ah [Music] good morning and welcome back to my channel today we are filming another day in the life it is currently a thursday thursdays are my really busy days at uni which i kind of thought would be interesting to document it is half seven we got up at seven o'clock this morning i want to make a full like morning routine so you can see what we got up to but otherwise i've just packed my bag we're about to leave hannah's just gonna straighten her hair quickly and then we're gonna walk down to uni and we've got a couple of hours this morning both of us free where i think we're going to try and get through quite a bit of work this is my outfit of the day today i'm looking slightly like i'm going to a funeral so thank god for the coat i've just got this black like long sleeve top on and my flag jeans and some air force [Music] so hannah and i are walking to campus together today um because we're both heading down at the same sort of time we're gonna go via prep which is no shock to anybody because we've both got our subscriptions and today i've got my flash cards because i have my german exam today so it's a speaking exam it's only five to six minutes that i have to speak for on like my political engagement or volunteering all that sort of thing so i'm slightly nervous about that because it does actually count towards my grade for the year which counts towards my degree so it's kind of important it is a small percentage but i'm still slightly nervous [Music] we're in our favorite place where are we hannah guys i'm going to get an apron and i usually get an overnight last night you do because they've seen that in the other videos i'm going to get a cup of tea a cup of white tea with milk which i get every day hello can i get a white tea please thank you [Music] but the first thing i'm going to do this morning is where i have some electronics so basically i find it really difficult to find lecture notes while some collectors like in session because i spend the whole time trying to copy down some of the slides instead of actually listening so i'm going to write the notes now and then when it comes to the lecture i can just add in the bits that i don't understand all the extra bits she's had the same so i'm doing my global development module and this week we're learning about commodity genes and geographies of food and agriculture there are 44 [Music] i'm just looking through the lecture and look at this picture that our lecturer has chosen of karl marx spot the difference i've just finished my lecture notes it's like 9 15 and i'm just going through the google doc because my speaking exam today is actually with two other girls so it's like a joint presentation thing so we need to make what each of us have written fit together so i'm just doing that now on the first few sections i'm going to try and do the next two and then go to prep obviously get myself another cup of tea and then i've got german speaking which is optional but recommended at 10 o'clock so that's online so i need to find somewhere on campus where i can sit and do that [Music] see you later bye-bye thanks [Music] i've got my second prep been practicing um i'm just walking past the royal courts of justice which is looking amazing so my favorite part one well one of my favorite pets is opposite the royal courts of justice and it look it's such a beautiful building anyway but today it's looking particularly nice and it's just yeah good place to work you get nice views anyway um i'm now heading back onto campus and i'm going to try and go to the center building because i've got speak in my german class i think i've already explained this and i'm obviously can't do that in the library this is a bit of a problem and it was more of a problem last year with online learning but it's a bit of a problem but there's a lot of places on campus where you can work really quietly there's not many where you can actually talk and it's quiet so i'm hoping on the first couple of floors of the centre building i should be able to talk there so we'll go and see how that goes [Music] i found a seat and there's not many other people around which is ideal so i should be able to talk i'm on the auditorium bit of the center building also a bit background to what i'm actually doing now basically this is an actually part of my degree this is like optional extra so it's put on by the language school they're called conversation circles so a native speaker or a fluent speaker of the language that you're learning so in my case german basically has volunteered to run a like conversation group basically so they come up with a few um pictures and things that we then discuss in the language that we're learning and it's supposed to help people you don't have to be doing the language at lse like as part of your degree or even as a non-degree course like you can literally just be interested in it as long as you're at the right level you can join um and i quite enjoy it because it means i get to meet different people who aren't necessarily in my german class hello [Music] i just finished german speaking i've got my actual german class with my exam so i'm gonna just spend the next hour trying to work on this german exam and get it where i wanted to be but i have just bumped into this lovely girl in the center building i think her name i'm gonna get this wrong but i think it's akita and she's a first-year social policy and economic student she's so so lovely and she was just saying that she watched my videos which was really nice for her to come up and say hello i fancied a bit of fresh air before my german class and my german exam so i headed to lincoln fields which is the park near university um just to chill out and run over my flash cards the final time if our bikes are made from uk i obviously wasn't able to film my actual german exam but i did film a few other clips from my class which i've included here into a politician building in the uk extinction [Music] is form a verb that looks like the first person singular of the adam but it's connected with a third person singular and that is really the essence of the cognitive divines when it's not designed really german is over the presentation went okay i'm here with a couple of people from my class it's priya and miller um anyway we're going to go to try and get some food so basically there's this man who comes to campus every day i think it's part of like a hindu organization um anyway he comes to campus and he gives out free food which is so nice so hopefully he's going to be there today because i'm absolutely starving it's two o'clock now um and i've got a half an hour break before i've then got another lecture so i need to go get some food [Music] we have orange curry and rice today there's normally bread but i think because we're here quite late um there isn't any how was lunch hannah it was all right we're heading to prep now and then we've got a lecture in 20 minutes are you gonna do it fifteen minutes are you gonna do it okay so we're both gonna do it live um so we'll head back to the library and do that so i got myself a square hot chocolate um i've tried coconut and i tried oh and i've never had toilet so we're gonna try that [Music] quite nice i think i still prefer normal milk update on the soya milk big fan actually i've got soya caramel and it's actually really nice um maybe this is a newfound favorite so hannah and i are on the same lecture today but we're obviously watching it i'm having slight technical issues i mean i've not even been let into the lecture i'm stuck in the waiting room she's trying to get her slides out has she started we're just watching a slide that says who in the lecture has had a coffee today don't lie on the palm so because this is development it's open to people from other courses so we have quite a few people in this lecture that we don't know [Music] i'm running late but i have a class now four till five pm um over in the other building so i need to hurry up because it started three minutes ago but on facts class of lsu will start fighting and then at five tbr we're currently in class marco's here no um marco has an ipad which doesn't work with gis which is what we're currently doing geographic information systems um so he has to look over my shoulder my computer yeah don't get an ipad and come to lse and do geography um because it won't go well for you um and yeah we're just trying to work out what we're doing currently we're learning how to calculate the distance between pretending to learn clapham and clapham east south we have information on tube stations if we want to know perhaps where one specific one is and we're going to do that now what this will do if you look at the map it will flash where clapping junction is oh i know [Music] i need is there like a more specific way of like where you can just tell the computer to do it for you and it doesn't rely on you clicking on it [Music] [Applause] after class i headed back to the library and made a start on an essay plan that i had due the following week i've just finished in the library and maddie's in my class so i met up with her and she has facetimed a friend whilst i was doing a bit work anyway now i'm heading to swimming which is six or seven tonight um i swim for lse not competitively it's like for fitness swim training um so i'm going down there now and then when i get back to halls i can have dinner but it's a bit of a late one on a thursday for me [Music] i've just got back from swimming i'm absolutely shattered it is half past seven i'm gonna head straight downstairs and get dinner cause that actually closes at eight so i need to be reasonably quick um hannah's already had it she's over here and she says that dinner's really nice tonight so i've got high hopes [Music] [Applause] [Music] it is about 8 30 nine ish now um since coming upstairs i've just been scrolling on my phone which i know is not good but i was just exhausted and oh that's all i wanted to do so i let myself do that anyway um i hope you've enjoyed the video if you have as ever give it a big thumbs up
