Deploy to GitHub Pages with Custom GitHub Actions

so github pages just got a refresh you can now use any static site generator to deploy your app to github pages with the help of git of actions let me show you how i do this using next.js i'm using the simplenext app and will navigate to settings and select pages once i'm here i'm going to set the build and deployment source to github actions where i can configure the nextjs actions workflow you'll see a starter workflow that we've defined to make your deployment a lot easier i'm going to commit this directly to the main branch only because this is a demo and let's go to the actions tab where we'll be able to see the workflow in action once all steps are completed i can click the deployed link and see my next app on github pages
