34. my behind hello everybody and welcome back to my channel i hope you are having a lovely wonderful fantastic day today we are going to be doing the third installment of the pr versus paid for be the third pr versus paid for unboxing that i have done i've also mentioned that i really don't get any other boxes in pr so i kind of can't expand this um but what are words i really can't expand much upon this because i don't really get many other skip skip chicken boxes i wonder why i wonder why i don't really get any other subscription boxes through pr so i can't necessarily compare them to the ones i purchased because i don't get them through pr but thankfully boxycharm has 7 billion different types of boxes more specifically they have three different types of boxes the regular the lux and the premium so today we are going to be completing the trifecta of unboxing those boxes and comparing them to their pr versions which uh right off the bat i'm seeing some differences there are some pretty uh stark differences between these two the top one here in the black box is the one that i purchased by myself and this one down here is one that i was sent through pr so this should be an interesting comparison let me know down below if anybody else got a purchase box that came in a white box like that i'll be very interested in knowing that i think i'm going to start with the paid for box first and of course like before with the other versions of this video we are going to open these up and compare and see if they are sending influencers better stuff than they are just like regular members which would be very not nice of them so i hope that's not the case on top here we have the little card that comes the box tells us the theme and everything inside this theme is lucky because it is march and st patrick's day okay so hopefully we do get some pretty lucky stuff with this box let's dig on into oh eggs i got really excited okay that's not the first thing we're taking out because i already have the first item in my hand here it looks like we're starting off with an eyeshadow palette this is the barbarella eyeshadow palette and this is by b beauty london can't say i've ever heard of that brand before jet milled color what i mean by jet mild the very first thing i thought of was like an airplane chopping up eyeshadow based on the outer packaging here it looks like we have kind of a neon sign going on so i'm kind of hoping for some fun neon colors or you know just one is that'll do i mean just the outside it's like black and neon looking and then you flip it on the inside and i don't know if i've ever seen like a more age eyeshadow palette in my life with just one blue what that's they're all hugh lewis they're all named after random men strange eyeshadow palette okay anyway so here's the eyeshadow palette um i have to say just not exciting uh it really doesn't make me want to like dive in and play with it or anything i'm not that one blue was really freaking me out for some reason i don't know what barbarella means maybe that has some connection to these random people's names okay so i just kind of swatched two random colors here i introduce you to hugh and this one up here is louis uh not terribly blown away by the swatches i do think lewis swatched a lot better very creamy and it has a bit more pigment and shine but like i just i don't i don't know this is a very confusing palette to me confusing that's how confused i am it's confusing intense saturated color there's basically no color in here half of these are beige i don't i'm okay anyway maybe not off to the best start let's go on to what i was really excited about which is some eggs i am the world's biggest sucker when it comes to packaging and marketing you can give me all day long with some cutesy egg carton thing i don't even know what it is i mean they're just regular little sponges but the fact that they're an egg carton makes them so cute also you get six of them which is really nice oh honestly these have a really nice feel to them they have a little bit of like a siliconey feel to the outside but they're nice and spongy granted they are sponges but they do have that like nice spongy texture i feel like these would be really nice when wet okie dokie the next thing in here is from glow recipe this is the plum plum oh that says plum plump which is honestly more fun to say than plum plum um this is a hyaluronic serum everything i've been seeing recently has had hyaluronic acid in it it's ev literally everything um but this one is a plum hyaluronic serum oh cute this is an adorable bottle oh i love that oh my gosh it's shaped like a plum it just tattoo sucker across my forehead this is if there's a little like indention in the side of it and i'm like it's a plum i was hoping it would smell a little bit fruity but honestly all i get is kind of like a serum scent from it but still super adorable so that's a win all right the next thing you have in here is a rose plus quartz hair mask i'm always a little bit nervous about putting things on my hair but since this is a mask and i could just put it on like the lower portions and it is for dry hair which like i mean alrighty the next thing we have in here is from dominique cosmetics i've received a few things from them before in the past i think i have pretty good quality this is the creamy fill and define lip liner i heard noise what was that oh it's just rain that's good that's good not an intruder just a cute boy hello boy oh i have towels in here now okay i'm not gonna make the same mistake i did last time when i had a mirror and a product that i got in a box but i instead use the knife to apply um makeup that i mirror the color this looks really nice definitely something i would typically wear oh i actually like this more than what i was wearing on my lips previously it has more of like a little bit of like a brownish like dustiness to it oh you're shiny what are you okay so the next one we have in here is from a in h this is the kiss the stars 24k gold lip plumping mask it is very gold there's like some large glitter hunks of stars in there like pretty big ones i guess i'm going to test this too maybe i can do the rest of this unboxing with a slip mask on oh pretty oh well isn't this a look i mean you know if the look you're going for is like i i really went ham on like a hot dog with a lot of mustard on it um but there are like big glitter hunks in it and it's definitely tingling quite a bit yeah the glitter star oh there's definitely glitter in my mouth oh there's so much glitter in my mouth it's all my teeth okay that was fun why it lasted i'm gonna go ahead and wipe this off okay you know what it tingles quite a bit but i do actually feel like my lips are a little bit plumped i don't know if it's because they're already extremely chapped and then i like wiped off several different lip products but uh yeah they they do feel a little bit more plumpy okay moving on the next thing we have in here is from fenty beauty that's always nice this is the pro filter soft matte oh foundation it's a long wear foundation i have never tried the fenty beauty foundation i feel like i've heard a lot of people say that this is like extremely matte which might not be fantastic for my skin because i do get really dry especially like in my cheek areas and around my nose i got mine in the shade 150 and honestly through the frosted glass it looks like a pretty close match for me but i really don't think i would be able to wear this just because my skin is so severely dry on my cheeks um so i might look into this a little bit to see how it does work with dry skin and then if i can't wear it i don't want to really try it or test it out or swatch it or anything so i can go ahead and pass this along to somebody else and then the last thing we have in here is a little heat brush uh this looks pretty cute this is from soleil let your hair shine oh this is precious this is so little so this is a mini heat brush and i'm assuming it's you know one of those things where you can just like brush through ow bristles are a little um rough or you can just like brush through your hair and like straighten it at the same time i don't straighten my hair anymore i just kind of blow dry it straight my hair is just way too thin and fine to really use too many like heat tools on it this is something that i'm sure i can find another home for but yeah it was nice to get it in this box all right you guys let's go ahead and get some full-size prices here so we can see the total value for this box oh no no no no no no no no no not buying it you shouldn't either no no the barbarella palette they are saying is a 50 eyeshadow palette no i typically don't get like too like aggressive about these things but no the colors in here they're nothing special literally at all i've never seen a more confusing looking palette and nothing makes sense the outer packaging it's in a cardboard packaging the colors don't swatch fantastically from the couple i tried there's just nothing revolutionary in here all of these will probably look pretty much the same on the eye no 50 no don't do that uh the glow recipe plum plump hyaluronic serum is forty two dollars fenty beauty pro filter foundations 36 rose quartz hair mask is thirty there you go the solely hair tool the mini hair brush where i'm like i'm sure somebody else might want this it's a hundred and fifty dollars or a little hair brush that heats up the beauty bakery blending eggs are eighteen dollars the dominique cosmetics lip thingy is eighteen dollars and the oh the lip stuff is 42. wow okay so this has to be a pretty valuable box mainly because of that hair brush which is a lot of money for a hair brush okay so i got a total retail value of 387 for this box we got some good stuff from some well-known brands in here i mean we also got some other things um that brush is incredibly expensive that must be another good brand as well i really don't know much about hair care things but uh yeah i thought this was a pretty decent box we got several makeup items several really not sure why it's so very different to the purchase box let me know if you guys received a similar box to this i'm very curious oh that's adorable on the side here in the cardboard there's some little cutouts in our hearts how cute is that again we have the little card here they'll tell us everything inside the box and the very first thing i'm seeing on the top here is my daily dose of glow an illuminating and brightening thing i thought that said a cocktail of cholera i don't know why that was the first thing my brain went to i was like oh that doesn't sound good uh vitamin a and hyaluronic acid yet again encapsulated serums from japan ooh it looks like it has um one of those little frozen beads of ice cream which were never better than regular ice cream but everybody like flipped out over fund it from your fun i don't know the grosser version of ice cream anyway it looks like it has those little beads in it it does look like a very nice serum i wonder if it has a smell not really dippin dots oh barbarella oh there she is we have yet another barbaria palette maybe maybe the first one was like a fluke and they intended to put those in a different palette something like the beige palette um let's just take a peek oh nope still the same still just beige still fifty dollars i'm sure we have another repeat product here from dominique cosmetics in the same shade oh and look at that we got more eggs you can never have too many eggs and yet another repeat product here we have another 24 karat gold lip plumping mask oh my gosh and another vp product okay we have the glow recipe plum plump hyaluronic serum so that makes up most everything in here is a repeat product with the exception of three so let's get into the next two non repeats next up in here we have the eloise mini teardrop brush apparently this is the first ever brush to be made in this style it's unique in its own right and it's patent protected this looks very fancy this um like that maybe this is a very very fancy brush so i guess you're supposed to hold it like this if it's in the palm of your hand and then you apply it like that it reminds me of those artis brushes which were like a big deal a little while ago it's incredibly soft and super super dense and it is pretty it's a little weird looking on the top but it is pretty comes in a very fancy little box uh yeah that's nice and then the last thing in here we have some other type of tulle it looks like this is g by jen aro oh it's a makeup holder okay okay so um this is the makeup holder it's kind of like a plastic box it's white and it has little like inference on it feels very lightweight and not necessarily maybe the greatest quality plus like the things that are stuck on to it you can tell they're like transfers and i don't know they just look a little bit like clip arty maybe i don't know this this to me personally isn't thirty four dollars my behind it says thirty four dollars on the back of this little thing here absolutely not this is like if you saw this at the dollar general this might be like 3.99 but 34 dollars no no no this and that barbarian palette are criminally overpriced also like these are not centered why are these not centered i don't know if you guys can see what i mean here but each of these are equal sections and like lips is not centered in there and neither is eyes i'm a little bit upset by this okay so that's the last thing in that box all right so that's everything in the pr box i'll get you guys some prices most of these you've already heard the barbarial pills fifty dollars hello recipe 42 skin ink daily dose of glow is 65. eloise beauty that palm brush is 45. that makeup brush holder is 34. the eggs are 18 dominic cosmetics 18 and then the lip stuff is 42 so i think this is gonna have a much lower price point than the last box okay so this one has a price point of 314 which is definitely lower than the first box that we opened but most of the value from the first box did come from that heat brush however i still think the items in the first box were much better than the ones in this box i honestly can't get over this little thing being 34. that's almost as offensive as that barbarella palette being 50. actually no it's more offensive i'm more offended by this no like this little plastic box here you can literally buy stuff like this at the dollar store the fact that there's like little misprinted stuff on the front of it here should not make it 33 dollars more valuable all right you guys well i definitely think for this one especially i don't think influencers are getting any type of preferential treatment that box was not very good at least in comparison to the first box i think the first box was really nice i mean this box it does have a 314 value but there's just something about it that it just it really doesn't compare to the first box so i think my pay for box was definitely better than my scent for free box let me know what you guys
