DIGGING FOR TREASURE! GOODWILL OUTLET BINS THRIFT WITH ME & HAUL! By the Pound Thrifting-Huge Haul!

hello in today's video i'm taking you thrifting with me at the goodwill outlet bins where we'll dig for treasure and then at the end of the video i'll show you my thrift haul here we go [Music] we came in at just the right moment so many of the bins are getting switched so hannah and i are waiting for new bins [Music] do [Music] do [Music] do i thought this embroidered wall hanging was really pretty i really like the colors there it was very different [Music] if you're ever at the bins you have to remember to go to the bottom of the bins because that's where you find these nice smaller things i found some nice brass candle sticks that had kind of sunk to the bottom here i was looking underneath what i will show you in a minute was a vintage like turntable um there you go you can kind of see it there not a turntable a stereo receiver i think i thought that was cool [Music] i thought this little precious moments noah's ark miniature tea set was super cute i'm not sure i would have paid 4.99 at goodwill but at the bins it might be worth a dollar then i came across a treasure trove of old wallpaper borders they're probably from the 90s i probably could have picked up more to sell on ebay but i told you i'm not a full-time reseller i didn't i don't like to have too much stuff but i did find a few that i thought were cute for crafting mary englebrite items sell very well for me so i pick them up when i find them but unfortunately this frame had a chip in the bottom of it [Music] [Music] do [Music] do i always think it's sad when i find family pictures in the bins i'm like who donates their family pictures i don't know doesn't make a ton of sense to me [Music] so [Music] [Music] i haven't heard this prayer in a while but i thought this embroidered piece was really neat [Music] as a cross stitcher i can tell you that they did not do a very good job of finishing this piece i would have done a better job they used scotch tape come on [Music] [Music] [Music] do [Music] do [Music] do i wonder if there's a third i don't know [Music] [Music] do [Music] do [Music] do [Music] this vase is made by hoosier glass i did look it up it's really it doesn't have a lot of value to it i thought it was pretty i almost got it but wound up putting it back green doesn't sell well for me [Music] i thought this was a cloche but ow it turns out that it was a broken bottom it's actually like a hurricane vase and i was like well i could use it as a cloche but the top was really sharp so i did not take that home [Music] how do these kinds of things survive the bins i really just don't even know i don't even think there's a flower broken on it that's insane that is just wild look at the handles intact [Music] [Music] [Music] do i thought this clock was really pretty but the face of it was actually turned so i guess it got knocked loose [Music] and this is how i knew it was not a cloche because i found its pear [Music] okay i hope it was fun digging with me at the goodwill bins it was a good day at the bins i spent 63 dollars but i didn't spend it all on my own i spent 30 on clothing for hannah she was gonna do the haul and then we just couldn't work it out she was busy all day yesterday with dance so i'm gonna go ahead and just show you what i got let's go ahead and show you what i got it's a lot of stuff to get through i'm going to start with the things i'm going to keep okay so i got this this is a little door hanger and you just put it on like a closet door i have others i just like to have them you know for each of my doors i don't have that many so i just pick them up when i find them for cheap okay and then i found this little guy and if you've ever seen any of my home tours i can link my most recent one here but above my kitchen sink i have some of the stained glass that my mother collected because aren't my neighbor her name was nancy um when i was a kid she did stained glass and she would give pieces to my mom and so i have one of the pieces hanging above my sink i have a few others but the one above my sink is like in the best condition um and then i put another little angel with that so i would like to have like some seasonal ones and so i mean obviously this isn't like you know the real like cool stained glass like my mother's friend did i'm not even sure this is glass it might be i can't really tell but um i thought it was pretty enough cute enough that it would be nice above my kitchen sink at christmas time and then i found this which if you saw my glass box i found a few weeks ago does this one not open well that's interesting what on earth i thought this was another hinged box but it doesn't seem to open what on earth is this okay friends what is this for if it's not a box now i'm it disappointed doesn't open it's like soldered together and it has an opening here what is it is it made to hold something all right i don't know what i'm going to do with this i got it because i thought i would use it for um you know as another stained box i could still stack it on top of the one that i got i just can't put anything in it so i don't know you tell me what am i missing here it has a slit on the top it is sealed on the bottom what would someone have made a glass box for is it just to display stuff i don't know it is definitely old i don't know you can let me know what you think because i really have no idea anyway so that's what i got that for but now i don't know what i'll do with it okay moving on i also got this he'll just go in my fall decor probably out on my porch he's probably from the dollar tree i don't know well maybe not he's on like a nice little wood base um but i thought he was cute and he'll look good with my other fall decor i got this because i have some of these that i use so i thought why not have another one they're from like totally 70s i don't know i have some from my childhood so that's what that's for i got this you've seen some of these show up before i don't know anything about them but i have a green one and i have another clear one and we love to eat snacks out of them we're just funny in my family i don't know gabe especially like we fight over the the these fancy little bulls he loves to eat like pretzels out he's a funny kid anyway so whenever i see them i pick them up i would love to find i'm sure there's other colors i would love like if there was a pink one or blue oh my goodness that would be great but i i pick them up when i find them which is not very often so i was happy to find that and the other two that i have actually i think one i found at the bins and one i got at a thrift store i got this for gabe he's been very into like 80s style right now and it's just a very just a funny you know truck driver kind of hat for him nothing special just as minnesota north shore so that's for gabe okay and then let's see i got these two rolls of i guess they're a wallpaper border i got them for crafting oops that one's upside down i think it's hot air balloons and then i love this this is like warren kimball artwork which i think i think this would be really pretty like decoupage onto a tray i think that would be really lovely so that's what i'm planning to do with that i know like the um what is it rustic or i don't remember what this was called the style i know it's not as in fashion right now but i still like it i think that would be really pretty on a trick so that's my plan for that okay i got this little guy i'll probably just i mean i think he's just a toy i don't really know i thought he was cute and you know i love deer i'll probably do something with him for christmas time in a craft or assemblage or something that's cute okay and then i got this angel and it's made by midwest i think i'm gonna deck her out in some way maybe put some christmas greenery around her i might do this as an upcycle and then sell it in my etsy shop that's something i really enjoy doing i haven't done it a ton where i make stuff and sell it but i do like doing that because i can't keep all the things that i make you know um but that's what i'm thinking with her we'll see if i like it enough i guess i would keep it but maybe not she can be hung she can be hung up um but i just thought she's cute you know praying angel so that's what that's for and then i got this it's just a vintage notepad but i'll i'll just use it you know but i i always like this i have another one with this car for anything that's cool you can display that for fourth of july and then it's just useful the rest of the time it's not been written in at all and i'm always looking for paper uh so are the kids so i'll probably put that in my little note holder that's on my desk which i diy a long long time ago um but it's still we still use it so probably put that in there because the pads that i had the writing pads that i had put in there when i made it are kind of running out so and then like when i worked in an office i would cut up like paper from the printer you know like used paper that like things that people printed out and didn't want i would cut them up and use them as like notepads to like recycle the paper but now i don't work in an office so now we're just running out of paper so i thought that would be useful for that okay i got these because i'm actually working on a diy later today i'm going to spray paint two of these as handles on a tray they're just old you know vintage cabinet hardware and then who knows i don't know what to do with the rest of it maybe i'll see if there's a market for it on ebay i have no idea i doubt it i'll probably hold on to it for other crafts because when you spray paint it like i'm going to spray paint it that oil rubbed bronze it's pretty when it's spray-painted it's just i don't i'm not a fan of like that 70s brass thing you know but if you spray paint it looks just fine so that's what i'm gonna do with that so that was very timely because i needed handles for this project that i'm working on all right and then i got two little bits and bobs i like to call them for crafting i got this it is a gardener's i guess it's meant to be a christmas ornament isn't that cute so i'm gonna make something i don't think i'll use it as a christmas ornament although i do kind of like it and i don't have an ornament like that okay this is up in question i'll either use it in a craft or i might just use it on my christmas tree because it kind of represents me i didn't think about that when i picked it up but and then i got these just because i picked them up whenever i see them i did break one already look at that but these are great for crafting they're just these old christmas balls they are glass um as you can tell by the fact that i broke one um i got some books i forgot about my books oh my gosh i got this one it's called peter's adventures in blueberry land and the reason i love it i'm gonna show you the picture like look at peter peter looks like a gnome like i don't know if pete i don't know the story um but he goes with the gnomes he shrinks down okay so i haven't read the story but do you see peter's talking to a gnome here which you know gnomes are a big thing in like swedish culture and minnesota was settled by swedish and norwegian immigrants so there's a lot of swedish culture in the culture here in minnesota so i have a lot of gnomes tomptas we call them first aren't well the christmas ones are tontas um but i'm just into gnomes garden gnomes you know all that good kind of stuff because it's just they're cute um so anyway but it looks like peter shrinks down to the size of the gnome and so i love the artwork and i think for like a spring display to have one of these displayed on my bookstand would be really cute like look at the little blueberry boys i mean oh my gosh they're so adorable i wish i do wish it was like two-sided artwork because it would look better in the bookstand but you know i can always figure something out for the other side so that's oh my gosh look at how cute these are and these little children are adorable so that's why i got that book i just thought it was cute and i plan to use it in a springtime display or summer maybe summer all right then some more books i got this one it says everything i need to know i learned from a little golden book and it actually has like she gave it to sheila and nick on valentine's day in 2016. sheila and nick already donated it so clearly they weren't fans of the book but i think it's really cute because it has a lot of the vintage artwork look at this just like excuse me highlights i remember this one from different golden books um all put into a story so get dressed first thing sweatpants are bad for morale put on something nice and then it tells you where all the different artwork like which books the things are from have some pancakes like and it's just it's a cool like mishmash um i just think it's really cute so i thought that was clever and it's kind of a conversation piece so i'll probably put this on my coffee table with my stack of coffee table books all right and then also i got three of these disney wonderful world of reading books i got this one the love bug which is that herbie i don't even know was herbie called the love bug before he was herbie hmm i'll have to read the book to find out maybe some of you know it is herbie okay so that is herbie and i guess he is the love bug i don't know it was a long time ago i don't remember and then i got this because i'm setting up my halloween decor today later on today when we get back from our family drive and i think that'll be really cute in the background of one of my halloween displays and then you know i cannot ever leave bambi behind i love bambi oh my gosh that's adorable so that will go in the craft room if i ever get the craft room back which i'm not complaining about just just saying okay and then well i do have one other thing that i'm keeping it's kind of hard to show you it's this was only 50 cents guys this is worth like 50 between 35 and 50 i'm not selling it right now i'll probably hold on to the box and hope that i don't break it but it's gorgeous and it's really a nice serving piece i will show it to you it is by longaberger and it has its paperwork the thing was never used i don't think look at this it's beautiful and it totally goes with all of my iron stone and my white dishes and if and when we can ever have family gatherings again or friend and family gatherings is more like what we have because most of our family is far away um i can use this for like it's called a divided relish plate so it's like for veggies and olives and pickles whatever so anyway i thought that was great and it goes with my stuff that i like so i will be holding on to it for now but i'm quite pleased to know that i found a 50 serving piece for 50 cents i mean you just can't beat that i did offer it to my friend tammy because she liked longer burger but um she doesn't do the pottery so i'm gonna hold on to it and i told her she can borrow it if she needs it so if she needs to serve anything if when the world ever opens up okay and then the thing that i'm so excited to show you it's my favorite find of the trip oh my gosh it's this little framed piece of artwork it says hurry a friend sorta does a feller good to set and talk a spell and learn how things are getting on and if the folks are well seems like it wouldn't be much fun with a friend like you to enjoy myself with with now and then just to talk into and it's like a buzz a motto from the writing of cliff noble it has this picture but the best part about this is the back and so it says that it was given to mr mckercher from the macarthur's on march 5th 1942. that's before my mother was born i think that's amazing so i actually ordered from amazon some library document repair tape so i am going to with that document repair tape tape this onto the frame a little better because it's not just like that you can just tape back onto the frame because it's actually like it's not even like do you see what i mean like it came it's not that it came away from the frame it actually just ripped so the document repair tape it creates a very invisible connection basically on paper so that's what i'm going to use for that it's library it's archival safe um that should be coming in the mail this coming week maybe i'll make a video if you're interested let me know if you're interested in seeing that on how i repair old documents i have done it before in books but i'm out of the tape so anyway um and i'm not a librarian i don't do it professionally or something but you know you don't want to just like slap scotch tape on there because that would look terrible i want to try to preserve the integrity of what it looks like so um that was my favorite find of the whole trip okay now i'm gonna move to the things i'm not sure if i'm selling but i'm probably selling but i'm not sure the biggest one i'm not sure about is this i think this is beautiful um it's just like a an embroidered it's kind of like i don't know if this is like cruel work i'm not entirely sure um on a hanger i think it's beautiful because of the colors like it has my muted orange and my turquoise which is why i think i'm gonna hold on to it at least for this year for my fall decor and hang it up somewhere i like that it has the black accents it doesn't smell it's in very good shape and i just think it's beautiful i've never seen anything like this before so i'm probably gonna hold on to this and hang it on my wall for my fall decor and then i can decide after that right okay i'm sorry i keep having to clear my throat my allergies have been bad all right i got some of these some of you might receive these this christmas i'm gonna use these as thank you cards they're vintage reproductions of course the reproductions now are like old but they're just like 1980s gift cards plus mark an american greetings company himself the elf and then grand award the paper magic group is the other one so you know actually they're not even reproductions they're just old they're like 1980s cards i guess and they're cute and they will be useful all right and then two other things that i'm not sure about it's more vintage greenery you know i love this stuff i love the older and plastickier it is the more i love it so i don't think i need any of this so i'm probably going to sell this um yeah and then this little guy he's so cute he's he's modern but he's like a sh he's a shelf sitter so i have a oh well we'll use my box my box failure but look he just sits on the edge of a shelf i thought he's so cute i know he's made in china but he still could be from the 90s i mean china is getting you know we're getting to a point where things were being made in china in the 90s and that's considered vintage look at his little face i think he's so cute so i haven't decided if i could actually release him into the world or not but i do think he's adorable okay let's move on to the things i know that i'm selling so i got this i don't know if it'll sell i just thought well wow it's in like it's in its container it doesn't have its box but it's a little noah's ark precious moments tea set and i think it's just darling i mean i haven't untaped it to make sure all the but it doesn't look like it was ever used but look at that little tiny teacup with the lambs on it and the saucer i mean it's so so cute it has oh it has two of those teacups the bunnies have a carrot now really do you think bunnies had carrots walking on to the noah's ark of course these have a bow tie i'm excuse me a hair bow and a hat so i guess it's not meant to be realistic oh it's so cute though so i honestly don't know if this is something that sells i probably paid a dollar for it if it doesn't i will donate it to the little charity shop that i donate to and i'm sure that someone there would love to have it so not for 4.99 goodwill that is why it never sold okay then i got these i looked for a third you probably saw me rifling through them and i'm sure i know there's a third home these aren't home interiors or homeco a home code generally makes things in sets of three i could not find the third who knows maybe someone before me found it or maybe it was only donated with two i have no idea but very boho vintage you know whatever i'll put these in my shop i have sold things like this before i'm sure they'll sell okay then i got these to put in my shop or and if you see anything you like you can always email me i also do that sometimes i forget to say it but that's always like that's like a standing policy you know if there's something you like you can you can write to me okay so i got these three books it's the certain kind of embroidery hardinger embroidery i don't do this type of embroidery but i thought oh it's kind of cool if they're a set so i'll see if anyone wants them they were published in 1982 hardinger embroidery favorites one two there's the authors wow look at those hairstyles amazing also these glasses are back in fashion now you see this those kind of glasses the plastic frames they're very much in style again all right so i got three books those will go into my shop all right then i got these which i will also put in my shop i thought these were so neat so there are two books it's like logic puzzles the copyright 1977 this one is not really puzzles but they're like maze games maze cubes and you can cut them out and assemble them and this is three dimensional optical illusions to color and construct so they're basically like you know vintage game books and i thought this was so cool i'll open them up for you it doesn't look like anyone ever did any of them so maybe someone got them as a gift and didn't use them but basically you build the cube and then it's got a maze on it for this one and there's tons of them and there's instructions for how to do them and then this one um it says contents the inside out cone the circle and the square the two-way cube the upside down you color them and they create optical illusions so i just thought those were so cool like vintage game things are kind of neat i got this to sell just because it's cool it's from when the super bowl was in the metro dome a long time ago it was like i looked up the teams now i'm forgetting i don't remember what the teams were it was not the vikings um but i just thought that was cool and these have sold on ebay recently and this one's in its package they sell on ebay without the package so it's from 1992. all right and then along the lines of like my farmhousey things i'm trying to put in my shop this is a wilton cake mold from 1994. i thought that'd be really cute on someone's wall you could hang it like that good for a farmhouse kitchen i have something like this um i don't need another one but i was like it's lightweight sure why not if it doesn't sell i'll donate it it's not a big deal and then also for my shop i got some brass candlesticks you know brass is coming back so this one has that cool little handle although it has like nicks in the brass i don't know what that's all about but um i thought that was really cute made in india hampton brass lacquered so that's like a shinier brass and then this one's also made in india but it's more of an aged look so i will probably stick those in my shop because brass is coming back and then i got this this is a chalkware plaster piece whatever you want to call it i don't know when it's from i have no indication of age it does have a sawtooth hanger on it i thought that was really cute would be cute in someone's kitchen these are not the colors that i do but i don't know i thought it was cute why not and i got these also to put in my shop i don't know if these are will sell or not but i have sold similar things these are very 70s looking but i don't know we'll see i found all three of them um i could diy their frames but i don't know that i will i think i'll list them like this first and see if you know they go with anyone's decor because they have the aged brass thing that that is coming back they're kind of ornate i don't know we'll see we'll see i'll list them for inexpensive i haven't looked them up yet at all um okay and then i found two well i found one really good winner um i forgot i have this too some three little good things oh my gosh i'm sorry guys i can't count today i don't understand how this survived the bins like what on earth it's a little left in vase it's tiny it's probably like two inches tall and it is not damaged like how is that even possible i keep feeling it and nothing and it looks like the flowers are even intact and the bow i'm just i don't see any chips if there's anything there i can't say oh wand this this flower might be miss i can't even tell that might just be the way that it looks i can't even tell um but for the most part it is in beautiful condition i thought that was really cute really cute so i'll list that little guy not for much but just i was like you deserve to be sold because you survived the bins and then i got this little baggie of vintage hankies um they look to be in pretty good shape so there's a blue one i love this one this is really cute and i'll probably just sell them as a set you know they've been oh i might keep this one that's a cute one for my fourth of july decor i didn't see that one i'm keeping that one sorry sorry and then there's this one it's okay what's up give a wave you're already here you might as well wave i'll no it's totally fine i'll be on a few and then there's an embroidered one this is very pretty has a blue flower on it so um it looks like someone tried to sell them at their yard sale for 25 cents which was a quite a good deal um but no one bought it so i got those to sell and then i don't know how this survived it does have some chips let's let's be straight up it does have a few condition issues but i still think it's fantastic it's this napco japan um like wall plaque i don't even know if this one is not a pocket the other one i found was a wall pocket but look at i i have found something very similar with the baby birds and so this one has two little chips here you could totally use some paint or something to cover that up but i the birds themselves are in very good shape like the only condition here is like a little thing right on his like cone of his you know whatever you want to call that but their beaks are in good shape his beak is in good shape his tail feathers are in good shape so overall i think um for the age of this thing so it says blue blue jay b for maybe 906 napco ceramic japan is the mark so this is pretty old i'm guessing it's probably from the 50s or 60s i'm guessing and you know for that and then having gone through the bins and to still survive in such good shape you know i think i think that's pretty cool it deserved to be rescued and if no one wants it i will happily hang it on my wall um but yeah i know that was very cool so so that i'm going to sell as well and oh okay oh yes all right guys and then a few other things and i promise we're almost done i got this because it was funny i'm going to put this on etsy and see i mean it's totally vintage crafting items it's a looney bird kit which such a funny name anyway i'm not sure we could sell things like that anymore um but it comes with all the stuff to make this like looney bird puppet i guess like a marionette and i just thought that was so cool it has the marionette sticks and instructions to make it apparently although oh i guess oh there's a little instruction packet so um i just thought that was really funny totally like a thing from years gone by i don't know i thought it was funny so i'll put that in my shop just because it's it's a hoot and then this is so cool so this is catholic children's treasure box edited by mary knoll sisters and look at this stories poems games cutouts things to do fun things to make look at all of these and like some of them are ripped from the the binding here like two of them are ripped but the rest are intact but let me just grab the two i don't rip anymore um i just think they're so cute and i guess these were sold separately so they see they're priced separately 35 cents and then i i guess you would pick you know buy them all and then put them in your binder i don't know i'm guessing that's how it worked but look at the the um you know the graphics are just adorable adorable i didn't look this up on ebay yet i have no idea um just really cute really cute so i guess they use this to teach sunday school or catechism i'm not entirely sure and then look at this little girl on the back so cute so they're all like that and there are several i'm gonna sell them all together i think there's 11 total so that's pretty cool all right and that is all that i have for you it was a huge haul i'm sorry this video was long um sometimes it's just like that and um thank you so much for watching i will see you in my next video take
