Diablo 2 - ZEALOT GUIDED PLAYTHROUGH [Part Normal]

what's up youtube mr lam sc here and today we're going to be diving in to the hell zealot guided playthrough this is going to be part normal of course as with all the other guided playthroughs we will have part normal part nightmare and part hell and the whole purpose of this is so you can play along with my paladin and just play through the game and actually enjoy beating the game and it's such a fun time and one of the best things about this whole experience is that this isn't just a guide that says get a grief and get a fortitude and get all of these awesome items and beat the game and have a decked out mercenary and then you go wait a second what if i'm just playing through and i don't have any of that stuff no this guide is going to be me just playing through the game not using any gear from a stash or pluggy or hacked in or anything i am simply just going to be playing through and we'll play with what we find and i'll try and explain everything along the way for you so with that being said we can pop on over right here and we can really quickly just talk about the paladin a little bit right so first things first uh to talk about the paladin and the zealot specifically the paladin's a very strong character some of the good things about him are one he gains three life per vitality point um not all characters do this some of them game two life and the barbarian gets four uh but he is one of the characters that gets three so you will have a little extra life along the way additionally he has this skill right here it's called holy shield and it's kind of broken um because with any usage of holy shield you get two frames uh per second a block or a two frame block basically so in a second you can block 12 times because there's 25 frames in a second so holy shield is extremely good and this is something that you will see with a majority of paladins is we are going to go for max block and we're going to get points into holy shield along the way with it because this will not only increase your defense it will increase your blocking percent uh and re require less dexterity overall to then have max block so as the game goes long we will be wanting to get that here is going to be the main skill we use zeal here is going to be sacrifice which as you can see is the synergy to zeal right there so we'll have this we'll have this we'll have this we will have fanaticism um and then we probably won't touch a lot over here i'll probably put a point into salvation um and then if you really want you can get you know some vigor some redemption whatever just for moving around and some of that stuff but we could talk a little bit that about that later um regardless we can go ahead and start moving through and i am using pluggy right now which means i have kind of this big stash and i've got all this gear if i wanted it but we're not going to use that we're just going to start right here i might go into it a little bit later just to show you guys some gear and things that we will be um picking out as we do that so um there is multiple types of zealots i should also say i actually released a couple of zealot guides uh i don't know why i put those in quotes that's exactly what they are um i i put a couple of those up for everybody on my youtube so if you just type in guide zealot or whatever you should go ahead and find everything you need um for that but and i'm doing this because we'll just leave a tp at the den because i want to go ahead and do the den get that skill point and then also we can get a respect for later because we are going to start out with holy fire since we can't get fanaticism until level 30. but like i said there are a couple different kinds of zealots you can make along the way um one that's really nice is the holy freeze zealot i actually like it a lot um it's very safe you get the everything's just kind of frozen around you and it makes it a lot safer um but fanaticism is going to be a little bit of a better damage dealer so that being said let's go ahead and play a little bit and as we come up upon things that are important i will talk about them and i'll play some alerts now for you 29 months we'll get mitora first because that is an instant boost to damage you can see 40 damage pretty much gonna be the biggest boost we're gonna get i'm also looking for a little more gold i have that chip topaz worth 250 gold um but i would like a little bit better and i'm not gonna be able to kill those guys with just this right now so let's see if we can get any more gold here getting stuck at diablo no matter how many times i whack him i still die i whack and whack and whack and i can just never seem to kill him that sounds about right he's a tough one you know good old diablo all right we'll just go back here and we'll sell so if you did happen to get some nice gold while you're out there getting a 350 gold scepter is the way to go it's just a nice boost in damage um and so you can really one shot pretty much most anything in these early levels with might um if not it's not a big deal you can use the sword so what we will be looking to move into eventually as we get to holy fire is i'll be starting to look at um getting into oh there we go nice um something even faster right because you can see this fast attack speed but getting a scimitar can be nice a little bit later on as the number of attacks from holy fire will be really important and we'll talk through a little bit of that as well sour lettuce a prince austin viking thank you guys very much so i mean you can see we're really just one-shotting everything down here pretty much only gargantuan lot health or whatever did you recover from the fudge i am half recovered throwing knives are also great gold um they're gonna be 480 gold so really you know just picking up gold in the early game or items worth gold is really important so where do we put our second skill point a lot of you might say put it in might but we're going to go ahead and put this over here into sacrifice and then if you want you can actually use sacrifice early on um i i find that it it feels like it doesn't hit as well a gift for you i just can't stick a normal thanks sugar oh my god hey tears okay we got a lot of shamans in here so i that guy over there to my right i don't want to kill yet because he's actually this guy's minion so he'll get resurrected if i do and so i'm just continuing with vitality uh at this point you honestly can go vitality or um dexterity either one's really okay we'll probably put five to 10 points into dexterity so if you want to take some time and do that really you can go either way bromaz thank you so much for the set there's just so many monsters in here with the single player this is okay so we are just going through killing the den and at any point if i'm ahead of you during this guided play through or behind you whatever it is just adjust the video as much as caster cl unicorns pause it catch up or fast forward it whatever you need to do uh they're different man there's so many shamans in here you guys this is ridiculous this is pretty annoying for this character because we are single target if you're like a sources with sources with charge bolts it would be much more chill but sure i got some shamans over here as well all right yeah there's this is like two dents worth of minions and we're just grabbing gold anything and everything we can sell we don't actually need a crazy amount of gold but it's just helpful for getting potions if you see a nice scepter if you see you know any of that stuff having a little extra gold is always helpful it's not max density no you would know if it was max density so one thing that we always like to do is look for open socket caps and armors you want to find a two open socket armor two open open socket cap those are gonna be two things that'll be really nice even one open socket is totally fine because you know what you can always just shove you know like hey look at this all right now i've got 20 more attack rating right like you can literally always just put these points in there and that's something that a lot of people um don't think about it everybody like stashes their stuff and is like super crazy about it all and it's like nah man just you can use some gems and things like that early on it's not a big deal at all so we'll get a couple of health pots we'll get some stamina potions we can check if we want so you know this is like two to mite right so if you have a ton of gold maybe you want to get that this is one to eight lightning damage so okay sure that adds a little more damage why not it's not that expensive so you can feel free do that stuff i'll go ahead and get my dexterity now and that just gives me a little more attack rating help out a little bit also allows me to use the scimitar um and so now we have two points so now where would we put these points a lot of people would say might aura but we're actually going to put them into resist fire and you're saying i don't understand that mr lama are we trying to resist fire right now or what are we doing i mean the aura looks cool but that's kind of dumb no actually uh holy fire that's a pre-wreck for it is resist fire 18 fire damage so it's actually pretty nice so once again this will be our starter build as the holy fire build and then we'll switch over to fanaticism later yep synergy not a pre-wreck exactly [Applause] gifted a tier one sub to kilting 92 appreciate that so you want to get to level four basically in the cold planes after level four you won't get too much experience here the videos thanks tainted but it is nice to at least get that i'll go ahead and grab a sash because why not it's always just helpful to have a sash and you can already see like a little bit of this attack rating and stuff once again it's small stuff but it actually does help so it actually does increase our chance to hit a little bit always be careful on rakhinishu he is very deadly but if you can do good damage to him it helps a lot and we're one shotting all of his minions make sure your my door is on and uh yeah you can take care of him pretty easily so i mean you can see pretty good chance to hit really not any issues now do we want to use this shield already that's always the question envy jumper thank you so much i generally don't like shields early on in the game and i'll explain why right after this hey mr llama hey recently discovered your guides from last year got me motivated to play again for the first time in almost 10 years i haven't had the nerf to play since my best friend died two years ago i'm different without him but still fun i appreciate that sorry to hear glad you're enjoying it still all right we'll go back into vitality we put our third point into resist fire now we're level five so our next point will be going to holy fire okay uh and then like i said with the shield do you want to put it on i mean it's a very nice shield you can see it's got 16 16. very nice but you'll notice blocking kind of sucks early on right like look how many times i'm getting knocked out because i'm blocking so it's really not as nice sour lettuce with 10 gifted subs and so this is where i'm going to give you guys a small lesson in uh hit recovery and blocking also thank you faffo for the crime so the way this game works if you take more than 1 12 of your life in a single shot your character will go into hit recovery obviously you know the uh affix faster hit recovery hopefully you can understand what that means now that you hear that that increases the speed at which you recover once you're put into hit recovery but basically your character like right and then has to recover before an action can be taken um right so why are we not using uh i guess first of all to explain you also have blocking and you have a block recovery as well so when you block your character blocks but also goes into a similar idea where they do the block ring and once again faster block rate um you can understand where that all comes from every character has blocking frames as well and that's where holy shield is really nice because it's extremely low so when your character is not taking hits none of these monsters i hear a lot about it but can't find it in the skill tree can do so when you are for instance um getting hit by all these monsters none of them are gonna put me in hit recovery if they hit me they'll do like you know five damage three damage three damage six damage whatever it is none of them are doing 15 20 damage enough to put me into hit recovery so i'm not actually losing any frames right i'm not having to take time to block or get hit or anything but if i put on that uh shield all of a sudden my character will start blocking and now i'm just taking extra frames and getting like locked up for no reason even though i am blocking stuff it still ends up not being as good so generally what you want to do in those situations is uh just not wear a shield early on and then a little bit later on you can wear a shield once monster start doing more damage and all that your character can block a little faster or whatnot so the paladin has great pounding his whole uh combat this whole left side great pounding tainted love with 25 gifted subs what is what is happening you guys this is ridiculous oh no it's curse all right always be careful of cursed monsters so one thing that we want to talk about is of course we want to do uh we want to kill monsters that are our bosses like this and minions of said bosses why because they give 500 experience which is a lot of experience so i want to kill him and all of his minions here and you can see they say demon minion right underneath nightclan there that's how you know it's a boss minion um so i want to fight them because they're literally 500 experience so it's really nice but of course i'm not really strong enough especially with curse to stand up and man up on all of them so this is where having your kiting skills really comes in handy and there you go makes it a lot easier and now we can head back go ahead and get the curse off off of us really fast and keep moving yep bosses and champs are the champs of this game and the bosses technically um you really you know you'll fight a couple normal monsters here and there like i'm killing these guys because i just want to get my level six so i can get holy fire but other than that i mean it's really uh you're not killing too much regular stuff and the main reason of course is because your damage is gonna or your experience is gonna come from these minions i mean when i kill one you can just see the like chunks of experience that are gained it's huge so i i also want to do a quick chat here once again there's just a lot of like monsters here so i'm gonna go ahead and use the hole here to my advantage this is also a cold enchant boss which is our least favorite boss so being able to separate off there is really nice so some of you might say why would i want holy fire right okay so it's two 1.5 to 4.6 fire damage and it does that little pulsing around me but that's going to wear out really fast and yes you are correct it will but you know what it also is 9 to 27 damage to your attack and this is the part that people kind of don't remember with holy fire they think of it as an aura because they think end game origins and you know they got the pulsing and all that stuff but they're not thinking about the early the early stuff um and so that's the important thing right is you get massive fire damage i mean i can literally even take my weapon off and i still do 10 to 29 damage with my fist and this is where i can literally just go and this is you know an archer and i can just pound her right bam like you can fist dudes to death you don't even need gear that's how strong it is and that's a level one holy fire you get a couple levels on that and you are just absolutely golden it's kind of insane right um also with ghosts they can be really annoying so sometimes just using some poison gas potions strangling gas potions can be really helpful just speed things up a little bit frob thank you for the sub for you erin thank you for the sub and tainted love thank you again for the 25 gifted subs that's insane right so that's kind of the beauty of it is all right you know even without a good weapon whatever it is a couple levels in holy fire we're not doing crazy anymore you are you are baby you got yourself a stew okay so yeah ghoster one of the monsters early on when you're a very low level um and you aren't always getting immediate hits off it can be a little difficult so strangling gas really help once you get a few levels you're you're really gonna start crushing them a lot more you're gonna hit them a lot easier um and you're not gonna have issues right yeah we're getting a bunch like bad enchants and bad monsters in here and it's still fine right like that's the thing you this character is still very strong um and very good especially for a melee based character should you up the player count if you are one shotting monsters right not which situations call for doing so so you always have the option and we'll talk about that man we also got a ghostly champion here as well just to really be annoying so upping the player count when and where should i do it right is this two open sockets it is remember we talked about keeping two open socket caps you can also shop this from charcy but having a nice to open socket early on is actually pretty helpful just because you can put rubies in it diamonds in it whatever you want right literally anything goes in it it's so nice a random jewel you find with you know plus max dammit on it who knows okay go ahead and kill countess tear neff totally fine there's also a staff there so i'm going to grab the staff i'll grab the tier neff good enough so now let's go ahead oops uh accidentally quit my game okay so now we can go ahead and move over i'm going to go ahead and save this cap now something we have right here we already have neff tier so we can go ahead and make nadir if we want it gives some mana per kill but it gives cloak of shadows charges which can be useful very on i'm also going to go ahead and save these right there now we are low overall unstrangling gas potions so you might say ah mr lama you only have two left and here you have four left well how about we just max it out boom look at that now we have 25. simple as that you can always sell items with quantities to vendors like that and they will give you some back um they'll give you the max back right there also we got 22 attack rating love to see it uh you can look for like a two open socket or something is always kind of fun to open socket on a scepter put you know an emerald and a ruby or a sapphire in there kind of help you out whatever a lot of a lot of options there thank you wolf pack but now you can see what where we had some maybe issues with like some berserks or these brutes before not as many issues now our character is going to be a little bit stronger and kind of crushing through so always kind of check for shrines when you're doing tower runs here um you can see i have three shrines and we're looking for exactly this to experience and now what somebody was saying before is you can actually change the player count if you feel like your character is just crushing right so i can go like players three and be like okay players three what does players three entail well it means i'm going to uh the monsters will have more hp 50 more for every level they will also do more damage but they will drop more items and they will give more experience so they're harder to kill they they do more damage to you but you can get more out of it so it's a nice little boost you can do we'll just keep pumping holy fire and vitality by the way it's a nice little boost for you if you feel like your character is kind of crushing doing well against a lot of guys always look for the light oh and we got a cursor right here not my favorite not my favorite to run into try and poison and stay away and hopefully don't get hit it's hard to tell which one's the boss is he in this group no he's behind okay okay try not to get hit and kill and you can see i mean i'm getting a ton of experience i'm actually gonna dive on him okay cool so that's kind of a lot of how diablo works right there oh nice more attack rating extra strong a lot of the way diablo works is who gets the first hit off because if you get a hit off on them first you can put them into hit recovery if they get the hit off on you first they can put you into hit recovery which is why all of the ghosts stacking up is a big issue because even if you put one into hit recovery all the other ones will start hitting you and then they ultimately win as a group so once again holy fire continued and then we will also get vitality yet again now one important thing if you are going to be changing the player's count make sure that you are adjusting the player's count back to players one before you're killing the countess and you can even do it while you're down there fighting her if you would like that is also okay just before she dies make sure you drop her back and the reason is because she actually has a worse drop table on any player's count above players one for runes uh just because of the way that the game drops her runes basically so just a fun llama effect so we'll just drop some blanket poison down kill off a lot of stuff and kill things so what are we looking for here because that's always a good question there's really a few things the first thing we want thanks stevie and wolf and engineer as well the first thing that we want is we want to get tal-eth right that's just kind of the simple thing it's the stealth armor we've talked about this 10 billion times and other guided playthroughs if this is your first guy to play through well that's fine we'll come over um this is actually slightly higher damage so we'll use that max stamina we don't care cool um so uh what was i saying um oh yeah so stealth armor get yourself that just tell f very simple um and that's just gonna be nice and easy beyond that there's a few other options we have steel which is uh tier l so that is a very nice easy early rune word you can use that level 13. um put it in a scimitar and then just go to town on a bunch of dudes it's super nice so that's a great one we'll go ahead and grab holy fire here as well um yeah i know i'm right the the stats thing died um additionally ah golden champ i'll kill him and just be slow additionally you're going to have um and continue vitality the option for maybe going for malice we have nadir as well as an option so malice is if lf nadir is a nephthear so really kind of a few options all available to you there and i'm just on players one still right now um so you know like i say i feel like oh i'm i'm doing really well i'm gonna go to players four try and boost it up a little bit more maybe get a little more experience here i feel like you know what we're one shot you elaborate on how changing the number of players works as in how does it benefit you so if you are crushing everything increasing the player count can be beneficial because then it's just less time essentially right thanks db thanks tower so i can sit here and reset over and over again to get these monsters or if i'm strong enough i could just kill one boss pack and get way more experience so it's just speed wise and like i said additionally they'll drop more items when you increase player counts as well so there's actually ah never mind we'll just we'll keep going like this we'll go holy fire i'm not gonna give you guys the full speed running straps vitality and stains nice okay we'll grab that charm so i'd love an l rune from the countess l runes also drop a lot in act two though and we got our ethereum so that's really nice so now we have our talon our f we have an ith rune we have a nadir as well with a neff tear and we just kind of have these as spares right here nine to life we like that any any charms that are like plus life and stuff are super nice and here we'll look for a two-person armor and i will get that and you might say but you just threw away an armor that was uh rare true but just getting that to open socket armor is more important to me so at this point if we wanted to move ahead we totally could i'm gonna go ahead and refill my potions if we wanted to move ahead right now we totally could um we're level 11 and three quarters that's pretty decent but i'm gonna go ahead and do one more run just kind of pray to get a towel or an l rune i i think i actually killed countess without changing player count as well so that was actually my bad we're still on players four it does persist through the game cold enchant and we're just gonna do that so cold enchant archers every archer is going to hit you with cold damage but once again watch my experience barf this is on players 4 at level 11 i mean we're getting so much experience from it you just get chunks from it oh that's nice ritz so you know killing some other dudes if you want to you can but you don't have to uh so now we're level 12 so we can switch over and put a point into zeal and i actually like to leave zeal at one point early on actually would you ever consider a coding job if diablo 4 offered it to you or do you feel like coding for your favorite game franchise would ruin it um i'd be more open to like doing other things with it but i'm not sure i'd want to code in the game you know like yes i do coding but i'd rather be an ideas guy or something with it so you might say mr lama why do you only want one point in zeal right now and the reason that i only want one point at the start in zeal is because i'm you you get locked in when you do a zeal so if i click a monster i can't click off like i'll try and immediately click you know i can't run away until he finishes his attacks so the next level is three hits then it's four hits and so you get locked in going wham wham wham whim and that whole time you can't move and it's pretty annoying additionally the damage boost you get a small attack rating boost but really um where you're getting your damage there's like sacrifice points but really like holy fire is way more of a boost to us so i'd rather be putting my points into holy fire right now only hitting twice with holy fire but hitting twice really hard with it and being able to move in between that's worth way more to me and once again we will change the players down to players one before we kill the countess pray for an el rune if not that's okay we'll get it maybe an act two don't get it we get rao tal which are also nice runes rao rune is uh a nice fire res you can put that in a helm or a shield when you hit level 19 and towering is actually poison damage so once again we could get like a three open socket flail or something later on and uh put that in there and just have fun um so i'm gonna go ahead and sell this bad boy and then grab one of these and you might say but mr lama your damage actually went down a little bit when you did that and you would be correct my damage did go slightly down um when i did that this is four strength five mana and we'll put it over there for now but the important thing is to remember with it um we gained attack speed and when most of our damage is coming from holy fire attack speed is actually going to be a pretty big key for us so you want to uh have that for sure because now you can see how much faster i hit and you'll notice oh wow it wasn't actually mr llama doing a ton of damage before um with whatever stuff you know with like his scepter yeah i did a little bit of damage but really mr lama was doing a lot of damage sorry one second uh really mr layman was doing a lot of damage to audio blood you can also start looking at like targets and things just to see like oh that's nine all res that's pretty nice i mean this is a little better you know a little higher chance block but our shield's a little better but finding like a nice targe and things can be nice because we can eventually make that into an ancient pledge or whatnot later on if we want and that'll be super nice right so once again i mean i i'd say i feel comfortable to go like players through right now because my character feels like he's really crushing a lot of dudes up and we're getting some you know when you get like mass groups of things like this this can be where it's nice to uh just turn around and hit like a couple of them right like i don't want to ever fight one devil can really but if i can just kill like six devil kins at the same time sure that makes me feel better attack speed affects holy fire well remember this is holy fire just adds damage to your attack so attack speed isn't affecting holy fire exactly so much as just the more attacks that i do every attack also gets affected by holy fire that's the important thing to remember so if i only attack one time per second it's only affecting me once if i attack 10 times per second then holy fire is being doing damage 10 times per second right so the faster you attack the better off you are when using holy fire how's the fudge treating me there's a lot of fudge man no a scimitar is gonna be the fastest weapon speed here i i believe it's the same speed as a dagger i'm not mistaken i believe they're both minus 20. and of course if you want you can get yourself the malice if you find this you can just go here first go back down and then get a waypoint and come back speed is unarmed probably what zero i'd guess or something like that if you think if it's anything other than zero that'd be weird you cannot zeal without a weapon that's one oh wait yes you can sorry you cannot what skill am i thinking of there's another skill smite without a shield oh i was thinking about leap attack without a weapon because that's something that happens to me a lot you also can't smite yeah without shield but um you can't leap attack without a weapon because you you have to have a weapon in your hand to hit okay don't really want to fight okay and whenever you feel like you've gotten to a point where it's getting too difficult whatever it is you can always drop it down to players one again i just always find that increasing the player's count uh is a nice easy way look at that this is a fantastic boss group to come across by the way fallen uh champion packs and fallen beetles are like the best experience in the game this is how the world record strats eventually rolled into just finding that pack over and over again um will you take us to an exit or not map is playing around with us a lot okay well we'll keep going holy fire oh it's level three jail yes i thought we were in level two okay we'll keep going vitality and keep going holy fire it's very simple very simple build uh to start now if you wanted and probably already too late for it now but you could have gone one point smite and one point charge uh with a couple of those earlier points if you wanted to be charging around the map just really like i say we use it for speed running just to like speed you up a little bit um but that's why i didn't really mention it because oh boy cold enchanted okay two open socket nine all res it's pretty nice actually so once again the problems with these monsters are all of them all of their range attacks just like the archers do cold damage so it's not like you can just dodge the main boss and then you're good to go you have to dodge all of them if you want to not uh take any damage on it which is really annoying now of course any time that you're running through you'll see like i don't have boots on things like that any time that you're running through if you feel like you want to go get a little bit more you can always go and shop for it or farm a little bit pick that stuff up that's totally fine i'm gonna play with a little bit less um and the main reason is simply because i'm better at the game and it's you know i've played this game and beaten it thousands of times and so i know when i need stuff and when i don't need things for you guys probably easier and better to just grab stuff when you when you feel like you need it i'm not even trying to use that as a brag i mean it's probably more of a sad fact to be honest now if you would like to do uh and dario runs go ahead and grab the waypoint on level two some of you might run into it where it's bugged and you like can't grab the waypoint if that happens just go to town go back and then you can grab the waypoint just like open a tp go to town come back and then grab it right i've spent years playing this game if i was not better dude regardless um and why would you farm and dario here you might ask well and dario is actually a pretty good source of some really nice early game items you can get things like crush flange or other items nash or whatever that have crushing blow you can get plenty of nice boots gorefoot you can get hisaris boots you can get all sorts of just like different runway boots things like that um you can get um blood fists which are amazing gloves by the way if you have a ghostly afflicted or any ghostly champion always try and kill it first darn not quite the belt i wanted but we'll take it uh so there's really a lot of okay early game items i knew about the humble brag today i've learned the sad brag yeah sad brag better way to put it okay and i came down here because i want to fight this boss i do an snt dj phonetics thank you for that sub g4 as well welcome back six months fire and chants are always a little bit harder to kill not a big deal his sad brag a search thing feels like it these banister actually pretty good experience but they can be pretty annoying to kill as they love to like run and hide in corners and stuff so right now i'm level 15. so if i was if i had found that l rune i would make steel already which would be very nice once again tier l i would make it in a two open socket scimitar that i shot from charcy make sure it's gray and not mechanics blue just a heads up um let's keep going holy fire it's a dead end i do have a lot of water bottles this is true what up hashi how you doing and you can see i like this nice uh thing we got here okay that's our exit let's make sure we're on players one and rocket you go by hash brown now okay is that because of your nice tan from the the sun going outside she barely even streams anymore all i see rebecca carrying the channel and every now and then jesse's like i guess i'll come inside and play okay so for in dario uh you're going to absolutely murder her face just as a heads up surgery next week oh no now i feel bad so just know that you will easily destroy and dario why is this important well because you can farm in dario very quickly so for instance you know okay let's say we got this the first thing before let's say i want to farm in daryl i'm so excited do i quit right now no what we do is we go here we talk to warrev we travel east now and dario is bugged she will actually drop her quest drop which is better drops for us now we can save quit whenever we want but you always go east before you save and quit okay everybody got that let's sell all this stuff off look at all this delicious gold we have i'm just saving some chips up because we can use those later for rolling so i guess i should say save your chip gems we'll go ahead and buy a belt right here save and quit we go to town and we go here and this is especially if you have charge it can make it even faster because you can just blitz through right and i mean we can even do like players three in dario we could do even higher if we wanted honestly probably let's try players five and dario you should always do odd numbers when you're setting the player count if you're trying to do it for item drops because the number of items that they drop only increases on odd numbers if you just want it for experience purposes you can go evens or if you don't think you know you can kill you know it's easier just do like players two whatever but if you want it for item drops one three five seven okay so we'll kill this and we're just gonna make a mad dash for in daryl and i mean you can see this takes you know a minute two minutes like it's really not that long and once again if i had a better map set up first off and second if i had cut in charge we could really get down to dario you know 30 seconds to a minute for you so you can really farm her and over the course of 30 minutes or whatever you can get yourself those blood fists and those nice drops or whatever okay all right so now we've got players five and dario right here so she's gonna be a little a little bit more of a girl for us to fight you know she's gonna be a thing it's okay look at that players five and dario down and some more nice drops and you know if we had uh stacked up maybe like in a one of our caps we put a couple topaz and in an armor we put some topaz and we get some magic fine going you can end up getting some really nice things so i really would recommend uh considering doing that stuff as that is a nice easy way to get a boost regardless we got ourselves two not bad items oh i guess i never did go back and get the malice that's okay okay add some fire damage sure we'll keep it for now and we're keeping our chip gems so for this build i like to run one three in my belt that means one row of mana three rows of health uh main reason for that is because zeal doesn't take that much it doesn't take that much also my weapon is uh pretty sad right now um i'll eventually probably work up to a flail i guess and just put like tall towel in it i guess that's what we'll do because right now we're just using garbage so since we don't have a malice or if we find an el ruin we can make malice thought this was a hardcore zealot build rest in peace sell it can we start over rest in peace i haven't died though my dora is never fun it's truly a terrible time for everybody but we'll take the time i'm on players five yeah yeah i want to get some nice experience out here oh actually this is a good place where we can also bring about getting yourself a mercenary why might you get yourself a mercenary right now because they're pretty nice to have simple as that now they're not always amazing and required blue walk your mama thank you um but getting yourself an offensive mercenary can be super nice in normal as it gives you blessed aim makes a little bit easier to hit so we'll get him you know some armor if you want the most important thing is that you get him a weapon right you just want to make sure and make sure it's a weapon he can use 64-44 so that would work let's get this some nice damage on it okay so now we can also talk about one more thing which is called mercenary bugging i can either have my mercenary take hits like a normal guy or if i don't want him to get focused i can come here and do this so i i lock him in the other room and then i run over here this is the inner cloister now once he teleports to me he is now untargetable okay this is a natural bug that occurs often um but you can force it to occur if you would like doing that strategy so now when we're out here you'll notice no monsters are going after him they refuse to to try and hit him now if he's standing in the way he will get hit right so he's not invincible additionally some ranged guys will focus him like chaos knights and or oblivion knights and those guys they will focus him but regular just melee running around will not focus him so like i say it's a naturally occurring bug that happens all the time when he just teleports to you after getting stuck um but you can also just make it happen if you want now we still have the option as well to drop some poison down if we want so in these high density areas like this feel free to lay down some poison keep buffing that up i'm actually going to buff my strength a little bit rampart thank you and now me and my mercenary gonna go access the giant stash of runes during my play along you just go to the countess all right it's guided playthrough we're teaching them some basics we got to show them different options i'm not even this by simply going back and forth to town it is an honor to serve you and just looking to see if she has a through open socket flail for you simple as that good day nope can you see the garlic yes you can see the garlic when i hit 25 will i go for strength i mean i'll probably go for strength later just look in your stash i mean i have a malice somewhere in my stash if we're gonna be honest is there um i can also make mine a deer right now a dollar get it and you can see a little strength mana per kill that can be very nice um and then i'm going to make my stealth as well faster run walk faster cast rate faster hit recovery some dexterity it's very nice for us it'll be even better um a little bit like later but it's very very good for us just to have so a gift for you once it is on though and we can use it right because you can see it's required level 17 we're only 16 right now past your trip thank you so let's continue down here but that six dexterity will help us a lot because that means we uh won't need the 10 in dexterity there now is there better armors we could find sure we could find like a twitch throw or something that would be a fantastic armor for this character damage because you didn't bug him or uh or whatever reason um charge bolts are hitting him you can always do shift and then a potion and he'll say thanks like that and that means he has received your potion playing d2 while watching a streamer play d2 adulting is fun i did just eat chipotle for dinner per usual i sent them a message and asked for sponsorship they haven't responded yet but soon fresh meat stabs are always great gold if they can have some skills voodoo and real minty thank you maybe reggie no it's just off right now yeah we got a boss group in here the barb guy to run through which one whirlwind frenzy shout i think we've done three of them maybe even four nice gin i i had fun with media and excel i didn't feel like i was playing diablo really but i thought it was a fun game some of those boss fights were really cool some were awful but some are really cool so one of the other nice things about having a high players count if your character is beating them well um is you need to get level 25 basically by the end of act four so we'll go ahead and do that i'm gonna ditch that charm i don't really care for it too much it's not enough out of damage it's okay but you could keep it if you wanted you'll you'll eventually replace it um but you need to get 25 by the end of act four if not you need to go back and farm until you get 25 by the end of act 4 or 24 and then go immediately run to angels and the reason for that is because there's an experience cliff in this game that you have to get past so help me it's just uh crystal runs apart for my grail nice gg what was the percent oh did you read what the people voted for i did not i don't go on the diablo subreddit too often because there's usually a lot of yeah have you found your next challenger for a new mf comp uh dark humility once wants to fight so i'll probably do some something with him here at some point cool good and repair and get rid of that keep that only p3 and not my style what's my next play through this one uh no i don't think that far ahead so this shield is actually pretty nice for us um because one it's a tart which is nice but it has two open sockets and we'll want cannot be frozen later so we can actually make a rhyme shield out of this shield so if you find a two open socket targe especially one with some res maybe consider using it i don't plan that far ahead next playthrough could be a monk on d1 hellfire i did some of the monk i really didn't enjoy it that much i didn't play like too far with it but i was like i preferred playing the ranger rogue i mean a fury to it it's probably pretty similar to this character and how it functions playing through the game bills above it's true emery these marauders can do some big boy damage by the way especially on a high players count be a little careful sick of pd2 server issues already yeah basically if i'm not going for like first level 99 or something like that it's a lot harder for me to want to play a mod or play on servers of any kind when i can play single player without any issues you just have to run around and look grg that's all there's no like you know it or not you're just looking for fire if you see two fires you're good if you see one you're not can i tell the difference oh will i be upset that i can tell the difference yeah it's kind of unfortunate remaster i've bugged and dario yeah probably they attack sure why not we take the small boost here light can never be extinguished by evil and now we can use our malice and our mercenary can almost use his malice so now we can boost up a little bit hit a little bit harder it's very nice club i prefer so cold source in hell yeah you just gotta tele through it all so we morph the staff probably not evil and keep going and you can see i mean we're hitting for so much damage right now that's crazy ghost nation thank you for the sub and zorus thank you as well you're on hardcore yeah you still gotta either telly through or be a dual spec or slowly let your mercenary work your way through yeah we did a whirlwind barb guy to play through already that might have been the worst character that we tried to do a guy to play through with to be honest it's very bad and once again you can see this does attack a tiny bit slower but it also has open wounds 100 on it as well as minus defense so that ends up doing a lot for this character just to help us open wounds means he hit a monster and then it bleeds out over time so you can see those arches are targeting my mercenary so i'm gonna go ahead and give them a potion to heal up and just try and get in the way helping that a little bit i mean my man does some great damage i cannot deny it open wounds is eight seconds this surely is the product of a twisted mind if i'm not mistaken does it work on a mercenary weapon yes cool so now he has open arms and just hits for more damage as well does the mvs software work with minecraft no it exclusively works with diablo 2. currently evo would have to program it to overlay other games if we wanted to make it overlay their games and then there's maybe some potential but it's built for 800 by 600 resolution as well and there would be some coding changes that need to be done for sure oh yeah to put an item on your mercenary you can just grab it and then when his name highlights you just put it on you can also press of course and you know put it in there but you want some fudge bro let's not talk about fudge for a bit yep alice olives it is then i'm actually gonna go to players one while we run around here so yeah getting gloves with like ias are gonna be really nice for this character obviously we can shop some later but before then finding them can just be very nice so if you happen to find a pair like bloodfist or find i'd either be aiming for something like a strength or a black or just kind of seeing if i can find a really nice weapon like an alders or something you know you just get like high damage weapon that can be really nice our suburbs cudgel has a lot of max damage on it so those can be nice it's just like items to use oh nice welcome to my shop it's actually one of the like most baller low level jewels you can find the 20 poison damage jewel put that in a helm or whatever it is it's really nice spider or zealot i mean both are honestly not bad aladdin is pretty strong this overall yeah you're yourselves the clap you are now through act two you have just crushed durial with your melee character you would have never thought it could happen we also have berserkers as an option if we don't want to go for the manipur kill obviously we need the strength right now from the deer though so we'll just hold on to that and we can check the shield out it is pretty bad so we'll just sell it right mr gray so continuing out into act three here we're level 21 so we should be pretty good and it's always good to just check these shields and just see is there a really nice um shield that you know is 15 already 20 all red something like that because even though it's not going to i guess if it spawns with two open sockets it could be two open sockets otherwise it's not gonna just get it on its own even though it won't do that um you still can get the benefit of using it and then of course later on let's say we get death sash or let's say we get um you know a four uh or a raven frost or a spirit shroud or something like that with canopy frozen durian shell well then we can put that on and use a nicer shield right we won't be forced to use that rhyme shield otherwise rhyme shield is going to be your your item pretty much there's there's pretty much no other shield really to be used on a zealot if you don't have cannot be frozen i'm looking for res on those completely but like i say high res and two open sockets like this that's nine res but hey even nine res i'll take it correct fey wing potions do stack 30 seconds for each one you drink would spirit be viable for a zealot spirit is very nice yes spirit is actually a fantastic shield but once again without cannot be frozen i would still be more inclined to run the rhyme than the spirit because once you get to hell especially some place is a nightmare but once you especially get to hell if you don't have cannot be frozen every other monster is going to freeze you and it's just going to be a nightmare thorns i'm not running thorns i'm running holy fire how much attack rating do you need to keep consistently bopping dudes as you progress through the nightmare in hell well you can see right now we have four thousand that's due to the blessed name without the blessed aim we have about 1900 it's plenty right there you can always just kind of feel it out that's the best thing honestly to do just feel it out as you're going does it feel like your character is hitting a lot you can of course check and see uh you know chance to hit all that stuff your character's struggling there's two things you can do one level up more because the chance to hit calculation is not just attack rating and defense it is also your level and their level so leveling up always helps with your chance to hit and then additionally you can go and farm a little bit for some attack rating items somewhere along the way help you out a little bit burst bug is very good especially for like this character yeah hammerton's benefit greatly if you're using like pluggy or whatever remember spirit is a ladder only runward so you would need pluggy to have it in single player or adjustments to your runes.txt um otherwise generally not going to get to use spirit but if you can hammer them it's disgusting oh look at that we gotta skip would you recommend mfang as a javason uh javazon i really like cows chaos a little bit later is kind of nice oh yeah he unbugged after we uh came back that's right it's like why are they all focusing him he holds up all right for himself though why not put a diamond as a placeholder in my shield because i anyways for crafting purposes go there op ring it's true if anybody's ever annoying you you just just do this a friend comes over and is ever annoying you what do i mean by crafting so crafting in this game is exactly that um also by the way i know i didn't talk about it but you know we talked about like he has a malice to get a three open socket you can once again just go and shop for it so you can go to pharah and just shop back and forth so you get a three open socket spear or whatever the heck weapon make your malice and any three open socket weapon from there and uh you're good to go just as a heads up i know it's a little late but i'm gonna go ahead and put this into strength the reason is because i don't want to be dependent on my helm to wear my flail um and also having like 45 strength is not a terrible amount strength to have blood acts i don't know if i've crafted that if you're on ladder you can also craft four open socket for an insight totally true or get find that but you won't get that this early that would have been a little bit later on you do that better to farm andy and mephisto for shaco and dario and hell is the best shaco farm spot i believe okay we'll go ahead and go up to players three again just to try and increase the experience a little bit because once again i want to make sure that we're getting 25 by end of act 4. so our damage is pretty high one of the things to consider is you you definitely want to have something that does damage right um like that can be always just good for a boss or ancients or whatever but against an everyday monster um you want to have just high damage and so you know something like malice actually is nice because it actually has some decent damage on it and will carry you through normal um at least but as we move forward finding some sort of item with decent damage will be important and we can talk about those in part nightmare a little bit more as we get to that part of it all am i good for this 24 light reds is pretty big and that's kind of weak okay and we can just store across like that yeah nine to energy is also not bad get a little more mana why not right why not now in the cursed bazaar if you need to get some levels let's say you haven't been running on players five three all that stuff you've been on players one and whatnot throughout the run uh a great place to do that is serena runs so you get the crisps our waypoint and then you find the uh tomb cave whatever temple area that faces this direction to the top right come down here sereno will be down here this is also for the quest okay looks like there's a double boss there and he just killed battle made serena and her minions it's nice easy experience good levels good drops as well for items to get some extra gold and a lot of times you'll find a second boss down here as well such as this and even sometimes a third boss so it can be a great place to just get a bunch of bosses nice and easy now you'll notice that i haven't specced for holy shield yet and that's because i'm just feeling more like being kind of a damage dealer if you had really wanted to you could do that but that's something that i more do kind of once i make that switch over it's kind of like in normal doing having your defenses as high and stuff just isn't quite as important and then once you get a little bit later on then it starts to get more important i have if l f in there sorry smt made i need to turn the jade figurine in mouse blob thank you for the sub i'll pick up potty and beginner advice uh i mean i've got a couple like and i've got plenty of guided playthroughs and things that might help along the way um otherwise you know just have fun with it have a good time so doing both of these quests is really nice additionally somebody had mentioned it before and we can go do it make sure you get the potion i know i'm saying i'm not specking towards it though it takes one two three four so it's five points to get a single point holy shield um but you know we can come over here and do radiment if you would like what kind of sub count would you need for you to do a run where you take an act one verse from normal to defeat hell bale can it be an act tumors oh sweet you're doing more guided play-throughs i just finished single-player marshmallows with amazon thanks to your old guided play through on youtube it's a tough one my valkyrie and mercenary carried me through the final acts while i raised for sure oh yeah it's it's extremely difficult nice what maps those were two amazing maps right there you used two last year nice the sorceress one's been been really popular lately where i put it i'll just put it above the health or something like that i mean it's just such a fun class get him so yeah the important quest to do in a run with your character are one um den of evil malice if you want it uh radiment the uh golden bird jade figurine kid bin get you a nice rare ring kane also can get you a rare ring if you would like that um or just a ring i should say oh it's rare and then usual really kind of later so if when in doubt complete all quests but that was really the main ones and then i guess the first couple ones in uh your socket quest yeah ruined temple as well to get the five stats is nice forge is you know if you if you want to get the gems and things i i don't think it's a must complete not till like night nightmare and hell can be nice because you can get some good things um normal if you want the gems i have not done a mercenary only run i don't believe do i think do you think we'll be fixing remaster maybe a little bit but not completely yeah my health is slowly going down that's because there's drain life on uh malice so i'm still wanting experience i'm only 23 and some change here so we're still gonna try and kill some dudes yeah all right i've taken so many builds through hell i can't tell you we're just not playing right now steel is very good for a holy paladin holy fire paladin you you could use a steel right here it would also be just as fine i mean you get it in a scimitar which is a little nicer you get a little bit faster attack with it um you get better open wounds chances though because it's 100 on this plus you get the minus defense and stuff so does bleed work if there's no physical damage done itchy berserk i want to say yes but i that's a pure guess i'd have to test it mateos thank you if it's a conversion yeah like i'm i i feel like it would you prefer steel cemetary with a hardcore character i mean this is also why i recommend only one point in zeal early on right now we're just doing the normal part of it oh i never split my no and daryl and dariel okay so i'm actually gonna save quit and this is just because i want to get a little more experience right i just don't feel like my character quite has enough experience yet i'm only at 23 and a half i want to get a little bit more before i move forward so once again here's where you can save quit as much as you want gosh warren so we'll go ahead and do this get our mercenary bug one more time and then we'll go and great places to farm of course um some of the basics we've talked about before grab a ring because why not we can go to the cursed bazaar here and farm this temple there's also all of the other temples to farm this temple works the two temples on the sides before the travico work there's really a lot of these places that are all good farming spots you can farm the flared jungle if you want to just run around there especially if you have a lot of choking gas potions because you can just lay those down on the guys um really a lot of a lot of good spots so if you finish around 24 and some change here it should give you enough room in act 5 or act 4 to get to 25. grab the charms we got double boss here again and pull them out and give our mercenary potions to heal thank you it's and if you're getting a little low just oh that's actually nice we can talk about that a little bit in a second here let's do this so we got mila bregas right there which if we were to do farming that is a fantastic one of those items to just keep and have on the side also there's our level 24 so that's really nice so what was i talking about exactly let's first do this check out these charms four to strength seven to mana poison rez i don't care about as much florida strength is actually not bad 10 fcr8 fire res not as much good for us oh that's all right you found nagel nagel's a great ring to find honestly very very very good early game and continue holy fire vitality same story we've been telling for a while want to be careful here also these hydras will do a lot of damage very quickly to my mercenary so i want to be extra careful with my mercenary just as a heads up cool okay so we got our grand charm we got our ring let's go ahead and put this down for now and we can drop that sounds pretty easy not too shabby at all right there some poison res poison damage just don't care enough about that let's get some health and keep our ethereum and our gems and our jewels right there perfect and just keep moving forward thanks zabra now if you would like to farm mephisto there are once again a lot of decent items that you can get just farming with and it's also very close and easy as well interactive fresh meat your mom with the gift itself loves me 68 gifted a tier 1 sub to abra underscore kadabra 666 they have given 122 gift subs in the channel thank you you're sweeter than fudge so you just come over here you get yourself the waypoint yeah it's not updating any check out the target this is where you can look for it's already eight but you know you can really look for like some nice charges and things get some like 20 auras and then you just go fight mephisto let's do a players three mephisto how does that sound make sure to give your mercenary potions as well as yourself and i don't like to kill all those guys but you can they actually have not bad drops so not the worst uh monsters to kill to be honest oh no jose's gonna die from the charge bolts drink your potions his aid okay getting all the fcr huh it's actually the worst good gold so i'll keep it okay set up your teepee now those guys can heal mephisto so if you have any of them around the fisto make sure you kill them first just as a heads up otherwise they'll heal mephisto and you'll be really annoyed but if you get right on mephisto it's not too often that he's gonna be doing his elemental attacks he'll usually hit you or do poison and so it's usually not as bad um the charge bolt can be kind of annoying if he does that and the frozen shot of course there's the charge bolt and that will absolutely murder your mercenary and potentially you as well also there's a super chest right up here feel free to go to players eight right before you pop it didn't give us a lot right there but you never know but like i said that is a fantastic boss for farming and if you want you can also just have like amila bregas on swap or something so then you get even more magic find when you're killing him so we actually got some nice drops we got saigons which is actually good 23 light reds right there which i like and catherine's all right don't care as much for that or that but i will keep these two things and just like that congratulations you have crushed act three yourselves a nice clap and we go there we go there and once again like i say uh let's just put this on the off hand or it's actually better to go from act four so we can literally go from here and then this is like the easiest run in the books man if you get a really close waypoint this is just the easiest run in the books experience do i swap to hammers this is a full zealot guy to play through so we'll be playing zealot all the way through like i say you don't even have to really kill them just don't make make sure they don't follow you just go to town on the dude and then like i said you can always just watch for when his health is really low and then just do like a weapon swap or a shield swap or whatever it is and i'll finish them off with mila bregas and now we get a little more magic find and hey you need calm right corporate glory how night is that how nice is that so now we have hip blind's target which can actually be kind of useful fire res would also be useful though um tough choices i think i'm gonna go with the fire rest did the merc die yeah mercenary got popped unfortunately so now i'm gonna actually drop to players one um just because act four and five are pretty difficult acts and uh boost not player account on them not as important these are the acts that i generally kind of run through a little more um you can kind of kill some stuff here and there if you would like but generally i kill a little bit less than these acts because the monsters are a little bit tougher let's see if we can run into usual somewhere because remember usual is a very good quest plus two to skills kind of insane so we definitely want usual come on baby and like i had said before this is also where if you get two row runes just go rau rao in your helmet and you're golden because then you get 60 fire res and it's great instead of like 25 from this you know it's nice but could be a lot nicer also sanders gloves can be really nice it's another really nice like find to get let's check out the shield rs10 doesn't excite me enough okay we got a minion over here so you can see there's minions it's extra fast that means there's an extra fast boss group right here whenever you see that little minions thing always go looking for the boss and the rest of the pack as we do like experience okay so we're just looking for the waypoint excuse me uh-huh everything eludes us there's a lot of birds and tainted too many birds destiny definitely my less than ideal monster packs or monster types out here just turn it on and off to reset it like that assuming you've moved it with the arrow keys you know something like that there it is hey bro just wondering what the status was on getting that rake back to me yeah i'm i'm like so close almost thinking about doing it hey there's another round come here izzy it's one of the big things i can say with visual is if you can just kind of isolate them off from the other monsters that can be really helpful it's like here i know that he's up there so i'm first going to drag these guys away kill all of them that way when i go in on izzy i don't have to deal with constantly getting like mana burned from these doom casters and things like that it'll just be like me and izzy you know so helps i ever do guided speed runs i feel like i've done that before but maybe just naming a guided speedrun and going through would be a good idea and you should crush him pretty quickly because once again your damage is really high i was supposed to supposed to do that uh all right we can try and get his aid going again we'll bug him and see how he does okay so a bump resist fire keep bumping up that damage and go here also battle darts can be worth a lot of money i mean look at that 6600 what do we need inside the mind of a speedrun video on youtube oh that's a nice name for it okay so now we'll go down to the river of flame and go looking for the forge because we can find an ammerone which of course amp here gives us a strength always very nice we can find a uh also watch your mercenary down here because these abyss knights will focus him we can find maybe like an ort rune or a ballroom which can just be nice for a little bit later just get some nice stuff we can get um perfect rubies which can be used for crafting or even flawless rubies which can then and that's always really nice when gold is so good for later on worst case you gamble with it and stuff but you know repairing and things later especially with teleport staff can be really helpful oh that's what we didn't do we didn't go grab the telly staff my bad i forgot to talk to you guys about that now some of you might not even want to use the telly staff you might be like lama that you're lame and silly and i don't want to do it and that's fine however if you would like to here's what you do you go here and you just look through these staffs and obviously now it's not going to be red so you have to look through all of them and you look for a staff that has teleport charges on it now i want to be very clear this right this is the perfect example the top skill is not a charge the bottom skill is a charge we can use chain lightning with the staff we cannot use teleport with this staff so we are looking for teleport charges if you shop this from level 19 to 23 it'll only be on the stabs that are red because they're unusable so that's a great place to or a great time to shop for it is you can do that a chew okay i can't um all right we'll get rid of mela bregas and that perfect and now we have a teleport staff because we shopped for it good job everybody you did it so why do you want this well let's say that you're in a tight area or there's a wall and you're right next to an exit or you just want to get into the chaos sanctuary quickly this is why you can want it now it is very expensive it's about 2 000 gold per charge used a little more maybe like 2500 so right there i probably just spent like 25 000 30 thousand gold just to teleport into the chaos sanctuary so it's not something that you're gonna just be casually using all over the place you can't repair it with row you have to repair it with ort and a chip gem but even then how many ort runes you gonna have to do all that right so it is very expensive you're not gonna be able to do that all the time excuse us how can i access that merchant you found in your stash ignore that merchant that is the you know it's a guy to play through we uh i know at the beginning of the run i said i'm not gonna grab gear out of there but i was i was saying that in the way of i'm not going to grab things that i can't just get if it's just wasted time of me just spending 10 minutes to shop a teleport stick but you were lying it's not that it was a lie i'm just saying i'm not gonna go grab nice things or things that i'm not already having you know like i had the malice rooms you know it's right there we're not grabbing blood fists and all that stuff just so be very careful against uh these guys what else have you lied about well there's this thing called d2r and you're not gonna believe what i knew so this is another boss that if you've got really high fire res you'll be like this is the easiest boss ever you know if you've got that rau rail helm you won't even have to kite at all you can just stand there and you'll be fine you'll crush everything it's really just did i pop this celia i think so yeah um really just one of those like if you have low fire reds it's you have to do a lot more kiting like you saw i had 34 fire res i had to do a lot more kiting on it okay i'm gonna try and kill off some of these abyss knights because once again for my mercenary they will focus him and make his life a lot worse otherwise he'll be pretty unphased running around here they also decrepify which is really annoying so uh i feel like it is steam some weird way probably not though once again i'd have to check the intricacies okay let's give him a potion as well make sure he's all healed up make sure we are we are all healed up and one of the important things always to remember with this character is there's going to be plenty of situations that arise in the future where we need to back out a little bit also aaron shield we're definitely checking that out we need to like back up a little bit and just fight the monsters a little slower because if there's 30 40 monsters sometimes it just gets to be too much for this character what do i have in there now oh okay there you go two open sockets 10 all res but higher chance to block so slight improvement we'll take because we will be going max block once again later for right now it doesn't matter get him thank you might as well give them that because why not and i'm gonna get rid of those two keep those guys this is also another boss that having thawing potions can be really useful on and why was my repair cost so high there because i was repairing this teleport staff remember teleport staff very high repair costs cool now let's go fight diablo so why do we want thawing potions because he will deal some lightning damage or some cold damage to us with his cold hits and we can tank a lot of his stuff but we do not do well against if we're cold so we gotta be careful there also his lightning attack and i really just want to make sure that his aid isn't taking too many hits so i try and keep his aid behind him and then i drink those thighs and then i give his aid potions and just like that you have completed act four congratulations how easy was that shift one two three four we'll do it for him okay we'll go ahead and upgrade the armor on our mercenary make him a little tankier we'll go back get the war staff grab all the things stay awhile still an act two don't worry ooh one to sorceress skills gold gold gold gold is good cool put that away and now we can even look at this if we want get our koi flo going so we're now level 25 and this is where you can actually also go and do a little bit of leveling especially with your players x piece as well so let's set players to three first we'll probably up it even further to be honest but we'll start there because once again we are level 25 if you are not 25 go back to act 3 flare jungle serena any of those temples whatever it is and get to level 25 now why once again like i kind of said but didn't fully explain in diablo 2 if you kill um if you are below level 25 the amount of experience you can get from killing monsters that are 10 levels higher than you is 5 or more 10 or more so basically you get no experience whatsoever from killing anything in act five or act one nightmare or anything like that yeah it was something they put in because they probably want people to avoid cheating experience get it making it easy whatever it was um and then at level 25 they get rid of that penalty so now people say but what about when you you know get rushed to hell chaos well you're still getting the five percent experience at level one two three when you're doing all that stuff there's just so much experience that five percent of it is still a lot of experience but you'll notice when you hit level 25 that's when your levels start blasting off again show the chart all right let me get the chart diablo 2 leveling [Music] okay okay here is the chart okay here is the chart so you can see this is act one act two act three act four act five the nightmare act one two three four five hell one two three four five and here is the percentage of experience for the average monster that you're getting based on what level you your character is right so you want to generally stay roughly in the blue right so obviously like okay you're you know we were like level 14 level 15 at the end of act one we were also on a higher player's count cool whatever we're still getting 68 58 experience it was okay then we went to act two we were getting good experience still then we went to act three then we went to act four but here this is it this is the the cutoff in levels 24 to 25 you can see when you're 24 the penalty just murders you so you have to hit 25 before you get to act five otherwise this is the act five column right here you're going to be getting 10 at level 24 and that's on average and you're just not going to have a good time you will never level up this chart is i don't believe counting rare like unique packs and stuff as well so yeah if you kill a unique pack that pack is going to be three levels even higher because champions are plus two levels of an area and unique packs are plus three levels of an area so you're gonna get even less experience killing a unique pack and uh you're just you're not gonna have a good time i promise okay so we will i'm gonna start boosting strength up and we'll kill shank shank is a very good monster to kill because once you kill shank all of the prices in act five get go down by half i always still have this on let's go ahead and swap that for sure dark use that chart youtubers that's right and so now we can come up here of your kind and we can kill these baddies right here and this is actually a fantastic experience source and a fantastic leveling place as well one of the reasons is it's a unique boss pack so like we said it's worth 500 experience and they're a little couple levels higher so that's always nice but additionally yep prices are literally double the price until you kill shank additionally it's pretty safe overall right like it's not a difficult boss pack to kill and it's just a nice simple boss there's decent drops because you're gonna get double drops from eldritch so he's gonna drop twice um two items every time and so i mean look at this like you just go and and once again if you wanna like up the players like okay let's try players five you can do that jab and spear skills i mean it's not anything there but it does have 21 mf on it which is very nice actually so that'll help us with you know maybe farming a couple things the early points that you're gonna get um from magic find are actually worth a ton so like now with this 21 magic find that i have that's actually going to increase my chance for blood fists and hizarus boots and gorefoots and all of those things by a lot it's actually a really big boost this is also a place where if you have choke and gas potions they can be useful out here as well thanks for all the help with d2 for sure so one of the reasons thanks darkcast for the 550. appreciate that um one of the reasons that we really i don't think that chart has cows on it now um one of the reasons that we also really like to cows are great for level 20 to 25 by the way but you have to kill bale to get there so yeah one of the reasons i also really like doing this is because when i'm fighting here it's this is pre-ancient and ancient is going to give me one level up to a certain level and then it'll just give me some experience right if it if it gets too high but this is just going to give me one level our anxious gives one level so if i'm fighting a monster and i have basically like you know i'm let's say i fight ancients at level 20 then i go to 21. but if i fight agents at level 29 then i go to level 30. and 30 is 29 to 30s a much bigger gap in terms of experience so you can actually save yourself a little bit of time uh and make a little nice by just like farming right here right you can very easily farm up to 30 just doing alternatives you'd like oh i want those in strength just pretend like they were strength not quite audio blood but like i say it's a nice way to to boost it up a little bit can't use this yet oh my god because the it gives one strength yeah you can even go up to 40 doing this if you really want like it really is amazing the gloves saigon's gloves would be fantastic because i get what 30 ias with a three piece set or two p i think even two pieces might give it so regardless like i say this is like you can just level to 30 35 whatever you want there it's really nice very simple so we'll kill some dudes send some barbs home if you want to save the barbs you can we're not actually going to be using that uh i guess technically we can use an ancients pledge early on and and we might actually still use it um now that i think about it just a little bit earlier so if you have a three open second targe or uh any palleted shield you can use it there additionally you could just go shop a random three open socket kite shield or large shield from uh pharah and that works as well and we'll just use that until we get our stuff except my ears are yearning for the sultry tones of your youtube voice well it's just have one regular voice so thank you woof saigon set bonus is 30 ias it's really disgusting for the gloves so i would love to get those gauntlets saigons is actually like a great set for this character this is alex yeah i they always have to fight everything and sometimes there's just spawns that are just so terrible just just don't it's okay to just go past them well i have some basic warcraft 3 experience but i don't have like warcraft 3 melee games experience like i said i would play like some random free-for-alls with my friends and i would just like mass eagles or you know just like whatever i didn't understand yeah i played footman frenzy i played uh what was that party game called um uther party yeah such a fun game um you know i played tons of dota so i did a lot of like customs in it i did more customs in starcraft though still a little boss group kill some of the minions but i just don't have much experience playing through the game game and so that's the that's where i'll need uh grubby's help yeah uther party was like so fun the dbz sega's and stuff lord of the rings bro some of those games were like you you'd play for like 10 hours i swear to god like those dbz games and stuff yeah that just a fire res amulet with some hair recovery but it's really nice but yeah feel free to get the ancients waypoint and stuff if you don't feel safe i have the frozen tundra right outside the ancients way so i feel like that's good enough yeah it's it's truly a a fantastic early game amulet like i love this is one of those like you hate nocus in end game when you find it because you're like oh i really wanted mares but like early game this is a great amulet a gift for you happy saint patties let's get a thawing potion i think he's fine actually but probably just a glitch but we'll give it to him anyways yeah it's just glitched thanks kerouac okay so then you can just beat some dudes down we do enough damage and have enough life that we really shouldn't have any problem with these guys and i can probably just stand in tank but let's just say that i do feel like they're doing too much damage you can always separate them off and if you don't want talk to spin on you you can just come down here and if you stand like this and have talent to the northeast of you he's not going to uh spin because he would spin off the edge of the map so there's a few different spots where you can kind of get him to sit down and chill yeah a lot of stuff early game is very impactful and it makes it really nice it's definitely like one of the best parts about diablo 2. i've been very bad about splits what percent of tricks i learned from chat not many how many did i find out myself okay i'm out i'd say more of them came from just like the other speedrunners all of us combined major majority of them were just all of the speedrunners combined working through different things so like skipping bail waves and stuff like that like that was definitely a multi-team effort there so here you can see like i went 27 to 28 but once again you can be even greater trick am i most proud of finding oh man i don't even know do you think hybrid amazon is good for pvp uh i that's probably okay what happened to the crazy sanctuary map jazz what crazy sanctuary map jazz and we're actually pulsing now for 45 to 50 holy fire damage as well so our pulse damage is actually starting to become relevant which is kind of crazy because we're not even really a pulse build we're really just grabbing that the holy fire just to have some added damage oh arcane sanctuary that should make chaos sanctuary um we didn't end up on anything fully conclusive couple percent happy how late are you streaming tonight what up brad um we're doing all of normal for this character then we'll probably do a tiny bit of farming little later right so don't worry about needing to get there right now or anything what do i need to be a zealot i am using zeal skill and an aura i don't understand this is this is what a zealot is my friend you can be a holy free zealot a holy fire zealot a fanaticism zealot this is just welcome to the zealot all right let's go ahead and grab some strength holy shock if you want grab those gatekeeping only physical zealots like okay so i want to get this waypoint uh i mean we can go more points into zeal i will um probably on the respec i'll go more points into it but generally it's just one of those um the more hits can lock you into animations and be really deadly especially when you don't have cannot be frozen and things like that if something freezes you and you're waiting for your zealot to hit three four whatever times hey yeah yeah it just takes forever you know it's awful and it doesn't really increase that much damage because it's i mean actually more more it's just you know giving you more hits which is more damage technically do i think you'll be able to reset willy-nilly or they'll only give me the three resets i don't know if they'll change it up to try and make it more i mean you still can because you have essences so you still technically have more recess here you know i i don't feel like they'll mess it up like that too much yeah i i feel like with mercenaries all the easy heroes wow hey man i'm a i'm a meepo player in dota at least i'm not like a zephyr main or something so the biggest thing i can say is get away from bail so that way you're not having to deal with um yeah that way you don't have to deal with getting decryptified also i don't think tremble is ever considered an easy hero also wave five is gonna be a giant pain in the butt if you don't wanna fight wave 5 you can totally skip it and the way you skip it is you drag it out here make sure you get the boss to follow there he is and then you just run back or teleport back inside and then the wave is skipped so against wave five that can be good to do um just because it crushes melees kind of but if you do want to try and fight them i mean it's not end of the world to do so you know especially if you can get them off like one at a time or something it makes it a lot easier it's just when you have to deal with like two or three at a time you're gonna generally be in a lot harder situation as you can see one at a time crushing the second number two and three step up way more difficult yeah they just lock you so being able to separate them off really helps and you can see they're worth okay experience but i'd rather just be players x you know players five players eight and go kill uh eldritch or something over and over you know yeah plus lister has spectral hit so he's gonna start chilling you again we can grab some thawings if we want for bale make sure we just have a safety portal and we can go fight mr bale and also if you want to get your mercenary bring him in you can but even that can be difficult because he'll usually die pretty quickly bale is a punk man okay so we are gonna run away so if bale spawns a clone first off clones just suck right so what you do is you go away from bail out of a screen and a quarter away from him for about eight seconds and then you go back to him his clone will have disappeared you can also go to town in that time whatever it is just make sure you don't have a portal up near him or you are not near him no holy shield we'll spec over to it later like i was saying i don't really like holy shield too much in normal because normal's just kind of easier it's something that we really are going to want to look for a little bit later on so and once we get to nightmare we'll go holy shield and we'll run into max block and all that stuff but in normal like we can just run big damage and just kind of crush everything yeah plus level one holy shield is like 30 seconds i think 40 seconds so you're just constantly recasting it it's it's an absolute nightmare i think it's it it is 30 yeah 30 seconds so it's like is it true he has half health when he clones the clone has way less health or takes way more damage i should say it's like 500 damage taken or something like that so generally i like to get like a lore maybe something else with plus pallet and skill on it whatever you know you get four five six points and holy shield now it lasts for a longer time it's not as bad and i mean look at that and if you have magic fine put it on and boom you're crushing you're absolutely crushing you guys look at that sub three hours you're level 29 almost level 30. killing bale i mean it's simple we got whitson's guard here as well nice half freeze on it great block rate on it simple so yeah i mean it's it's really like not too bad and then once again you know whenever you want you just go back players whatever you want staying normal here you know we just go uh kill the bad guys easy as that and now we're level 30. no problemo cool so yeah let's go ahead and just do a quick review of the character where we're at right now kind of where we're going all of that stuff um look at that 90 virus so right now our damage is insane 314 to 422 crushing damage um we have one point in zeal maxed out holy fire rest into resist fire we'll be respecting shortly of course into fanaticism now that we can do this and we'll start switching over into the whole physical damage smashing build um but you could see like through normal holy fire totally fine plenty of damage totally good um our stats right here i have uh just a little bit of decks i think i went to what 35 decks so i can use my flail um and then i have a little extra strength because i wanted to wear saigons and whatever stuff but 45 to 60 strength somewhere around there and you'll be totally fine rest vitality item wise we have malice we found koi for glory nothing crazy but it's all right we found nocuzin definitely very nice we have a two open socket shield to make a rhyme in later we have a stealth we've got some nice gloves 10 light res and 21 mf which is very good um 24 light res with some ar saigons for the life and fire res 90 attack rating on this ring uh and not really any good boots but they have half restoration and 10 fast rate recovery so you know they're not bad charms life life and some strength and mana um and we have a socket quest available to us so like i said you could sag at something if you wanted but i would recommend just going here and shopping like this for a three open socket shield so we'll go ahead and do this and just kind of get ourselves uh prepped for there we go put a socket in the woodsense guard and then we do the save the barbs quest and we have ral or tal and we have an ancients pledge so we can now take this ancients pledge into nightmare get our resistances nicer right there so we're not as worried when we go to nightmare um we can also talk to anya get her to give us the shield okay i think i want player seven still player seven pindle get um cool um so yeah so you can come there and you can see okay it's 23 cold and light not really anything crazy you know sure we just sell it whatever um but we've completed i think every quest we need in normal right we've got the socket quest we've killed or we saved anya we've done the den um we've uh done radiment did the act three ones all the act four quests yep so at this point we would just move on to nightmare and that'll be part two so i hope to see you guys there hopefully this was uh helpful and you guys enjoyed it and were able to um get yourself through night or normal get yourself set up maybe some of you guys found some blood fizz some sanders gloves and boots and all the cool items as well uh who knows but you know what just spend a little bit bit of time leveling once again we're just level 30 right here so you can go farm up and level up a little bit more if you want um you know just doing eldritch you can even do bail runs if you want but wave five's a little annoying so i would just do like players eight eldritch runs do a few more of those uh yeah and i'll see you guys over in
