[Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hello everyone and I'm Armstrong Williams your host of the right side thank you so much for joining us Dick Gregory is our guest again for the full hour thank you the media activist yes philanthropist yes Father yes husband yes and good friend well let me straighten out the husband thing I've been mad 43 years and loving got nothing to do with it she told me if you ever leave me I'll hurt you you know how long hurt will keep you home and then there's another word when you started making money that Michael Jordan just found out about coal half so happy new year I believe you and the family that's good you know whenever you and I sit down and you know I do this annually yes this is the annual thing people look forward to it for you and I to sit down you know what you know there are so many things that you know yes that you've not begun to share with the public yet I mean you are some you can't some you can't you're a doctor you found cures that you've not talked about yet and I know you've got a blockbuster book about to come out there are a lot of people out there suffering dying they feel they have diseases that are incurable yes but you may have found the secret to a lot of the things that doctors seem to cannot find cures for as it relates to many diseases I don't like cancer yeah diabetes let's just talk about you as a nutritionist and some of the formulas that you found and a write about that has been tried and proven to cure you know you kind of psychic I put something in my little pouch that I was gonna give you off the hill for your health and your friends and now you bring it up alright first let me go by my background I thought that good nutrition was long is what you liked it was enough of it bad nutrition is when it ran out I mean I come through st. Louis Missouri rigid racial segregation pattern and inside you keep having this thing for sweetness and I didn't realize till I got grown that that sweetness you want is human dignity I didn't realize it wasn't sugar it wasn't a Twinkie it wasn't a bottle of soda pop and then to find out that one soda pop makes your bloodstream 10,000 times more acid than God meant for it to be I was brought up believing that black folks was on the right side of God you know I didn't believe all white folks will go to hell but I thought most of them would be there and all black folks would would be in heaven and then I started looking at the ankles swollen and sugar diabetes in the high blood this before I had stats I mean I can see they're 9 tell you that african-americans is less than 12 percent of America's population and yet as we sit here now 87% of everybody on kidney dialysis machines is black folks there's something wrong with that number they don't have one kidney dialysis machine in all of Africa now cuz they too poor they don't need them black men less than four percent of America's population eighty three percent of prostate cancer death is black men and then they tell us well you know what it is you haven't been examined you don't get checked where they get checked in Africa where they could check if your setup says if me not going to the clinic being checked is the cause of it being so high then when you go to Africa you can go 5,000 miles and don't even see a little first aid Center not even a clinic you hear me so then you say let me throw that out the window young black teenage boys in America have more asthma deaths than one year then all the asthma deaths on this planet put together well first what we're not aware of yet and the medical researchers haven't touched is that 98 percent of what you die from basically starts from D Hydra so now what does this mean it means that asthma attack is like a drinking water or asthma attack is the brain sends a message to squeeze the water out of the lungs and most of the time six quick glasses of water would kind of break that up stop why aren't black women you know what I said more black teenage boys die from asthma every year in America and all the asthma deaths on this planet how about the women well the black teenage boys it's hot because well they drink Gatorade soda pop kool-aid and lemonade Gatorade is not good for you well I'm not saying that it can't substitute for water you understand what I'm saying you have to drink no all is good for my car but I don't put it in the gas tank you have to drink water the number one calls the Deaf in America it's not homicide or drugs or suicide the number one death in America is sleep deprivation lack of sleep sleep deprivation so how much how much sleep does the body require the universal order requires that you must be in be at 90 minutes after the Sun go down to get to brain recharge after 12:00 midnight you know story Cinderella she's nothing back in the house by midnight she turns into a pumpkin after midnight but when does the Sun go down it changes it goes down different everyday well what's the average time it goes down it varies in the summer time it go what about the winter time no well in the winter time is your shortage in the winter time if the Sun they say if the Sun was down at 5:30 you got 90 minutes before you go to bed so they should be in bed at 90 minutes by several o'clock when do bears hibernate in the winter time right no this is I've not heard this you're telling me that we should be in bed ninety minutes after the Sun Goes they don't let me back up women okay let's see god only came to the planet once right and God have not been back mm-hmm to fix it go change it mm-hmm there were no lights so if there were no lights to the total darkness yeah what would you do you do all your stuff in the daytime right and at night I have you a little quilt so let me get back to this so you're saying that individual should be in bed at least by 7:00 or 7:30 but depends whenever the Sun go down in and then you also gotta put in daylight saving time let's say the Sun Goes Down here about 6:00 p.m. all right then you should be in bed by either by 8:30 yes okay how many hours of sleep do you need once you're in the top nine hours no no no three what happened I'm sure what happened okay at the first 90 minutes your brain gets recharged okay why are you in bed while you sleep your brain gets so when you're saying nine hours you mean sleeping sleep not just lying in the bed not just lying in the bed okay sleeping the brain gets recharged and then after that the body starts purifying and cleansing itself if you want to adopt and got a blood test today okay when I did mine I did a fast 400 and I'm sorry eighty two days in a hospital in New Orleans because I want a scientific data to find out what happens to the human body doing starvation and I never understood out all the blood they was taken out of me the blood got never showed up on time and I loved it cuz I can't stand a needle except when I went to bed at night okay he was there right forward to bed and I got up every morning at 4 o'clock and he was there so I asked the guys hey man why do Dracula be late all the time getting blood and here's what he told me when you wake up in the morning your blood sugar when you're sleeping like your blood sugar builds up and you use that all day long and they wanted to know when I wake up you know how high was my blood sugar and they want to know when I go to bed at night how low they found out on the fast it never dips it stays the same nine hours let me just tell you this I ever --is-- seven or eight hours of sleep every night yes I actually was feeling good about the answer but you telling me we need nine hours every night yeah but you listen let me tell you some my sleep deprivation okay on the over one for show there was an extreme case of sleep that place see here's what happened when you go to sleep at night after you get X amount of hours of sleep a chemical is manufactured in the brain oh okay you hear me that's God's gift not to get that is the equivalent to running out of gas so it takes you nine hours to get the complete complete let me raise this is good well let me just finish oh yes yeah please extreme on the oaf 1/4 show of sleep deprivation everyday this guy's wife cares the child to preschool every day he picks up the child every evening hmm but on Thursday he have to take the child to school so one Thursday he goes to pick the child up a child haven't been here so he calls his wife Susan I thought she was gonna how come he didn't drop Mary Oh today's Thursday sleep deprivation he forgot the child was in the back of the car he went to work let the windows up 106 the child is dead that's what sleep deprivation and and in the reason most folks is not wealthy and out of poverty because in sleep deprivation you make quick decisions so what happens too soon let's say if they only get four or five hours of sleep some people tell you they don't need much sleep you wait I don't believe it ok ok there's a universal order uh-huh they put everything together ok and the universal order will not change its laws because of a human those were the holes of their so it's a slow death this is slow death not only that not let me say what you you just you secondly you know you psychic when go back to what you said for hours ok here's what happens and for hours I I need what they call us stimuli a stimulant a stimulant that stimuli can come from being hostile ok because it gets my adrenaline up but it's really my life of sleep that stem that can come from alcohol or drugs the number one drug addict in America is not these little punks on the corner it's the elderly folks and I hate Pacifico prescription they got is drug-related okay so cigarettes nicotine eaten is a stimulus so tell metell us this cuz America's watching this what's the minimum I mean if they cannot get nothing is no so they gotta get nine hours every night what's the minimum way I can rob you if I take a penny or take a million dollars I have robbed you so you've got to get nine hours of sleep every day Universal yeah here's what I want to I want to come back to I know we're about to go to break that's interesting what you said about being hostile and all that when we come back don't you don't tell me tell me till we come back okay okay I will tell you yeah Dick Gregory sleep deprivation you need 9 hours of sleep that means I need to be in bed by 7:30 to 8:30 9:30 to 11:30 to or 31 32 33 34 31 I know minutes before sunrise oh no I'm up around 4 status I'm always in bed before you to clock asleep by 8:30 great and I'm up around 4:30 for 4:30 so that's okay yes yeah no that's my routine I don't get a this and we're going to brain I cannot function unless I get eight hours somebody that was asleep I cannot fuck and it carries me through the entire day until around 6 p.m. I tell you when the Sun says yes and then by that time I can't even function anything but then what you can retrain the body and you make the product feel it's okay to get four or five hours of sleep but that's not its natural order at all and you're gonna pay a price for it in the moment right all right all right dick Reger's with us for the full hour does is rejuvenates and exercises the body hold on the internal body is very especially so it sleep does that for the internal body how important is physical exercise exercise for the external body okay now and how does that tie the game now let's go back down sleep because you know let me say why I said we make such a big deal out of exercise yes you feel better you need to stay in shape it reduces the risk of heart attack diabetes now I must tell you for me exercise yeah has really improved my type of exercise okay talk to uh if I one drink of alcohol is equivalent to smoking two packs of cigarettes one in a marathon one marathon run is equivalent to smoking six packs of cigarettes okay I don't understand see it breaks down free radicals in the body now you got to clean those free radicals out so if you smoke six packs of cigarettes if you do a marathon for Hollow a new oh my fun twenty six mile but remember you got to train for it cancels that out yes interesting yes and so in that cancel two cigarettes out if you smoke six packs of cigarettes you is like smoking twelve packs of cigarettes it's deadly now let's go back let's go back to what you just said see the problem with you you ask such brilliant questions they overlap and then you mess up my little computer I'm coming in here on one hours sleep you got eight hours so see the next time I come on your slow kill I'm gonna sleep for a week so you don't even know by your own I didn't stop my room but the sleep hey I'm coming down but I drink a fifth of scotch a day I wasn't living by my rule I thought I was being I don't know what you're doing let's go back now could you do exercise pieces nice now we don't leave sleep with this once you recharge your battery it works right oh it works alright now if you don't recharge it long enough then it's not gonna work you're gonna be sluggish they're not only that you got some batteries you have to charge you X amount of hours oh it's not gonna work at all true now let's leave from that we get to exercise and go to the number two calls of death okay sleep is number one no more dehydration is number two water like a water lack of water now take an eyedropper one day when you get home and you I drop it fill it up with water and take one drop one drop of water one drop of water has enough electrical universal energy in it to tear down 11-story building so when you deprive yourself out of the water that the body supposed to have you depriving yourself of energy don't you remember before we live in the system we live in now train used to go from the east coast to the west coast on steam right pulling all all all of that Freight all that cargo boat used to go all the way around the planet huh on Steve right so now water water water is the number two calls are down how much do we consume a day you know you hit they say eight glasses a day no no no whatever you weigh in pounds you supposed to drink half that in houses if you were 100 pounds 50 ounces of water a day you weigh 200 pounds 100 ounces you weighed 500 pounds 250 ounces of water a day that creates the float for your set in other words if you have a hole in your gas tank and we have the same sized tank you have to put more gas in more often than I do you're insane because mine's not leaking okay so now we got number two now let's go to physical fitness that's not a three I'm a three let me tell you the problem we're not doing physical fitness the body has what they call a lymph system the lymph o'neil informal cancer now the lymph system is like the garbage collector that comes to your neighborhood and picks up the garbage not to try it's just the garbage okay so the lymph system do nothing but pick up the filth out of the bloodstream out of the system all the pauses on the system now the lymph foam lymph system have 45 pints of fluid okay but no pump there's no pump oh I know where you go you go okay see there no no I know I know I was explained to the oh I am Who I am now so now the blood you have 13 points and a pump needs to be stimulated you okay right now if I came to your house today to a party and there was a thousand people and we all use your toilet and didn't flush the chain it would overflow what in your house right so when you don't get exercise the lymph system and the pores and overflows now you know what number to tell you something now you know what it's a fact that when I exercise my but my my um my bowels yes and even the urinary tract yes it's just fluid so yes it flows it is amazing it is if one triggers the other yes yes and that is true it's true and so in you I it's not a strain it's so natural that's hey that's what the universe is about sweet universe is about so now the best exercise okay okay it's walking oh that's what now what I do not on the treadmill oh I walk and those who have a treadmill should always open up a window because you see when I when I breathe out carbon monoxide comes out if there's not air out there to take it out I breathe it right back in so you're saying a treadmill is okay if you're not gonna walk it's better than doing nothing it's better than doing nothing but walking around that track or walking outside now I cannot beat it now there you go again that's right the track never walk on the track seven days a week oh no maybe two or maybe three and then no you can walk seven days a week but not on a track let me tell you why okay the only way you can strengthen the system nervous system is when you walk in are you wants to do a jogging I don't talk about cuz that's bad for the body is when you own an unflattering the cause one of the foot shakes the brain have to say we're going on here and then you're strengthen the system nervous is that's why so dry laughs when you go to the best spas in the world they have trails don't think that's true what gravels on them right from and so these trails when you step on the gravel your foot moves backwards and forwards and when your foot in other words when I do that something happens to your brain your brain felt it so when I'm walking on unsmooth surface the brain is and I'm strengthened well then it would have to have that same kind of trigger if you're on a treadmill because that pulsing women you not honest you're not on an unsafe it's just one thing okay it's pretty even even okay so what you say it it's better if I must spend 30 minutes doing something look if you tell me I can go to the bank for 30 minutes and get bags of money I'll go to the window for 30 minutes and get a little driplets I'd be kind of screwed now let me ask you the question yes so if you don't sleep if you're dehydrated and if you don't exercise tell us what is happening to the body that leads to many of the diseases that we are discussing today like diabetes heart attacks strokes cancer prostate cancer the immune system breaks down the one deliver if you take the e of the liver it's bail live life now the liver weighs 3 pounds it's argued and and and and and so the liver filters the blood once that breaks down then everything opens up you open up for all kinds of diseases it's it's what causes you liver to go out which mess with your kidneys and then put so many black folks on Kenny Dallas machine anger bitterness so your spirit is important here me your spirit your attitude yoga how you look at life coffee oh that coffees bad I'm not drink coffee since I was 15 years old most um accounts are caused in America every day from drinking coffee then lung cancer from smoking cigarettes that people drink coffee why do they feel they have to have I need to stimulate I didn't get many that's wrong I need instead of having illegal drugs you just gotta use a legal trust what I did hey hey man if crack would have been legal I to use it whatever white folks say is legal I took I was four packs of cigarettes a day fools because they determined alone I didn't determine one day when they decide deprivation when you when you dehydrate it and when you don't exercise and the diseases that then leads time the first thing you do is knock out the liver the liver is an organ and a gland and it weighs three parts the only thing in your body that's an organ and a gland now what affects it anger bitterness laughter is the best medicine we've heard that all our life right when you look at your commercial when you coming on when you laughing it if you didn't do nothing but just sit in the mirror for four hours once a week and did that healing starts healing starts hmm you see when I laugh you certain muscles and those muscles pinch certain nerves and those nerves trigger all that's dropped into my body that keeps me younger when I frown and tighten up I use certain muscles and those muscles pinch certain nerves or drops a gas into my body that will destroy the sale structure let me ask you an important question and I know you may not what answer I'll answer anything no don't say yes have you found a cure to cancer oh I would not see you right I wouldn't I say that yes no no I'm sorry I would not say that because there's too many people out there that's listening that would might stop doing certain things they doing there's certain things I found out when because of my knowledge that I have for instance I'm gonna give you this here every Christmas I go up in the mountain DC ahead of time and I picked up this Chicago Tribune okay and then picking up a Chicago Tribune this didn't run in no other people and I get six underwear the news week what's that say their study links early adult deaths to live now up until then I know we kind of believe that late was a child thing so then the report came out of John Hopkins I've got the report and I'm showing you this because of cancer see that word cancer there now what does that say you see sixty-eight percent of cancer deaths is because of the elevated lay it in the body hello so now if I have cancer and I'm taking treatment for cancer I got to deal with delay it my camps are gonna be prompt along for a while but I'm dead what it's lay it out of the body a simple herb called tel ke LP you take sick scalp in the morning and seek help and even and the store's pulling to lay it out of the body now let me tell you about this article cuz this horrible is me it says here that lead is the number one environmental health hazard for children but a new study indicate that more than thirty million Americans adults may be at risk from premature death because of past exposures and then go on to say that because of the elevated lead levels in adult lay it calls the early life up to forty six percent increased rate of mortality so it means if you dive sugar diabetes cancer high blood pressure it's really increase you're taking forty six percent in your life huh let me raise this with you so do you take medicine no no I raise ten children but no matters no aspirins no no so what do you what do you what do you recommend as an alternative if you if you need to take medicine like for colds are a headache if the doctor said I've got a high blood pressure or cholesterol when I was a little boy my mother used to give me something called three sixes it was bitter three six six brother I know about sick and cast all you know what you know what NASA stuff you know what three sixes come from goldenseal herb see what the pharmaceutical companies found out that you can't make the money on the herbs so then made it synthetically so it's just a matter of doing look at dogs we'd all get sick and and they just go out and eat a little grass and he'll they sell now this is very important here because you mentioned something about high blood pressure read that paragraph to me right there this is this dis shocked me to no end the research also sheds light on the reason african-americans who tend to be exposed to more lead and environment have significantly increased rates of some diseases especially high blood all my life I've been told salt right now let me tell you if you live in a house that was built before 1978 1978 there can be no more late paint but if I come in and paint your house today with paint with no lead in it if I'm painting overlaid paint see the lead and paint turns into a gas turns into a dust and you breathe it in now I've seen that on four on the Science Channel yes where this person could not have figure out why they were getting these having these illnesses and they traced it back to the the paint and the lead in the house not seeing the mental retardation slow learning of children okay cancer you finish this year looking look at look what else they say there and then you see last danger to children led to the gradual elimination of leaded what else should we look up for we've coveted you know you get the proper exercise now if you want to get into some personal things sleep with your head north you can add more time if you agree wait how do you sleep with your head north you find out what North is in the room what if my bed is this way which way is don't you change you say I don't know I don't know what I'm saying here's what you do I take a compass on the road with me and when I go to the hotel I find out North you take a baby and put a baby in the crib the baby will seek out north we keep straightening the baby up the baby don't turn all the way around the crib it finds you north once you lay down like this every nerve cell in your bodies pull due north so if you're sleeping off there's no pool just like it pulls a compass it pulls every nerve cell in your body get rid of the coffee get rid of the coffee what about tea tea if you if you're getting the herbal tea and one of the best ways to take tea is put it in just water that's room temperature and let it sit overnight let's sit overnight because once you heat anything you see if you heat something you raised the molecules if you freeze something you're low the molecules and those molecules get released inside your body so if you cook something at like 200 degrees Fahrenheit although it will be cool those those molecules is still at 200 degrees fair what about our wine no none of it not especially wine because they talk about how the Roman Empire was destroyed and they traced it back to lay it poison it was the wine crotch that they used because it for the funeral for the three children in Birmingham and when Kings say pray for the people that did it I never thought I'd see today that I'd be able to pray and so it was that not at the time of
