- In this video, I will be talking about
the destiny MasterCard and this is a credit card you can use to build credit if you have no credit, or if you need to build up
your credit score again, rebuild your credit, this could
be an option for you also. So the destiny credit card
is a good starter card if you've never had credit before, you can start with this credit card to help build up your credit score. Also, it is geared for
people rebuilding credit, but specifically for people that have gone through
a recent bankruptcy. And destiny is willing to work with individuals that have gone
through a recent bankruptcy. So this is one of the reasons why this particular credit
card could be right, very right for some people. And I'm going to go
over different features and benefits of this card so that indeed at the end of this video, you can decide for yourself whether this will be
the right card for you. Also if you're worried
about hard credit inquiries, you really don't need to worry about it because there is a
pre-qualification application that is only a soft poll credit inquiry. So this is a good way of figuring out if you're able to get this card without it negatively impacting your credit score. If you decide to go with the
full complete application, then you will have a hard credit inquiry. But if you're merely checking out to see through the
pre-qualification application, there will be no hard credit inquiry. Is destiny a good credit card? Well, it is a MasterCard
with all the benefits of a MasterCard without
the security deposit. It will report to all
three credit bureaus. And with responsible
use, you have the chance to improve your credit history, even if you have gone
through a recent bankruptcy. So overall, this is a great starter card for certain individuals that are in need of building up their credit score. You have to understand
that many times people that have low credit scores or no credit need to start somewhere to
build up their credit score. And once you do, you can
move on to those types of credit card applications
that have no annual fee and have really good reward programs. So what bank is destiny credit card? Well, it issued by the
same bank as Milestone, and the Indigo MasterCard, which I have already reviewed
the Indigo MasterCard, and if you'd like to check it out, that link will be in the description. But these three cards are issued by Genesis FS Card Services. So what credit score is needed
for the destiny MasterCard? Well, as you can imagine, if they're going to approve people that have recently gone
through bankruptcies or who have had less than
perfect credit history, then the credit score approval
is going to be rather low. I don't see any problem with
people with 500 credit scores getting approved for
the destiny MasterCard. But if you're not sure like I said before, check out the
pre-qualification application, and you'll learn if they will accept you into the program without ever
seeing a hard credit inquiry. Like I said before, this
card is not a rewards card, you cannot earn cashback and you cannot earn points
to redeem for other things. This card is specifically
used to help build credit. And it will require that you pay an annual fee right over here. There's really no way of avoiding that. Destiny MasterCard
credit limit, what is it? Well it is low, it starts at $300. Like I said before this card
is for rebuilding credit, and many people have less
than perfect credit history. So they're going to be cautious and set a low credit limit
for people that get approved. Now with this card, you can call back and see later if you can
get a credit line increase. That might be a possibility, but that annual fee that you
are charged the first year, you're going to see that
on the first statement, the first month you have this card. So you're going to have less than $300 for our credit limit the first month. But after you pay that you're
going to be working with $300. It's not a lot, but it is
enough to help you get started and help you raise your credit score. So is this video on the
destiny MasterCard helping you? If it is, I'd appreciate it so much if you could hit that like button, if you want to see more
credit card reviews or ways that you can help
increase your credit score, make sure to subscribe to this channel. And if you know of anyone else that can be helped with this
video, feel free to share it. So do I recommend the destiny MasterCard? I do for some people. I think this is especially a good card for people that have just gone through a recent bankruptcy because oftentimes, that can be difficult to
get that first credit card after bankruptcy and
the destiny MasterCard is willing to work with people
that have gone through that. It is also an option for people that have no established credit history and an option for people that have less than
perfect credit history. This is a way you can get back to on time responsible payments that will ultimately help raise your credit score. But as far as saying
whether I recommend it, I do recommend it but I recommend that you compare the destiny MasterCard with other credit cards out there. This is an unsecured credit card. However, I do suggest that you look into secured credit cards because they're not like
how they used to be. These cards often have no annual fee, security deposits that
are easily refundable, and some of them even earn rewards. So you should take a look at those. Also, some people might think that they need the destiny MasterCard, but they might actually have
fair credit at this point. So you might want to look at
something like credit wise, you do not need to have
a capital one credit card because credit wise is
offered by Capital One, you can sign up for credit
wise or the discover scorecard, which is the discover version
of credit monitoring for free. Or you can try credit sesame, which I've done a review
video on talking about it. These are free ways of taking
a look at your credit score. Understand what your credit score is, see if you can get multiple
different interpretations of what your credit score is
and if it's in the fair range, you might actually be able to get a fair credit card some
of them have no annual fee, like the Capital One Platinum MasterCard, that fair credit card has no annual fee, and later people have upgraded to the Capital One Quicksilver card that earns 1.5% cashback. Or you can start off with the
Capital One QuicksilverOne which is the fair credit
version of Quicksilver, and you could start earning
cash back rewards right away. I just did a review on
that card last week. So if you want to learn
more about that card, check that out. It'll all the links to
the different credit cards I've talked about today will be located in the description below this video along with a playlist
for secured credit cards and a playlist for fair credit cards. So what I'm really
encouraging people to do is take a serious look at
the destiny MasterCard, and also compare the destiny MasterCard with different credit cards
for rebuilding credit. And I think you'll put
yourself in a good position because you yourself knows
in your particular situation, what credit card offer is ultimately going to be the best value for you. So thank you so much for
