SALVAGE Ford Ranger Detail | DIRTY Truck Transformation

today we're detailing and finishing the restoration on my $500 Ford Ranger project the other day it looked like this and ran very poorly but as you guys saw in the last episode we did some much overdue mechanical restoration and even tried our hand at some bodywork now we'll focus on cleaning up the truck and there's a few extra challenges because of the danger Rangers salvage past so let's get to it so right off the bat I'm starting this detail by inspecting all the different surfaces and this driver side door is looking rough if this tile has the sticky residue from the decals that were on it the rest of this truck is covered with caked on dirt and moss [Music] I started also cleaning the canopy first before I even fixed the truck because I was most likely gonna remove it [Music] now that the canopy was a lot cleaner I moved on to the wheels before addressing the pain and as always links to anything I use in the video can be found in the description [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] it's gas cap time [Music] after the wash we're looking a whole lot better but we still got a lot of work to do we need to address this glue as well as various scratches and swirls in the painting to do so I'm using this magic eraser and afterwards I'm going to clay bar the truck and do a one-step polish for most areas the areas that need more attention are getting heavy cut compound as well [Music] you [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] after the outside of the truck was polished and sealed I jumped to the inside to finish assembling the interior it really wasn't too dirty in here for a work truck so I'm simply giving it a good vacuum and cleaning any of the staining on the seats before using my all-purpose cleaner and my McGuire's protectant on all of the plastics [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] once this trim is installed the danger danger is officially complete check out this before and after and stick around to see bonus footage from the next day [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music]
