Hello everyone, welcome back to Shanti Irene, I am Irene, and today I come again with the Recreating section that you like so much this time we are going to make some Anthropologie baskets that you have surely seen a lot of times on Pinterest its original price is of 160 euros each and I will make both for 3 euros, which is what the cotton thread cost me, the rest is all recycled . Do you want to see how I made them? join me The main material will be cardboard and kraft paper. I got all this from an Ikea order, do you remember? I only had to buy cotton thread, 3mm for the two baskets I spent approximately 120 meters in total it cost me about 3 euros I also used jute cord, about 2mm. This only for the second basket also we will use hot silicone, white glue, scissors, a crochet needle and a wool needle here we have the cardboard and the first thing I will do is cut a round shape with the help of this other basket my circle It measures 30 centimeters and is already cut, Tolstoy has thought that it is a good idea to sit down and rest there now I will cut a rectangle to make the shape of a cylinder I decided that my basket will have a height of 39 cm, and therefore that is the width of the rectangle once it is cutting out I am bending it little by little to give it a round shape now we will assemble everything by gluing it with hot silicone the base is already glued and now I will also glue the side as you can see I have left the cardboard a little overlapped I will put a lot of silicone both outside and inside finally I turn it over and also glue the base very well on the outside we already have the structure of the basket, now we are going to cover it I have cut the kraft paper in strips and now I will roll them one by one I already have a few churros made, it is not necessary to make them very perfect, because as we stick them we can roll them but it does help that they already have a little shape as you can see I am already putting the hot silicone and thus I will glue all of them One by one at the beginning he was rolling them in a very irregular way because I thought that everything would be more natural but when I finished the work I realized that the churros were better tighter at least for my taste later we will see the difference and how I fixed it Let's not forget also to put on the top so that nothing of cardboard can be seen I finished covering and everything, and you can see a difference between the last ones that I placed and the first ones at the beginning I made them more irregular, but it has I liked the last part more so I am going to make more churros, this time tighter and I will cover the entire bottom part again now I will line the inside of the basket as most likely I will use it as a planter. To put a plastic but another option would be to place a cloth on it. I am going to take it out of a large garbage bag, I am going to cut it and adapt it to the basket. Tolstoy has decided that he will do it himself and voila, here it is already placed, now I will fold the edge inwards and glue everything to the cardboard with white glue to finish it well, I have cut out a wide strip of kraft paper and I will glue this on top I will finish finishing it later, now we are going to make the handles for each handle I have taken three strips of paper and I have braided them but they will not stay like that, this will only be the base I have marked where I am going to make the holes, where I will pass I have logically made the braids two and two on each side now I am making them a little bigger so that the braid passes well with the silicone I will glue everything well from behind and then I will cut what is left over I will also glue them well on the outside, so that it remains very firm and now I will put another layer of paper inside to cover everything well it is time to decorate the basket all this part here will be covered with cotton thread. I will use this one of about 3 mm to make it more beautiful I will crochet a chain if you do not want to do this, you can braid it or use a thicker rope and put it directly to make the chain, I will use this 6.5 mm hook I already have the Chain made and I'm going to start gluing it just behind the handle so that that part is very well covered, I will surround the entire edge of the basket and once I get to the beginning I glue it well to the first chain then I turn it over to continue skirting the basket, this time in front of the handle in that area I make sure that everything is tight so that nothing of paper is seen and thus we will continue skirting the top of the basket I gave it ten laps, 7.5 centimeters of wide and my basket is 39 cm high when I reach the end I hide the thread under the chains so it stays . I advise you not to put a lot of silicone in the last chain because now we are going to hang other ropes from there now we are going to finish the handles for this I am going to make more crochet chain and I will wrap it well all over the paper as you can see I did not cut the thread of the ball, because since I did not know the exact length that I would need, I was knitting more as I needed once finished, with the wool needle, I insert the thread inside the entire fabric and thus we leave our handles super well finished, the time has come to To make the macramé with the same thread I have cut 120 cm strips but they turned out to be very long with the height of my baskets being 39 cm, I think that with about 90 cm these ropes would be enough we fold them in half to make the lark knot It is a super simple knot, the rope is bent in half and in this way we introduce it through one of the links of the chain , hence the importance of not having put too much glue in that area, we introduce the ends of The rope inside the ring that has remained, and it is between knot and knot I have left an empty chain of separation and thus I have placed a total of 12 ropes I have left them well centered between the two handles now we simply tie the ropes two at a time two, in the following way we are doing it taking care that the triangles are all the same size as you can see around here the rope is loosening because I had not put much glue, but nothing happens, when I finish everything I will paste it again we will do the same in the row below, but leaving the first two strings loose and so we continue everything until we have the shape of a perfect triangle as you can see the strings were very long, now we would have to glue it to the base of the basket and cut what spare but first I will glue this chain well so that everything is very firm and now we glue the strings to the base so that they are tight and straight to finish I have decided to finish the inside of the top With one more chain I already have the structure made with the cardboard, the same as I did before, this time it is a little smaller, it is 32 cm high and the base 27 cm, the next thing I did was to cover it with the paper churros, as before it is already almost everything but I have left a free piece to place the handles as before I made some braids with three strips of paper, I pierce the cardboard and through there I insert the braids then I glue them very well with silicone both inside and outside then I finish lining the basket with the paper churros now with the jute rope I will make a crochet chain and with this I will line the handles we are going to start with the macramé, I will use the same cotton rope as before and I will help myself with a wool needle With the same needle I pierce the cardboard it is very easy, I pass all the thread and tie a knot at the end, I stretch it well and insert it from the bottom with an inclination so I will continue sewing the strings leaving a few centimeters of separation between each one. this design has a total of 6 strings, 3 will go to the right and 3 to the left intertwining in the middle the result is two opposite triangles we will make the same design in repetition but the next one will be intertwined with the previous one and so on we will achieve this starting to sew from the second string of the triangle that is already made, either from the top or from the bottom in this case I start at the bottom and take the string to the other end of the top where we want the next triangle to end and so we will continue with all the Strings if we start from the left we take them to the right, and the last three will go the other way around . How interesting! To hide the threads, I'm going to cover the basket with paper. What do you think of this low-cost idea of making baskets?
