one two three let's switch this up [Music] hey everybody good morning welcome back to another video um today's video I am going to be filming um a day in the life of a dental assistant but this time it's going to be completely different we're gonna actually be sitting in the front so you guys can get a feels of what it's like to sit in the front and um it's gonna be a little bit different because I am going to be like um canceling out some words that I say because I don't want you guys to know some of you know HIPAA Violet I'm not HIPAA violent like I don't want to expose people due to HIPAA violations so I hope you enjoy this video make sure you hit the like subscribe and hit the notifications button so you can get notified every single time I post a video and it's also bring your child to work today actually I've been bringing her to work every single day I've been bringing her to my job every single day um but yeah don't forget to um subscribe and like and notifications bye so we had to do a really quick Starbucks run we got a Starbucks over here you know Starbucks is live Starbucks wastes my money also having a child wastes your money but it's okay because it's all worth it and I got McDonald's and and she got okay she got a hot chocolate and then she got McDonald's you know we gotta keep our kids fed um but yeah basically what I got is a venti iced white mocha with vanilla cold foam and a more caramel and also quad so I need a lot of energy sometimes I enjoy the feeling of being very like energized in the morning that's why I drink coffee every single day but um yeah we're driving now to work I am at a red stop sign so I have to go bye create our notice for nobody's mad at me um I've got uh so the first thing I did when I got to work in the morning was go through the voicemail system and this patient had covered so he left a voicemail saying that he wouldn't be able to make it into his appointment I made sure I called him back and let him know that we can reschedule I'm also writing notes down so I could remember to reschedule other patients so because we weren't in Saturday and Sunday nobody picked up the phone so a lot of patients were calling to reschedule and we do have a fee so nobody wants to get charged for not showing up then I had some new patients call asking to see if we accept their insurance and then I try my best to schedule them on another day I'm trying to fill up the schedule as you can see it's pretty empty for the following week okay so I'm coming to the back because a patient um called that we have not delivered her crown and it's been over a month which is not a good thing but damn I found the patient's Crown unfortunately someone did not book their appointment so I want to go ahead and do that for her and now I have officially completed what I had to do I don't know much about billing so I can't help with that sadly okay so now I'm walking to the pharmacy because I need to get some stuff foreign [Music] okay thank you so I am walking to throw the trash away but do not judge this is all the trash there is there isn't really much to do I already finished calling the patients and confirming for tomorrow and I want to go home after I toss the trash I went to the back and I made a really quick tick tock and then I decided to go home so here's my attempt on trying to work at the front office I did four hours and I'm so excited that four hours were completed yay um don't forget to subscribe back home and um I wasn't able to finish the day because the front office I feel like I don't know much about front office all I know is how to verify insurances how to schedule patients um how to break down benefits and that's pretty much it I just know the basics um everything was basically done um I don't know how to um do any of the billing so I couldn't help with that but my doctor was enabled to go into work today because he broke his no he did not break his thumb but he hurt his thumb and he had stitches like all over his fingers so he needed to get that fixed um he couldn't work because you know our money makers are right here so he wasn't able to work unfortunately and we had to cancel the patients and we had to cancel the patients for the following day so we had to make the schedule look presentable for other days um but I'm sorry that I couldn't show you much more than the front office um duties it was just more of the basic duties but I hope you enjoyed this video don't forget to give it a thumbs up a like and a subscribe just want to inform you guys that I post all things so I could be posting Dental Assisting one day and the other day I could be posting Vlogs so just to let you know don't forget to subscribe and thank you guys so much for watching till next time
