Hey guys, Kei from Asian Boss. So we find that Asian men tend to be perceived
as famine in Western culture. We wanted to see if this is true. Let's find
out. So just hold this for me. I'm gonna show a series of pictures of 5 different
Japanese men. I want you to tell me your impression in terms
of their masculinity. OK? OK. On a scale of 1 to 10, of masculinity being
like 10 and feminine being 1, I'd say maybe 3. That's not you, is it? No, it's not me. Are you telling me I'm feminine? No, No, you are good looking and he's good
looking but... I actually wouldn't be sure if he was a girl
or guy to be honest if I saw this picture and I didn't know. And not sexy, I'd say. Looks like a girl. Looks like a girl? Yeah. 100%. Too much eyeliner. Too much eyeliner? The hair is too styled. Where are you guys from by the way? Liverpool. In England. Where are you guys from? Germany. Alrighty, let's go to guy number 2. What about
this guy? Why do they all have long hair? It's not my type either but A little more masculine than the last guy. These are all boys, yeah? Yeah, that's right. Yeah, he looks pretty feminine as well. He's
got a really nice bone structure. Guy number 3? He looks a bit feminine. Yeah. I think it's the long hair. Yeah, still very feminine. Right. And I'm not gonna say gay but You just did. I like your facial expressions. You can see he's a boy. Like a boy? Like a boy. Not a man. No still not masculine. Like, he doesn't look
feminine but I wouldn't say masculine. More masculine than last 2 guys. He seems like, I don't know, a gay maybe. So the fourth guy. Ok, that's very 21st century I'm going with. I don't mind that hair. He looks much more manlier than the others. He definitely looks masculine. Because of
his beard. And he's got short hair. He's got more facial hair, doesn't he? So
he's kind of pulling off that rugged man looks. Don't think that one's that bad. I think that
one's the most masculine one. Yeah, he's alright. Looks like a normal guy. At least better than the all of them. Number 5. Not at all. Not masculine. He looks quite feminine. Yeah, I think he looks quite feminine. Definitely not masculine. Yeah, very feminine. Very girly. Yeah. He looks gay. Why do you think they actually look feminine? I wouldn't want make up on. Yeah, I wouldn't definitely put eyeliner on. I'd say that's because they look like they
took some time to get ready. So for example, they put more wax in their
hair, more gel than what the typical average male would. Not just Japanese men but Asian men in particular
are very good dressers. They always look immaculate. Because also here, like dyed hair you can
see. So dyed hair, too. It must be the style over there, isn't it? It's just that's how everyone looks over there or? We've seen Korean movies though, and they
all have hair like that. I've seen some J-pop and K-pop and that sort
of stuff, and I've noticed that all the guys wear a lot of make up and they look really
feminine. Would you feel attracted to these type of
guys? Honestly, probably no. Like, they can't be
prettier than me. Which one was the most attractive? Yeah, I'd go with that one. The fourth one. Yeah. I'd go for the one before this one. So this
guy number 4, so this guy here. Both of you, or what do you think? Yes, I'll go with the same guy. This one. So the fourth guy. This guy? Yeah. They are actually all famous guys in Japan. Ok, are they straight or gay? Are they straight or gay? They are all straight. To be fair, it does depend on the particular
photos which I've shown but that doesn't mean they feminine, like, in real life. Having said that, there is a clear difference
between how Asian men are perceived in Asian culture and Western culture. Hope you found that interesting. Thanks for
watching guys and subscribe to our channel. See you next time.
People have short memory; Hair bands of the 80s and the emo musicians of the early 2000s were no different. In the 90s they went the total opposite with the HOMELESS look of Grunge. Don't like these interview fool you. If it's not working and making tons of money, these feminine persona wouldn't exists. I can't stand country music, but I think as far as masculine is concern, country musicians have been consistent. Gangsta Rap is way too masculine.
In other words, tending to your appearance and caring about fashion is gay because why else would men possibly care about those things.
Terrific logic.
lol. This whole skit would work better if they didn't choose a quasi-Asian passing hapa with long hair to ask Western women those questions about masculinity using pics of full Asians with long hair.
Half of them were looking specifically at him when making remarks about 'long hair' and 'not attractive' as if they were basically sending him a message, like "ok dude I don't find you attractive ok?". One even asked if the picture shown was himself. Total fail.
It made the women being interviewed question whether this whole skit was some kind of come-on/pickup-artist thing by this dude and get mildly creeped/reserved and not give unfiltered answers. You want unfiltered answers with these sorts of things, so they should have gotten a white or Asian woman to do the questioning instead, especially when questions concern male attractiveness. Even if the women being interviewed answered honestly, at least a woman interviewing them would have been less creepy. Girl to girl talk is easier than girl to guy talk, and less awkward.
Plus, I have to stress again, the fact this hapa is basically quasi-Asian passing and has long hair as well, and all his pics are of full Asians with long hair - sets up a really awkward environment that will make anyone question his motives and wonder if this thing is a pickup artist skit.
Asian Boss is bullshit and wouldn't be shit without early days rhapas. Ever notice all the Asian channels popping up feeling comfortable discussing Asian issues only after rhapas early era.
I've always found Asian males to be the most attractive on average. I don't get why people dislike them so much. The celebs here are beautiful
