man you know so it just started from the beginning when I think of oneone I say the beginning and um you know one of your one of your interviews with me was both inspiring um you know it was informative for my people and um it kicked off what what I what I say is Bill Haney business as usual you know what I mean this of that and now we here man we talked about all like we talked about your home where you come up at and everything that's what boss talk all about man everybody got to know exactly who Bill Haney was and all the stuff that he went through as a father you know dealing with your family your children and it was just dope I enjoyed it man absolutely absolutely and that's that's my whole thing is it's uh it's business as usual we got a lot of big things going on so you know I'm happy to always come by here especially when you guys in Vegas I'm not going to miss time or an opportunity to come out with you guys having me Queen so you you've got a lot going on now you guys just announced the Ryan Garcia fight man and that's that that was like wow okay well it's the Ryan Garcia fight or the Ryan Garcia Massacre whichever want it was crazy it can finally happen though King and we're happy to we're happy to announce Devin Haney versus r 420 ir20 I'm say it's all the smoke it's all the smoke and Ryan yeah Ryan been talkinging uh Deon has been talking it's the complete uh quintessential rubber match uh they've had three and three as amateurs yeah so this is game seven and what B what better waed to be decided on 420 how how what do you remember in the amateurs like what do you remember like for as when they when they were having those three and three fights I remember everybody showing up around the ring all of Ryan Garcia's people and I remember him being sad that's what I remember of course they'll say that they remember uh three wins or I mean three wins on their side but I mean listen it's got to be decided I know that it's it's quite the the grudge match between the Hanes and the garcas I know um Henry Garcia and his wife you know lovely couple uh have been very supportive towards Ryan uh throughout his whole career similar to what we've been with our family with uh Devon um so you know what I mean it's like a it's a meeting of the minds meeting of the families uh those two athletes are going to settle the score on 420 I seen you guys and it was it that the Super Bowl you guys stepped out y'all was just walking and all of a sudden Ryan Garcia comes out and he's talking and I see Devin and I see you standing there well you got to go back to when he first I I didn't know what going on you we were just chilling you got to go back he walked in when he first walked in and me and Deb looked at him cuz normally Ryan is cool calm and Collective not to say that he's not a heck of a athlete and a fighter but when he walked in with that leather coat on I knew it was some [Music] trouble I know it was some trouble but now I'm old school so I'm thinking I'm saying who is he coming in like and it gave me fony from the Happy Days and when the F come in you know it's all business it's all business so I'm looking at him and he came in hot boy he came in talking about what he was going to do and what he wasn't going to do and and what he wasn't standing for and me and Devin like oh you know what I mean kind of caught us by surprise you know what I'm saying but it's to be respected for sure um because you know what I mean he's uh he's that kind of fighter you know what I mean we don't take anything away from him you know he's a 12-time national champion I think in his last fight or his last loss one and only losses has come uh from javante Davis and fight that um that he wasn't the full Ryan Garcia uh cuz he was uh you know he had a weight uh a weight hydration issue yeah that was his excuse that was their suggesting the the um Team Davis suggestion so we want to dispel all that confusion of who the bad guy who the real guy is and we're giving him you know all everything he he's I heard that it was rumored that he had real issues or something before the fight or was was that just talk um you know you know uh they said that it was some rib issues you know I hope that the rib issues won't come in play here it's a healthy we have a healthy Ryan Garcia according to him and his team we also have a a Ryan Garcia that's able that won't be depleted yeah at 140 so I'm expecting a a healthy very hungry Ryan Garcia and you can see the way he came in unless the superpowers are in the coat that leather coat I want to go back and just ask you how hard was it negotiating everything and putting that fight together uh extremely difficult but um why you know um just because boxing um you know we have certain powers that be certain certain guys that's very influential in boxing who came out and wanted to go another Direction um and suggested that the that everyone go another Direction um but you know Allah makes no mistakes at all you know so uh we got a chance to now have what's being self procla as the number three in boxing according to Floyd Mayweather himself right we get a chance to uh beat up that face that so-called face of boxing that Floyd says that Ryan Garcia is as the number three wow how much how much self-control doeses it take for a boxer because the thing that I could never understand when boxers meet up and they're talking I call it [ __ ] talking you know face to face this close and not want to throw a punch at each other that must takes a lot of self like how how do they do that and can every boxer do that do any boxer actually just stand there and not say anything cuz do all boxers know how to [ __ ] talk if you if you ask them see everybody is saying it's staged and it could be staged then all you got to do is ask our opposing teammates and opponents ask them what would they do if they could catch me by myself you know what I mean they going to tell you I'll wear his ass out or I do this or I do that so or with the same way you know so um this is [ __ ] is serious um you know of course it's a sport um we try to U Channel all of the energy that's going into that fight on that night for the fans but I mean the [ __ ] can pop off at the supermarket it can pop off anywhere not that we don't want you don't want it to do you don't want it to be that but energy is high and you know what I mean adrenaline rushing all yeah man and they be coming for me though Queen I don't know why they be coming for me they want to invite me to the bathrooms and all kind of [ __ ] we heard that we saw that what what was that conversation like man I don't know listen but to you that that's like saying to a woman you know give me a second me and him is going to the bathroom together that just don't make sense you going to get mad you you going to get out where you get mad at if if it's that serious so um you know like I said everything is is is extremely competitive I think both camps and teams and us we've said things back to them in response to what they said to us because I have the the youngest Undisputed champion in history two division the only man to cross the pond and get the belt cross back upon cross back across the pond and defend um you know we broke down all narratives the reason why that I say that this fight is a very important fight and it's a real fight is because it's for the WBC World lightweight title um when when I was talking about the other fight being with Ryan Garcia and being an exhibition I said when time you take a weight and you add or subtract and you add all these other variables then it becomes an exhibition and not a sanctioned World title fight wow I I I just remember uh Ryan said he was going to make you throw that towel in you know and I'm just trying to understand uh uh he going to have to keep that same energy I think that was a little bit before you know everything was signed and sealed now it's time to put up a shut up well like everybody does they say what they I should be doing what you're going to have to be doing is concentrating on Devon like every 31 of the other opponents wasn't able to do when he start tattooing on your face that's what you going to have to concentrating on because the one thing about boxing that I tell all the parents around the world is prepare your son and nobody when on that night it's them against their opponent not against the promoter the broadcaster the fans nothing will save them keep putting in that work wow I so thought that the um tank fight would have came before the the Garcia fight because I remember the last time when he fight lenko yeah no tank never wanted to fight Len I'm just kidding he didn't want to fight him no he didn't want to fight him wow tank ain't want to fight nobody Queen and you know that then listen then why did he jump up in the in in the ring that was Shakur Shakur Stevens that was tank that was one of Tanks uh bodyguards one of his minions yeah his yeah cuz he was blocking and they all blocked they get together and they block at different times and say different things you know what I mean cuz I'm like he didn't say it to his face heum he waited till he left the ring to say it yeah it's like a Bruce Lee karate flick with Dev at the bottom and him happen to work through all these narratives to get to the top you what I mean and it's one after another after another you know what I mean and that's the crazy part because Deon is Young and he's getting stronger and stronger he's moving he's getting his each fight is progressively getting better and better you know what I mean yeah and I love that man and I when I see that last that last fight re that that fight was man that was brutal I wanted to be there so bad I that been my I I had already assed me and black him and at the last minute I didn't get to come but boy let me tell you y'all did well up there yes sir King we told him we told him catch Devon now cuz he's only getting better and I'm only getting more handsome and smiling more and smiling more and being more happy about representing the best fighter in boxing wow most skilled fighter in boxing the boxer the fighter that's giving you the fights uh when you want them wow I seen you standing there and I was like man when when the when the when the standoff and and and it was there and this big bodyguard dude was standing there but you didn't you you know you was not Shook at all straight focused what was that like being in the midst of this whole situation it was chaotic it felt like something was going to happen any moment when Ryan Garcia stepped to you know walked up like that or when he came like he wanted to smoke well that's the one thing that that God gives us is that innate thing to be a father and and there are times that I don't believe that a mountain can move me when I'm standing in in the gap for my son you know what I mean yes sir and um and that's just the way that I operate you know what I mean in other situations you know what I mean you might have a case of fear but when it comes to being a dad and representing for your kid there's nothing that's going to move me out the way when he's moving in the right direction that's hard man and the thing got to I got to just say man is I commend you on that that that father something else man how do you how do you deal with them rounds and going round and was you I one thing I wanted to ask you let me go here for a second while I got it on my mind from the jump was you always staged to be a trainer or was this just something you took on when your son decided he was going to be boxing well that's those many hours and hours and hours of just just kind of reviewing the tapes and watching him and his preparation and then we would pick another coach to learn something more so we didn't have a sticking point and then we kind of just developed this hany style of fighting um after like like I always said working under the Floyd Mayweather seniors through Roger Mayweather remember you know Eddie Mustafa it's a uh coach Billy Giles from New York who who had Hector kamacho so this this style that we have has been developed over quite some time from taking from the baddest dudes in the game yeah and you know what I always say to that guy to say who is Bill Haney I said well who's the lame that taught him the game and where did he learn to play that's hard man I like that you what you got what you got so okay cuz I'm learned cuz as from the last time I we interviewed you it's like I'm just learned all about this boxing world and it's been amazing but um stepping up in ranks cuz you have to step up in ranks and step up in weight class to be able to fight other Fighters what is um his ultimate goal like what weight classes do you want to Finish Well right right now Queen when you're when you smack de in it you can only look at that next fight that next fight with Ryan Garcia means so much to both Devon his brand the legacy of of him as a fighter and you can't overlook him Ryan is coming in hungry and determined at 140 with a vicious left hook Queen you ain't seen his left hook but if you expecting that and you know that he has a vicious left hook there are defenses that you practice to know to stay away from it am I correct absolutely but uh heavy is the head that wears the crown it's easy to go and say you going to do it but you got to do it under the lights and we've seen so many times that the fighters that are supposed to do things were up the apple cart got upsetted by guys that came determined um so you know it's uh it's nothing to take lightly you know I hope that everyone comes out at 420 and watch and see you know what I mean yeah and and and yeah yeah he's going to do it and it's just like I said it's the thing is that you got to going to do it Mr Garcia 420 man I I just you know I seen you interviewing where you was talking and and of course a year ago I spoke to you about Bernard Hopkins he walks up he says something about going to the b or go come here or whatever what the heck was that about like I thought you you know I thought that would now be moved on and you know what I mean what is going on with that uh you know what I'm I'm not sure you nor do I nor do I care you always stay you right nor do I care you know what I'm saying it is what it is I got a job to do you know you stay focused yeah yeah I'm blessed to have the job that I have and and I have one goal in mind and that's you know do you think it's because a lot of times people come for you because when you're on the top man people want to knock you off that that high mountain that that place where everybody would like to be well I mean I think if you knock off that then you knock off the idea and the no that a dad can do it you know you want you want to have this this uh this belief that you have to be an ex fighter you had to be in a promoter you have to do that to uh to be of service to your son and if they knock me off then they knock off that idea and they say see I told you that would never have worked and just as much as they want to knock me off I want some dad or some daughter to look at our look at us and look at that story and say yeah we can do it cuz we saw them do it wow it's like I think it was Sean por said that that uh the worst dressed man in sports now what are you going to say how could you miss a Sean and I'm sitting over with thisit he said something positive he was like like uh like tank would never fight you know uh Devon I think that's what I heard him say like people know depending on his depending on the suit Sean might say something different you know what I mean cuz yeah when he had on the the other suit I heard him say something but don't worry about it Sean you know I'll be back on your show soon if you let oh God man you know it's boss talk one onone so they got to get it real they got to get it real man I just like I said I know already man I'm a big supporter man I love the energy bro I just love the way that you guys move as Father and Son man and that's crazy because I don't think Ryan Garcia his father be there but he's not ringside is he he's not a coach or manager Henry come out the Shadows boss talk oneone ising for Henry Garcia I know you you've been there from the beginning where you at come out come out the Shadows Henry what is the and you can't give me all the jewels but what is what is the preparation like what is Deon like right now for as going into this stage where he's at now going into okay by I got to be ready by April 20th what we heard that uh Muhammad Ali used to wrestle alligators and he used to do every kind of all kind of non-traditional things I don't know for Mr garciaa since you got that mean left hook you know we going to bring out some other stops you know I'm sure I'm going let Deon tell you what we doing but yeah we getting ready for him we will be prepared 420 and it's going to be fireworks wow smok and hot how much is it okay um for a boxer is it true that in order to stay really focused number one you can't be party you can't be drinking you can't be doing any of those other things you just have to stay straight training eating right and working out is that true that's something different that the coach has to do I don't I might can do a little bit of them things right no I'm just kidding but the um the fighter you he'll have to speak for himself I obviously with the with a task um you know so serious um that I would like for the fighter to be focused I'm focused I'm not doing any party I'm eating partying I'm eating right I'm I'm working out I'm doing all the things so I can be quick with my thinking so I would expect for the fighter to be doing doing the same thing and and Devon um he's a constant professional we've always seen with him now he's getting better and better and better under the lights so I expect the same thing I just I I seen also it went viral Devin and Terence Crawford wrestling just you know messing around no Terence was wrestling with my with the security and listen he don't want to hear that he wants everybody to forget about my friend and my buddy Terence picking up my our security guard well that what it was cuz I but backwards when it comes to the media and and I told Terence car I said Terence you leave the security alone that's what you leave the security alone I thought that was yeah cuz Terence got too much money but he could be a security guard in another lifetime if he wanted to like this he about like this but yeah oh but he moves Ms though I think he were L he will give the whole security team in front of the door or on the outside trying to come in hell he love it yeah he loves it he loves it so I had to I had to tell I thought it was D but it was security yeah no that's that's my that's my brother I got a lot of respect for but and um yeah but if you had leave the security alone wow see I was going to ask about that because no I was going to ask about this cuz the last time um since the last time we spoke to you you had a Terence Crawford and Errol Spence fight and that was something that all Dallas was talking about right and you being a professional like how you are what did do you think happened to Errol Spence that day um just a lot of things caught up with him you know what I mean according to him and according to his team just that whole thing that he's now have he now has admitted to while Terren has lived a life of hunger and and getting to this point I think Earl was already at that point even in his mind he was had already been there even with the teams and all that but terance wasn't the team wasn't they were hungry and they went into it of a different mindset and I think it showed on that night it definitely showed on that night man and I just you know like I said any of these big fight nights come up and you start to you know anticipate it's just so much man April's going to come like that 420 is going to come like that it does all the it comes quick it ain't going to be long I'm pulling back up too I'm be that's going to be my first fight to I'm going to kick it I'm coming through me and the queen I'm hanging out I got to get some pictures with before the fight and after the fight to win we going to have a great time you know what I'm saying AB King absolutely this will be the one to come to for sure it's it's it's all smoke I see like he's a big Ryan Garcia is a big internet type you know people on the internet they they really really Thrive and watch him a lot like that's going to bring a lot of different eyes to what Deon has already accomplished being the de the champ man I just like I said I don't know how how far would this fight go will it go Ryan is extremely big personality both inside and outside the ring I mean to take on challenges like javante tank Davis and Devon Haney speaks volumes about the kid you know what I mean I don't think anyone else can say that that they've done that that they raise the hand to both of those guys so um you know I give him a whole lot of credit I give uh Derek James down there down there right a whole lot of credit you know what as well for accepting this fight um and and I know that they're going to be prepared and I know they hungry is hell you know what I'm saying so um we going to be ready for him you think be a knock out I asking going be it's going to be a vicious beat a vicious beaten and and if Ryan wants to fall down and just St and lay there or does he want to just not come out again or do they want to throw in the towel but it will be a vicious beating for sure wow just tell me how how did you prepare when you when you guys uh moved up in weight class for that regious fight how did you prepare being that he was moving up you know um I think it was no no no real any more prep preparation normal the normal I knew that we had we had five more pounds that we could land you know sooner we can land the plane what we call the land the plane sooner you know what I mean we could see the runway um sooner than you know before at 35 so uh no other real preparation um going into it I knew um the Devon is the best fighter in the world you always the best skill set when you talk about the best jab you talk about the best feat you got a right hand that sent Antonio Moran into um yesterday year and um you know was The Knockout of the year so um you've getting a chance to see all a fighter that's uh equipped with everything an array of uh uh talent and you know what I mean an arsenal of weapons so I'm you know I'm just ready for this this fight 420 it can't come 20 man it's crazy it's smoked out Lo out time you know what I'm say smoke out Lo out there you go I want I want to ask you about uh after that fight I remember the re fight you was like that Mayweather period is over it was like that's done said and done it's it's time for Dev and Haney I didn't just say calm like that I said it's over it's the Devin Haney era that's what it is it was then and now it's now wow I'm just as excited yeah that's big for you to say that though like real I know it's real but a lot of time PE a lot of stuff be real bill but people don't have the goal to go out and just say it like that with the energy that you say with you like what make you come had it like that do you want people to know give Deon the respect he deserve for doing the things that he has done in his career if I'm lying punch me in the mouth or put him in the ring with the heaven proved me wrong whoever that may be whoever your favorite fighter is cuz we take on the world that's hard yeah we represent the world yeah we done done stuff that that Floyd hasn't done and that's become Undisputed and then go and defend it again to make that to put that stamp on you know we didn't grab the belts and run we put that stap on who we are and then before we left we offered some money again to whoever else they wanted to take on and and you know it was it was getting tight you know what I mean but heavy as the head to wear the crown in order to stamp it you got to stick around you got to hang around that block to make sure it's yours before you Turf hop no strike that man don't know about Turf hopping so when Devin and um cuz from what I heard or understand didn't Devon also fight um Garcia before when they were younger yeah yeah yeah that was that was the 3 three that was yeah that was Queen that I don't like to say it but it was 33 the yes it was 33 the boy was both of them was good but now the professional ranks is something else something we yes and it's to be decided yeah both of them had had enough have had enough time to groom and get the fights that they wanted um of course um I think you know Ryan has been in front of a big crowd Devon has been in front of a big crowd um so now it's the rubber match it's game seven wow I you hear a lot of people from Roy Jones Jr to everybody they keying in and saying this and saying that like I think every time de steps up and does what he does they come up with different things to try to figure out ways to you know debunk what happened or you know how tough is it you know and how does his how is his I know his mindset is dope because he continues to keep going and keep going and keep going but just how is it after a fight when Devon has went through these Challen I get so much love from the Roy Jones's of the world yeah for sure who's been a who's been a big mentor to and and and and Us in general um so I think um the what what everyone hears in the comments and stuff like that the trolls you know the Hired Guns for those that we've been on their helmet you know what I mean I think that they have you know Bots and they have people that create narratives but that's not the general consensus of the way people feel wow you know what I'm saying um but you know I I I I see that certain media Outlets are now starting to say um there they don't there's no face of boxing and they don't believe in a face of boxing yeah when that when that face started looking like Devon Haney you see what I'm saying so now when when Deon got the Undisputed then belts didn't matter and you had Champions come and saying this so um but it's the real ones like yourself king queen just really because that's what makes up this boxing is the people you know what I mean so M so no matter how much the executives and the coaches and the managers try to steer away from their agenda I know that ultimately the people um aren't fools I say that you can't you know piss on the people's head and tell them that it's rain you know what I mean eventually they're going to say you know what's happening you know what I mean congratulations man on all the success man and I my brother he just he always my brother calls me he's like man Deon did good man you know like he know I'm always rooting and he we'll just talk about it man it's just something that you know to be the youngest guy like that and still to just keep stepping up to challenges and dealing with all these different things and levels that he's at you heard what he said you're aging yourself out definely youngest the youngest the youngest boss say you're not like that you're not like that exactly exactly and let me tell you though you know for all them you know you know them uh um guys that say that they're tough cuz they're on the Block doing it no the tough guys are the ones that got off the block that are choosing not to do it the tough guys or never went to the block to do it those are the guys because because all you tough guys that were like me you going to find yourself having to start over when you look over and timed and left your side you know so knock it off man to start celebrating these guys just really putting in this work because that's where my life turned around you know what I'm saying when my when Deb decided to listen to me and not be me and be him and now I can be me and we get to the money when you think about like all of the hagglers the uh you you know all of the ones man sugaray and all those guys what how much do you ever hear any from from like sugaray and those guys on on Devon yeah well listen they all um they all contribute a lot you know what I mean to our growth and our development um obviously right now we have to focus on the Devon Haney era you know what I'm saying we know they had theirs you know and um and they wern't worrying about us so we you know we we ain't worrying about them what we what we're on is um a straight path and a goal to the Mount Rushmore boxing and and hopefully his face will be where one of their faces are wow that's that's love man so um I have a question because I remember when he fought Lum manchenko right I was posting when he won and all of that and the comments in there is like a lot of people and I was so mad cuz a lot of people felt like Devin did not win that fight a lot of people was talking about well he um lenko was wrong and stuff like that why do did people feel that way was they was there was no fans and I say lenko I say lenko cuz he's not going to give you the credit whether you beat him or not he didn't lost three times and he ain't lost none so what is the people talking about it were three judges that voted unanimous unanimously against him so what was I supposed to do and they were three judges that didn't look like me they looked like him so I mean how much more are we supposed to be you see what I mean we can't we chased you around the world right we went and got all the belts came and gave you a shot right in the 12th round right you did not fight like you were supposed to be fighting in the first round so in the 12th round Deon was pulling up on you and you was pulling away so that's where your your Undisputed your Undisputed opportunity did too it left at the same time your heart your courage and everything else Mr Reno yeah I'm not going to give you no credit if you don't accept the loss that you took that's real yeah from three judges yeah when is it going to sink in when have you ever seen somebody win go to the locker room and start crying I I wouldn't care sorry for him I would care if I was on my last Dicky donut and I was going to have to sleep in a in a in a hollow log and drink muddy water if I want I want I'm not going nowhere and crying yeah my my chin is going to be up high and everything but when you got all kind of marks and bruises on your face and you replay and you see all the body shots and [ __ ] tell the truth Mr Neno and get your name back get Leno back in your name you definitely something else man like like it was no question on the Rees fight at all y'all came back and redeem that that that I forgot about the other one to be honest with you because of the way you guys stepped up and like I said who you made the decision that you guys was going to step up and uh you and Devon of course together like that I just keep going back to that because a lot of people shy back from that will will uh javante Davis move up in weight class will these guys try to come and get that belt from uh Deon that's the whole game well if they do anything right they would need to because Devon dominated the lightweight division yeah the Devon Haney era in the Devon Haney era everybody was there it was the hottest division it was Kings Four Kings it was a an emperor it was a uh uh his majesty it was uh it was a whole lot of people and at the end when the dust cleared the smoke settled it was Devon Han wow and I'm going to go back to the Ryan Garcia uh just for just for a minute I want to say like with the with the way that everybody was so you know it was it was tension um when we get to that that time when they have to do the weighin and everything man I'm always looking at those times man he turned it in attention cuz when he came in he looked like the F from happy days it was all you know he walked in he had the joint on he had the black shirt the the the you know the leather coat and I said damn Nyan and then he started up you started it and you got it started early early it was early and if he didn't want us to be concentrated and get focused he shouldn't have started the [ __ ] up that's what I'm saying like now you going to a weighin and everything in April and doing all of this stuff every the way everything is rolling now it's straight Focus time you know you're damn right cuz he should have kept us sleep cuz we yeah yeah we didn't think that confident Ryan gar said but we knew that because he didn't have any of the weight stipulations he didn't even that so he would be a more confident fighter than he was against tank but I didn't know how much more confident I see the cover is blown Garcia we going to be ready 420 because he came in with a plan he came in to do that it seemed like he he was ready he was he was ready to show out I was like and that's why when when Deon say you're not like that you're not like that like I know you you know that was the word I got from that when but it was either it was either Ryan and like I say with with Ryan having the the ability to now hydrate up him be himself and all that that's the new Ryan or it was the leather coat wow it is probably the the leather coat I don't he said super he said superpowers in the Le Co super probably you might have superpowers he got he can't fight let go no you might got superpowers but he can't f that Co that's what I was going to say F that fighting that 420 going to have to come out that Co I tell you one thing is we don't underestimate you Ryan with that hell of a team over there with uh Derek James you know D was coach of the year and all kind of stuff he ready if his shorts if his shorts that he wore that night as leather then you know he probably took it from the coach so that he don't give him no idea Queen gave him my idea okay okay okay you gave my idea I mean you like like how what do you say to that kid man he watches y'all he thrives and watches one to want a box you know what I mean that that 10 or 11 year old I was just talking to a guy downstairs and he was like man I started at 20 but if I have started at 10 to 12 I'd have stuck with it and I might have been something way more special like what do you say to that kid that that see what you guys are doing and th would love to do what you guys do well I think anytime that you go to a gym and you're 10 years old you're going to need someone to come in as sign you up for sure and and whoever that person is that sign you up trust in them you know what I mean cuz it's not always about how you going to get um to the top of the staircase it's all it's more about what that next step is and if the person had the wherewithal to bring you to the gym right and they knowing okay y y'all can grow together in the sport instead of you dropping off you know person a parent or something dropping them off like a barber shop and is expecting them to get a good haircut you know take take the kid to the gym right and shop around ask everybody you know how many times you've been doing any Cuts or tell them show you some things you know what I mean um research a little bit and you know for that for that 10-year-old 11y old just keep fighting baby just keep fighting you going to be all right you know what I mean somebody is going to discover your hard work um and that's what it is most you know the the running the committed commitment with a diet things that you can control right and then the the part where a bill Hy or Derek James comes in and gives you that secret sauce bless your heart that part is on the way but but stay focused yeah and and like I said those kids man they they look up to you guys cuz you see you you guys are everywhere you're on TV you're doing something that that's creating history for a lot of different kids all the way up to you kids have been boxing already that's 17 16 they looking inspired to do what you guys have have done you know what I mean that's what means the world to us that is something else that mean that means the world to us I think that that's what's our motivation to do it you know most is that we were told that we couldn't do it that we would have to um bring in someone to help us um and I'm saying help me be a be a dad or help me be a trainer help him be a fighter you know help that that Synergy um and I think that if that was the case then it would be so deflating to so many other parents and kids around the world so we kept pushing and we here baby we here yeah how hard is it cuz I know a lot of these boxes are friends how hard they're not friends with us quen I'm not saying but L we're not friends with them they're friends with each other but we're not friends with them none of them zero none of them none of them and I could attest that I got phone calls prove it but okay but example so he goes up in weight class right hypothetic later on and you say y'all are cool with Terence Crawford so later on like he gets up to that rank where he might have to fight him how is up boxers who are friends fight each other they decided long time ago even with Devin and and with Devin and and and Bud the age disparity the weight disparity we're not going to play with the people with no with no [ __ ] us trying to get views or trying to get clicks off each other you know what I mean that's not something that's realistic we got enough people that is realistic just running around right around running around here we applying pressure to you know what I'm saying but as far as um being friends with anyone and all that no no there's there's none of that okay you know what I mean and I hope y'all ain't invited nobody downstairs no we don't know nobody some [ __ ] no we ain't fighting nobody but man I just like I said when I think about just coming up to Vegas man seem like the new era is the bill Haney Devon Haney era talking about y'all are all here when you come up to Vegas now you know you guys I'm like okay I'm I'm looking to I'm checking in I'm saying where is Bill where where's de there man I got to come by that gym man you got to get me come by absolutely got to Che it out absolutely we we're in cap right now so if you anytime you guys come between 9 and 420 you going to get it it's it's smoking hot looking good too he looking good he looking good if you thought you if you thought he was looking good then imagine 100% better wow 100% better he's the only fighter that gets better like that after a few months you like after a few months how far is the space between fights it what's a good sweet you know SP months no is it like 8 months s months month I think you want to do it you want to do it every at least four to 6 months to six mons months yeah four to six months that way you get in two or three fights that's an active fighter you know what I'm saying two or three times a year yeah yeah fight you need to promote them so and how soon um would you recommend that a fighter start training before a fight to be you know efficient enough for that fight um you want to I think they say you know 8 to 12 weeks um but you know I say listen if the fight means that much then you want to be as prepared as you can you want to start preparing right now and you want to stay ready so you ain't got to get ready for fight after fight after fight and that that isn't always training some times it's it's also with your um um with your your your sleep and your your eating your diet in because you know what I mean it's um it's work to sleep as well and not get up and walk around and you know what I mean and do all those things so you know you want to you want to have a good recovery and is it part in like um for a good okay just like you say sleep all of that what do you all do to prepare mentally do you um I'm not saying um a counselor psychiatrist just to be able to get out mess out of your head so you can function well I say as a trainer as a trainer we try to do as much as we can to help with the fighter with that mental thing but ultimately you have to ask The Fighter um but it's it's about uh the trainer also and the team being uh mentally clear on the agenda that it's not about us and it's not about that it's about Devon who's preparing for war right now so I'm totally locked in uh with him and um you know I'm sure he's locked in on his own assignment at hand is Yoga good for a boxer I hear yoga is I hear yoga is good but you know anytime that you you settle down and you just get grounded you know what I mean um you know what I mean I I I vote for that as well you know I haven't um experienced a whole lot of yoga but but I definitely um have some time where I just sit down and focus yeah what about merch and and just promoting the brand like that like how do I get that merchandise for you know de Devon Haney merch okay and cuz I got a store in in in in Texas for sure and I love to have some of that merch in my store you know mean just so I can make sure people see that we represent cuz we represent the people you support us all around you know I mean right absolutely and that's something that we're going to grab a hold to in 2024 and I'm going to make sure that you that you get a hold to it you know what I mean we just wanted to be fly and be exclusive so a lot of times we haven't put it in that right hand and press that button because we we're not 100% sure that it's going to roll out the way we want it to yeah I just want to be a part of it because I know already like I said those little kids I always go back to the kids man they want to be like that so they're going to support that they're going to come in and hey they want to wear that they want to they see the de they watched him a long time they want to they want to support and I know they do I would like some boss talk merch as well stop playing man you can always get it man abolutely hey you don't you don't see that representation of positive male role models on TV as in a dad they always showing the dead beat dad the dad who left the kids the dad who this that whatever good Queen thank you because we we're not discriminating against any best moms podcast because you know if there if there was a best mom podcast wouldn't we be setting up chairs we be setting up chairs we do it all the drop offs and and everything right we're forced Happy Valentine's Day but we're forced happy Mother's Day Christmas all that everything is always yeah it's focused to go where it needs to go but I just commend you for even putting something together like that because there is a lot I hire people or I deal with people fathers single fathers there's a lot of them out here and there's a lot of them like they want to do the right thing and they do the right thing but they don't get the recognition because it's a lot of time focused on the dead be that's always tell you it's always talking about who didn't do what instead of who doing what they need to be doing well in the best dad Army we going to change the narrative we're going to work together in this fight to be the best dads that holding Court podcast and he was talking about cuz when he first had her he was 15 years old that's funny and he was um going over school work with her like math and he was like he did not know how to do it so he did it the best he could and how he would explain the math to her he was like okay it's like you have a brick cuz he was in the streets you have a on the road selling this or whatever know it was it I cracked up so hard because but she said I got it and I did so good but he did whatever he knew in order to explain her schoolwork to her but it was just a crazy analogy that I'm like wow well he's invited to be a member of the I'm definitely already as well so you know what I mean that's uh that's the movement and that's what I'm very passionate about about right now I just the last
