Day in the Life of LSU Commit Konnor Griffin. #1 HS Prospect.

hey my name is Conor Griffin and this is a day in the [Music] life [Music] yeah so my name is Conor Griffin and we're going to start off by walking through my kind of weight program what I've been doing this offseason uh yeah so let's get [Music] after [Music] shout out to [Music] we deadlift 475 I got that trap bar squat was [Music] 375 [Music] yeah they were they were good right here nice I was uh I was they pulled me up like my eighth grade year so I was like a pinch runner for Varsity so I didn't play much but orang Beach watching it were you really yeah you watched it yeah I saw you I saw one time you gred out of the picture I was like oh my God that was that was my that was my uh very first game uh freshman year I didn't I think they didn't give me an ad that year uh whatam call yeah last year was our best year best year in prep history just let you know yep we only lost what was it three games uh four we lost four we lost four games [Music] what's it say on there trust God and then be great I customized it at the PG All American game shout out Rawlings I've always used a Rawlings Outfield glove so it's nice I love them at this don't look at the back open this sick why P cuz let's see the hold my real quick so we're just going to you know get some good swings in um maybe do some light throwing get the arm loose uh got a little workout tomorrow on the field so just trying to you know make make sure everything's feeling feeling good and ready to go so uh yeah we got the whole field ourself cages so we can do pretty much whatever we want ah we got the right [Music] side we were going to goes through your head when you're just like playing catch H ly like like it's a Friday Friday evening and then we're out here trying to put in work you know it just it takes sacrifice to you know make it make it big places and baseball you got I mean you got to put in the work sacrifice other things hanging out with friends and stuff um but kind of goes through my head it's just it's all worth it you know I I this is this is like my home just being on this baseball field like I I love coming out here and putting in the work hitting on the field so I'm just I'm just ready for the season to start [Applause] honestly you know my goal is to make it to the big leagues one day and I got a long way to go till I get there but Know It Starts Here putting in the work and chasing after that dream so what drives you for that just you know being from being from like a small town in Florence Mississippi I mean there's some there's some big Leaguers that have uh come out of Mississippi but um I'm just trying to be that next guy you know be be that prospect that puts put Mississippi on the map um and you know just go do big things and make a positive impact on the world the people I play with um so yeah it's part of it I'm out here putting in the work with Trey everything's life is good so couldn't ask for anything [Applause] better let's go bro you making me work out there look at me bro I'm sweating [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] oh time [Music] how many you [Music] want [Music] and then but I mean the ultimate goal though is to play in front of 95,000 so if you just keep your keep your eyes on that then nose to the ground yep that's right you feel like it's going quick yeah especially Rec classing up I'm I'm kind of ready for it I'm ready like I I love High School um um ready to finish out the season thank you so try to win one more state championship and then own the own the the future so that's what I told him not too long ago you know having all these meetings that we've had to go through with Scouts and and college coaches always tell him like you get to do this you know I mean that the word get means a lot you get to and you're blessed to be able to to have that opportunity where you know there's a lot of young boys and men who dream about that opportunity and so I think if you look at it from that aspect it just kind of keeps you humble and grounded in the whole process of it all so which I think I'm kind of just preparing myself to just focus on the game you know like I can't be worrying about all these people coming to the game like it's so different than a bunch of bunch of just fans in the sand so right trying to prepare myself for that and just enjoy it enjoy my senior year and don't get caught up in anything else really awesome awesome might be a little different but that's what you're here for [Music] huh [Music] let's [Music] go [Music] [Music] w [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] yeah [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] yeah right here [Music] where we up to where we headed right now yeah we are headed to to my house kind of show show the people watching kind of what Mississippi's like and show them some stuff at my house what I do when I'm there I just got a new dog going show the camera the dog as well so um yeah it's going to be fun Got Jake and Joe in the back we're just going to go hang out for a little bit who Ked them my dad both of us have someity stuff for you there all right my dog will jump on you this is room this is it what we got going on here yeah so uh we got got a bunch of stuff over here I would say this is all my like trophies and things like that from past events and got all my bats over here so got these Rings right here I think these are my favorite out of all this stuff over here just the state championship rings of 1 three with uh with Jackson prep so and then there's a also a basketball one so got one for hooping some of this other stuff like perfect game All American game um I think this is like a select Fest Trophy and then I remember winning the Home Run Derby at 13 you SEL Fest this was uh this is that trophy so that one's pretty sick yeah over here we got a bunch of jerseys um from the summer my favorite one was is probably this USA one just because you know it's an honor to play for your country and uh trying to represent Mississippi is what I was trying to do and you know it was super cool getting to you know play with those guys and go compete against other countries uh this is my PDP Jersey that was a fun event I went to Seattle Washington played in the MLB high school all American game so that was super cool and team Mississippi got to got it was an honor playing playing for team Mississippi and that so that was that was really cool as well and then my perfect perfect game All American Jersey that was a super fun event so um so yeah that's really really about it got got the Christmas tree yeah always I got the Christmas tree I do a little workouts in here especially during quarantine is really when I had to use this a lot when I couldn't get get in the gyms and stuff like that so uh I always have it here just in case I ever want to get a little workout in and how many bats you think you got too many probably too many so I got a I got a bunch don't look at don't look at it up close but if you look look far away kind of looks like me painted by who painted by me Me by me I even signed it with a paint brush drip what's the best uh what's the best shoes is that it yeah definitely these you sneaker head oh yeah well I don't I don't have a lot okay but I I I want to one day cuz I like I like Jordans and stuff like that so uh just trying to they don't think that you're sneaky yeah I don't think they do but put the camera on her she is she's laughing at me Jak hey he didn't want Conor he wanted me I would rather I thought we were hitting that machine yeah we just said he wanted to hoop first shot next time took a second to like get used to it times I found it then I'm sorry [Music] we're going to use this we use a brush off good we have some do we have worms in [Music] there I like to you know when I'm not playing baseball get out here and uh go fishing and not really worry about anything else so it's a good good little get away um it's nice to have a pond right in the middle of my front yard so it's good good to get out here even if I don't catch anything it's just fun just peaceful maybe I get home from practice or something I'll come out here right it's sun setting and nice nice weather and just kind of you know just peaceful get out here and just uh really really just throw the line out there and just relax a little bit not really worry about anything else so yeah it it's a good way to end the day kind of like a lot of people like to like meditate things like that this is my way of you know having a peaceful mind [Music]
