now i should hear you hey man hey hey how are you today very happy to hear you uh you know i was i was reading up a bit about your your career on likopedia i saw you started pro gaming when you were 17 as well uh yeah like i if i can call it pro gaming yeah i guess because it's it said you played some warcraft 3 early on when you were 17 you played some ukrainian land tournaments and then dota came out and you thought this is amazing yeah i was following you like i was watching your games [Music] i was watching a lot of replays you know like i was a huge fan of warcraft i think like very huge fan of warcraft i didn't start playing from the most early days like uh professionally or anything like this but after some time i got into it pretty hard so i spent insane amount of time in the game not only in dota but overall like in warcraft and then in a lot of different games inside worker and did you have like uh tournaments in international tournaments for dota 1 because i don't remember i knew we got popular in 2k4 2k5 and when i would be at internet cafes like in asia i would hear warcraft sounds but it'd be all dota 1 for the most part not really warcraft melee so i knew it was popular and i played it a little bit myself and i liked it but i wanted to focus on the warcraft 3 tournament career but like was it like big yet dota between 2005 and 2000 like 2010 also for you did you play tourneys um i can say that i remember that a lot of workers players would not take dota seriously at all and i can understand them like it was kind of like for many players that i talked to here in my country whatever like in ukraine like uh uh they actually were saying that it's not the game you know it's it was always like that so it was kind of from i don't know from jealousy but dota was getting so popular so fast you know and warcraft is like uh was not getting that much popularity which is weird for me too like i'm i i'm super fan of workers for me workers is like you know um it's just like i love um pro level i mean i love competition right yeah i love how complex and hard the game is like that just takes me in fully and then combine it with all the fantasy world you know like all these things like with the world of warcraft right so it's it's actually a crazy amazing game to me so um dota was yeah kind of getting popular popularity since 2000 i don't know what year like i actually read about it on some ukrainian forum back in the days but there's actually already tournaments going between countries you know like usa against russia against sweden and i was like what's going on like i was curious you know like oh my god it's crazy why we don't have a team ukraine you know like and i was a kid obviously so i start okay we need to do it in ukraine you know going uh through into this direction and everybody would laugh at me on forums back in the days about this you know like haha what you want kid and then in two years later or something i was already playing for team ukraine that's a motivational story i would say uh yeah in china it was getting super big super fast like china was like actually growing the most and pushing the game the most i think i believe yeah same as for workers probably right yeah yeah like yeah china worker three was huge and then like when it comes to dota it was really big in many different countries like korea china malaysia yeah it was like i and you're right by the way what you were saying about the jealousy like dota was for fun and it was like the easy game that's how we saw it the rts players those that didn't want to play and warcraft 3 is for serious competition and then you know league of legends came out and we felt the same way about that game and now exactly now actually dota 2 feels that way about league and about hearts and about almost any game to the point that the community has like become so aware of how complicated dota 2 can be that they they were warning me like when once you play dota 2 like it's going to be so difficult it'll be hard to get into and stuff i think it's pretty close to warcraft like yeah there's a lot to learn on it i know almost nothing but each game that has some level of complexity is i think it's great to get into it same as you like it just uh it's immediately getting i'm getting sad actually with the new games that coming out were more and more and more casual you know all this way with switching to girls casuality all the time i understand the reason behind it but it's making me sad and from a little bit it sometimes happens to dota 2 but it's getting more casual like in a way it's like more easier for newcomers and stuff so i'm not sure how i feel about that but other than that yeah like of course warcraft is much harder game much more complex i completely agree on that dota is more about like uh deep you know it's pretty deep now it was 10 years ago it was different game like there was much much much less fans now it's much much much more like a lot of things added yeah and there's there's a lot of heroes so like i think it'd be fair to say like even you who have i don't know 10 20 000 hours in the game you wouldn't have played every match up yet every five hero combination against every five i would imagine like it's almost impossible like there's so many options or do you think you've played every single combination um probably not probably not honestly i don't know because it's hard to say i still experience new situations in warcraft 3 sometimes 20 years later i'm still like hey this never happened to me before in a game and i think dota 2 is a game like that as well just like wc3 absolutely that's why i think everybody falls in love with the game because this game is so in-depth that you always open new things i i'm also every day even before patch came out like i could find something new in the game for myself yeah and that amazed me you know yeah it always drive me it's great for replayability so yeah i just i just got into it i have 17 hours in the game i was kind of 17 17 i had played dota 1 for like a week i really liked it but i forced myself to stop games like dota 1 and wow to focus on my warcraft 3 career and now that i'm like more of a tryhard casual and i finally started to play some different games dota 2 was just one of the different games that i tried recently but i really liked it and it seems like a great community despite warnings you know people were like turn off chat turn off chat don't use voice chat be careful it's dark sake i haven't felt that yet maybe i'll still get lucky like yeah there were a couple of people that insulted insulted me in in unranked games but you know just wait for it just wait for it it's coming for you if you're gonna play not 17 hours but 70 hours you're already gonna talk differently i i started on an a to z challenge i tried out a couple of different heroes i'm just like i played three strength heroes three intelligence maybe one or two agility and that's about it so i've tried tried maybe eight or nine different heroes i'm just beginning but i really love the game it's it's a lot of fun and it feels familiar as a warcraft player it's incredible when you study the little mini details how many things are the same such as natural hero magic resistance here is 25 in warcraft 3 it's 30 and then things like turn rate and when you attack your own minion or hero sorry your own creep or hero that the enemy ai re-targets away from you that kind of stuff like it's it's pretty cool how much was faithfully copied from uh dota 1 and wc3 mechanics yeah it was done on purpose i think a lot of players were very very worried the dota 1 fans but dota 2 gonna be different and they didn't want that because we lost the game so hard everybody like i myself i was begging uh whoever was doing the game like on valve is please do it so it it will be the same you know were you involved with that at all or it wasn't that fast not really not really i could just give feedback on some things so all those kind of things that like you say turn rate or body blocking or anything because there is a lot of games like other mobas or whatever they have no hero collision or how does it fall yeah yeah like and no no body block or whatever and i think all those things they are small very complicated but they add this like spicy beauty to the game you know that exactly it needs to be so you know how i feel about it when people ask don't you think warcraft 3 reforged should have been remade in the starcraft engine oh well of course not you would have lost the ability to body block and surround like you do in warcraft 3. all those little mechanics that create a kind of magical beauty to how you control units and block the enemy in starcraft 2 it's a fantastic engine perhaps the best rts engine ever made i i really think so but it also leads to ai being too smart and then you can't do those same body blocks and surrounds that make worker 3 micro so interesting so so you're saying that's still in the game for dota right like worker three style body blocking so can you show me of course np nature's profit yeah i had a toxic nature's profit in my game recently it's fun seeing which ones were inspired by which heroes in wc3 oh yeah like most of those heroes uh we are very familiar yeah very close to wc okay so and i'm gonna try to walk to uh this building oh okay when they switch directions i'll block a few years okay basically i will attack you with furion oh yeah yeah it works very similarly to wc3 wow yeah maybe even like surrounding works almost similar i heard you can do a little bit different i heard you can do it three points around but it's very difficult uh with three units it's probably you need big unions because first uh transfer is small yeah yeah maybe with big heroes maybe it's possible but actually be free it's very hard you need some place yeah let me probably saw already a bunch of them and if anything you can buy the block you can create a lot of different things uh you can be creative with what you're doing i think a lot of players in the game are pretty lazy even on high level to maximize efficiency with summon units that you can do because you can do so many things like you can kill runes or bounty runes you can block camps neutral camps so they don't spawn like if a unit stands on neutral camp i've seen that a century ward like on a on a neutral camp it has to be empty for it to respawn right yeah same goes for units ah i i'd love to like uh watch like a commentated game of yours too like maybe we'll get to that uh like you you play or or maybe we can just do like fewer games like we can do anything like i would enjoy it sure anything if you play and i will just uh talk okay uh shall i stream you you think i should boot up an unranked game and you uh you you teach me some concepts of course of course anything like uh i possible okay and your hero have 305 movement speed which is pretty fast hero compared to different intelligent heroes okay so i'm most likely not gonna get run down to too badly yeah and you have very big stats like you have high damage high armor this hero is monster up here uh up here on the cliff skill okay uh someone said don't put it on the predictable hill because uh it'll be easily dewarded by people exactly but but we're doing it for for the sake of ease anyway and still people do it because if you do it first it's very hard to realize for enemy like only they should do the blind checks so now she's closely uh should i like attack from the side so that the minions don't hit me and just keep hitting enemy heroes yeah uh you can exchange actually a little bit with enemies you can do like you do from side ricky have high uh armor and high region okay so the other one if possible it's still fine to hit it's still fine to hit the other one is a bit harder for you to hit because his range yeah he's faster so the point is yeah keep going yes there is uh creep aggro range and creep aggro uh time and creep aggro cooldown so for example if you attack oops on enemy hero away from 500 range from creep wave then they don't hit me yeah they will not hit you for 1.8 seconds or something huh so you can abuse it to not shake up the wave is it uh a mortal sin when i steal creeps when i think my ally is gonna fail getting it no it's absolutely fine like uh honestly it doesn't even matter if you leave creeps for your teammate or not because what matters is how you're gonna use uh the gold and experience you earn if you use it if you're gonna use it well then you both can farm uh for example ai uh when i don't know if you know about it like it used to be ai in dota and they don't have these positions one two three four five oh yeah right yeah right they played really really well so they just yeah together yeah super well so are you saying that players learned from watching ai with some kind of random constellation draft on different lanes just realizing that hey it can still be good when whoever gets the gold um not exactly this but i'm pretty sure players learn something yeah not exactly this but the thing is um if you do steal some creeps from your players they might get mad right because you're not playing with friends so yeah also a little bit different story yeah still is like i don't want to teach you bad things so as a support in most cases you give it four yeah yeah yeah because your allies are a resource as well and you don't want to piss them off dota is a mental game because it's a team game yeah and what does my e do again uh oh it's asleep yeah you can also hit in in the sleep so you can set up kills you can also sleep and heat inside yes yeah i learned that last time you can only auto attack them or cast spells that don't deal damage and there's a one second invincibility uh period oh yeah and that's uh with spell if you have very good reactions and you'll know all the different spells you'll be able to save your teammates for example in hard situations from focus how are they buffing these creeps it looks like they're giving buffs to the uh to the crips it's the new creep with coming each two minutes he's just uh giving uh hp vision i guess that's something i read it's new patch oh it's new patch things yeah okay and it happens automatically uh yeah it happened automatically and you killed and you get uh bonus gold in 1200 aoe oh wow so they're giving uh they're giving a higher emphasis of importance on certain crypts in order to create this one action moment this one you see with a flag yeah yeah okay be careful oops you're good now you need to run probably yep so the best power you always can do is damage spell yeah this spell is also like giving you mana i mean your hp bike stop so yes do you think i should buy mangoes or clarity right now or do i just literally chill and do almost nothing that's what i always don't know at this phase you can buy sticks it's it's very good to always have some resources because if you don't have any resources it's not good for your lane yeah like for your teammate so i should buy sticky things stick and mango you can do should i go full for the magic wand or just the magic stick no no just magic stick and you can aim for arcane booth for example i guess yeah okay and uh mango oh you already know all the items like a little bit i still have to sometimes use the typing field in order to find something when people are like get the i don't know aegis well not the easiest but get this this item i have to go find it you can also give tango to your teammate you have no reason already okay i just gave fun it's very nice of you i think he insta he's like ah finally thanks dendy actually have kill potential in this lane okay considering who didn't have no boots can be pretty easy target for you later but for now you both have no mana yeah exactly what does this again oh yeah and feeble if this oh it's reducing all their regen and whatnot yeah you know about denies right yes i haven't done any yet but i am aware that it's a good thing to do yes it's it it's much worse than it used to be it used to be very like important very profitable it's not that big yeah very profitable it was changing with a time like at first it was taking entire experience from uh your enemies like hundred percent and now you would get zero if it's the night now it's i think it's like thirty percent or something third year or less oh not even half i think chad not mistake i thought chad told me half but maybe it changed again uh maybe maybe i'm wrong don't worry i coached someone in warcraft 3 recently and i also realized that i didn't actually know everything which can be disappointing but everybody's saying shut up in my chat i don't know so i haven't done anything special yet as a support shouldn't i be pulling creeps and stuff to do special things like that um you could do that uh another thing is when your brewmaster using cinder brew like the beer thing yeah you can use your brain sap and it will deal bonus damage from right right he has armor debuff oh i see i just read it something like increased spell damage uh his cinder brew is like the second spell on brewmaster he dropped the beer and you use your spell and when the beer like getting on fire you know and enemy burns i say so that's basically it so someone else can trigger it not just like waka three panda where only his own fireworks contribute he can do it he can do it also but with his thunder club like with his first spell on brewmaster so any spell can trigger it any damage spoken understood so about uh pulling neutrals uh on creep waves yeah yes you you could do that okay that's your lanes it's always good and neutrals are here oh i'll do that goes home when those creeps when those creeps gonna be around here you do one hit yeah and move to bottom and you cannot tp bottom already yeah your tp is cool down so usually when some nothing happens in most cases if you have no real thing to do you you better run okay okay you lose a little bit of xp maybe just a little bit but you will save a tp because cpu is very important but i'm not sure if it's very important now it's just sure yeah i think small things chat told me that anytime you die you just tip it back to the tower but maybe that's like a gross simple oversimplification i agree i agree don't listen to me if i could listen to chad always got it listen to the chat why isn't he weird face in the game where i'm like just kind of floating around like a ghost not sure what to do um you can reveal enemy smokes that's what you can usually do you can protect your cores or you can set up a ganks for your team but if iran is five you can you cannot set up anything yeah basically it's a team fight oh it's five of them only three of you yeah one guy is still troll warlord is still deep soaking okay if i started not really good for you but doom is wasted for them so when rubik is up you guys can go small i don't know what rubric is rubik is the hero that died for you oh i i don't know this hero yet it's pretty cool hero you'll love it yeah i'm not surprised that troll warlord is dying does he get a kill what the hell what the hell is this hero i mean he stayed deep in okay one smoke if possible you can carry it in stash but you just need to have it why are they all magic immune uh we're not now bicky bdp it's magic man you might actually have him nice you got him it's a good fight for you you can put hops here maybe i'm silent yeah good vision sleep him yeah it's fine should i sleep him or is that griefing it's griefing but it's okay uh century for ricky and but it's better to farm lane so the point is on lane you get more one creep wave is kind of like an ancient stock which is like big an ancient lane you get more it's the same golden experience almost like engine stuck one creep wave what is an ancient stack engine stack is here it's like the oh there's different neutral cam slow one level two level three oh okay basically this is this is a big neutral creep with uh and there is like small neutral creep there was i don't know if it's now because the map changed where is middle neutral creeps so they all have their own nations neutral creeps there's a bounty he forgot to pick up yeah like this is new so this is ancient uh camp it's pretty strong but it gives the most amount of gold and experiences see i see so i just keep buying more bought an energy booster and what you can do is what people usually do so there is some items you can disassemble and you bought arcane boots with energy booster and boots so you can actually disassemble those arcane boots to get energy boosted from them you can try it if you want why uh why would it oh okay and then uh wait why would i want to do that uh instead of buying another energy booster you can have it from uh arcane boots all right it's basically saving gold because oh my god you might not need arcane boots later in the game uh so you're saying instead of buying it as i did i could have not bought it and skipped the boots for now is that what you mean um basically you break arcane boots and you just have brown boots because you don't care like you already don't need that much mana okay at that stage of the game so then you save the money for needing to buy energy booster again yes yes yes you'll be a bit slower like just a little bit by movement smith but i already bought it so it's too late now right yeah yeah just for future yeah you you can do it so you have in mind so it doesn't really matter that much people still do it sometimes i'm gonna try to tp in to try and help yeah that's good one that's good one it might be a good fight because we used some spells before i thought we were dying but he's still alive raw is pretty fat so you have a good chance you use it you have 50 magic resistance and invisibility so it's very good to save your teammates from spell damage okay if somebody is getting focused from death profit let's say or who doing who's death prophet the prophet is uh this lady the banshee yeah banshee i because i played dota for so long i didn't touch warcraft i actually forgot the warcraft names on many of them but you know you know what i meant so it works out but if you if you ask me the name of a hero i will insta probably say uh so juggernaut is your narrow you know pages butcher and all those things oh he's got storm earth and fire the brewmaster the triple panda a bunch is krobos that's right wait what is krobulus is that the dota1 alternative name i think so yeah oh no wow oh you guys are doing some job there and maybe you had a chance to sleep freaking madriki have like two spells uh that can interrupt you one is this dagger but you falling in sleep and nothing you can do about that yeah teammates can help and another one is like his smokescreen but he puts the first spell inside the small screen you cannot cast spells at all so it's pretty strong against mages and supports and it feels like when i start nightmare to sleep he can interrupt reactively to stop me yeah if you if you sleep you mean finn's grip ultimate he can do sleep experience you can just sleep and you don't care finn's grip is the channel spell channeling spell yeah he he can cancel with a smoke screen or dagger or you mean something else um when i try to nightmare it seems like they can interrupt me like it doesn't always proc or they're like magic immune or something oh yeah you cannot sleep major community unions but uh yeah i'm not familiar yet which ones are going to be turning magic immune i see but you know how bkb looks right yes by now i kind of know though i heard it got nerfed now it costs mana yeah now it's 50 mana in this patch so maybe some money burn heroes gonna benefit a little bit from that so breaking bar in uh warcraft is mounting king ultimate right yeah avatar strength magic community and extra physical damage uh but here you don't have uh strength and physical damage you just get major community oh and starts from an item oh dead already this guy is often alone to die first sadly it's okay oh much more chances to win this game if you manage to make your team move together but it's sometimes i can't hit him with my spells invisible big burst ricky is a noob stomper 100 percent yeah sounds like valera nova the cloakers this doom looks freaking cool what's he basically actually played now i think oh really you played hot before a little bit yeah of course i tried every other moba game dota is my second moba unless you count mobile mobas i played someone mobile phone i played league of legends before so i i tried everything and the heroes of universe awesome okay wow that burst oh yeah yeah um not really he's strength hero so he's just naturally tanky but he's not real tank but the way he build up he is very tanky he have even halberd and south koros and vladimir's let's see 10 armor that's one of the best team items in the game south koras it's mostly against physical damage course and it's usually done on those tanky heroes seems really good against our troll warlord who seems mostly an auto attacker yeah troll is full physical damage what do you call that just physical damage you don't say auto attacker and dodger too you can say that but mostly probably just physical damage physical damage here you can still buy some items that give you magical damage there is monkey king bar where is those items broke i just ran in and died like a noob the whole game is very rough for you already at this point because of freaky it's super hard to play like you need to kind of hide most of the team fight and then just try to focus rikki down or something like that's the only way for you to play or wait until ricky jumps on somebody else when you see him you go out like that's what way how to play this what would be the usual way for me to prioritize my spells against this team would it be to cast and feeble on ricky uh who do i eat uh i think health region reduction is very good on dp because on bunches oh yeah yeah she has spirit siphon like and she's healing with that like she's stealing hell from enemies so it's very good to cast in feeble on her i guess also they have dazzle who is healer so anybody you're focusing in people is good to put on oh yeah like if your team is focusing somebody like it's good to put in people so dazzle heals less because dazzle is a healer oh that's a good kill 13 27 crits yeah playing support in late game can be very very rough sometimes so when when you're playing against uh heroes like this but dealing and saying insane glass cannon damage what you can go for is iron disc it's probably one of the best uh a on disc okay it seems like he just took max damage from our fountain on purpose and then stayed alive to show that he could if that's all grave he can do it also does a grave give you invulnerability for oh okay five seconds like not in vulnerability but you will be one hp and there is like few spells in the game that goes through that or maybe not even few axe ultimate for example goes through dazzle grey okay that was pretty cool yeah it was fun uh kind of a tough hero i guess the easiest one so far was uh i guess axe i followed the guide to get blink and then i would just blink in and cast taunt or what's it called berserker's call and i would take the armor that gets a bonus damage return when people hit me and i use battle hunger and then yeah it was it was pretty straightforward i would initiate try to get a big taunt and then team would follow up that was easier than support for sure
