hello everyone and welcome to Jones Act Survival tomorrow morning is deer hunting opener and we hadn't really no snow up here and now it is snowing like crazy possible three to five inches something usually like Sara it's 4:30 it's time to wake up okay everyone well we're just about to head out to our stands it's five minutes after 5:00 okay everyone well it's 5:30 right now about 5:30 - I'm out in my stand I grab Sara off shooting time is 6:24 well guys I just got a text from my dad and it says for corn so he must have just shot a buck I'm gonna run over there and give him a hand I owe the person standard and here it's shut up it's all I can see the little plastic oh yeah I can see a little bit there yeah that actually does look red oh yeah yeah yeah yeah that's a nice dear though the horns are okay guys well yeah I've got a nice deer there I saved the heart for me to eat and the liver for crepe machine alright guys like just drop this tear off we're going out for the afternoon hunt good luck okay guys well I didn't see anything in my stand tonight now I'm just gonna go back I'm not sure if Sarah will be we need to go ride or if she will have walked back her if she isn't too far from isn't too far from the tent anyways well I don't see Sarah yet but I don't see any footprints here where she would have walked back to the tent so I'm just gonna sit here and wait I don't see you dragging a deer Wow good spot then good spot you might as well stay there tomorrow okay guys well like you heard neither of us saw anything today my day I've got one deer I didn't hear the Wayne shot or anything so I don't think he did now though after the first day of deer hunting the tent is always a mess because you're going through all your clothes so now we're just going to take a few minutes to clean this place up and then relax and get ready for tomorrow okay so we got things halfway cleaned up in here so now Sarah is eating pecans that came up from Louisiana I've got sunflower seeds that I did this year the sunflower some plant and those are wild hazelnuts that I did last year she said she didn't realize there was such a treasure of food here I used the hand pump and pumped one shower or Sarah there and then I gave her the bucket and let her give it a try let's go see how she likes it what do you think yeah takes the ball 48 to 48 to fill that thing to the top so when you're done make sure the handle is looking all the way up this way the water runs down and it won't freeze [Music] ok everyone I don't know if you can see it but it's snowing out again it's been snowing most of the day off and on got the barbecue going for our pork steaks and we're going to put mesquite chips in there this time and as you saw we got big potatoes in the oven [Music] [Applause] Sara it's a quarter to time to wake up okay everyone we're heading out to the sand okay everyone got about a half hour til shooting back okay guys well it's time to call her a night can't really see the crosshairs unless you're in the snow I just had a dolt come on maybe a hundred feet away from me had the crosshairs right on her but I'm not ready to drop a doe yet but it was exciting all right everyone solved for tonight's tent supper we're gonna do a chuck roast on charcoal probably do a baked potato with that and of course some kind of a vegetable Sarah it's time to wake up and now your local forecast today breezy partly sunny scattered flurries high 16 to 21 northwest winds 15 to 25 miles per hour tonight mostly cloudy willows 0 to 5 above 0 & 1 another morning out on the stand Sarah she's out in the same clearing and there was a lot of tracks and we were coming in so hopefully we'll have some good luck what was that that wind had to be hitting you right in the face really yeah did you see anything man that is cold today yeah okay so we're back here from deer hunting this morning so we're gonna make up some Oh peanut butter cookies and try them in the new oven and give that a try and we're gonna make up some do your heart and sausage jambalaya for lunch and for supper we're gonna cook up some of the ducks that we shot earlier this year and have some rice and beans with that [Music] okay now that is some unique ins very good smelling jambalaya nap time for the young uns all right everyone we're getting ready to go out for the afternoon hunt here it's still pretty chilly but the wind has died down a little bit so hopefully like I said every time the deer will be moving around well there's Sarah coming back from her stand that's her headlamp right there it was cold tonight it was another I mean it but not as windy as it was this morning this morning was brutal and you guys saw I got to watch that dole it must have been out there for over an hour but it's just a little one and like I said before I'm not ready to take a dough yet anything exciting happen what was it yeah and then in between there's kind of like a row of trees or something yeah okay well I saw a deer like it was behind that rollit reason it bounded towards the side I saw it for like a second nothing oh dear yeah that's why you said it so late okay but no but then have 5c late there was um a deer that blew maybe five or six times behind me really and then like a minute later it blew one more time and it sounded closer so I was like you know you saw something I know I gotta show someone eating the dog okay everyone great stuff wrecker there's Thera flossing your teeth hopefully we'll get a deer tomorrow [Applause] there's Sarah walking out of her stand she's going home today did you see anything today nothing it's not like a good morning - it is cold where she goes guys the temps not gonna be the same the rest the time up here okay everyone well Sarah's gone she left yesterday as you guys saw but it is just about 5:30 now and I'm gonna head out to my stand well everybody I didn't see anything this morning she's really windy out though if I was a deer I'd be laying low still got more days to call okay guys so we're out for the afternoon hunt now my dad left you guys saw that so now it's super windy so I don't expect to see much but you never know that one might died hours before dark and now that nobody's here to help me maybe I'll shoot one I'll have to break it off myself well guys I don't think I've been here 20 minutes and I looked up and there was a buck blocking right along over there so I shot it with a new axis 30 out six that I got the savage one and it hit it and over by that pine tree behind there I seen it go down so I'll give it a few minutes here we'll go check it out even though I see them fall over it's always fun to track where they are and see the blood [Applause] okay guys well this one is already below the trees it's gonna go down soon so I gotta run back get the four-wheeler get over here and get this drug out before dark [Music] [Applause] [Applause] okay so it looks like after six years I need to put up a new deer Pole but what I did was put it on the stove you'll trip every bringing home the six wheeler this time to do some work on it over the winter and at least I got it up there spread out so I can drain so that'll be good it's gonna get plenty cold tonight to cool it down okay everyone while I was gonna leave tomorrow but I got a text from Zachary last night and at about 2:00 in the morning I got it this morning and he said that he looks like his work schedule is gonna allow him to come up next weekend because we have two weeks and three weekends of deer hunting here so anyway I thought well I better get home then because then I get home today which is Saturday and then have one day at home and then a few days at work and we're gonna be back up here so anyway it'll be nice to have him up here he hasn't been up here for since last year deer hunting opener so it's been like one year and two weeks so things have changed to be nice to see him again up here okay everyone well thanks a lot for watching this video on deer hunting opener I've been up here almost a week now and it'll be exciting to have a part two when Zach comes up maybe Sarah will come up again - it's hard to say
