[Music] my name is jet and for the education application support team and Caribbean Bucknam headquarter which is where the factory is our department is in charge of that while we do all the support stuff events like this we do beetle testing alpha testing we do a lot of things are surrounding the technical side and for me as an expert on engineer and it's quite good because I can play with always new toys I always say well there's a couple of dog sites - there - and you won't have new lot speakers all the time all the pins are still very tight so it's never easy but first of all before we start I'd like to encourage you to ask a question as soon as you Evan but wait interrupt me as you like I'm happy for you to interrupt me and just sort of interest is everybody here understand English ok please if you feel I talk too fast or something please slow me down say so and so today's option apart from of course they're congratulating consequence to their 30 years which i think is tomorrow is it or is it today after tomorrow yeah I'm here to introduce to you the SL series from dear me some people might know it already others might not we call it a family I've decided not to play the song malika's I don't actually like that much but it is a family of speakers in it deserve and as large speakers in it smaller speakers and everything you need to do it what does it come from the tool that's behind it materials appeared they always said it almost all this nuts which is a it's a British saying it makes me crazy and it started off really with the market requirement and expectations so when the likes of myself for it the concept of guys were all of us when we go out there customers tend to talk to us they say well we want to maybe we want this or this could be better but it could be different and it's always interesting to make sure you will take note of these things and you improve the next series that comes so what do people in the market say to us they needed a box that does more SPL well that's it's like ours but the faster faster and I want to follow Ellen Headroom of course people always want more base you know I call it the earth unhealthy relationship with channel one but then some people might also ask for all of this our daily very light and small so it fits in a small car to literally I mean I mean past 50 if I don't wanna lift a hundred kilo speaker anymore most days are over sometimes I still have to but we think it's important that a loud speaker reserve accurate dispersive control and over the entire frequency band we're gonna look into that all that's achieve that L SL series and Shores have changed we do different events now shows a state here are played in 360 degrees which means you you're closer to the stores closer to the balconies so you need to achieve bigger up angles because player goes to to get to the audience so we have to look at reading options and logistics and handling packet also early on talking to some people we've decided to come up with a whole cable series to run this system and for various reasons not only because we think they should probably the same but it's it's often the case that systems on the home may be too arena shows and then every once in a while on a stadium show you me to read some stuff in from somewhere else and it's good to know that it's all the same and compatible so that we usually at the DIA bits the sort of stuff that comes up when we sit at the fireplace and drink beer or do things so let's have a look at what they suppose could be d NB has a very long history in making Katowice prefers passive ones which is something we do in a painted and one of those and there's a great amount of experience in creating card wheat pattern control and that was supposed to be part of it we want to be low frequency output of large drivers but maybe we didn't want large drugs so that's an interesting one we can discuss that later we will as I said earlier salsa trading so it's sometimes happens that you don't have enough space in there anybody who's ever ripped a J Series in the earth counter pillar method knows it takes quite a lot of space to do it and we wanted to reduce that space we came up with their dear Bo right side which is first laser the nuclear emitter there's a temperature sensor and humidity sensor in it and it's networkable so to be you are a very low many thoughts of my father an interesting thing is water repellent fiber fabric so not so big of a deal or nerve on a subwoofer bottom in the past colleagues in tropical areas have noticed that the phone we are using to stop water from getting into the cabinet sometimes disintegrates because of the humidity the biggest problem with with that sort of stuff is is that you you can have you would have to make a decision if you wanted to have a waterproof speaker or a good-sounding one you can't have both doesn't think doesn't work like that so it was important for us to create a fabric and that is acoustically transparent but water repellent high frequency goes through and per minute it's incredible so what is a ksl so anybody who speaks a little bit of German will learn all the GSL means also geologic meta means large special speaker and K means client detail of it means small special of speakers and the link and the SL series as no it's no mistake to figure out that we that our factor is very close to Mercedes and they have an SQL series so we have to have one too so anyway however the ksl is also a highly flexible standalone system and it operates it will work in the J series of location arranged with a little improvement it does a 10 degrees play angle as opposed to seven so there's the first improvement easy to see and it also of course works as a fill-in a delay system to the GSL the large system it needs to have a decode of wall Heather woman we've got to talk about that a little bit in the moment when we talk about the different drivers from what they do but one thing was a must and have to have full broadband directivity so let's have a look how that works out and wait 60 kilos it weighs exactly the same as a Jane so no difference there it requires that the 18 amplification platform and only the DAT nothing else will do I'm afraid and it's a complete package and it's exactly the same package as you know from the GSL series it's just smaller so just imagine you take everything put it in the washing machine wash it too hot and it comes out a little bit small it's exactly what it is so let's have a quick look at our line array history so before 2005 the queue series came out and is one thing that repeatedly happens with nucleuses do you think makes a loud speaker people use it well beyond its specification so they do much bigger shows with our stuff than we ever anticipated from doing so you can see we have something for more or less every application service from very small to now very large with the DSL and the ksl sits in that range there so it's exactly j-series territory and for us to do a product that can do that it had to be fundamentally different and better than attorney so let's have a look now if any of you guys all buy themselves a ticket for a rock concert or pop concert Madonna ac/dc and you stand there you think it's great you think it's odd you think this can't possibly be loud enough possibly have enough bass right there if you mic run on and you live here you think it's noise and it's really really annoying and you don't want to hear it and you know idea is now make both of them happy in an ideal world so and for this to become real you have to have full brother full backwards directivity that was an outdoor example here we have an indoor example not imagine you sit there right there it's sort of red it's a football stadium in Germany now in the high frequencies you will hear this lighter red and a lot of frequencies you hear all of them why yes they are all and the low frequencies they're the same volume behind them and they are all of us you can get the 27 and times with the in this case just eight times so it's always better to have the eight times the key drum that you want no that's obviously not the case what happens is this the arrival time is different most people know hopefully here that an assault is quite slow actually from cantaloupe you mister hundred and forty meters per second so you don't hear all the bass drums at once you hear them one after the other and that causes what we would call interference comb filtering all sorts of nasty effects and their relative missions mess up the sound so you don't actually get a good idea of a tight sound besides all of this if you actually write under it and in the middle a so much based on stages unbearable it's very not pleasant so oh how can we do this and how can we identify what actual problem is in order to make a new speaker you need to identify the problem first otherwise it's no point making it huh so here we look at the j8 isobar does everybody here know how a nice the bar works it's quite simple so you have here a zero and that's the zero or axis this is the on axis so if I was allowed to beaker the laser pointer is now on axis supporting there for then you can have 180 degrees this way and hundred and eighty degrees this way horizontal and if you measure the volume of each frequency at those axis you can get this isobar plugin it certainly shows this is why it's called a J paid the minus 60 B point of a J aid is exactly at 40 degrees so it goes 40 degrees to the left and 40 degrees to work that makes it actually a however as soon as you go to the lower frequency so somewhere at 200 it starts to open up and at 80 Hertz its 360 degrees the same volume all around now and this area here was identified as the area of trouble this is what people call up and say that concept over there is to loved that's the frequency range to talk about is tune of octaves at the lower scale nobody ever gives 8,000 Hertz in 5 kilometers distance this is what they hear and that's what's annoying them and that's also what's Macedonia solving you in there redraw that space when you have a lot of reverb when you come into a what they call a boomy room you know you close the flight [Music] that's a problem this area so let's have a quick look at how we gotta adjust that and why and how we gonna do it in order to control low frequencies you have very few options one of the options is is that the enclosure that's producing that low frequency needs to be larger than the wavelengths it produces but as one of those classical things so our subwoofer that creates hundred Hertz and I want to be in control of those hundred notes that means all to have directivity would have to be three point four meters bacon that's not so good it doesn't fit on the truck and it doesn't go through the door quite unhelpful so let's have a quick look what we do with the dr7 while we're doing it so we first of all we start geocell laser 3hf drivers in it with a three point for each voice coil the carousel is two in them we discuss that in greater detail the mid frequencies are 10-inch only ksl GSL and 8-inch of the castle and front firing low frequency drivers is fourteen inch and ten inch but then we have some extra ones we have the low frequencies on the side and I want to show you how they work like that so this is how an SL box looks and they cut you and why did we do it like that that's all a quick look so if you actually look at the distance between two loads because I'd now discuss all three is a prime example for this you will hear that they tell me also if you take to lot speakers to subwoofers and you spaced up a quarter of a wavelength apart and you delay one you could have a following effect you can have if you look at the microphone on the right so the rate of firing speaker leaves this loudspeaker cabinet first and that'll be a second one hands to it because the sine wave beats the other side wave right at the perfect moment and as they do they create more SPL to the front if I now move my microphone behind this loud speaker cabinet do something for for example where it's exactly like that what happens is is the Ray firing leaves first the front firing leaves later and arrives exactly at the same moment when it reaches hundred and eighty degrees phase shift or full cancellation easier said than done right so we have to the front addition more volume to the rear Leslie it's a perfect because that's what we want because we remember we cannot make a three point four meter big subwoofer you have to make it smaller so how does that technically work on the KS l1 an SL and we have to remember what we just saw there droid was one frequency only could have been on 80 Hertz or whatever and we are talking about two and a half of those so we want to do this a little bit better than just one top okay so anybody who's ever used a J serious but not will that the ports of the J series saw the base reflects holes on that side have no wolf to the insert there's a good reason for in our bass reflex system what happens is is their lower frequencies off the bed width very low frequencies they only come out of the ports this one in this one and the higher frequencies of them better powers come from the column from the itself so when I look at it nacelle serious so the real fire-eater comes up to the front I have an addition and to the rear I have attenuation so that's the higher frequencies that's a higher octave and a locked-off since it's only coming out of the ports that's why the ports now have moved to the inside so we can increase the distance to the where the railroad supports and the same thing happens and you can see that the Kirov they take is also a little bit bigger the interesting thing is sister longer the wavelength the larger the curve it is the wave takes submit comparative it like a higher frequencies driving a car on the corner and lower frequencies is a bit like driving a truck run same corner now to take a little bit of a bigger turn when you work this all together you can get to this point so here we go back to our JP remember we identified this area has peaked the troublemaker and with the college system in the nacelle series we've now created this one so we can clearly see that their low frequencies here open up only at about 18 Hertz to about 80 degrees 160 degrees so they match up with discipline for CSL so for us that's why it's done like that but you can see there is a lot of level loss here in the low frequencies and I'm pretty sure you will hear that later too when you're not there okay so that's the GSL eight on that's a ksl eight and that's a bit different palettes are small enclosures that's why I look slightly different interesting it gets when you look at a fixed frequency look at 50 Hertz this is one of our nice car simulations is anyone here someone in Moscow okay so you can see a single cabinet from the top and we've created a the same reference point was the same SPL 1530 point to and over the point to come from it's there and you can see that a jato radiates quite a lot of audio at 50 Hertz to the rear of the cabinet and the dsl doesn't that's the whole point so make sense so far so the whole point of this is of course why and doesn't low frequency directivity cause head room so we all know the classical csa state that we used to do will accuse him two or three subwoofers facing forward and one firing backwards to create some cancellation the one that's firing backwards was not necessarily heading to the SPL was actually just helping with the rejection so how does that work in our SL series it works out slightly different and here's a coherence not if you know bringing a coherence block works in a way that it detects the addition and subtraction based on time arrival and you can see here that the coherence in the lower frequencies was at me Oh No so this is the lower frequency range the there is no dip in there which indicates that the side firing speaker completely adds full to the front side speaker so an adds full and reduces fall at the back so it's quite a tricky thing to do so a quick look at the benefits we get from that so as you can imagine I like to use the example of a lambda if you take a park and all right let's just take a normal park and put it up there and switch it on everybody here would be bright brightly lit and if you take a profile level and instead you could have maybe two three people lit up and the rest is still dark and that's eventually where we want to get to insult and so if I have no sound coming out the back of the speaker it cannot hit the wall behind the stage if it doesn't hit the wall behind the stage it cannot create river so it's reducing the boom and then you makes new friends in unit monitor world it's a quieter stage well you can argue with this we've heard stories of people saying it's not loud enough one stage no I go you know what for the last 30 years we've front of all those people had to suffer you complain about too low and now we'll just get yourself some bigger side folks some to go but at the end of the day of course a quieter stage is easier to to play if you're a musician you know it's easier you can easier here it's better so you don't have low frequency masking and yeah all you got a guitar player to slow down but not sinful so they have a wider usable coverage so that lots we just saw the I saw one once we call the Bison box the isobar plots that line I was throwing you for 40 degree line on the J that's the - 60 P point and it's chosen that - 60 B point is a is a coverage definition is chosen because that's where the salt brought back to 60 be quieter than one axis and that's typically in the industry the defining number when you say okay the - 60 B point that's what the box does and now we don't have low frequencies coming off the side anymore from the cabinet that masks up the high frequencies we actually have brought back - 90 reports if you like so we'll show you that later these are horace SEO horizontal arraign now when you hang a loudspeaker that you hang another one next to it and you need to have even coverage it becomes evident that a lot speaker like an SL series of has a wider usable coverage area you might want a 270 system you might be able to do it with just two ends as opposed to three maybe let's see and of course you have much less of access and obviously mission you know that grandma that lives over there she might be just a bit happier when you have not so much Slayer coming out of that side there's actually a really funny story from anybody here heard of the Reading Festival the Reading Festival of Britain is quite famous and it's North and South Park but it takes place more or less in the cities which is stupid but anyway it's it's in the city center and now right at the gate where all the trucks come into the stages of right at the gate is an old house one of years old the world lady used to live in I don't know she still lives there but then she would always complain about the music and they would always go happy buy you a spa holiday whatever go away for the three days then you'll be fine and she just said I don't want to go to stay here so they so they had to come up with all sorts of designs this is ten years ago longer than that and so the council guy in the conical mrs. eNOS if in their own living room drink a cup of tea and I said well we've changed a song designed everything's going to be great it's going to be amazing you have no problems and almost never great thanks to a cup of tea so already cup of tea and then slipped on come on the stage of them and that was the end of it that they said it so basically they're just what they often said okay we'll see you in court and we try to actually stop them so another one of the SL series one of the month and other big point was why do we actually need more headroom and where do we need to and our people say I need more SPL really and why so and anybody here heard about the right processing or a technology if you're aware of it the right processing has a as a few advantages to it as it as far as distribution of level is concerned so what you see here is you can see a direct sound versus distance so here's a distance but and you can see the 8 kilohertz is losing SPL quite a rapidly compared to the hundred twenty-five words you're aware of liner a technology you understand why that is and in a write process that we would like to be it like that because what we actually want us is we don't want the relationship between the high frequencies and the low frequencies to be different and I'm not talking necessarily volley all the energies talking about how it solves the table balance as it's commonly known now I know right processing we can actually go pretty straight forward and we can take low frequencies in a Redistributor redistribute means if I have too much in the front I can put it somewhere where I don't have enough although we do this it's very simple very straightforward we do that with frequency dependent delay commonly known as F IR filters I guess in the hot frequency that must work because at the high frequencies on the line array the effective length or the amount of a loudspeaker you hear even at great distance is very small it can be you 3040 meters away and you're only here two boxes out of 60 so between the two between the two boxes I could shift some energy from one to the other that's pretty pointless so what we need to do in the high frequencies we need to have more horsepower it just needs to be tilted to more so how was that done well dear we have decided that the next cabinet the large scale or the GSL is a seven degree box it should have the same display angle capability as a J series and therefore the height of the cabinet was limited that's how much we could do and then in order to increase the SPL in the high frequencies you can do two things you can use a louder SPL older driver that's if you find one we couldn't well you use more drivers free in this case so that's why it has a three times three point four inch tire from a chive section now if you use three then of course the physical height of this array is big and we have to be smaller and we were so a little bit of a development started so people looked at what the angle what angles we can do then so much mustard Swaney and for this is how we gonna do it and here are some of the attempts so here you can see the original voice code that I wanted to be one hundred and twenty four millimeter voice : not too big the diameter of this driver is too big so they started to cut something off you can see on the right hand side top and bottom when you cut it off it doesn't it doesn't work really balanced anymore and it starts to deform a little bit in a minute and after we ended up with 140 millimeters which was exactly that I needed and by doing that we had to basically go back to driver designer put the magnet of the HF section on the inside of the voice coil typically on an HF section on an HF driver the outside is the magnet and the voice coil is on the inside and now on the ESL carousel it's the other way around and that meant that we could increase the length of the voice coil by up to 3.4 he just even though the driver is actually smaller than it was before okay now here you can see on the left hand side you can see the displacement so on the top you can see a driver that's displaced and that's the one on to cut corners so you can see it's not actually fully radiating evenly so other blue bits everybody every movement it does the blue bits don't do anything and then the bottom you see one that is doing a lot better than none much more even so you get a bit more SPL oh another slight advantage of designing you're holding HF driver is you don't need a face like many more you can bolt it straight to the wave guide which you can see here and that makes the wave ride nice and short a lot shorter which also to point it out and it if it's the shelter is that is the HF horn and in chapter section home LS LS distortion you are getting out of the system distortion and I are in an HF driver is actually typically a vibration from now from the Horn material so that's why we're really good horns are typically quite heavier making cumbersome and and that leads us to the next one which is the mid section so in the midsection a newborn was designed and that's actually a lion wasn't a new hog for us it wasn't its the idea the original whole idea midsection alone that we applaud and the VC of his first movie point that's why it was tested and here you can see the bracing of the horn on the inside and the idea here is is that this one as it's a tips product what 10 inch motor attached to the back and it goes left to right next to the waveguide it allows us to have a smoother transition between a high frequency and a mid frequency it also creates a type hole for horizontal directivity so the distance is of course carefully chosen and we use a new driver that has an integrated back volume so the space of them on the back of the driver is fixed and it's included into the driver design that way this whole assembly can live inside the cabinet without actually taking away any volume of the low frequencies so what does it all do in SPL global as a j8 on our first movement so we take a sine wave and we better 170 milliseconds little quite a nasty little songs and we see when the limiter kicks in and that's where it stops so you can see each of these step is one of those frequencies and they are to determine how loud a system goes and you can see that they're TSL is across the board a lot louder than a j-series okay and you can see especially here the low frequencies hundred Hertz at below it does quite incredibly more those are the values if you interpolated and calculated our tour so we managed for the extra length a shorter wave guide the larger voice coil and a third driver we managed to get 4 dB at the end of section that is exactly where we wanted it to be these two are bonus they were not necessarily needed but having his peddler having 16 cents and having is better than leaving and the low frequency of course 90 be that Muslim ban in up top of 45 Hertz that was quite an incredible achievement by the guy so user TSLA here's a carousel egg in comparison so you can see it's pretty broad band 3 to 4 DB as a target less which is which it does but compared to a J you can see it behaves very accurately like a.j apart from the low frequencies where it has substantial amount more funny enough yeah that's that that's the point where I would like to ask you to then mystify some some mates which are existing in our industry something like like sorry sort of already but it's what the mates we says is that size matter logic is that true that size matter it doesn't know how we are approaching the fairway not safe areas may be going that with the discussion but in fact sometimes the people says are the H H inch system is not enough for open production Oh the ten inch system is good for some days but not for the big rock and roll in arena and then I think we need to we need to point very clearly to things and the one thing is that there is a coupling effect if you go to the line of a territory the more sources you you coupled together the more low meat energy you are getting therefore all the amount of actions they are providing some special kind of filter switch which brings those too much energy that this level little bit down if you cut in the filters and another thing is that the low frequencies is more dependent because of the volume of the cabinet and not the transducer itself Volume II means the size of the degeneration zone so sometimes I'm asking the people have you ever seen the subwoofer which is on the size 20 seen every centimeter by a centimeter by 40 centimeters no because because to get the low and you need to do internal volume you need you need to be needed big sized with the space inside the cabinet zone so please let us know how we come it works really what is important to get this low and from the from the system well there's a couple of things Chris first of all that you can you can deploy various methods different methods so on unpassed design space reflects thoughts and all of those talk talk well but you also have to always remember that the people who make drivers the RCAF sphere whatever they called jamie hills and the likes who'll make loudspeakers they don't they have not been sitting there for the last 20 years to win nothing so they have been designing because and we we use some of a some high-tech ignores it starts with the material of the voice coils so you have material that is less recipient to impedance change as it heats up so you don't get a power compression as early as you previously would have so nowadays a 10-inch driver for example out of the B Series can easily off perform 12-inch drivers all of the older systems easily well that you'll hear it in a bit when you hear some you can ndx cursed Nessus a lot to do with that and a large driver is not necessarily always the better choice because what happens on a large driver is is when you get to the wavelengths that is shorter then it's its diameter it will start to become narrow more narrow the frog so he did 15 inch speaker has about 900 watts so anything above nine hundred Hertz will become directive and very uncontrolled so if you rather 2 kilohertz tone out of a 15 inch driver you will probably hear it only in about one or two degrees and and then you can't unload it and their period becomes really difficult to operate so cone aerator is a different story if we have more cone area we can create a low frequency well that common area could be as you described earlier it could be twenty ten inch drivers as opposed to ten twelve inch [Music] we have a couple of things coming up as well when it comes to subwoofers here and I explained a few more things about that but for example before the moment let's just have a quick look at the amplification so if you want to amplify an a-line or a system that has a rate processing you have to individually amplify each lot bigger so that means it's quite a lot of cable or gistic sometimes if you have a four-way active cabinet you would have to use quite a lot of cabling in order to get to them so it's an another 8 Pro box we were very happy to see that the guys managed to keep the SL series a two-way option so it only needs to only for your challenge and the way they do that is I suppose is quite clever so channel 1 does the low frequency drivers only that's what needs all the power and then channel 2 does the site low frequency drivers and it does the mids and it is the highs so on a DSL cabinet that's eight drivers on two channels that's why the DSL doesn't link throat there's no link out because you can only plug one box in and that's it on the ksl it's a bit different today we use a passive crossover of course on the carousel we can link to the system because it's a smaller box it doesn't need as much power so we have some reserve in the DAT so in a right processing mode with array processing as usual the castle we'll use two channels of dat just like a Denis series that exactly the same as a matter of fact you can use to say cabling and the same apricot problem well there's a line missing yet that's interesting oh sorry something has disappeared so if you lick it you could to have to care so late or - okay so l12 on one cable so you can see the patch panel has a link out to boxes forms okay that means you cannot do a rape processing so sighs doesn't matter that's a big key there will be a pixel and such a series by default that's something a geocell is in a relationship to though we go on this whole big chaos pelvis and relationships okay so it's a little bit smaller bit a little bit more compact then a Jane and you can see it doesn't have the same cabinet vibe and that's why the case L became a 10-degree box it was possible to have it up to 10 degrees question so here are some dimensions it's exactly 1 meter wide I love that I can remember it finally well they tell a quick look at some rigging and transport options update our current to them honestly from Holland and I had earlier great so we wanted to update our three Padre we wanted to have more upper dog tilt so on the SL series you can take the fly bar and rotate it front so you could change the center of gravity so we can never assault on living our certificate degree upwards is probably possible and we wanted to have compression and tension rigging model so text rigging is the one that we used on the VI and J Series and we also wanted to have a compression mode which is allows you to fly the system straight in a straight line and we wanted to have transport for for Tots that's what people in the market always says we were to have it on dollies before I and 3 subs maybe we wanted to create the array side which we have done which is an interesting one it's a it's the laser pointer that people have on top of a line right and it also includes the kilometer so you can read out the angle of the air top box and also it includes determining the humidity units why is that important well what we do actually do a rate processing we can now do a very accurate compensation for weather influences so we can say temperature and humidity changes are much more easy to repair and fix and the loudspeakers that are mostly affected by that other ones that have to go to furthest distance which other ones that are on top of the line array so you our temperature at the front of house tower is not a real good reference value for measuring that it's much more important what the Box is on top so now when array sight we have that on top of the speaker system yeah of course all the ringing parts change the lifting you need to be in a package which we have an efficient system amplification record cabling so I showed you the cables later they are out there they're really quite quite nice okay let's have a look at detention intrigued so that's attached mark that's the mold we all know what happens is is as Delilah ray goes up the hook picks up the angle pin what him which is plugged into any of these holes and under the second pin does the safety of that same method and the compression mode of all the rain goes up straight in a straight line and only when you complete to build the array you pull up the Penta tension in the back you can pull up this boat we fly frame and lift it up and compress it you could also use the compression bolt kit that we provide which is a hand-operated motor which is too long ago to demonstrate later and yeah there you have your brain compression followed before and after the good thing about this is is money on the festival stage and yet we have limited space you do not use more footprint that new pics will be a size to fly it okay here's a little video and your chosen and that's the compression we could calculate this all in Erika of course now it will cost a little bit afterwards are important and how to do this here are some of the parts we sell so we now have a mate played any played is cool if you have a really large distance to come up with your multiples if it's of 2530 feet our ice ceiling and the rigging is not possible to be very accurate you could not do it with three motors and then you could steer the array and it's horizontal axis by pulling on on either of those to arraign will then move okay the good thing is on the SL series all the rigging hardware is exactly the same as just a KO under smaller that's all but if you know how to fly a GS earlier normal to fly the condenser and most personally here's what the array side looks like that's the center unit here and has the little laser and everything in it that lives in the earth life right on top of the array and that's the hand unit you need this to configure it for the network and also during installation of the array you could read out your angle and you can spit some of the later without having the upper X going and then once you once you got em power you can plug the same laser into an OC a power over ethernet port on the front of the upright and you can read all these values old on your ar-15 and this is quite useful when you wanna do change yourself you do a big festival and at nine o'clock it starts to get dark and it gets cooler on that was very conditions change you can recalculate your array processing with these values you can reload and that little accordingly when you have completed them here's the earth transport stuff so it's a compact intensity cart do you compress instead case the array side connection on the fly frame that's all into foster care cell compact cars here are the three cards available GSM only has one card the case allows two different ones worth mentioning that these are 60 that means they do a 4y denote standard European truck so before I let you go for a drink and we are listening quickly let's talk about subwoofers on the subject of size matters the new SL sub is a turtle 21 inch subwoofer and now you know well you've already got one you already got me in front yes the infra is a bit big doesn't load so well in the truck and why because it needed the extra volume to create the low frequencies this one is reduced in size so it works quarterback on the truck or too wide on the dolly we have changed the voice coil a voice call is now multi layers and four layers of the same voice coil on top of each other and because of that we could reduce the magnet size magnet is now a lot smaller because because of that is lighter so this box weighs 138 kilos as opposed to 50 for ourselves and in front and um not only is it lighter it also is capable of running higher frequencies you will be pleased to hear that later on but what does it has else up actually do performer twice so if you look at the blue line here that's a chaser of our own race up let's rebel 18 and then you see the giant frog which was a sort of auxilary subwoofer that we were operating for people who would eat like waves and dance music and to be under under the J sub and if you deploy them correctly and you do everything according to the handbook the resulting frequency response is the Green Line that's both of them together as if you did it right okay some people didn't but most people got it right and in comparison to that we can have a look at a signal as Elsa so you can see it's a little bit reduced in the higher frequency would do that because we have more low-end coming up from the night boxes but in general you can say as a rule of thumb one as Elsa is the same output is one J sub and one J is brought together - one DB as effectively two boxes in one so a quick look at the pattern control as also I used to have four j7j infra head at a button had called the hypercar delete so we could change the current pattern so if we were flying it we could make it to a hyper economy and increase the directivity a little bit it was easily done by a little bit of different EQ on the rear driver a different level on DSL stop the guys managed to get it as good as you could possibly want it as for COD read and done I could go into details how they did it but it's a it's quite complex it's early and so it's no longer necessary to have an HCP button because one it's good for both months as it is now here are the subwoofers in in on a wheel boards well you notice they also have wheels on the back so just in case you want to transport them differently poland gets cold so violent some jackets so here we have a product photo fancy shot a little bit more I think I have some slides enabling technologies so interesting even nerdier be started in 88 or so on the 88 but the first box to 12:20 that has a and a significant pattern control was dead 1220 on that started at 800 words of words at the time that was a massive achievement that was incredible are we managed to get this down to now 45 notes we reset the entire portable bed width we used following technologies on the way to get to SL series one of the biggest one was the 80 platform and that came out after that we had the OCA protocol the new network protocol that enabled the exchange of the amount of data that was quiet to operate the proper array processing was a direct result of that noise calc was also the target result lot of great processing and so forth that keeps going on but at the end it all plays together so check it for updates as well serious not come if you want to on here are some pictures are going through that quite quickly couple of things we did during field testing that's what my department does in the summer when there is a new series coming we go out and we do these skips classic open airs more classic corporate events wrong Football Club so I'm gonna really quick about that rock roll open airs large open hands and then smaller open ears and so forth we do all these different events here's an interesting one the lovefest we did a nice prediction for the love family park this is on jb series of 2080 you can see how the area here Danya which is living area still quite polluted with noise and if you do the same festival with the same configuration we've just used ksl instead you can see how much quieter this whole area becomes the come back and forth a little bit yeah so i'm here's a little bit of a scale on the sides you can see what levels were talking about and this is a really important thing in Europe nowadays in the future you will have festivals that will not be granted from because they create too much noise so if everybody is really wirelessly asked to stick to noise control and learn about it and lost screen and it enables you to do very good accurate predictions so help yourself and use it so here are some basic packages so that's a ksl a film package which we would use maybe as an odd fill for a DSL system and this is how it would look on a European truffle than 45 degree low barely the dance floor full here we have the K cell basics of package ha you have to say not enough sauce I know that's what everybody says but uh that's the recommendation ratio and in a minute you'll hear why that is so that's the amount of truck space this will take on that we have an arena package I don't know 10,000 15,000 people indoors that could look something like that almost half a truck and then we go for the big festival open the air festival package that's a big system now I'd look at your truck the 45 foot trailer everything's on wheels just take a couple of desks of the back another my case and you're good to go think you can start start the event all right any questions as Margaret oh well this could mean two things you are the don't want to ask for I explained everything perfect I'm an optimist so I think I explained everything on that
