hmm you guys ever rooted for a team your entire life and the one good thing to ever happen to that team wants out not because of anything like in your control as a fan but because of incompetent leadership of a spoiled rich man child that took over the franchise that has none of his father's business acumen or really just intelligence period say what you want about bob mcnair at least he could run a team at least he could hire good people well mostly bill o'brien worked for a while but cal mcnair allowing jack easterby to weasel his way into this team and completely dismantle it within two years trading away deandre hopkins letting i mean apparently he wasn't part of the dwayne brown stuff but letting dj reader walk out the door um pissing off jj watt pissing off deshawn watson to the point where he wants to trade it all goes back to jack easter be like bill o'brien absolutely this team up uh jack easter b was part of that problem too and i think it became clear after the 24 nothing and then come back lost the chiefs that this entire leadership structure needed a shakeup bill o'brien was not the coach for us whatever the hell jack was doing at the time he needed to be gone especially if he had later any sort of input in that deandre hopkins trade a few months after that like that alone should have been the clue that he should have been gone it became clear after that game this team needed a change we had we had the talent in place we just didn't have the coach we didn't have the gm eric the enemy was sitting right the eric the enemy was the coordinator for the team that knocked him out of the playoffs and one of the most embarrassing losses i've ever seen in my entire life he was right there they could have can you imagine how different things would be if they hired eric the enemy after the 2019 season no deandre hopkins straight deshawn's happy he's playing at an mvp level with his number one receiver no bill o'brien to everything up i don't even know what i'm saying at this point i'm just i'm hurt because we had we had it we had the one thing that every fan wants we had a franchise quarterback an elite mvp caliber quarterback we had it and we chose a televangelist like jack easterby over him so you cal mcnair honestly like you don't know what you're doing you don't know what you're doing your father knew how to run a team you don't i thank you everybody who's in the in the stream by the way letting me vent i've got 1600 people watching me be in pain right now it's the most i've ever had in streams so maybe pain pays i don't know but let's just look at some of these super chats uh the houston text will be a case study for years to come on how one man can ruin a team well it depends are you are you talking about the one man being cal or the one man being jack because cal's the one that allows jack to be jack cal is the one that listened to jack with all of these nepotistic decisions so honestly it's how two men ruined a team two and a half if you count o'brien o'brien definitely had a say in things he could have stopped some of the deals that happened from happening but he went along with it not to mention he just wasn't a very popular coach in the locker room and he just wasn't a good game manager period he was not a good coach i made a video on it for a reason now after i made that video some things came out that like easter bee had more influence than i thought over some of those trades than bob but bob is still part of it so it's really how two and a half men ruin a franchise i just great day for the rest of the afc south yes 100 you know who's happiest right now it's the titans they're the happiest right now and the jags because they're getting trevor lawrence they automatically have the second best quarterback in the division they haven't even picked him yet and if stafford goes to the colts which i think is a decent chance i know the 49ers were in the running but i got to think the 49ers are going to throw everything they got at the sean now because the colts are not going to get the shot they're not going to trade him in the division but if i think it's it's possible that staffer goes to the colts and then i mean you get you got ryan tanil is a good quarterback you got stafford he's a good quarterback he got trevor lawrence and then all of them have their quarterback situation figured out and deshawn's not in houston they went from being having the best quarterback in the division having no quarterback so yeah the rest of the afc south is loving it thoughts on david cauley five dollars from henry o'brien thank you henry um all i know is he was the passing game coordinator for the worst passing game in the league he was the wide receiver coach for the chiefs when they went an entire year without a touchdown for any chief's receivers i've heard he's a good guy that's cool it's not who deshawn wanted deshaun what a be enemy deshawn wanted youth innovation leadership i'm not saying coley's not a leader but ever apparently everything that coley brings as a leader eric the enemy also brings but he also brings i mean he's the guy who does installs for the chief's offense like andy reid calls the plays but they're eric b enemies plays he does the install that five for five they just went in the red zone against the bills that was his game plan so i don't hate david cauley but he's not eric the enemy so i don't i don't really care wow 27.90 thank you bernardo a couple brazilian bucks to crowdfund your next whiskey bottle you might need it i it's unfortunately it's 8 30. so i'm i'm doing coffee now but as soon as it hits i don't know noon i i'm so here's the thing i'm doing a senior bowl stream later today at 5 00 p.m eastern i'm gonna be blitzed for the start of that stream i apologize in advance i'm gonna try to answer all of your draft questions in that stream but it's um it's gonna be it's gonna be rough it's gonna be a rough day even as a colts fan i feel terrible for you uh thank you from hotshot always goes back to rasputin rasputin being jack easterby yes you are correct he is ironically the root of all evil for this entire franchise because i don't even think cal like i don't think cal mcnair wants to be bad i think he's just stupid i think he's just dumb he's gullible he's just dumb jack easter b's the actual snake cal is just stupid i'm a washington football team fan uh wow you guys are actually doing better than better than texans fans right now and i want to thank cal mcnair for knocking snyder off the mountain as the worst owner in the nfl well i don't know cal didn't take his cheerleaders passports and basically prostitute them out to season ticket holders on some random islands so let's not go that far snyder's still like objectively a terrible human being like i said cal's not a bad person he's just dumb he's just dumb jack easter beat i think is objectively a bad person the whole like preacher of god schtick i don't believe in that for a second and i don't think anybody in the building does too um let's see ten dollars from c c brooks brooks uh this past year has broken me as a fan of the houston sports but this takes the cake man you're also a rockets fan too dude oh man i'm stepping away to reevaluate my relationship with sports because this hurts a charlatan over our qb and the fans i hope you're at least an astros fan so you got a world series out of it i mean it got tainted as all hell after but at least you got to feel that i hope so but if you're a rocket if you're just a rockets fan and a texans fan you this is literally the worst sports year i think you could possibly have i it's it's just it's unbelievable for any like true houston sports fan that like follows every single like i live in southern california i'm an angels fan i'm not an astros fan i'm a lakers fan i'm not a rockets fan um but if you live in houston and you follow every single houston team this has been awful um i did not see the the super chat that said uh but i appreciate the five dollar super chat that said rapport actually said he requested trade a week ago it's just coming out now i i do wonder if that was his agent david moloka david mulgatta mullighetta excuse me waiting for them to announce a coach before leaking it but i believe that they asked for it a while ago i think as soon as it became clear that when when the report came out that eric the enemy didn't want the job i think that's probably when he asked for it 100 percent because he wanted eric the enemy um might be a pipe dream hoping the vikings make a push for with what money well if they trade kirk maybe maybe hold on let me look uh cousins over the cap i don't know if you guys ever use over the cap but it's a great uh cap website that can tell you okay so if they trade well he's not gonna get traded uh post june first traded pre-june first they saved 20 20 million in dead money for 2021 10 million in dead money for 2022 for the vikings but they would be taking on an even bigger contract and their cap space is literally negative this year and they have 37 next year so i don't know if there's some kind of restructure the vikings could do to get to sean i mean anything's possible technically but they would have to trade kirk and get deshawn back and then also do restructures on top of it so technically possible unlikely but technically possible i would love to see him and justin jefferson together that would be that would be amazing uh to distract you super bowl prediction i'm actually working on two film rooms right now one on the chiefs one on the bucks to kind of cancel out the coleman curses uh the first one is going to be on the chiefs game plan they use against buffalo because they used basically an alex smith game plan where they hobbled mahomes and it was the best game they played all year like just playing within the structure and so i think that kind of like my criticism with the chiefs was they relied too much on playing out of structure and it made them super inconsistent and everything like that and then they played a game entirely within structure and they absolutely steamrolled buffalo so if they do that again against tampa i would lean towards the chiefs but i still got to do work on tampa as well to see you know what kind of shot they have so i don't have a prediction yet but i will soon probably next weekend or probably next week at some point um jackie's remaster of the machiavellian method man he would fit right in in uh renaissance politics i'll tell you that much because he is a back stabber i just can't believe i can't believe cal mcnair is listening to this theoretically possible how about watson to the rams same kind of thing but i think their co i think goff's contract might be even harder to get out of than kirk again standby i know if they traded him post june 1st it was only like a 7 million dollar hit for them if they trade him pre-june first let's see they [Music] so they save 1275 man yeah i don't know if they have the money i don't think they have the money because they're 31 over right now and they only have 39 next year i don't think it's even possible i think if they if they want to fix their cap situation they have to do a trade after june 1st but that's going to be hard for them to do because stafford's going to be you know all the draftable quarterbacks are going to be taken staffers can be traded to shawn's can be traded at that point i don't even know if they're going to be able to find a partner they're going to have to offload him for a very late pick i think just to fix their cap situation or just roll with goff for another year i don't know if it's even possible they they really got screwed by stafford being on the market and deshawn being on the market because now the quick fix trade it's gonna go to either detroit or houston they're not gonna like who's gonna trade for jared goff when they could trade for stafford or watson so that sucks for the rams um hoping he's either niners or pats i don't think desean wants to go to the patriots i don't think he does after everything he's had to deal with the patriot way i don't think i think i think he would love to go to the niners and i would personally want him to go to the niners that's where i want him to go more than anywhere is to work with kyle shanahan um because i think they could be phenomenal together would be the best quarterback even better than matt ryan uh that he's ever worked with i think you could do a lot of the run game stuff when kyle uh was using it back in 2012 with rg3 you can do all that plus you know his typical you know bootlegs uh i mean the run game is so diverse now it's not just wide zone it's inside zone it's power uh it's like all this gap steam stuff they run a million different variations of zone out of you know 12 personnel 22 personnel they do a little bit of 11 but not as much like deshawn's perfect he's absolutely perfect for them i if i'm the niners i give up three first round picks like no no joke three first round picks for deshawn and it's 100 worth it he's a perfect fit and they would immediately be super bowl contenders because you get to shawn you get kittle you get iuk you get debo i think the offensive line is underrated the defense uh has a couple holes but like not that many and you're losing salah obviously but still like it's it's not a bear cupboard there but deshawn and kyle like that's that's a super bowl contending team right there it's probably the best team in the west uh sorry about all this mr barry and foster yeah it's my reddit username going way back in the day as a titans fan i'm thrilled i know you are buddy but i'm bummed for you more titans film rooms please i wanted to do one on uh aj brown but i just couldn't fit it in during the season so i might do the aj brown one sometime this off season or maybe i'll kind of roll in like a tanny hill plus aj brown film room because i love both of them a lot i've kind of quasi done a derrick henry film room before when i did that titans contender video three years ago i ended up being a year early on that one when i said they were like a sneaky dark horse team that was before the 2018 season and then in the 2019 season they ended up going to the championship game so i was a year early on them um but yeah i i'm due for a titan's film room it probably won't be on their third down defense which was terrible i'll probably focus more on the offense um or maybe i'll kind of do an arthur smith film room to kind of make it also about the falcons who knows so we'll see i'll do something on the titans are you moving to the team d4 moves too yeah i will be i mean i'm still going to be a bears fan um like that's not going anywhere if like best case for me personally is desean going to the bears because that just wraps it all up in a tight little bow then i could just root for the bears and only the bears and i can root for deshawn on the bears uh but if he goes to the niners i will root for him on the niners if he goes to the jets i will root for him because i want deshawn to be happy i want him to be successful so i'll root for the bears and i'll root for desean i guess is a way to phrase it like i will support deshawn while also supporting the bears i don't give a about the texas anymore they lost me like i i will come back to the texans when cal sells the team but that's never gonna happen so and i think there's a lot of texans fans that feel the same way like they i will root for desean's personal happiness and success because he deserves that in life and lucky luckily for me i already had a love for the bears anyway so it's not like i'm completely stranded out here but yeah we're the only the hard part if he goes to detroit that's gonna be hard because i can't it's gonna be hard to root for the bears and root for his success in detroit at the same time but that's future brett's problem um let's see i'm trying to catch up on all your super chats guys you guys have been extremely generous i can't believe you prediction saying jacksonville wins the south next year i don't know about that because if stafford goes to indy i like them better here year one with stafford than lawrence year one with uh urban meyer and the titans are i know they lost arthur smith who's a good coordinator um but the titans still have a ton of talent too so i wouldn't say that i'm not ruling it out but i think they have more holes on their roster than maybe people think uh especially offensive line like they have to attack offensive line this year and protect trevor lawrence or it's just it's gonna be it's gonna be rougher it's gonna be the same thing happen to joe burrow because they don't have any any they don't have a left tackle right now um so it's possible but not likely rank last year's top five rookie safeties uh foo who was the rookie safeties last year let me i'll get back to that one in the draft stream that i do later today at five so tune in at 5 p.m eastern because i got a look at who the rookie safeties are so i can give you like an accurate like i love blackman but i can't remember any other rookie safeties right now uh but thank you for the five dollar stamp so tune into the draft stream and i'll address that in the draft stream once i remind myself who the rookie safeties are um unless you mean for this upcoming class in which case i also don't have an answer because i haven't looked at enough guys to really have a top five i do love tyree gillespie from um mizzou i found him initially back in november when i was looking at bolton their linebacker was getting a lot of hype uh and gillespie was just making plays all over the place he ended up he's in the senior bowl now i chatted with jim nagy a little bit about him um and he was a he was a kind of an unknown senior but gillespie's great he's a free safety loves to hit incredible closing speed he's he's one of the best safeties in this class so he's my early favorite for this draft class for safeties at least please not the 49ers sad cardinal i know i know that would just wreck you guys to have to deal with desean and watson four times a year and then whoever ends up being the rams quarterback with sean mcvay that's like worst case scenario for the cardinals but at the same time best case scenario for deshawn personally so i'm all for it excuse me uh greener thank you for the five dollars as a seahawks fan the idea of desean watson niners team keeps me up at night it should dude it would be disgusting again it doesn't matter how many picks it costs it's worth it 100 is it true that lamar can't make basic reads no god no uh and so what's funny is i did a video about it like after week three of the 2019 season and i said desean is a legitimately good passer now like he's not all the way there obviously he's not pat he's not desean he's not josh allen i would say in terms of just passing but at the same time uh he's good and it's funny because after that week three video where i was pointing out some of the reads he was making some of the touch throws he was making and i said like look this dude's absolutely dangerous now he ended up winning mvp later that year the year before that also after week three i put out a video and this was after pat mahomes like fourth career start and i said this dude is unbelievable he's ridiculous one mvp that year and then after week three of this season i put out a video about josh allen saying look forget what you know about josh allen he's amazing he's a totally different pastor this year and then he had the year he did so usually i have a three straight years now after like week three of the season i'll put out a video about a young quarterback uh that has some mixed opinions on them uh and i've i've hit on all three i've three for three for so far so but no to answer your question lamar can make reads he can throw the problem is he did not have a very good um passing game coached ironically by the new texans head coach and he just didn't have any good receivers hollywood brown's number one receiver and hollywood is not a number one like that's why i wanted them to take dk metcalf in the draft because it's he needs a true number one on the outside uh nick buddy thank you for the ten dollars i really appreciate it i appreciate your support and all the support you guys have been giving for not just today but a long time it's it's it's amazing it really is uh tanyang thank you for the five dollars everyone talking about the trade for watson here's a list of teams that won't trade for them oh actually i like this point okay so chiefs packers yes yes chargers yes bengals yes saints cap hill cap hell excuse me uh probably right but it's the saints and i never underestimate mickey loomis like i i mean i said they couldn't sign camara and then they signed camara when they were already like 60 million over the cap so i don't think they give a i will never underestimate mickey loomis again so technically you are correct it is not possible but through mickey loomis all things are possible so all 50 50 on that one uh titans i mean obviously they're not going to trade him within division anyway i'm sure they would be interested like they love tannehill but it's deshawn you know of course they'd be interested but they're not going to trade him in division uh and then ravens yes you are correct that's a good list i can't i mean maybe arizona i don't think they would i don't think they would want to move off kyler um because i think kyler plus two first-round picks that's that's still i don't wanna say it's equivalent value but they're not gonna move off kyler uh seattle if you had that in there they would not move off russ um is there any other teams that would that would not do that deal you could probably count dallas with dak if dak stays i i don't i mean it's the same amount of money but you know dak is he loves that team and they love dak i don't think they would do it even if i objectively think desean is a better quarterback than dak it's not by like that much like dak was incredible before he got injured this year so i would throw the cowboys in there too as on the list of teams that would not do that deal um let's see here when will we get the fabled joe burrow video definitely in the off season uh at some point in the offseason kind of recapping his whole rookie year and i i also will be doing on on justin herbert before anybody asks he is coming i promise i there's a whole list of talking points i want to talk about how i evaluate quarterbacks my hits my misses mostly my misses and why i missed on justin herbert it's really more of a video about why i up that evaluation than anything else but to answer your question joe burrow video is coming in the off season for sure do you think baker mayfield is a franchise quarterback yeah yeah i think kevin stefanski is the bigger part of the equation than baker but he's good he's accurate he protects the football he executes the offense he's good i i like baker a lot like i i have zero problems with baker under kevin stefanski i had problems with baker under freddie kitchens because freddie kitchens did nothing to accentuate baker's strengths which is moving out of the pocket um you know on rollouts especially to his right like throwing on the move you know off bootlegs is baker's strength as well as like the quick game and everything like that like the straight up like i'm taking five step drops and going 10 yards deep in the pocket and taking the deep shot off play action like that's not baker and freddie kept trying to make him be that and he's not that so kevin stefanski think accentuated what baker's good at so he is the best version of himself right now which is a franchise quarterback elite quarterback no franchise quarterback absolutely i that you could maybe throw them in of like the teams that wouldn't do the deshawn deal mainly because i think they're they're fine with baker and they would rather have the picks in my opinion um i'm so sorry if i missed any super chats by the way they are flying in right now um matthew olivieri i apologize if i up that name five dollars does it surprise you that the eagles ran the most deep vertical routes given their issues at o-line and wide receiver uh no and i ironically did a video about that before the season of like they came out and said we want to build our offense like the chiefs we want to run four verts a lot that's why they got four receivers that you know run 4-4 or better including desean jackson um and you know raker's a fourth low four four high four three kind of guy like they came out and said we want to throw deep we want to mimic the chiefs four verts all day every day the problem is they didn't have the line and they didn't have the quarterback as it turned out to execute that i thought going into the year i thought carson would not play as poorly as he did and then he did i thought the line would not well the problem with the line is they got hurt a lot but even then even when they were healthy they still weren't playing up to their standard considering their level of talent at least on paper so i i understand why they threw that many deep routes because they literally said they would they were they're building their offense around it but the problem is they didn't have the personnel to execute it properly so that was their issue uh what if the cowboys somehow get watson that would entirely depend on them just not signing dak which at this point i feel like they are if they didn't sign dak and got watson i mean yeah it's an upgrade but it's still inexpensive like they're still spending the same amount of money regardless so i don't think they're gonna do it like yeah they probably won't do it i think jerry loves dak too much for him to not sign dac and then go get watson where the difference between watson and dak is not that much like watson is better but not enough to the point where like jerry's gonna be like i gotta abandon you know this quarterback that we drafted that i absolutely adore in every possible like he loves dak loves him i don't think jerry would do it see how upset would you be if watson got traded in her division to the colts i would be devastated but it's not going to happen no way they would never trade him in division like i would be absolutely devastated like don't make me root for the colts you know i'll root for anybody but the cults they'll make me root for the cults i don't think it's gonna happen but that would be like worst case scenario for me uh for your condolences sorry coming from a chiefs fan well first of all congratulations on going back to the super bowl uh if d4 didn't jump outside you'd be number three buddy number three in a row you'd probably be going for your you know three-peat at this point so congratulations to you as a chiefs fan for actually being a fan of a functional franchise what's it feel like i'm not bitter clearly five dollars to get people to smash that like button thank you harold i really appreciate it i appreciate the support by the way we have almost 4 000 people in the stream right now that have come solely to watch me self-destruct i talk about the draft for four hours nothing like that kind of viewership i'll tell you what sports fans love pain more than anything that's one thing i've learned in this business sports fans are addicted to pain not just their own but to other peoples too oh you guys are ridiculous texans fans and lions fans following their strange quarterbacks wherever they go are lions fans abandoning the lions i mean i don't blame them i i wasn't aware that there was a large contention of lions fans that were just gonna follow stafford again i completely understand it but i didn't know that was a thing uh man so there's gonna be a lot of lions and colts crossover i guess assuming that's where stafford goes which he probably will i brought a wasp hoodie for my dad for christmas and he loved oh i'm glad he loved it as a chiefs fan how long until we become the villains of the nfl uh you know here's the thing about teams being villains i don't it's not about the team it's about the fan base i don't think people hate teams actually let me screenshot this one real quick sorry make sure i don't lose it god um i don't think people hate teams i think they hate fan bases when fan bases get big heads like i i i don't think a lot of the patriots hate was about the patriots i think it was about patriots fans and people hating the smugness admittedly of patriots fans because they won all the time so the best thing you can do to not be the villain of the nfl is just as a fan base don't be if if you guys keep the same energy you did when you were you know 2 and 14 and taking eric fisher first overall keep that same energy keep that same um i don't know i don't even know how to describe it but just don't be don't be that fan base that walks in the room and just says we're going to kick your ass like i i get how great that must feel after so many years of futility but nobody likes a cocky fan base if if you are a smug arrogant fan base that just is impossible to talk sports to because every single point goes back to how you're the best team in the world blah blah blah if you are that kind of fan base nobody's gonna like talking sports with you that's why a lot of people hated patriots fans is because every single conversation started and ended with were the patriots we're gonna win like they would never actually talk football i'm not this this is generalization i'm just saying why a lot of people didn't like patriots fans i know plenty of patriots fans that are great that are not smug and arrogant and everything like that and they're the ones that are left this year when the patriots had a bad season all the smug arrogant are not patriots fans right now because they didn't go 14-2 so it's those bandwagons fans that are that make people not like the chiefs so my best advice don't be to not be a villain don't be that kind of fan base and then people are going to root for your success so that's that's my general take on it um wow i have i i have no idea how i'm going to get all these super chats but i'm really trying i promise uh i had a 15 super chat from daddy dev what's up brett my friend introduced me to your channel and i love your videos i was just curious on what thoughts uh what your thoughts on watson to the jets like best case scenario and a rough look at the draft so if he goes to the jets they're gonna have to give up number two and they're gonna have to give up both first round picks both second round picks wouldn't be surprised if both third round picks two or maybe a third run pick next year uh i i would not be shocked by it i think it's a good destination for him on paper because i really love robert sala i love the coaching staff they're putting together there like not just solid but the assistants i think joe douglas is a good general manager i think he he's a perfect fit for denzel mims who's ironically i compared to deandre hopkins a lot when he was coming out of baylor uh the the defense is just loaded with talent other than a few key positions they could still use edge rushers but they should be able to get a few of those uh in this draft at least late like it's a deep edge class there's not like a top end guy quiddy pay is probably the closest one to it but there is depth there so i i like the fit with the jets i think he'd be successful with the jets i think it would immediately turn around that franchise i would personally still think he would have more success with the niners and kyle shanahan so i personally root for that to happen but i d i do think he would be very successful with the jets and i think he could elevate the jets into being a division contending team if not this season definitely the season after that like he would absolutely elevate that franchise uh far above what they were um i had a 20 super chat i want to find it just to say thank you to him uh where was it here we go uh mezzanotea i hope i'm pronouncing that correctly i'm gone wherever d4 goes 30 years 30 years of being a houston sports fan and this is what broke you good god man 15 plus is a texans fan i'm right there with you thanks for being an outlet for those of us who are beyond exhausted i love your videos and i'm overdue for a contribution i really appreciate that i really really do um and i i hope that what happens with texans fans leaving the texans on mass is a wake-up call not just to houston as an organization but to every other team around the league that fans care more about players these days than like they're more attached to the players than they are attached to coaches and gm's and team chaplains because at the end of the day the players are the ones that score touchdowns they are what actually entertains us every single week it's not the front office we don't care about the front office we care about the players and so fan bases are always going to side with the players they cannot just keep you know what's the word like this whole good old boys club fans are not going to support that so i think it's a wake-up call to the rest of the nfl of like hey look if your fan base is clearly siding with your franchise star quarterback you should side with your franchise star quarterback or the fans will not stay around like it's a very simple equation we care more about desean's happiness than jack easter bees it's a very simple lesson we care about desean we don't care about jack we don't care about cal mcnair we don't care about nick casario and this is nothing against nick casario i'm sure he's a good dude i honestly think he's a very qualified general manager i care more about desean than nick casario and so we're going to follow deshaun wherever he goes we don't watch for the front office we watch for desean so i i think it's a i think it's a big lesson for houston i think it's a big lesson for the nfl i wish i was a chiefs fan too bad i stick with the jets for a long time the chiefs were the jets just remember that like they they had a lot of bad years they like they didn't even have a starting quarterback that they drafted for like two decades for a long time the chiefs were a bottom of the barrel franchise one day they get lucky andy reed gets fired from philly they get andy reid a legendary coach they bring in alex smith who's a stable you know not great but at least good quarterback better than anything they had before for a couple second round picks because the niners you know thought they struck gold with colin kaepernick we won't even get into that uh so they get andy reid and alex smith overnight turns around their franchise to being a stable competent organization one day they get patrick mahomes who they completely nailed on the evaluation and then they become not just a stable organization but a dominant organization but they started where the jets are right now they started at that level they had the number one overall pick in the 2013 class remember that they were awful for a long time just like the jets were awful for a long time so i i truly think the jets are building something here will they ever be the chiefs probably not because i don't think they're ever gonna have a quarterback like patrick mahomes if they land to sean they have a chance but even then i i think uh i think the jets are on their way to being not just a respectable franchise but a good franchise in this league i truly believe that um uh mr looper oh mr looper sorry i can't read today uh watson for 20 super chat by the way thank you thank you thank you uh watson and a second to denver excuse me for drew locke von miller in two first including this year's number nine um oh man so let me throw that on screen no if i was houston i would say no because drew lock and a second round pick is nowhere close to value for deshaun watson i i don't think i don't think he would even trade a second round pick for drew locke at this point um we just we haven't seen him become anything close to what his potential is so like if he if drew lock had the kind of progression that josh allen had yeah maybe you could you could argue that but like von miller is also over you know over 30 he was in the same draft class as jj watts so like they're both up there in years oh and two first include i tota sorry totally missed the back half of that trade so it's drew luck wait watson and a second two denver four drew lock von miller two firsts hmm i wouldn't want to give up a second round pick on top of watson for that because in the vacuum i i wouldn't like even if it was just a second for dru lock i wouldn't do that so watson and a second for drew lock an older pass rusher and two first including this year's nine keep in mind that this year's number ninth overall pick is probably gonna be too low to get zach wilson or justin fields anyway because atlanta might take one carolina might take one detroit's gonna take one i they wouldn't get a they wouldn't get one of the the top prospects in this year's class and they're hoping to revive drew lock and they're taking von miller's contract off their hands that's a heavily slanted trade towards denver i mean i don't really give a if texans get value at this point because i just i don't care about their success like it's a better situation for desean but objectively speaking that is a heavily slanted trade towards denver 100 percent um wow thank you evan thank you for your contribution uh hey brett irish nfl fan here thank you for watching all the way from ireland wow discovering nfl this year was the only thing that's gotten me into the nfl and you were the best introduction to understanding the game so thanks dude hashtag bear down i really appreciate that and and anybody watching that learns anything from my videos or gains any sort of you know new perspective on on any sort of football topic i really like to i like to prioritize teaching and then rolling that in with entertainment like i feel like it's not just about entertainment if i can actually like every single episode have you walk away with something about football that you didn't know before whether it's an offensive concept a defensive concept a technique anything like that if you could just learn one thing from each individual episode i consider that episode a success so hopefully i was able to do that for you guys and i i really uh i appreciate all the support i appreciate you guys allowing me to do this for a living because i wouldn't be able to do it without you guys i i really wouldn't i would just be some dude sitting in a bedroom talking about match quarters coverage and screaming into the void but you guys are what makes what makes this possible so again thank you thank you evan and thank you everybody like evan um peter for ten dollars i know steelers money is tight but what do you think about stafford's fit in pittsburgh i would love that but as you said the money is tight so i'm sure there are ways to restructure some i mean obviously they're gonna have to let bud walk like that that would immediately be out there's no way they're bringing blood back if they do that there's got to be ways to restructure something um you know vance mcdonald retired who i think's probably saved a couple million for them and you know ben obviously wouldn't be coming back i don't know what the cap ramifications are for cutting ben pre and post june let me look that up for you real quick just to see because i want to be as accurate as possible with this when i give you an answer okay so if it's cut pre-june first it's 22.25 million in dead money 19 million in cap savings if it is a post june first cut it is the same interesting okay so 22 million in dead money 19 in savings and then in their cap space holy they are 35 million over the cap wow but they have 171 next year okay so yes that is possible to get stafford on the steelers for 2021 if they do a ton of restructures push a bunch of cap out to 2022 when they have a lot of space um you're you're doing a cut for roethlisberger to save 19 million you eat the dead money you use the restructures to offset that you get stafford in the building it is 100 possible and probably their best move at this point because they're not going to want to give up as many resources as they're going to need to get up to give to sean i mean they could but it's it's it's a harder contract to work in than stafford's is but no that would 100 work and with that receiving core and that defense i'd probably favor them to win the north again to be honest if they get stafford in there that's gonna be a great deal uh spencer for twenty dollars thank you spencer i i really appreciate that uh vikings fan here three first neil hunter harrison smith oh okay three first run picks to neil hunter harrison smith and kirk cousins for deshaun watson man because okay so they need an edge daniel hunter fixes that because whitney merciless is is up there in years harrison smith you're basically just dumping harrison smith's contract at that point um all-time great viking one of the best safeties of his generation but again when you factor in age and money and everything like that it's it's it's it's probably a good idea to again take take like my guy tyree gillespie from mizzou on day two you know save a shitload of money offloading harrison smith's contract and you there's a drop off obviously but the financial gains you get i think make up for that uh and then obviously the financial the the the gains you get going from kirk cousins to deshaun watson i think also make up for that so no that is oh that's a fair deal it still probably favors the vikings a little bit just considering what we know about desean watson um but it's more even than i think the proposed denver trade in my opinion it's more even because you're getting three first round picks but 100 worth it if i'm the vikings 100 percent worth that deal justin so if you guys don't know justin he hounds me on twitter all the time so this hoodie hold on let me hide this so this hoodie the vikings hoodie the uh that i designed for the minneapolis miracle with like the the play call down the sleeve and everything like that and i released this a few months ago he has been hounding me on twitter to do a jets version of this hoodie with eric decker's game-winning touchdown against the patriots uh i appreciate the donation jess and i really really do and i all i don't know if that would even sell with jets fans but one of these days i will find a way to get just one made for you uh if you just drop drop your size to me and i'll i'll find a way i don't know how i'm gonna do it i don't know what i'm gonna have to do but i'll find a way to to just get one made for you just because you've been so loyal i appreciate that or if you're a jazz fan you would actually appreciate that sweat that hoodie let me know i i have no idea where that play ranks in jets fandom lore but we'll find a way to make it happen uh anavartan and any oh god i s i'm so sorry i struggle with european names anavartan kr i'm gonna go with that uh for is that icelandic currency 375 icelandic i think so um he says hi brett thanks for teaching me a lot about the game i'm so glad i found your channel my first year watching the nfl have you considered doing a video explaining all the lingo of the game oh india okay love from india uh i have absolutely thought of doing like a football 101 video series uh it's something that i've wanted to for a long time hopefully i can maybe try to squeeze in a little bit of that this off season probably like around july i would think um but no that is absolutely something that i've wanted to do for a long time because 30 of my audience is not in the united states it might even be higher now it's it's europe it's india really anywhere in asia i have plenty of fans in africa uh it's south america all over the place like i have a lot of uh foreign or international fans i should say uh that are just trying to get into the game so yes i will be doing a football introductory series at some point i'll probably start it maybe sometime in july if i can that's like my my main goal there uh blue for 10 says how do you really think my panther how do you think my panthers can be contenders next year really want to shawn but i doubt we get it uh oh i mean theoretically you could get to sean but it would have to be a deal similar to the vikings you know three first round picks uh you're throwing in players on top of that maybe more um as in dj more the receiver not like more i mean obviously more players but dj moore i think would would be a piece you throw in there because houston needs receiver uh god what other what other picks could they even or whatever what other players could they throw there maybe shaq uh would they give up one of the guys they drafted last year on defense it's possible but i i think the starting point is three first round picks and probably second round picks on top of that but it's possible to go to carolina yes 100 they they could easily find a way and because it's a top 10 pick that would make it a little bit easier um and it's ahead of denver it's a little bit easier for them to then trade up even further to maybe go after a quarterback like wilson or fields or whoever if houston really wants to replace watson with one of those guys so theoretically that deal works it's it's not quite as fruitful as the vikings one but it could theoretically work uh spencer for ten dollars is how much money in super chats for an examination of xavier rhodes rise to success drop off then resurgence i may need to save up for this xavier rhodes is a fascinating case because his movement skills severely declined in minnesota towards the end of his time there uh to the point where he just he flat out could not run with receivers down the field anymore he just couldn't do it and so then he went to indy and they focused more on well first of all he just looked healthier and he looked more spry in 2020 than he did in the last two years in minnesota so his body looked better but they also in the system they played they they didn't do a whole lot of man coverage with him it was a lot of cover three um it was a lot of like press bail you know playing top down over receivers so he wasn't just getting absolutely dusted trying to play that trail technique that he liked to play in minnesota like he wasn't trying to stay hip to hip with guys he was staying top down forcing everything underneath and then he would just break on it so he he had a few really good plays doing that in man coverage i think his hands were better than they were in minnesota at least in the last couple years in terms of hand placement he wasn't getting his jams swatted off as much as he did um like just his placement on his jams was better uh he had a really bad habit in minnesota towards the end where he would kind of do like a double-handed jam and lock his outside hip when he was in press coverage you never really want to do that it's you can flash it and then you know you want to use your if you're lined up your inside hand as you turn to the outside so you don't lock that front hip so he wasn't getting beat off the release as much that way so his technique was better his usage was better was a lot more playing zone from the top down um and he just he looked quicker flat out he looked quicker so it's he was a better player in indy this past year than the last two years in minnesota easily so and but it's a it's a combination of factors will i do a film room on it uh probably not because i have like a long list of film rooms i gotta do this off season but maybe if i can do like one entirely on the colts defense like as a whole i can kind of throw in a xavier rhodes uh section into that one because i do think his rise and fall and rise again is a fascinating topic um guillermo marchessan thank you for the i hope i pronounced that correctly thank you for the 20 really appreciate that support uh the r is that stand for russian i think that stands for russian if so really cool thank you for watching from russia and let's see i'm so sorry i can't keep up with everybody's super chats this has been uh this has been incredible yeah the amount of support you guys have been giving me uh here we go i'm a lions fan talk to me about dan campbell why the did we hire him can we get fields at seven is there a light at the end of the tunnel i don't think you'll get fields at seven you'll probably have to trade up because i think you're gonna have to beat atlanta to the punch there which means you're gonna have to trade up with miami at three miami the only reason why they would stay at three is if they they really want devanta smith there which i think is a totally justified pick i love devonta smith but they're more incentivized to take more picks from the lions who are trying to beat atlanta to fields or to wilson whoever uh it's possible wilson goes number two to the jets and then number three is kind of the battleground for justin fields they would have to give up picks to go get him at three i don't think he lasted seven naturally uh so can we get him yes you'll have to pay a lot though is there a light at the end of the tunnel i don't know um i i like the staff that campbell's put together excuse me he he seems to be kind of taking on more of like the ceo motivator head coach kind of role like a john harbaugh mike tomlin where the actual play calling and game planning he leads to his coordinators and he's more of like the the leader of the team so i you know frable does the same thing in um in tennessee he's a little bit more input on the defense but dan campbell he's never been a coordinator so he's he would be more of like a top-down ceo type head coach which absolutely can work but it relies on having really good coordinators luckily for him i think he hired some good coordinators anthony lin i think is a better offensive coordinator than is a head coach when he can just work on game plans and scheme especially in the run game i think he's very good with the run game uh and particularly he spent some time under greg roman who's one of the best run game designers in the history of the sport so i think anthony lynn can be a good offensive coordinator for him uh and then aaron glenn who's who was the db's coach for new orleans for several of the past years under dennis allen they've always had good secondaries in new orleans that defense has been consistently one of the best in the league for a long time so i like his coordinator hires the press conference was weird i'll just say that but it to me it doesn't disqualify him from being a good head coach that just kind of is his energy he is uh he's dad castle i don't know that's the best way to describe it but i i think it could work i i don't think uh i don't think the lions are doomed here uh and even if even if they don't get fields i think they're firmly in play for uh well could they do desean i mean maybe but they would have to trade stafford directly to the texans to get to sean i don't think stafford wants to go to the texans so that probably wouldn't be part of the deal i don't know we'll see what happens with them but they very well could get fields and uh and i like their staff so i i think their future is brighter than you think uh charlie for 10 pounds thank you charlie i appreciate that hi from an english giants fan who loved your daniel jones video you're one of the few giants fans that did buddy i promise you you're one of the few giants fans that actually liked that video i got so much for saying that i i wasn't sure about daniel jones and i got a lot of uh after his rookie year because when he came out when he got drafted by the giants i said i hated the pick and uh man i i i caught a lot of flack for for that take and i caught a lot of flack for not really knowing uh if i liked him after his rookie year either and then he went out and had the year he did uh last year which wasn't entirely his fault but you still haven't seen the progression that you're hoping for out of a top 10 pick at quarterback so uh trust me you're one of the few giants fans that liked it uh two quick notes if you're okay yes yes of course uh quick response daniel jones for the giants stick or twist uh preferred bourbon in an old fashioned so i'll do the bourbon first um i really like uh eagle rare in an old fashioned which is basically just the buffalo trace mash bill but aged for a couple extra years uh i look uh like woodford double oaked in an old fashioned although that's more expensive so maybe you don't want to do that every day because you'll you'll drain a bottle of double oak which is like 40 or 50 bucks but i it's really good um old forester 1920 i think is good in old fashion ah man breckenridge bourbon which is a smaller distillery out of breckenridge colorado i really really like an old-fashioned a lot of the wood tannins come out in that bourbon one of my favorites i have that downstairs actually maybe i'll drink that for uh for the draft stream later today love brecker ridge bourbon great in an old fashion uh and also god what's another one uh oh just classic buffalo trace works too oh weller but weller is really expensive so again that's like a special occasion uh old-fashioned i guess you could say but weller's really good in it as well and then as for your other question daniel jones stick with him or not you're not going to get a top quarterback in this year's class you're probably not going gonna get deshawn watson you're gonna have to stick with him because the only the only new quarterbacks you could get are probably like mack jones in which case is he that much better than daniel jones that you're willing to excuse me that you're willing to move off daniel jones after two years probably not so i think you just you spend your high picks on assets to try once again to get the best that you can out of daniel jones you just invested a lot in the offensive line last year um which i actually liked their picks last year at offensive line andrew thomas i know he didn't have a good rookie year but at georgia i thought he was fantastic i really like pair as a developmental tackle that ended up getting a lot of snaps this year lemieux was one of my favorite guards in the class and he ended up probably playing the best out of all of their their rookie offensive lineman um i think he's going to be their left guard of the future so or was he right guard i can't remember where he played but either way and then uh hernandez they picked a couple years too like they have a lot of really solid um pieces on that offensive line that i think can be good going forward so you're going to want to get receivers whether you trade down and get kedarius tony you pull the trigger on waddle early uh you trade down and get rashad bateman out of minnesota who i think is like a perfect fit across from uh slayton i think bateman's like a true boundary number one wide receiver and slayton could be their deep threat and number two there like there's options for them to build around daniel jones i don't think they're gonna move off of him like they theoretically could but i don't think they will i think it's stick with dj for one more year uh surround him with as much talent as possible and if he fails again he fails again you can move off of him in 2022 but i think they're going to give him one more year um hey dude sorry about the watson news who's quarterbacking the pads in 2021 that is the operative question isn't it probably not desean watson probably not matt stafford let me look at their cap space because that is a potential jared goff destination if they're just trying to unload him and just get rid of his contract in la because they're tight on money let me see here as if the patriots have a lot of cap space that can absorb that contract yeah man they got 60 million okay so if i'm the rams i basically want to pull the same deal that the texans did with brock osweiler and the browns back in 2017 i think it was 2016 2017 where you give jared goff and like a fourth round pick in exchange for a second back and then they just take over the contract and you're basically paying the patriots to take the money off your books and like you can you know get back a day to pick or something like that but really the the bigger solid that it does for the rams is it gets the money off the books and then they can go try to get a different quarterback whether it's let's see who's it who's a day two guy that they might want to get um maybe like kellen monde uh i don't think ellenger oh man see this has been where i would have wanted malik willis to go but he went back to school at liberty there's guys like oh um jamie newman who sat out last year but he's got a really great arm really good deep all accuracy but most importantly he's dirt cheap and we know that sean mcvay really gets the best out of his quarterbacks uh so i think jamie newman for dirt cheap after offloading jared goff to the patriots in 2021 is a good option for the rams and it's probably a good option for the pats too because they got nobody you know cam's not coming back uh and i i don't really like anybody else on the roster so jared goff is the best they can hope for at this point and since they have money they can afford it plus you get a pick out of it from the ramps i think for both teams i think that works personally uh should the ravens fire roman players are getting fed up with him they go full practices without even throwing the ball i didn't know that oh is that true they go full practices without even throwing it once no wonder they can't throw jesus who should they replace him with ah man i did not know that they went full practices without even passing and that's not on lamar by the way their lack of a passing game i do not think is on lamar they couldn't pass protect towards the end of the season there because they took so many injuries on the offensive line and their receivers just aren't they're not it like the only guy you really have to worry about is mark andrews uh that's fascinating to me though uh should should they fire him i don't think you should fire roman i think you should just get in a new passing game coordinator last year it was david cauley who doesn't have a whole lot of uh success as an assistant on his resume since leaving andy reid i um yeah i just get a new passing game coordinator in there and see what see what happens i don't necessarily i'm not ready to fire greg roman yet let's uh with an aging d and lack of talent on offense how many years do you think it will take for the bears to rebuild to a contender if they get to sean one one year next year uh so but it is it possible for them to get to sean theoretically again they're gonna have to do a lot of restructures they're gonna have to get rid of akeem probably have to offload mac danny uh i don't know if they could afford a rob maybe i mean i if i was them i would do everything in my power to get to sean and a rob and then everything else is expendable it's possible it's very hard to do but it's possible but if they do it if you get to sean even with the remnants of the roster after after they have to gut it to make room even with desean just with the remnants of that roster they're good enough to be a contending team absolutely like they had nothing at the quarterback position this year and still made it to the playoffs i think the benefits of getting watson and a rob in the building for next year outweigh whatever losses they would have on defense to make that happen financially so it just depends on who they on who they have at quarterback next year um philly quarterback situation keep and play once trade wentz and go hertz trade wins and a pick package for watson oh once in a package for watson if that's if that's an option 100 and i love jalen hurts i thought he was the first round quality quarterback last year but for every team in the league not from that list uh that chat highlighted earlier if watson is an option that is the best option 100 that is the option so can they make it happen maybe i don't know if houston would do that deal but it would take like three first-round picks and once because you're taking on that contract it would take a lot of picks but if it's doable that is the number one option thoughts on jordan love so super talented mobile great arm strength saw him live at the senior bowl last year weirdly enough the one route he couldn't throw was a fade like he he struggled so much in college with fade balls especially like uh like inside fades like from a from a number two receiver uh or a slot receiver i guess you could say uh he really really struggled with those with placement with those especially he was better off platform than than on platform when trying to throw deep down the boundary so if he improves that i think you know sky's the limit for him that was kind of like my one hang up on jordan love was was that but other than that he's got every tool you want and i think he's a good kid i interviewed him down in senior bowl really really you know seemed like a nice guy uh good head on his shoulders so i again i don't hate the pick uh that they made for him last year was it maybe a couple years early potentially but uh i i understand why they did it and i think he is a good player as long as he can learn to throw fades uh what is your opinion on kingsbury and kyler uh kingsbury's gotta use more motion man like they were bottom three in the league in motion which for somebody who builds himself as an innovative offensive mind is just way too damn low like you need to help out kyler with motion checks to show man or zone uh you need the ability to use motion to get free releases for receivers like a lot of the best offenses in the league use motion for those reasons it helps to generate free releases uh it helps to dictate coverage it helps to identify coverage like you wonder why blitzes were giving kyler so many problems this year like uh the zero that miami stripped them for for a touchdown it's because they don't use motion it's it's harder to identify if you're not having receivers in motions you can see who's following them so that's my number one complaint about cliff is use motion for god's sake like they it's like 30 percent of the time they used it way too low uh kyler himself when he's healthy i think is a really good quarterback so as a cardinals fan i want to stay positive but the way the season ended makes me worry mainly with cliff yes you are correct they need to go back to the drawing board and study what makes modern offensive trends actually work which is motion that's the number one thing you can do especially motion at the snap it's the biggest trend i think in football and offensive football right now is motion helidine for ten dollars thank you speaking of my boy ellenger what do you think of the different longhorn players in the draft uh take one graham sam cosmi joe joseph osai and caden stern the only one that i've really really looked at so far as osai who i think uh has a lot of potential i think he'll probably go top around two to mid round two but you never really know you know guys with his measurables like 6'4 250 with athleticism they they tend to slip in there especially for like at a premium position if you want to get the fifth round of a rookie or the fifth year of a rookie deal maybe he slips in to uh like tampa uh you know or or casey both of them i think could use could use him especially if casey loses shaq or if tampa loses shaq and free agency i think he's a he's a potential option there so it's possible he sneaks into the late first i really happen to like him a lot um i have not looked at stearns cosmi or graham yet in depth but i plan to um osai's really osai to me was like the main bill for for longhorns this year um so he's the only one i've looked at so far but i promise i will look at them and um hit me up in like a week on dms on twitter and uh i'll all have looked at them by them and i can give you my thoughts on them screw it let's bring back brian hoyer i hate you riley i really hate you i i i love you but i hate you dick amanda ford thank you for the five dollars going to miss seeing my homes and what's up watson matchups if he goes to the nfc why mom's gonna go to the super bowl every year watson just has to go to the super bowl and we'll see him every year i mean it's seems inevitable the chiefs are going to be like we thought you know the patriots going to like nine out of 10 championship games was bad wait till the chiefs go to every single one for a decade because we're on pace for that oh my god they're so good so no if watson goes to like the niners i could very easily see them meeting in the super bowl within like two or three years so i don't think we've seen the last of that match up even if he goes to the nfc i think it's only just beginning what do you think of coley as head coach thank you for the ten dollars jesus cat i think i think he was hired because eric the enemy made it clear that he didn't want the job and i think when because there was a this was a story that came out like a couple weeks ago that eric did not want to touch the texans with the 10-foot pole we're finding out later today from earlier today from ian rappaport that desean actually requested a trade about a week ago so that timeline matches up that eric made it known he didn't want the job then deshawn requested the trade and eric didn't want the job because the texas didn't want him and eric knew the texans didn't want him because they didn't even request for an interview so the enemy basically said i know you don't want me so i don't want the job um and so i think once that became clear that the texans literally just requested to interview him to try to save the relationship with deshawn it felt patronizing he said no deshawn said i want out so the next best thing they could hire from candidates who actually wanted the job was a 65 year old assistant head coach who coordinated the worst passing game in the league that's where we're at he was also the uh wide receivers coach for the chiefs when they put up zero touchdowns for any wide receiver for an entire length of a season so that's on his resume cool i again i've heard he's a great guy i'm i've heard he's a good leader that's totally fine he's not who deshawn advocated for and that's why deshawn's leaving which to me makes the hire inconsequential literally don't even care about it i i my one requirement for the texas head coach was hire somebody who will who deshawn advocates for wants to work for will stay with the franchise for they didn't do that so desean's bouncing so i have no ill will towards kali but i literally don't care i don't i do not care that they hired him what do you think washington's quarterback situation is going to be moving forward that's a good question because they're too high of a pick to get any of the top quarterbacks in this class and i don't know if they're going to get mac jones either so they might have to do heineken next year i mean maybe they can make a play for stafford or deshaun or goff or whoever is going to be on the veteran trade market if wash or if the jets go with zack wilson maybe they can trade for darnold it's possible again there's options for them that don't include getting a top quarterback in the draft i would want to see like heineken and darnold battle it out just to see what happens but failing getting like an elite guy like stafford or watson i i don't think there's like an incentive for them to spend a lot at the position other than for those two guys i would much rather them allocate resources elsewhere and then see what they can get from heineken you know again if the jets move off darnold you trade for darnold since he's still cheap see what's there with him uh and go from there but i think you either invest everything in quarterback or you invest very little nowhere in between sorry for your loss you are welcome to join the raider nation i appreciate that sanjeet sanji is one of my buddies really good guy um one one of the um throw your twitter in the chat sent you that so people could follow one of the the better raider raider analysts out there um those great live streams for all the raiders fans watching a huge part of raider nation and just an all-around really really great guy so i love you sanji thank you for uh thank you for supporting and uh lending a shoulder to cry on i guess but he's a great guy um alex sanded for ten dollars how has pradee brady and aryan's respective philosophies affected one another do you think aryans and his staff um and quarterback run an elite offense in terms of scheme or is the raw player talent propping them up this is a fascinating question because i think early in the year you saw a lot of miscommunications with brady and his receivers because brady is used to very specific adjustments on routes with receivers that know him well you know edelman obviously gronk who's with him in tampa um jacoby myers caught on with him really quick like he like if you uh if you're running like say a post route and you see middle field closed he wants it run a certain way if it's middle field closed pre-snap he'll probably want you to release outside and then bend it back inside like really tight on the seam so he can look it off and then try to ear hold the defender who presumably will have his back turned like they did that all the time with grog like he wants it run that way if they show one high pre-snap and then rotate too high and you're releasing outside then you better bend that like way inside to get deep to the middle um because he's gonna have to lead you super far inside which means you have to again you're using your arm differently to create separation and get over the top and it's like i'm talking like inches difference in terms of how the routes release and where they end up versus different coverages uh we saw some interceptions early in the year where evans ran things differently than what brady was expecting and this has nothing to do with aryan's system it's just what brady's comfortable with and then toward the back half of the year we saw those route adjustments start to be run how brady likes them balls started connecting deep down the field the turnovers got cut down so i i think it's less about aryan's philosophy and more about like they call them sight adjusts more about how routes are adjusted against certain coverages and what brady prefers uh you know what he's been doing against certain coverages for 20 years it took time for mike evans to catch on to that it took time for godwin to catch on to that um it just it takes it takes a while to i think learn how brady plays and now they're in a good spot like aryans they run a lot of the same stuff that mcdaniels does those different formations different personnel groupings but every offense in the league runs middle reed you know they just do it more than anybody else and middle reed for those you don't know it's basically three verts you got two go rough down the boundary and then uh the number two strong again it's the same thing it's they call it middle read because the middle receiver is reading the coverage if it's one high you just keep it going up the seam if it's too high you bend it into the post like they run that more than anybody but the patriots ran it too it's just tom has very specific adjustments for that middle reed depending on pre-snap and post-snap looks that he that he likes so again um overall in terms of raw talent propping them up i wouldn't necessarily say it's that it's just about getting on the same page it's just about getting on the same page which they are now and that's why they're a better offense now uh than they may have been ever um i am so sorry about not keeping up with all the super chats by the way you guys are incredible i i really do apologize thank you to everybody who's thrown support i i did not expect that i did not expect that many super chats not gonna lie so i apolo for the for the draft stream this afternoon it's gonna be all super chats because we don't have time to do anything else so again if you have draft specific questions save them for the draft stream at 5 pm eastern uh me and ej will go for hours just taking draft questions and if you did a super chat for a draft question and i haven't got to it please save it ask it again um and you don't even have to do another super chat just ask it again in that in that draft stream and and i'll hit it there nathan miller or sorry joseph hooper for ten dollars what are the best tackle prospects the chiefs can go after in the draft or off season uh luckily for them this is a great draft and this is this is another draft class uh question but i'll just do it here because i had it queued up uh this is a great tackle class there's at least a dozen that's going to go in the first two rounds so in terms of who they can go after in the draft you're looking at christensen from byu uh you're looking at the virginia tech kid who might not be there but he's just a a strong hulking massive human being uh raddens from north dakota state who's the senior bowl right now who i like uh hudson from cincinnati's got really good feet probably won't go in the first round you probably get him on day two or just trade out of the first round and get him on day two but he's got really really good tools um god there's a million of them this year like they're not gonna get slater they're not gonna get sewell but everybody else i think is on the table for them oh man who else could they get uh let me pull it up who could go in the first round darasaw uh is like the one that i think fits them really really well but i don't know if he'll be there they might actually have to trade up for him but he he was phenomenal in passport this year elijah vera tucker i've not watched him personally yet but i've heard good things about him so he's also in the mix for mid to late first round pick i'll take a look at him for you uh man who's another one uh cosmi from texas again i have not looked at him yet but i will uh jackson carmen uh so here's the thing with jackson from uh clemson i've i've chatted with him a little bit really good dude he's working with duke manny weather so i think he is going to get better this offseason i think there were some technical issues that he had uh in last year clemson's particularly with his hands but duke i think is going to fix those so i think you look at him as like a good day 2 tackle as well assuming that duke works his magic with him just like he did with mackay becton last year and lane johnson and ryan jensen and all these all pro tackles that duke trains up every off season i think jackson carmen um could potentially benefit from that as well worst case scenario he's a really good guard so uh the chiefs have options 100 have options there's gonna be a tackle there at 31 or 32 and they're going to be able to get a good one assuming that eric fisher is done with them um oh god okay where do i even start here this started out as a texas rant and it slowly turned into a q a yeah not what i expected not what i expected uh keep up the grind i appreciate that i have two film rooms coming out within the next week and a draft stream later today i am not gonna have any voice by the end of friday but uh it's that time of year man we just gotta grind through it just get to get to april get to the draft that's all i care about i can sleep in june but i appreciate that uh marcus everling for ten dollars what do you think caused the steelers to crash and burn so badly after going 11-0 to start the season do you think uh their new offensive coordinator will help resolve next season uh who is their new offensive coordinator have they hired one yet hold on let me see here and bye oh matt canada i totally forgot they promoted him so he was he was under and then they promoted him from within um so here's the thing with mac canada motion motion motion motion motion i talked earlier about cliff kingsbury not using enough motion matt canada's like the one guy who uses too much damn motion not in the sense of like motion percentage but like every single play takes all 40 seconds of the play clock because there's like three motions every single play it is wild when you watch a mac canada offense because i don't think anybody ever sits still it's really fun to watch in like an entertaining sort of way just because there's so much motion but i think that's good i would rather have too much motion than too little uh especially with if they keep ben which is a big if he would benefit from that because motion just gives him more information at the end of the day so that he can get in and out of the best play possible not to mention that he already has a working relationship with ben so i i think that can definitely work uh in terms of what i think caused the steelers to crash and burn so badly they couldn't run the ball you know they put everything on ben whose arm is shot and they they really did not want to push the ball down the field that much because they couldn't so if you can't run the ball and you can't throw deep all you're really left with is the quick game uh in the intermediate passing game so dbs were just squatting on it and their offense completely fell apart so that to me was their problem they really need to be to find out how to run the ball um canada i think can help with that a little bit because i think you can use motion to cause problems in run fits the ravens do it all the damn time i did an episode on it like motion and how it causes problems with run fits it's like one of the bigger offensive trends right now because it changes the numbers at the last second so they can do that but number one priority get better at running the ball if ben is your quarterback because you're still not going to be able to throw deep next year so you better be able to run it or else they're going to have no consistency mikey goodman for 20 huge fan for years now thank you mikey where do you think the eagles should go with the number six pick uh if devonta smith is there devonta smith i i would love him i would love him there because they they need above all a receiver that can separate not just a receiver that can stretch the field deep but somebody who can get open within two seconds like win off the line of scrimmage make a contested catch get some yards after catch like i love jalen rager for what he is but i never build him as a true number one receiver he was never going to be a true number one wide receiver they need a true number one for me devonta smith he's a lighter but he moves just like justin jefferson he runs routes just like justin jefferson he can be a justin jefferson type player um will he get 1400 yards probably not but in terms of skill set like the only thing that he doesn't have of jefferson's is his weight but in terms of movement skills route running acumen hands he's he's that kind of player so i would love for them to get devonta smith at sixth overall regardless of who their quarterback is uh i i think i think that would be a perfect fit plus jalen hurts i think has worked with him before if i remember correctly when jalen got pulled in the national championship game and tua came in and to his true freshman season uh he threw that game-winning touchdown in the championship game to devonta smith so when uh when he was a sophomore devonta was a true freshman if i remember correctly so there's a working relationship there if they don't keep wins um let's see oh wow uh 25 here we go from uh guillermo du fleis i hope i'm pronouncing that correctly hi brett uh oh brazil okay that's what that is i was like is that russian so brazil so thank you welcome from brazil hi brett the texans wanted to interview brian guticunes but the packers offered him the job first what do you think of that and goot's job in green bay watching you from brazil uh that's interesting i i totally forgot about that story about but the texans were kind of zeroing in on him and then the packers wanted to basically just make sure that goody stayed with them forever uh i think he's a good gm i think he's he's done he's got a lot of talent uh he's accrued a lot of talent over the years for that team i mean i know that the defense was kind of ass this year but when you look at the talent on the defense i mean it's kenny clark he brought in preston smith he brought in cedaria smith he drafted rashaan gary who really came on in the back half of the year darnell savage jair alexander like there were some few crucial misses like kevin king but there's still a lot of talent on that defense talent was not the main problem so good cons did his job he drafted good players he brought in good players in free agency added value he did what he's supposed to do as a gm i think he's really good not to mention their offense that he built uh at least helped build is was arguably the best in the league so talent not the problem there i think uh defensive coordinator was a little bit of an issue and that's about it like that that team on paper should be in the super bowl right now so of course i think he's a good general manager would i want him to be with the texans obviously at least back then i would have because perhaps he would have built a better team that uh deshawn watson would have wanted to stay with so yeah if they actually got to bring in him all the way back then yeah deshawn would probably still be a texan and we'd have a better team and we would be winning divisions and maybe making playoff runs like i it sucks because ah the packers got the better end of the deal there but yeah i like good events i think it's good gm i really do uh let's see what we got here i uh unfortunately only have i did not expect this to turn into like a q a by the way i only have a couple more minutes to go and then i have to start draft prep and then i have to record some stuff for the film room episode so i apologize for all of the super chats that i'm not getting to but i promise uh if you just dm me on twitter if i did not get to your super chat dm me on twitter um and i will i will answer your question uh personally just let me know you know what because i can go back and look at the super chats that came in just let me know what your your super chat was uh on twitter or you can email me at brett.a.colman gmail.com and i will answer it there if i don't get to it on the draft stream as well but again i 100 appreciate everybody that uh that sent these in today so i'll do a couple more on the stream and then the rest again just hit me up on twitter and i'll answer it there uh treyo for ten dollars do you think the ravens should use their first round pick for a wide receiver or should they trade for a proven veteran like locket from seattle maybe he uh can be what diggs was to josh allen um i would probably go with first round pick just because of the financial investment because you can get a guy as good at least in this receiving core or in this receiving class you can get a guy as good as locket for a hell of a lot less money and investment than lock it so let's say uh see bateman i think is probably the easy one that i mentioned earlier bateman from minnesota i think would be a great first round pick for them uh in the 20s i think that's that's perfectly acceptable cadarius tony i think well i don't know they just drafted the kid from texas last year so they already have a slot there like tony's more of a slot guy bateman's more outside so i'd probably lean bateman there uh john adams from arkansas state you could look at probably like around four-ish or so um god who else who's another boundary receiver a sage sarat i think is a really good boundary receiver that can help them on the outside but he's not that different than boykin so maybe that's kind of like just having two of the same thing but really bateman i think is is like their best fit in terms of num true number one wide receiver that wins on the outside has deep speed great route runner phenomenal hands like bateman to me in in the ravens i'll probably have him to baltimore in every single mock draft that i do all the way up through the end of april if we're being real but i i love baton for that uh and then here we go last one here man i my voice is killing me i cannot believe uh all the questions that i've got today uh football 51 for 1999 thank you for the donation buddy condolences from a colts fan love hearing your takes sorry you have to deal with this what do you think the cults will be like if they have stafford next year uh playoff team again but way more dangerous way more dangerous in terms of ability to threaten deep down the field in terms of ability to make plays off schedule like stafford's a magician off schedule we know that they still need a left tackle but luckily for them this is a very good left tackle class so they're going to be able to get one and replace castanzo i think with a very comparable option especially if they can do it without if they can get stafford without using a second round pick they can get a left tackle in round two staff are using their first round pick they still have a dominant defense uh i really love their coaching staff like that would be a better team next year than they were this past year and they were already very very good this past year so i think they would probably be my favorite for the south would they be able to challenge uh the chiefs for a first round buy potentially i would still probably lean kc there but it's a discussion i still think they would at least be the best team in the division which means you're looking at like a three or four seed type team for them uh maybe a two seed even uh but yeah they would be that's a fantastic fit for stafford when it first came out that he requested a trade i actually like tweeted out that night i was like colts are the best fit it makes sense from so many different angles in terms of financial investment in terms of what they need to make a super bowl push right now he fits their skill position talent like him and pitman would be a dream come true he fits mo alley cox in terms of just being able to throw up jump ball after jump ball uh him and heinz and taylor together would be great the defense is there they just need stafford and a left tackle and they're ready to rock and roll and i think that would be uh that'd be a hell of a team they'd be very very hard to beat um but yeah with that again thank you to everybody for for for tuning in and letting me grieve and um give me so many great questions again just send me if i didn't got if i did not get to your super chat just go on twitter at brett coleman send me which super chat was yours uh we'll we'll have we'll have a private conversation about that just because i i physically impossible to get to all of them today uh but i appreciate all the support i appreciate you guys sticking with me you guys are uh the best audience i could imagine um i i don't know what i would do without you guys i really don't like i i it's amazing that this is my job it's amazing that i get paid to talk to you guys about football every day and i'm i'm so grateful for that so again thank you for tuning in thank you for making my dream come true um and yeah let's have a good super bowl week let's have a good draft season we'll attack this together jack easter b deshaun watson forever i'll see you guys later
