Demonstration of Subaru Baja's unique features

hi there everybody it's mike barnes from dave wright nissan subaru today i'm going to show you a subaru baja and some of the neat things that they do the one right behind me is a 2005 and it's on the lot for sale but one thing a lot of people don't realize is some of the versatile aspects that they have in the back truck bed so first i'm going to show you in the back seat you have of course the back seat and it's just like a regular four four people can sit you know two in the front two in the back but if you want to haul a long board or anything uh or actually like lay down in the back some people and sleep in the back with their feet out here's how you undo all this so if you look in here you'll see this little tab right here you pull that and then the bottom of the seat comes up and then right up right back here give you a little shot of that little thing right there you pull up on that and then these back seats go flat and then if you can kind of get a shot right in through here now you see this little door and this opens just like flip this little lever now it's a pass so when i said some people sleep in here i've had people that get toppers on the back and then they put their head here they lay their whole body through this gap but it's also made for just calling boards or gear or whatever but if you get a shot of it from behind you can see it goes all the way through so a lot of people will utilize the space this way sleeping or vice versa that way but it's pretty cool a lot of people don't know that it does that it's like a pass through the other thing that it does you can get a tail bed extender when you flip this down this one doesn't have it but they have these bars that can come out and attach so it extends this bed when you put that in you can take your license plate flip that up like so that way when this is down your license plate is still visible from the people behind you so when you have this down you've got your plate down and then your bars will come out like so and then it'll keep everything kind of contained in the back bed also you'll see little indentations here and over here i've had people put like one by fours across and then a little piece of plywood and make a shelf system very cool so this is a subaru baja very rare this is a 2005 on the lot for sale just got a little over 100 000 miles i think 110 000 miles here we'll flip the seats back up i'll let you get another shot of that so that's with the back seat totally down and then you just flip it all back up and then it's all down more people can get in there really easily show you a little shot of the front it's automatic transmission all-wheel drive cruise control cd player these things that have almost seven inches of ground clearance 6.7 inches of ground clearance i believe so this is mike barnes at dave wright nissan subaru i thank you very much for listening and i hope you learned a little bit about the subaru baja today i'm over here at dave wright nissan subaru in cedar rapids iowa and if you're interested in knowing more about this or setting up an appointment to come and see it call me at two 1-800-332-0 two nine zero thanks
