canva recently held their first public global event canva create 2022. think apple event but for canva during the event they announced a bunch of new products features and improvements to their platform that i think you should know about that is if you are a true canva fan of course you can watch the recording of the event on canvas official youtube channel it's about an hour and 45 minutes long but in this video i managed to boil it down and to extract the most important announcement for you guys i hope you enjoyed the event started with mel and cliff canvas founders explaining how up to today the visual communication landscape has been quite complex and fragmented you would have to go and learn a new tool every time you wanted to design something new going backwards and forwards again you'd if you want to design a presentation videos marketing materials printed graphics websites new software each and every time we believed that this was completely ridiculous completely ridiculous indeed melanie perkins then reminded us of canvas ambitious mission since day one with canva we had this wildly ambitious dream to bring this all together into one single page and to make whiteboards are made for people to just jump in and share their ideas except instead of needing to be in a room together you can invite your whole team to brainstorm on any device from anywhere in the world you'll be able to see who's doing what with real-time cursors my whole class can grab a sticky note and write down their thoughts then we can vote on each other's ideas with cool stickers and that thanks to the incredible flourish team who joined canva last year we can now turbocharge our data storytelling with animated and interactive visualizations with flourish you can easily convert your data into a magical chart or map and drop it into any kind of design like this then away you go that was pretty amazing here is a quick recap of all the presentation updates and features that have been announced at canva create the first one is that you will be able to bring your data to life with flourish by animating your charts and importing them into your presentations or any canva designs really number two you can drag and drop your existing presentations into canva and that even if they are in the pdf format if they are a powerpoint presentation or even if they are a photoshop
