to save a person's soul from hell here are the Angels crying out well are we gonna do your Satan rubbing his hand saying oh I got them trapped in hell are these Souls wandering and crying out who can save me from the destruction of sin I'm going to burn in hell and there was there seemed to be no solution to the problem a lot of people had to bring up innocent lambs and innocent animals to be sacrificed to take care of their sin problem a lot of people during the Old Testament they tried to live clean lives and if they messed up and send that to sacrifice an animal to make up for that sin but keeping the law and sacrificing bulls and goats could not take away sin it seemed everything was hopeless sin seemed to be a very complicated problem a complicated issue because holiness and justice starting from the door ready to slay the soul with eternal damnation because sin must be paid for crime must be paid for punishment had to be brought to the holy throne of God and holiness and justice stood before the throne it seemed like nothing could break the holiness of God nothing could save you from the sin problem sin seemed to be a permanent a complicated issue that cannot be fixed and all God had to do was step down from heaven and he found three he found two of wood and three nails and just nailed it down and he said I saved your soul boom like that all God had to do was take three nails and two pieces of wood and the cross set it all you gotta realize that as the power of the Cross it can save to the uttermost you can save your soul from Hell now will you take that there's a big chasm between you and God this big huge chasm is sin and the bottom is hell and you want to find a way to come to God but there was no bridge to cross on God all he had to do was put a cross as your bridge and he said walk across a child believe on it rest on it it'll take you forward it's the miracle of the cross is the power of the cross it is nothing that you and I can do a lot of people they see their crucifixes and they cling on to it and they think that that can bring them peace and that can bring them forgiveness of sins and salvation my friend all it is is just an object the real thing the real person was 2,000 years ago and God wants you to spiritually believe and rest on it but people they want us to cling on to physical things physical objects something that they can see for their salvation it's not something you can see we walk by faith not by sight faith cometh by hearing hearing by the Word of God the just shall live by faith faith salvation by faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ you know what the cross can also do the cross it can also forgive you of all your sin problems you know thank God for the Lord Jesus Christ where his cross can save your soul from hell and if you believe on Jesus Christ it's fixed it is finished you're gonna go to heaven no matter why you're not gonna burn in hell but let's be honest now after you get saved after you believe on Jesus Christ now what do you do you're saved you're going to heaven is that the end well you're going to heaven you're saved but now begins a new life all fellowship this is not salvation salvation is spec simply believing on Jesus Christ but now we're talking about fellowship and that's the majority of people in this room you see majority of people in this room have already been saved because they believed on Jesus Christ but why are they still coming to church why are they dressing right you will notice why do we not have the worldly kind of music like other churches and rock bands do why is it that we focus on holiness something old-fashioned something pure why do we preach against sin why do we bother coming to church because of our fellowship with him we want to have good fellowship with the father because the father loved us so much that he bled and died for us at least I can at least break a little sweat for him when I didn't even shed one drop of blood for him because he is worthy and when we fellowship with our Father let's be honest we still let him down let's be honest is that we're not perfect let's be honest all sinful habits die hard and man we feel grieved on how much we hurt our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and we might remember about that cross where Jesus Christ was beaten and spitting upon for you and I and we might say oh Jesus that was me who did this to you and why am I still sinning against you why am i living my life in sin but you know what that's what forgiveness is for that's what the cross is for the cross is not only available for your salvation the cross is also available for your fellowship 1st John chapter 1 verse 7 if we walk in the light as he is in the light we have fellowship not salvation fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sins 1st John chapter 1 verse 7 and first John chapter 1 verse 9 continues if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness you know what happens when we when we live in sin again we see the beaten face of the Son of God and we feel grieved we feel guilty we feel hurt and say oh I'm sorry Jesus Christ you know what Jesus Christ says didn't use me use the cross let me wash away your sin see that blood pouring down let it not go to waste and you know what Jesus said at the cross of Calvary 2000 years ago hit me harder bring it on I don't care how many seams you commit my blood can wash it all away you let God down over and over again with your sin and can you imagine Jesus 2,000 years ago hit me harder child I'll bleed let me bleed a little longer child and I'll clean it all away and all you have to do man that's why I know most of you do this if you have a conscience if you have the same holy spirit in you if you're safe Christian when you go before the throne of God don't you feel guilty when you bow on your knees and you can say God I'm the pan of this sin I'm sorry wash it away I'm so sorry don't you feel guilty for doing that the hundredth time don't you feel discouraged don't you ever feel like the devil tempting in your ear well you know what don't confess anymore because you did it too many times you're gonna mess up again you're gonna slip up again and you know what don't bother coming to church people already know people already know you're not gonna come back to church people already are gonna look at you funny oh where have you been at church Pete you're gonna let people down pastors disappointed in you that you haven't came to church and you didn't go soul-winning and that you're still living your life in sin and you know what the devil does that to your year and when discouragement and depression seeps up in your heart you know what Jesus Christ says what do you think why do you think I bled and died for you yeah hit me again and his blood can wash away all your sin that doesn't mean that we use this obviously as a cop-out this obviously does not mean that we use this as a cop-out to go to Jesus and say oh god I'm sorry for this sin you want to go out and do it again no God wants a repentant sinner God wants a repentant sinner he wants to see someone getting under conviction feeling guilty who don't who doesn't want to sin against him again so obviously we're not condoning people to commit sin far be it from it you're gonna be in a church where you're gonna feel very uncomfortable about preaching that kicks your sin so don't so don't get uneasy about oh this pastor saying anybody can do whatever they want and their sin no you're in the wrong Church in fact you're not gonna leave this church because pastor condone sin you're gonna leave this church because pastor kicks him soon that's what you're gonna soon find out in this breach amen and you can understand that God he can only forgive and wash away the sin of a person comes to him in repentance but you see God he's he's not going to turn away a repentant sinner you know saying does well I wonder if your repentance is truly repentance you ever got that well you don't really mean that you ever got that that's what Satan does and you know what Jesus Christ once said at the Book of Luke if a someone trespasses against you seven times in the day and seven times in the day says I repent thou shalt forgive can you imagine Jesus Christ doing much more than mankind forgiving sometimes in the day you go before this throne and I think God then no matter how many times I've sinned against it and no matter how many times I repented and confessed that verse says he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and defends us go before it's thrown just get back to church oh it's a hundred things just get back to church Oh pick up your Bible and just read it again well I haven't been reading it for a while and I feel like I'm not gonna read it again tomorrow just pick it up and read it again killing your knees and pray just bypass the sin just confess it again just get back in the sack because Jesus Christ what was the point of the cross what was the point of the blood what was the point of the beating do you want it all go to waste he did it for you out of love so just instead of being discouraged why don't you appreciate what he did for you and accept it with humility and gratitude and say I'm a wretch I don't know why you would do this to me God but I just want to thank you so much and I'm just gonna get back in the saddle the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ forgives you of every sin that you commit in your life thank the Lord Jesus Christ praise God Almighty hallelujah - Jehovah the great I am that I not worthy not only to be saved but to be part of his calling but to also suffer with him you know what the cross is and this is what many people avoid the most it's an opportunity for you to bleed for him it's an opportunity for you to suffer for him it's an opportunity for you to follow behind Jesus Christ when he's carrying his cross he's carrying the cross of all the sins of mankind and here are billions of souls who says let me help you out Jesus carry that cross and Jesus says no you can't carry this cross child you can't carry this cross sinner this is the heavy weight that only I can pay well what can I do there's your cross right there behind you why don't you pick that up oh well I can't do that and you think you can pick up the cross of Jesus isn't that funny isn't that funny when Jesus Christ gives you a cross to carry why don't you go out soul-winning why don't you go try to tell someone how to get saved why don't you go to church why don't you clean up your sin why don't you read your Bible why don't you pray why don't you start abstaining early things in your life why don't you start doing and when God gives you these crosses to carry we all run away from it but then we all crying cry and whine saying I want to work my way to heaven I should get baptized for salvation I should clean up all my sins for salvation I should be a good person to go salvation if you can't live your life as a good Christian there's no way you can be a holy dot for your salvation see if people have a warped twisted mind that is that's drunkenness that's not thinking straight that's the Bible says perfectly about law sinners we are drunk in the night you know what to use Christ wants from you now Jesus Christ he's telling you okay I'm carrying this cross and you're like man Jesus how can you love me that much how can you carry that cross is there anything I can do for you in Jesus Christ says take up your cross and follow me isn't that what he literally said in one verse take up that cross and follow me and I can picture it now Jesus Christ walking up Golgotha this hill every step he takes as a blood track every time his hands clung closer to the cross the blood dripped down his head which was focused on the weight the blood would pour down his forehead and I can picture that and then behind him there are martyrs who bled and died during the Dark Ages who are taking up their cross and following him there are little children who are taking up their little crosses and sacrificing themselves to the world and surrendering to Jesus Christ there are those missionaries who left their homeland and went to a foreign nation to tell people about to get saved they're carrying up their cross for Jesus Christ there are people who sacrifice the world the flesh and all the money and riches to follow Jesus Christ and you see them taking up their crosses and you see a trail a trail of people carrying up their cross church will you be one of them that cross has been on the ground for far too long why don't you pick up that cross as well it's about time don't you think it's about time Jesus Christ he's so far away now so far away don't you think it's about time to pick up your cross and catch up with him don't you want to be the person where Jesus Christ see for all your sin who loved you enough to bear God's wrath that you're standing next to him with your cross and you're saying hey Jesus I'm here hey Lord I'm here I'm a partaker and I joined the Fellowship of your sufferings let's go up together Laurie why don't you take up your cross and follow him he's been so far away from you how how long has it been since you last talked with the Lord since you last saw him since you last communicated with him since you last tried to get in touch with and I totally understand so what I can do is I'll give you the words I'll give you the words on how to say it to God and you can just simply repeat after me now remember this repeating a prayer repeating words does not save you it's believing on what Jesus did for you on the cross I'm just giving you the words so that you know how to say it that's it okay all right I'm going to give you that opportunity and guess what every head is bad every eye is shut no one knows who you are you don't even have to say it out loud alright we're not gonna point out who you are no one knows who you are you can just simply say it to yourself you can repeat after me believe every word you can say it this way dear God I repent as a sinner I believe Jesus is God who died buried and resurrected so his blood can wash away my sin I'm trusting only in the blood alone nothing else I'm not trusting in myself to save me only your blood in Jesus name I pray amen amen if you would all bow your head and
