DND Base and Top Ultimate Review!

what's up everyone it is back to your natural nail guru and today I have another basin top coat ultimate reveal [Music] so alright everyone this week I tried out the DMD brand which I'm really excited to get to the results but before we do that let's go over a little bit about the brand it's definitely been an up-and-coming brand it started in I think 2012 I've been using the brand since about 2017 I love their colors and have a great variation the hands and feet it's really consistent and matching which is really important for me and it has a really great price point it's like eight dollars per pair which is super cheap compared to a lot of the other colors that I buy I think honestly probably the cheapest gel color that I've bought so it's really really nice price point and overall really great quality that I've seen in the colors that I've selected a new strip so I'm really excited to do this review I really want to see how it holds up I've had great experiences with the color quality so far such great variety great match great price point and I really wanted to see how the durability is going to be with the base and top coat and if it holds up to my standards and you know how it compares to all these other top brands that are out there now let's recap what it is that I'm looking for so first thing is pricing is it really expensive or is it really great quality and affordable the second thing is first impressions and in this I'm really looking at overall consistency is it easy to work with or a little bit too thin or too thick and overall shine am I getting it really a nice shine once I'm done now whether or not I need a wipe the top coat really doesn't make a difference to me it's not a make or break but it's definitely a little bonus if it's great quality super cheap and I don't have to wipe anything once the top coats on there next few things I'm looking for are the wear so after two weeks what's the durability like is it lifting is it chipping is it cracking what about the stain resistance is it staying resistant or does it get stained and if it does get stains is it a little bit or is it a lot of it how does this shine look after two weeks does it doler is still looking really nice and shiny and glossy like it did on day one and does the brand to polish affect those outcomes at all so let's get to it alright guys so we're gonna be trying the DND polish today further base and top coat and in this recording I'm really just looking for first impressions which are really just consistency of the gel is it runny is it thick and how the colored gel actually works with it so I'm gonna be pairing this up with an OPI color I'm trying out these base and top foods with different brands of polishes because I don't know about anyone else but I have lots of different brands that I use in the shop and I need to make sure that my base and topcoat is working with all of them so first thing I notice is their base coat actually has a full sized brush I'm so used to jela SH that has a very very short brush since the base coat should be applied very thinly but let's see how this one works [Music] all right definitely notice the consistency on this base code is a little thinner than I'm used to but I'm not getting any running into the edges definitely just want to make sure I think I touched this one let me touch it definitely just want to make sure that you're applying thin coats but it's looking good all right put that one in and as with all my testing I compare it with what I'm always using and no works awesome is my jealous we need to have that control so we have a good comparison in the manicure when we're comparing the different brands all right so let's see how the color goes on sometimes with some base coats and sometimes even with some just color polishes in general you'll get almost like if the polish around the edges starts receding and starts collecting towards the middle which you can definitely work with it's not the end of the world and I've never had an issue with the wearability of Polish when that does happen but it is a little bit of annoying for people who are kind of OCD and perfectionist [Music] and hopefully finished your second code and did some cute little art so now we're going to go ahead and apply the top coat and again I'm just looking first impressions how it applies is it running Prussia's a little curved kind of like the jealous brushes [Music] [Music] overall it looks perfect on day one the consistency was really great no issues with color polish it's nice and shiny and a bonus and it is a no cleanser topcoat so we didn't have to wipe anything but it's looking really really nice the next manicure I did was using a DND color also perfect on day one and the third manicure was using a perfect match color also perfect for day one now these ladies definitely wore their manis out for the two weeks those are the hands of a nurse an on-the-go businesswoman and an entrepreneur single mom with three children so we definitely did not cut any corners or give this review any kind of breaks we put it through the ultimate test I want to see what this durability can really do so let's see which brand was the champion in this dandy verse jealous battle mani number one my entrepreneur mom had a perfect wear for two weeks no lifting no cracking on either side but dandy came through with no stains while jela had gone in pretty discolored now this client actually comes in every four weeks so here is her stain manicure after another two weeks held up like my trusty jealous and still no stains I was super impressed with this and was really excited to see how she was gonna fare knowing that she always wears it for four weeks but I was super happy to see that the DND totally came through and a little bit better because it still looks super pretty no stains no discoloring so really awesome really awesome first impression on that now mani number two this is my career woman she also had a perfect wear no lifting no cracks and no stains on the DND verse pretty heavy stains on the jealous I'm probably already dusted perfect we're on manicure number three my nurse I was surprised that she has no stains considering her work habits but there was really no stains across the board and that just depends on each person I have plenty of clients that don't get any stains regardless of the top coats that I've used on them but this one looks really good and if I had to still pick a winner the DND side does look a little bit brighter a little bit shinier compared to the jelly and that's if we're being nitpicky just because we need to have a winner but I definitely say that dandy came through on this one a little bit better than jealous so as you guys can see dandy killed it with this review overall for the price point as we discussed was already on the lowest end of that totem pole so really great that I think there had an awesome first impression no issues with consistency no run eNOS nice and shiny plus it had no wipe on the tom coat which again is not a decider but definitely a bonus plus to put in there it definitely came through on durability even after four weeks so that was probably the one thing that I was really most impressed with with this brand no stains it was still shiny and it didn't seem that the brand of color made any difference whatsoever in the outcomes of these manicures like truly a hundred percent across the board so D&D is definitely a champion without a doubt and I can't wait to take this testing to the next level but a little bit more on that later on for now I still have lots more reviews that I'm getting done and working on currently but make sure if you guys liked this review and you like the
