okay hey guys welcome back to my channel if you're new here i am consumer debt free currently working on my family loan and trying to save as much money as i can besides these three main focuses i am also paying double on my nail net loan which is a federal school loan um that has like 26 000 left so it's not like my priority right now but it is something i am still paying double on okay so i'm a little nervous to film this video just because this is my um 2021 financial notebook or you could say planner slash notebook um this is the erin condren monthly planner and believe me guys i took a lot of time searching for planners and i always went back to this one um just because there's not a lot of planners out there that just have the months because one thing i had in my mind for the new um year was i wanted to combine my radon with my notebook so this is a regular schmeichel a notebook that's lined and this is a monthly planner and i really wanted a system for 2021 um that combined both of them and that way i don't have two things i have just one um system um so golden coil you can do it with golden coil the thing is though it's undated and it's like so expensive like so expensive like i think i put it i had in my car and it was like 75 dollars the way i wanted it which was um monthly and then notes pages and it was like 75 dollars guys and i just i just couldn't and then i never had a golden coil before so it was just like did i really want to spend that much money on a planner um that i never even i don't even know if i'm gonna like and if i pay 75 dollars and i don't like it that's gonna be such a bummer um and i love erin condren um which other one i looked at plum paper but i don't really like the aesthetics of it you can say um there's like the purple one and then it's like not neutral um and then i looked at other planners i was really trying to look for one that didn't have coil just because it bothers when you write um so that's gonna be something i have to deal with this year um and then you know what i just came back to this one because it's cute it's simple it has exactly what i want and it was um definitely less expensive than the other planners so for now i'm going to this is gonna be my not for now this is my 2021 finance planner you can say so i put finances in vmm the pattern is white and the background i believe is harbor and it just has a silver coil so it doesn't have anything it was no extra expense added on that um i think the design pattern is called mid centuries i'm not really sure um okay so this video is going to be setting up the back of my planner um just i want to do it little by little i don't want to rush and then i don't want to feel rushed if that makes sense like i don't want to wait till the end of december because the days are passing by so fast guys that it's like really catching up we're already in like almost the middle of december so i did add i believe 40 pages to the back of the notebook um so this is where my one year goals are gonna be so it's the first thing i look at when i open oh my god what happened here um when i look so i'm gonna put in i'm so nervous to write on this guys i did do a draft so hopefully i don't make any mistakes i feel like sharpie will not help in this situation or with it let me see so i haven't tried out sharpie and i haven't seen like the reviews if sharpie goes through erin condren paper i just don't want to mess this up let me see do i want to use black it's just so nerve-wracking when you do something new oh you see i'm already dropping my pens all right this is the inky pen so i would have to wait before i turn the page one one that's cute um let me see i don't know if if i even want to write script i'd want to do 20 21 goals i don't even know what i want to do guys all right let me see i'm gonna oracle pull one year goals or i was practicing this yesterday and i thought i knew what i was gonna do i think i'm gonna write print oh my gosh i wanna write it in blue this blue match is more black oh my god i don't know i i'm not gonna do blue yeah and that's yes i'm gonna do black and then maybe i might spice it up with like some color with highlighters i don't know okay let's see i want to put one-year goal one-year goals or 2021 goals 2021 financial goals right financial financial 2021 financial goals do i want to do that financial okay so put on top i'm gonna do 20 21 20 21 put five and then sorry that i'm running sideways guys it's just oh my god that looks so ugly it's okay it's okay because it is what it is like i'm still not confident in my um what's it called in my lettering in terms of like my calligraphy so i don't want to like even attempt to do that because i haven't even got to i mean i'm already only in the beginning of capitals but i haven't like practiced to like write the capitals all together oh my goodness so i'm just gonna stick with what i know and i'm all about not purchasing stickers for my planner if that makes sense i never use some stickers really in my other planner which is my notebook you could say except for like the monthly um but like in terms of like stickers i just i kind of want to continue the theme of not buying stickers just so that anyone who watches this is like you don't need to purchase that much to start your financial journey um so yeah so 2021 financial goals we have number one number one is to save to save ten thousand to twelve thousand okay um and this is for my home down payment so in order for me to do that i need to save between 800 to 1000 per month and i'll get into more details on how i'm doing that just because like to give you a quick scenario or scenario a little summary um i don't pay for my metro card anymore because i'm working from home so i suspended that so that saves me a hundred and like thirty um that i could that i put towards my savings and i'm not paying for the gym right now it's on a freeze that i don't need to pay the freeze amount because of the pandemic so that's another 75 that i'm putting towards my savings so right now that's how i'm able to reach a hundred to a thousand um so yeah and then let's see let's see i should write home down payment down payment one word or two it's two words so i'm gonna put home down payment okay so hopefully you guys can see that um then i have my second goal so i'm gonna skip a line and put goal number two i could have skipped a couple it's okay then i have um i'm gonna save um 2500 for my home essentials so home eat high school essentials before i fudge it up here eastern chose so this means like the key furniture pieces like the bed frame the mattress a couch maybe a tv and then also kitchen appliances um don't worry guys this is just my 2021 financial goals um and then 2022 i plan to save another 2 500 if more if possible um but this is just like this year specifically this year's goals um because this planner is from january to december so it's a full year so this will hopefully by the end of 2021 i can come back to this and be like i accomplished this um okay goal number oh wait no for me in order to do this i have to do i have to um have save 160 per month and the reason for that is because by the end of december 2020 i'll have 600 in my home essential sinking fund so 250 250 minus 600 that's what i need to save in 2021 so i divide that by 12 and it's 158.33 so i put it to 160. um then goal number three is to save 1000 emergency fund um and right now i don't have a plan for me to accomplish this i have i think 300 an emergency fund hold on let me check right now i have my emergency fund in cash because i don't trust myself to put it in the bank like i do with my home essentials so right now in emergency fund i have 200 so i have to see what's my plan for this i just have to see how the month goes for how january's gonna go um in terms of like breaking down my check so i'm just gonna leave it blank for now and then that's so i would skip a space and do number four here number four is to pay family loan in full um and so in order to accomplish this i have to save or pay 270 per month um right now i only owe to my family loan i think hold on let me check my instagram because that's what it tells me um [Music] how much like actively right now i have left so it says on my post three five eight zero but i paid 360 this month so um i have 320 left to pay so that's divided by 12 so 268 so i have to pay 270 up per month in order to um finish paying it off by the end of 2021 then my last goal goal number five is to pay six thousand towards my now school loan so basically what that means if i i have to do 500 per month and then with that and then hopefully i apply for student loan forgiveness you know that can like really bring me down um but i put this as my last goal because i'm still gonna have it i know it at the end of 2021 like the loan is so massive that there's no way i'm paying that off in one year so at least five six thousand towards my school loan um okay so those are my five main goals i kind of want to put some highlighters on this but i'm just going to let it sit for a while i don't want to rush anything so that's my first page on my notes to remind me every time i turn to the section this is my priority these are the five goals i want to achieve um okay so then we're gonna do um my saving freedom map which is ten to twelve thousand so i kind of wanna do it on this side should i do it on this side or should i just leave it blank just in case i have other things i want to accomplish i'm going to just leave it blank here so i'm going to start it on here we're going to do my saving freedom map right is that what i call it it's basically i did it in my old one so i'm always using this as a reference let's see let's see let's see right here i know these are for credit cards where's my one that i created for financial savings i call it financial savings map so i'm gonna write that down so on the top it's gonna be called my fi nan show sorry if you hear the scratching it's my puppy financial savings map and my my dog is not a puppy i just call him puppy um he's like five years old but he's such a cute little puppy like he looks like a puppy to be honest um okay so this is my financial savings map since it follows my first goal as you can see from what i just wrote over here my first goal is this one so the way i'm doing this is i'm gonna create basically a freedom or a map or every time i save per month i'll highlight it you know um so let's start off here we're gonna do i go by two hundreds two hundred two four six eight ten okay so two four six eight ten so this column is a total of one thousand um and that's what i'm gonna keep doing until i reach ten thousand or twelve thousand two three four five six seven eight nine ten oh i should do twelve thousand just in case so i'm gonna fast forward this part um i might delete it or like cut out some if it's too long but yes i'm gonna be quiet and just do my map okay so one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve and that way two like if i reach my twelve thousand then i still have room to save more within the year so it's not like that's the end you know okay so this is my financial savings map and just to show you again i have it in here and i just realized i haven't highlighted what i have so let's do that now just to show you i just love seeing my journey so right now supposedly at 9 000 site i'm at 9 500 so i'm just going to do 400 so 1 2 400 and by the end of this year i'll have ten thousand save that i saved in twenty twenty um okay so this is my financial freedom map i'm just gonna leave it know it looks plain guys i just wanna leave it like this until i feel i don't want to rush the like highlighting and the decorating part of this so let's just leave it like that um then we have my financial savings map i'm gonna put my um home essential home essentials smart home essentials savings map should i write down home essentials savings maps i'm gonna put home essential i don't want to misspell that the sun shows saving map um i should have like centered it it's okay all right so for this one it's gonna be a little bit different just because there's a range i save per month with my savings map with home essentials i'm fixed i'm um i'm fixed on a amount i'm putting every month so for january let me start with january um the goal is 160. then we have an arrow and i put february um we're gonna do another 160 then we're gonna do an arrow and do march oh okay whatever 160 then we're gonna do an arrow this way and put april and that's another one 60 and then we do [Music] um [Music] and that should give me 2 500. remember i already have 600 in the bank but this is just a cute little map to like highlight every time i reach my monthly goal um now if i save more i think i could put it on the bottom like plus this amount plus this amount and then i'll write my total of how much i saved down here um again i didn't mention this before but these maps i got from asia dang she's the one who created freedom maps when she had like school loans so i just kind of like finagled it so it's a savings map you can say because i am done with my credit cards that i use the freedom maps for um so just like credit to her she's the one who inspired me to do my maps um okay now that was the second goal now we have my third goal of emergency fund that's i'm not gonna do or should i do it um i guess i can do it let's do it i didn't plan on doing it but let's just do it i'm gonna put in my gen c fund and the goal is a thousand so we're gonna do 100 oh i should do well i already have 200 so let's just do 100 then i'm going to do i think i should do like by 20s maybe 20 40. sixty eighty a hundred i don't like this there's too many twenties so you know what fudge it we're gonna do a hundreds or should i do 50s let's do 50. we got another 50 here then a 50 here that's one two three four [Music] five it's like halfway guys let's do um six one two three four five oh one two three four five six i'm sorry i'm turning like my notebook it's just i write better when my notebooks turn usually i don't turn it on camera just because you know for you guys but since this is my first time writing in this i kind of don't want to like feel uncomfortable i never feel uncomfortable but i want to write in the best way i can which is my notebook to the side so one two three four five six seven eight nine and then this is ten so that's a thousand and then once i reach a thousand i'll write the date and then continue on okay so that was like something i didn't plan on doing um so let's continue with my family loan freedom map so now we're going into like my loans um so i'm gonna put family loan freedom map um okay so with this one i'm kind of gonna do it like my home essentials with the months because i have a fixed amount that i want to save every month or like put towards this loan um so let's start off with january hopefully this doesn't seem boring to you guys but you got a lot of you mentioned you want to see like how i'm going to set up this planner so we're doing 270 a month february now this is where it's going to be a little tricky because july i will i think i get extra money from my department of education um just because they owe us from back pay so i kind of want to leave more space with this one so i'm to bring it down here just in case i pay more towards it um july and i'm going to leave it to there because if i pay more on it than my monthly payments for august september october november december could go down so let's just leave it like that um until we get to july and see how much extra i get paid like what if it's a couple hundred dollars you know that will bring down my monthly payments um and then i would have to like you know white out and i don't want to do that so let's just leave it like that all right so now i kind of wanted to do a no net freedom map but thinking about it let's just not yeah no i'll just leave it like that i'm gonna do because my priority right now is my family loan so we're just gonna leave it like that um this video is already long hopefully with when i fast forward it like shortens um um okay guys so hopefully you enjoyed the back of my setup which is again my five main financial goals for 2021 my financial savings map that i created um my home essential savings map emergency fund i should put map map and then my family loan freedom map and again i left it until july because i think i'm getting an extra payment or extra income in july from the doe so that way if i do put anything i think my monthly payments will go down so i just want to hold off on that so yeah guys hopefully you enjoyed this video this is just like the first part of setting up my um planner this is bothering me so i might have to take that off and these stickers i have to take out but yeah guys hopefully you guys enjoyed this video please comment like and subscribe and i will see you in my next video bye
