All right. The project at hand right now is I want to
do a little bit of work to my driveway. It looks all nice right now
when it's dry out, but when it rains, it gets a little bit of a water
running down. on the driving surface where it shouldn't be. But once you start getting down this way,
there's a few potholes. And you can you can just tell water's
been running on the surface. That's not good. So the plan is two things. One, I want to get a very slight ditch
on th side of it, but still something that a lawnmower
can go through just fine. And the second part is
maybe put some gravel on this. So let's get right to work here. Yeah, you can see some of these holes
here are a little annoying. And I filled these plenty of times. I think I really just need
to get the water off the driveway. Once it gets down to here,
it does eventually get off of it, but in there is, like,
nice drainage on the side here. I just need to direct the water that's here to the side A bolt is the only thing that stays there. All right, that looks good. I'm definitely happy of how this trench
turned out. A lawnmower. Be able to get through that. Fine. Looking at the road right in here, though, I think, because water
was coming down the middle of that. And I don't think it's necessarily
getting sent into this ditch right there where it should be. I did like a water bar right up there,
but this, I think, needs fill in here. I want to bring this up with rock Even there
where the driveway is, look how it's lower than where the pickup is,
which is technically lawn. So I haven't started this in a while. I know it's got dead batteries. That's a you know, it's a good charger
when it's making power. The computer ones don't do that. 2 hours later. So that's usually a good sign
when the battery starts pulling and juice like that started easy Is it 24 or 12 volts? 12 volts, ok Really pulling in the amps. They’re you go Thats good the batteries came back
because dash lights wouldn't even come on It’s like Christmas. Oh, that's for cleaning the cab. This track's a little loose. What are you doing Cody? Sam: Get it Cody Yeah, those Frisbees sink. Go get it Cody This one doesn't count. Until you get that one. Does he know where it sunk? It's not that far off the edge Guys there is a Frisbee stuck in the pond. Sam: Cody you should have gotten that Come on, buddy. Yeah, I should have checked these first. I had no brakes,
and now I slammed on them, and now they're stuck down. So I pushed this down thinking Can that just be pryed back up? Ohh Sam: that is not a good sound There is one bolt broken Oh, the brakes came off. Oh okay. Oh I think all that is seized was this. Look how that moves. All right, cool. I was an easy job What this right here? that's a bit of an issue That would take forever That is not in bad shape Look how easy that threads.
That's important
that one the near the transmission is easy to do. Because I can't get an impact on That is 5/8” fine thread That set does not go to 5/8” 5/8” fine, right there Alright, that is fixed. And when I put that pedal in,
that one bolt broke off from the bottom. So I just fixed that Sam: Blue, why do you smell so bad? What did you roll in? It should not be this hard. No, that shouldn't be that hard. That one is bad. This is worse. This little one looks nice. And this big giant one looks nice. I did quit by cutting the cast off. Look where it got me. And he said
You need to be in it for two more weeks. You cannot be trusted. Sam: Longer Pipe? Do any of the other ones come out? See what happens on that one. It's that stripped. Yeah. I either need a smaller Might flow towards you, be ready It would be a good idea
of how much oil this takes. Yeah. smooth. Its skill It's like black ketchup. That's going Sam: I totally loosened it Let me get the thing off here. Sam: You want it up higher? Andrew: Yeah it's too high right there Sam: Jeeze, don’t push the latter over Put a hole in it Sam: They like that Did it look like it moved? Sam: I did not see Sam: Very little, yes. Oh, I think we got it. All right, Letting the chain thing slide down. Sam: All right, I didnt record that, oh well. Oh, well, they got screwed on pretty easy That's working. Yeah. Oh, okay. I hope it is not poking holes in it. Sam: I hope not. That one break too? Everything new is broken I don't want to smoke up the inside
of the garage airing this up the second I started,
I can put it in gear and back out of here. I want to load down here. So I’ll move that stuff. So you want to try and get that Frisbee? Do you see it? I think it's right there We need to see it to do this though. Sam: I’m going to get wet All right, not getting wet There it is Oh, look at that. Yeah, got it. Cody will be so happy. Not having a hydraulic thumb kinda sucks Sam over radio: I am like a mountain goat Yeah, that was some nice climbing. Sam: Yeah I imagine it was very majestic. Big scoup of dirt this is way better spot to load the truck
because you can. You're not lifting it as much. You can see what you're doing
and the truck's on a flat ground. So in case it starts to roll away
when you're loading it, it's not going to that looks pretty full Sam: I saw the littlest fossil activity in there Oh, my God. That one is nice, look there. All right.
And with that, that is all done. So I'm very happy of how that turned out. I mean, the driveway got built up
like a foot with rock and then pretty good
looking drainage ditch on the side here. All right,
so let's look at this in the rain It is working. Look at the water going in that. Blue, what do you think buddy? Lab report That's water right? Right. It's actually rained
pretty hard last night, so there's quite a bit flowing on that side as well,
but at least it's not flowing down the driving surface This is built up pretty high
with a nice crown to it. This trench looks good. It's dug pretty well where it's flowing
consistently the whole way. It's not like
it's pooling up anywhere. know, even that little water bar
I put right here is working good. So you can see this whole section
of driveway is dry I should probably add a couple more
water bars, or even a ditch to the side. All right. So I shouldn't
have to do anything to this for years. That was a big improvement there. Actually, I want to get up to the other
property and do this, but just times 100. So check out the scale, even
just from driving on it a little bit, how it breaks up nice into this nice gravel
and it's blue shale. So that's a good,
good product right there. You know, the red doesn't hold up
nearly as well. I have plenty of red here as well,
but really got to go for the blue do something that last. But this will look
once this gets driven on and rained on. This is to look really nice. All right,
well, let's go work on something else.
