DIY clock with TFT Display and Arduino

[Music] hello everyone recently i was working on a project which was based on st 7789 tft display while working i found a very good library example this library example is for creating clock with st7789t display so in this video i'll show you how to create this tft clock and how was my experience this tft display uses spi interface and it's provides very good color quality moreover this display doesn't cost much it costs about three to four dollars to control this display i'm using arduino nano however to create a complete clock rtc module is required our clock can operate without any rtc module but it cannot keep the track of time when arduino is off rtc module helps to keep the track of time when arduino is off however i was unable to get an rtc module because of corona virus effect so i'm creating this clog without any rtc module later i'll add one this is the circuit diagram i'll connect everything by following this diagram [Music] [Music] after connecting everything i'll connect the arduino for programming now i'll open the arduino ide software for programming i'll upload a sketch named st7789 watch 2-bit from a library named arduino st 7789 fast master install this library if you don't have installed it yet there is a link provided in the video description for this library [Music] there are six skins available for the tft clock i'm using this one for now [Music] now i'll upload the sketch to arduino [Music] [Music] seems like everything is working perfectly and the time was taken from the computer automatically [Music] now instead of using arduino nano i'll use arduino pro mini to make this project compact [Music] i will connect the display exactly as i connected it to the arduino nano [Music] [Music] [Music] after connecting the display with arduino i'll attach the arduino underneath the display using double-sided foam tape then i'll program the arduino pro mini arduino nano can be used to program the arduino pro mini or we can simply use usb to ttl serial adapter [Music] [Music] now i'll connect it to my mini power bank for testing [Music] looks like everything is working perfectly thank you for watching stay innovative [Music]
