hey what's going on guys and welcome to the video today's vehicle is a dirty 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee definitely hasn't been cleaned for quite a while so let's have a look around alright so the first thing that's apparent about this Jeep is that it clearly spends a lot of time on gravel roads as there's a ton of dust on the back end and all the door jams are full of dust - especially the tailgate but aside from that the Jeep was also the unfortunate victim of a couple of bird bombs and then the front end is absolutely covered in bug guts and it's going to take some time to get clean now moving to the inside and besides all the garbage around the vehicle there's quite a bit of dirt and debris everywhere you look along with some sort of crusty stain then he'll be feeding the Bissell and then we've also got a nice layer of dust all around the interior and of course a whole bunch of crushed up thumbs in the center console but just before we jump into the detail take a quick second and subscribe to the channel I post a new video like this every week so if you've got the bellow and you won't ever miss out on one all right well I am definitely excited to get started here as this is gonna be the first Jeep vehicle of any kind that I've ever detailed so as always sit back relax and enjoy the transformation [Music] alright so starting on the pre wash rinse here and like I just mentioned I've never had the pleasure of detailing any sort of Jeep before so it's always nice getting to see different types of vehicles and how different manufacturers design vehicles and if you're wondering why I'm washing inside today it's because it was super super windy out again I think the wind gusts were over 70 kilometres an hour so that also means that the reveal shots at the end of the video are going to look a little bit different today but hopefully you'll be back to normal next week [Music] [Music] all right moving to the back where most of the gravel dust has accumulated on the vehicle and unfortunately with a vehicle like this that drives on gravel roads a fair bit I know the crevices are going to be full of dust so it's important to hit them at different angles and keep spraying until the water comes out clear because if you don't you'll just end up seeing dusty drip marks later on [Music] now moving to the wheels on this cheap and I can see that the inside barrel of the rim is pretty full of caked on dust so I'll definitely need to take my time and get in nice and close with the wand to get it all sprayed out [Music] now moving to all the dead bugs on the windshield and the front bumper and Grille and luckily for me these were pre fresh and we're coming off fairly easy with the pressure washer but I'm sure it won't be long and I'll see you vehicle with really baked-on bug guts so for those I'll typically spray off what I can with the pressure washer and then I'll use a bug remover to help dissolve them a little bit before moving to the wash process [Music] [Applause] [Music] now to finish cleaning these dirty wheels and tires I'll use some wheel and tire cleaner and after letting it sit for a minute I'll hit the tires with a stiff bristled brush and then for the rim faced barrels and lug nuts I'll use a variety of soft brushes to get any remaining dirt or brake dust removed [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right with the Jeep washed and dried now I'll turn my attention to the rubber floor mats which took the brunt of the dirt and I'll start by spraying them off with the pressure washer then I'll spray on some APC diluted four to one and hit them with the drill brush and to answer a question I know some of you were gonna have no this isn't the same one that I use for the interior it's the bigger five-inch brush which is nice to have so I don't have to use the same one and if any of you are curious where you can get these drill brushes I've got the link to them in the description for you they come in a set of four and you can get them in varying stiffnesses and they can be used for all sorts of different applications [Music] all right moving to the interior now and I'm starting by removing all of the customers personal items and garbage they left in here and if you've seen some of my older videos you'd know I found some pretty strange and funny things and vehicles before and this one was no different as the bottom of the center console was covered in tums you guys saw the powder left over in the opening shots but there was basically half a bottle of loose ones that I had to clean up first [Music] [Music] now as I work my way around the vehicle I'll typically work back to front and getting to these dirty seats it's really important to stretch up the seams as much as possible to get at the dirt and debris that's trapped in them but some of it is pretty grimy and stuck in there so I'll worry about getting it out later when I focus on the leather [Music] [Music] [Music] now not having seen a jeep vehicle before I wasn't sure what to expect for the quality of carpet but I can say that it's definitely a small step above the cheap velcro-like stuff the Chevy Cruze had in the last video and fortunately I was able to get all the dirt out with a vacuum although it did take a little bit of effort [Music] [Music] alright so starting on the carpets and I figured I would start with this gross purple stain and because it was right up against the seat rail I had to unbolt the seat and move it out of the way quick but I also needed to grab the stiffer yellow drill brush as whatever this was was really stuck in the carpet fibers and then with it all loosened up and removed it's just a matter of sucking it up with a Bissell [Music] [Music] [Music] all right so despite these Floor Mats not being super dirty because the rubber ones on top protected them there were still a few spots that did need extracting so rather than completely soaking them with a pressure washer for no good reason I'm opting to use the Bissell this time and for those of you out there who might be wondering what my process is when I'm extracting it's very simple and then I basically make passes spraying down water until I can see the water coming through clear and then I switched to just extracting to get things dry although for any stubborn stains or heavily soiled areas I'll add more solution and repeat the whole process but otherwise I just extract until the carpet is actually clean however long that may take [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] here's all the dirty water sucked out of this Jeep gross now with the center console being a bit too far gone for just an APC wipe down I'm using the steamer APC and a detail brush to do the job and for those of you who might be new to the channel and are wondering which steamer I'm using it's a McCulloch MC 1375 and it will basically make super quick work of any kind of crud or grime so if any of you are in the market for one the link to the McCulloch steamer that I use is in the description for you along with nearly every other product and tool that I use so feel free to check it out if you're interested [Music] turning back to the dirty leather and getting some leather cleaner sprayed on I'll then use my soft horsehair brush to agitate and really get into all the seams especially on the seat bottoms where they're full of crud and then I'll simply wipe them down with a microfiber towel and once I've gone around the entire vehicle I'll apply a leather conditioner to keep them looking soft and supple [Music] [Music] [Music] now moving to all the interior trim and using a microfiber applicator pad I'll apply some 303 aerospace protectant to dress and UV protect all the plastics in here and if it looks shiny when it's applied that's because it's wet and there's light reflecting off of it but when it dries the sheen goes away and it leaves a nice matte finish behind that looks incredible [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right the last step before this detail is done is to dress the tires and for that I'm using car pearl pearl diluted roughly two to one and what's nice about pearl is that it's water-based and it won't sling all over the paint but it can also be diluted to your liking for more or less shine [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] alright guys and nine hours later I'm done with the Jeep and it's looking super sweet again definitely have to say that was nice getting to do a little bit of a cleaner vehicle after the last couple I've done felt like a break anyways but if you guys enjoyed the video make sure you smash that thumbs up button and subscribe to the channel if you haven't yet enjoy the guitar otro and I'll see you guys in the next one [Music]
