hello how are you doing my name is  Otto and welcome back to another video if you're thinking about buying the  DJI POCKET 2 or the GoPro Hero 11 and you're not really sure  which one is better for you in this video I want to talk  about these two great cameras the DJI POCKET 2 is this small device  that has a small camera on a 3-axis gimbal this is a mechanical gimbal and  it helps the camera to stay stable and it does an amazing job the GoPro Hero 11 doesn't need a gimbal  because it has what they call HYPERSMOOTH 5.0 this is an electronic  stabilization which is really good and the GoPro 11 also has a horizon level feature that will keep your video straight even if you're  tilting the camera to the left or the right combining HYPERSMOOTH with horizon  level is a great combination and it really makes you feel like  you're using the camera on a gimbal without using a gimbal the only problem with the stabilization on the  GoPro 11 is that when there isn't enough light the stabilization seems to have  some small vibration glitch effect which in my opinion doesn't look any good and this happens because the  stabilization needs higher shutter speeds the gimbal on the POCKET 2 will not have  this problem because it doesn't depend on the shutter speed so it feels way more  reliable than the GoPro in almost any situation the camera sensor on the DJI POCKET 2 is a  tiny bit larger than the one on the GoPro 11 but I think that these two cameras  can produce great quality videos on both devices you can record  using a flat color profile which you can use to color grade later in post but straight out of the camera I like  the color profile of the POCKET 2 more than the one on the GoPro 11 but the GoPro 11 has a few features  that the POCKET 2 doesn't have for example the GoPro 11 can shoot in 10-bit color and the POCKET 2 only has the traditional  8-bit color that most cameras have in terms of video resolution the new GoPro 11  can shoot at 5.3K up to 60 frames per second 4K up to 120 frames per second  and for super slow motion you can shoot at 240 frames per second at 2.7 K those are big numbers compared to the POCKET 2 which has a maximum video resolution  of 4K up to 60 frames per second and if you want to shoot the slow  motion at 120 or 240 frames per second it can only be done at 1080P and you will notice  a big difference in the quality of the video something else that caught my attention  is that the GoPro 11 now has a new sensor that allows shooting in an 8 to 7 aspect ratio this makes it easier to crop and  reframe your video later in post to horizontal or vertical mode making it  useful for platforms like Tik Tok, Instagram and so on but those videos are still going to  be useful for platforms like YouTube for example Now, using this aspect ratio  does have a few limitations for example you can't use horizon  level or 120 frames per second the GoPro 11 ships with their new high  performance battery called Enduro battery and it has a battery life of around  60 to 80 minutes shooting at 4K the battery life on the POCKET  2 will last for almost 2 hours but the downside is that the battery is  not replaceable like on the GoPro 11. batteries for the GoPro 11 are not expensive,  they sell for around 20 to 25 dollars making them an easy option to  keep filming videos for many hours if buying extra batteries is not what you  want it is possible to charge both cameras with something like a power bank  and use them at the same time one of the biggest advantages of the  POCKET 2 that the GoPro doesn't have is that it has active tracking and this  will let you track or follow a subject or even some kind of object and this  is super helpful in many situations it's a great feature to have  for B-ROLL, vlogging and so on low light performance is  not great on these devices and I wouldn't push the ISO too much  if you want less noise in your videos you can still get some  decent videos under low light and depending on the situation and the settings  I was actually surprised on many occasions overheating is one of the biggest concerns  when it comes to these kind of cameras the GoPro 11 will overheat and  stop recording at some point using higher resolutions and frame rates for example, mine overheats at around 45  minutes shooting at 4K at 60 frames per second the DJI POCKET 2 does get  hot but it never overheated even when I was using it at  4K at 60 frames per second choosing one camera or the  other will depend on your needs and what matters to you the most I feel that these two cameras are great  for general videos and for travel videos especially because of their size  and for what they have to offer and they are also great for vlogging the GoPro 11 has a front facing screen and the camera of the POCKET  2 can turn around to face you one thing that people don't like about  POCKET 2 is that the screen is too small specially if you compare it  to the screen on the GoPro 11 and let's not forget that the  GoPro is waterproof up to 10 meters and the DJI POCKET 2 is not waterproof I hope that this video has been useful the links to all the products are  going to be in the video description please give this video a like,  leave me a comment down below I hope you're having an amazing day and I  hope hope to see you in the next video, bye
