what's going on guys and welcome back to the next video here on the channel the nasty red is right here and we have just dropped a whole bunch of new stuff on the store hopefully at the time you are seeing this video so definitely check it out guys I know we've been running a little bit behind on new products and new designs on some of our merchandise that we have on the store but we are going to be trying to thoroughly reevaluate how often we drop new products and try to keep that stuff very up to date and very current with lots of fresh and new items for you guys to purchase on the store because we have so many loyal and faithful customers a lot of times we get behind on stuff and there's not always something fresh and new for you guys to buy and we want to try to work on that to make everything as high quality and up to date and refined as we can and we're going to be trying to make those changes here very frequently in weekly hopefully be updating with tons of new products on the site so definitely check out the new website if you have not done so yet I know it looks different but guys it's so much better so much more refined easier navigation all that stuff please let me know what you guys think down in the comment section below if you have any questions or thoughts on the website any ways that we can improve to make the experience better for you but anyways if you want to links are in the description below always download that app because you get exclusive deals bonuses and benefits that you don't always get on the website so definitely stay up to date with that stuff we are going to be doing some improvements here on the wife's truck this truck since we got it a handful months ago we still have not done a full service on it so we're going to try to get on that today and try to do a couple of other small things as well fuel filter oil filter oil change and then we're going to try our best to grease up everything under the truck kind of like what we did with nasty red U-joints anywhere there are grease zerks upper and lower control arms if there are grease desserts anything that has a grease zerk underneath the truck that we can find we are going to be hitting it with a grease gun and trying to make sure that we can keep all those parts to work and last for as long as possible because of course if you don't have grease on a lot of that stuff it does run dry and then Parts wear out and fail much sooner than they need to and so if you just want to Simply extend the life of a lot of that stuff hit it with the grease gun and you'd be amazed how much longer that stuff will last you so we're gonna hop on the truck here head on over the AutoZone and grab stuff to get going [Music] and like we did previously on her truck guys I know the oil coating is messy but if you can fill the inside of the frame the doors the Rockers the cab corners and the rear bed panels if you can coat the inside of that stuff and like with the frame we did the inside and we sprayed the outside of the frame everywhere that we could have mounts underneath filled them in the outside of them if you can spray and coat that stuff you know there's all different ways of doing it not always looked at in a good light it's often frowned upon I understand just be be safe about it be clean about it the best that you can if you need to you know depending on where you live you know um if you're concerned about getting it on your ground and getting into water or anything park the truck over tarp let it sit in your shop or Barn a garage or just out in your drive and drip dry as long as you don't plan on getting a bunch of rain to wash it all off the tarp but if you can oil or transmission fluid coat or whatever like the whole Underside and all that stuff as you just saw in that video like first off it makes it look way better with a fluid film of some sort on that frame and all those panels underneath but also it'll keep it from rusting out if you are in an area where Vehicles don't last that long year round if you drive them that will definitely not completely prevent but mostly prevent a lot of your bad rust the notorious rust areas for sure if you keep that stuff coated up and I don't know if I ever did a video update on how this thing is steering with the new steering stabilizer underneath that heavy duty one from damaging the one that was already on there by accident not paying attention other than the steering wheel needing a small bit of alignment I mean the stabilizer itself doing really good in terms of the feeling when you go to turn and Road feel through your steering dampener stabilizer damper whatever you want to refer to it as it definitely definitely is a huge improvement from that old one even though it was a forced upgrade wasn't really that day uh definitely feels a lot better just like nasty Reds did and I know maintenance and upkeep videos are not always the most viewed ones on the YouTube channel but you guys still get some you know enjoyment out of those a little bit pleasure from watching um do you like seeing any of those things let me know down in the comment section below made it back to the shop space here and we're going to be doing a full service on the white truck we got some Shell Rotella oil they did not have a show Rotella filter to match at the AutoZone I was at in stock so I went with so I went with the premium STP that says it's a 10 000 mile filter although we're probably not ever gonna let the oil change go that far between anyway but that's what they had and I usually try to get with the best one the best ones they offer on the Shelf at the moment and then we went with two heavy duty oil stabilizers from Lucas Oil and then we also did get a grease gun because my other one's acting like garbage I'm not really sure what's wrong with it but it's a real small grease gun I usually just use it on like the mower and ATV or the tractor and stuff but when we were working on ashy red greasing every grease zerk on that thing it just started giving me all kinds of problems and refilling it sucked and it was it's just a small cheaper one and it's just not that fun so I got a bigger it says professional grade I don't I don't really know that much about grease guns all I know is I need one for all the stuff around here and then I got some STP all-purpose grease for that thing as well so we can hit everything on this truck so let's get to it we're going to start by uh greasing up some stuff because the oil is probably still blazing hot in the truck because I just drove it around for probably half an hour and I just shut it off in parts of here in the shop so we're gonna broom out from under the truck a little bit grease a bunch of stuff up and then we're gonna get to draining our oil and proceeding with that process as well got our oil draining I greased all desserts that I could get on this thing up and lowers upper lower ball joints rear drive shaft um and then all the tie rods and ends where there were grease zerks on those as well I got that all done this oil's so so hot it is very very very Loosely coming out because uh it's pretty hot pretty hot so it's not as much of a thick you know tacky texture as it is when it's cold but um it all drains out real nice and the oil is hot I'll tell you that even got a little bit on my camera here now I'm gonna have to clean that up we're gonna let this finish draining out and by time this is done dripping 10 more minutes here just to really let it grip out pull that oil filter off get that all cleaned up put a new one on plug it or me personally I don't do fuel filters every single time I change the oil um I do them more like every other time honestly it's everybody's own preference in terms of Maintenance and what they want to do stage two in the process from where we left off oil filter has been removed as you can see it made an absolute mess and to get to the oil filter I had to remove the air filter which also needs replaced because it's disgusting um and I just essentially had to remove the little band clamp which is right there Loosely and pull that thing off so I can get to the side of the oil filter where I actually had to drill a hole in it and then stick a screwdriver in there and rotate that off to get some grip because although these are supposed to be like snug hand tight they're always either not changed regularly it seems like and so they're like seized down there a little bit or they're way over tightened with like a band wrench or something and people just absolutely crank them on there and then you like cannot get them off and of course I could have used my oil filter wrench had I not lost the second one that I purchased now we're going to be moving over to the fuel filter so the fuel filter is right there and all you got to do there's already a hose ran down to mine and my oil drain pan is already down under there you're gonna take this you're going to give it a spin you're going to see the diesel fuel start to drip out into your catch pan assuming you have it positioned in the right spot and for me I do not have a socket on hand that is the right size I have two that are too big and I have two that are close but they're too small and don't work so I am using my late grandfather's thumb wrench that he left in the door of that truck and the door of his other truck that he had before that he always kept this thumb wrench you can see years of wear on it in the door whatever truck he drove around it's kind of a multi-tool in case he needed something to tighten the bolt or not going down the road at any point so this is always there and uh came in clutch today because it is believe it or not the perfect size when it is completely maxed out opened up to just lock around that which works beautifully out with the old and with the new and of course I mean yes they make all different Brands and grades and quality of fuel filters but I will simply say this doesn't matter what brand you use at least change it because if you don't ever change them they're going to get dirty if you change them regularly or not but they're just going to get extremely bad and they can get bad enough to actually give you some fuel pressure issues if they do not get kept up with so take the time it takes and spend the 10 to 30 bucks depending on what you go with just replace the fuel filter and if you're complaining about the 10 to 30 dollars for the part just think about this it could save you potentially thousands of dollars in engine or mechanical failure because of horrible fuel or fuel pressure Etc fuel system issues and engine issues and injector issues and a lot of that stuff can be not completely eliminated by simply doing this but definitely reduce the likelihood of it happening by simply doing routine maintenance now we're going to be adding our oil in our Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer this is the stuff that's rated for vehicles with over 75 000 miles which of course this truck has 200 000 miles on it what I usually always do I'll usually do 10 quarts of oil whether that's Rotella STP whatever you got whatever you prefer to use and I'll do two quarts of Lucas heavy duty wheel stabilizer and what I'll tend to do is put this stuff down first it's a thicker consistency so what I usually do is just me I put this stuff in first so that hopefully as I'm filling it up with the other oil this stuff can make its way down to the oil pan faster step by time I'm done with this I can still go ahead and start the tracking off to wait a while because whenever I forget put the stuff in the last it's just such a thick consistency that it makes me nervous to just you know as soon as I'm done two minutes later turn the key over and let the truck you know run for a little bit before I check levels do it however you want it but for me personally I like to put stuff in first it doesn't make a difference in terms of the overall outcome it's just peace of mind for me knowing I have more time to make it down into the oil pan while I do the rest of it just for me mentally works better so now what I'm doing is because I did not fill my fuel filter back up with new fuel so I'm doing is completely letting the truck cycle I'm going to do that six times and then I'm going to give the trick a start this is just another way of letting the fuel system you know you can kind of hear it kind of run and feel into the system there and then make sure that that fuel filter Reservoir there is nice and primed up before you start the truck and then it immediately runs out of some fuel in the cycle time for me I just kind of generally do it like I just turn the key and then once I see that engine light flashing you know I just give that my go-ahead in terms of when it's done cycling through whatever it needs to foreign fuel mixture so you're not getting a lot of diesel fuel in it but I keep all the oil that I take out of the trucks I keep all the oil from all my trucks and then I use it for my undercoating my fluid film coating to keep them from rusting out but on top of that when I do my oil filter change I'll put that oil pan with all that old oil right underneath there so that way all that diesel fuel that's inside that canister for your fuel filter can drain right down into the oil just kind of let it mix with the oil it's not a lot but it's enough that you know it's not going to hurt anything but you can also just use that as a little bit of your diesel fuel mixture for when you're going to do your fuel and oil make sure to undercoat your truck like I said in the previous videos don't use if you do an oil fuel mixture you don't have to even do that but if you do only use diesel for that kind of stuff and don't get it all over your exhaust and stuff don't get on anything that gets hot because you don't want to take the chance of anything catching on fire but for the most part if you do all your undercoating even with a little bit of decent Fuel and oil and you let it sit for a couple of days in the yard or with a tarp under it or whatever just to kind of catch some of the mess it's not really going to hurt anything and all I do for a little good measure I took that yellow valve now that I cycled the truck five times and I just slowly cracked it a little bit to see if fuel sprayed out the bottom while it was cycling and I cracked it just a little bit while the key was cycling and you can see if you'll shoot enough hose down there so all that being said I'm gonna cycle it one more time just in case I let any air into there but other than that um she should be all primed up and ready to fire now I'm gonna pop the hood I got a couple of other things I want to do on this truck because if we're going to do the job we got to do the job right so we're going to detail this truck up again best we can I'm not going to do a whole big crazy deal about it but I do have some engine bay Degreaser and I'm going to spray this whole thing down for the most part other than me running it the last five minutes to cycle the oil through and check levels this thing hasn't been running now for a couple of hours so it's for the most part cooled down coolant temps are reading that it really has any warmed up yet for the most part so I'm going to be engine bay degreasing the whole thing giving it a light rinse and then I'm going to be giving this thing a quick wash spraying it down mopping it down with a new microfiber mop we have for this thing and the other trucks as well we're going to just Swap this thing down give it a rinse clean the wheels clean the tires show you guys a little before and after [Music] thank you [Music] [Applause] [Music] I did the best that I could but it is already to that time of year where it's 90 plus degrees some days and it is very difficult to keep this I don't know if it's our water or what I'm guessing it's just being in the sun in general it is so hard to clean a tree I can keep it from spotting up and getting all swirly looking from the soap and stuff like when it is that hot and the paint gets that hot like I'm trying to like get a panel kind of wet so I can dry it and keep the streaks off and then it's like panel by panel because like if I do even just one whole side to the whole side of the truck wet and try to dry it by time I get through half of it it's already all spotted and streaked up and there's all the moisture is already dried up on the truck so it just makes it a real real pain in the butt the windshield looks like it's technically clean but it looks worse than it did when I started just because of the sunlight and the side windows aren't that bad because the sun's not hitting this side of the truck so it turned out a little better rear end cleaned up nice got all the oil streaks off from all the oil dripping out of the tailgate this side turned out pretty good just the glass turned out awful it's too much heat just way too much heat and I can't get it dry fast enough tried it a couple times now and that's as good as I can get it I mean it just keeps messing up everything so for now that's the result and then we got the nasty red here and you can enter to win right now hopefully that video turned out decent for you guys I was filming solo and it is super hot out so it's kind of a pain in the butt especially trying to wash that Trek towards the end working in the shop it's one of those deals where I'm like I want to get video and then I'm like it's so hot I just wanted to get stuff done and get back inside as well if you want to enter to win nasty red giveaway for this truck ends June 25th and if you want to get our best bonuses live right now right now every one dollar is
