Did I miss | Arkansas public land early season DEER hunting

[Applause] [Music] have y'all ever had a season where just nothing went is planing like everything was wrong you're just against the eightball the entire time yeah me too that was a 23 season and you're about to see it if you stick around to the end there's some really crazy footage a weird experience that happened to me and I'd like to get yall take on it but if you're ready for it let's roll it [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] hunting a deer starts long before the season does more time energy work and money goes into the preparation than the actual hunting the experience of the Hunt is a reward for all the hard work we put into the off season my deer camp is a place that I have hunted for years with family and friends it takes a little work each year but all in all is an easy way for me and my family to experience the outdoors now that we've started and finished some of the work needed to be done at the camp we can shift our Focus to our true passion public land offers an experience I have found nowhere else we are lucky in Arkansas to have a plentiful amount of hardwood bottoms that offer excellent white tail habitat we are known for our duck hunting but there are great opportunities for white toes as well I enjoy the adventure of making it as hard on myself as possible no bait no guns no cell cameras and a small amount of friendly competition just me my bow and the deer with the little scouting done we have a starting point for the opener let the chess match begin [Music] [Music] w [Music] a [Music] [Music] [Music] it's October 9th 3:45 in the afternoon it's about 81° today it's been a tough early season for us we've only seen about three deer on eight hunts kind of came in a little bit further got on top of a ridge with a bunch of White Oaks on it behind us big creek bottom right underneath us and then like some select cut on the other side so hopefully we're going to get it done like I said it's been tough but stay tuned we're we're going to find them what is going on everybody it is October 16th currently 67° feeling pretty nice down here in Southern Arkansas um this this early season has been tough I tell you what we have been struggling struggling we're going to get on one tonight we did a lot of scouting the other last few days is and man I think we found them I think I I think we found them we hunted there this morning I think it's more of afternoon spot it looks like they're in there feeding on these big old White Oaks and stuff so we're going to get in there it's a beautiful little spot uh got to get through this Little Thicket and then it just opens up into a nice little flat with a big Ridge on one side and then on the other side just drops off into a lake and uh you know we love hunting around water so well let's get after it we're about to get uh suited up for for for [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] yes sir I didn't know what that means to me I really just had one come in shot right over the top of I don't know what happened on that and then I believe it's the same deer she came right back in honestly there's probably something behind her but we had to get this dough out of the way yes sir October 30th coldfront baby gu you don't know what that means to me that's my first year on camera I'm shaking like a leaf to make sure it's a good shot I think I smoked her we had to get this uh we had to get this dough out of the way so why we buck hunting from here on out baby let's go just got down just got packed up that's the tree I was in he it's so thick and everything's so small in here I could only get about 10t in the tree I'm surprised she didn't see me but let's go get this first arrow and then we'll start looking for blood try to get this done before dark kind of scared of the dark you know what I mean she's a bigan yeah she been bed for a little bit that's where you want to hit him well now the fun begins let's get her out of here [Music] [Music]
