[Music] look [Music] good morning you guys welcome back to my channel it's your girl kayla here and i cannot believe it but by the title of that video you guys already know what's going on today i'm bringing you guys a day in the life of me being a teacher going back into the building full-time this is crazy that like summer is already over if you follow me on instagram then you already know how i'm feeling right now so i'm gonna take you guys all along with me throughout my day so you can see what it's like on the other side of things so you guys see a lot of the things that i do here at home but um at work not so much so stay tuned for that we're going to be decorating my classroom we're going to be moving in it's just going to be a really productive day or at least that's my goal so let's go ahead and get it started so i'm actually getting ready for work right now i snooze probably longer than i should so i definitely need to get a move on so i want to have a couple pieces from going to be doing a lot of moving and grooving so let's change back into that i'm going to fluff out my hair a little bit more because it looks a little flat to me i just want it to be like bigger and then we are going to get ready to go because it's 7 20 and i gotta be to work at eight so let's get a move on let's fluff the hair you guys i just want it to look a little bit bigger today i want it to look so flat you guys it's so annoying when like it's time to get a new set and your hair starts snagging on your nails i dislike that feeling so much and that's exactly what's happening right now alrighty friends so these are all the items that i need to pack into the car a lot of it is newer items from like five below tons of snacks but not all for me things i've printed out just everything when we get to work we will unload everything [Music] all right friends i have everything i need and just like that i am off to work i cannot believe this normally though i would like make breakfast or something like that but since the first day they are providing breakfast for teachers so isn't that sweet that cuts back on all the things i had to do this morning let's go ahead and head out i'll see you guys [Music] [Music] okay guys so i just made it to the school house um i was sitting here killing time because i got here a couple minutes early like three minutes early so let me take some selfies real quick you know so anyways i did that i'll post one of those on my reading truck account which is like my teacher instagram basically so if you're interested in that please give it a follow let's go on in and then we'll unload my car and then eat breakfast and just have the most productive best day possible [Music] okay friend so i made it into the building i'm here in my classroom and things are pretty much the exact same way that i left it so let me give you guys a quick tour and then i'm gonna go ahead and start like unloading my car so really quick tour front door two closets um dry erase boards smart screen desk window my desk i don't know bulletin board like sync and counter space and all that um let me see is there anything else over here it's just like a lot of storage and stuff and let me do ultra wide to give you guys like one final look of everything [Music] okay so that is the space that we are working with it's a pretty like really good sized room i would say um so now i'm i'm really just taking like everything down that i had like last year i didn't really do a theme because we came into the building so late i just kind of threw up whatever i had so i printed out a lot of new items for this year and we're doing like a pink classroom so let's go unload my car [Music] oh [Music] [Music] [Music] alrighty friends so this is everything that i have laminated so far numbers guidelines colors symbols schedule cards um new alphabet and new sayings to replace what's up here and then finally we have our jobs so that's what everything's looking like so you guys can get an idea of like the theme so now i'm gonna start cutting stuff up we are still in our meeting [Music] so i just got out of some meetings for the morning but i got about to go in another meeting i'm still cutting like everything up it's taking me quite a while but it always does so it's fine i think these are like the last couple of things i need to cut and then also once the meetings are all done we're probably gonna like during lunch go get something to eat and then also run to walmart because i run out of laminating sheets and i have a lot more to laminate and i've also um i need like some hot glue sticks a hot glue gun and like some of that sticky putty is what i usually use so maybe we can start putting things together today that is literally my goal um so that is the plan but let me show you guys what i have i have a lot of cute stuff this year and i'm really excited about it so first are like these little jobs these are so cute and they were free on tpp like for all my teacher friends out there so that's kind of like the color palette that i'm going for i also wanted to show you guys all the stuff that i already bought so maybe i'll take a break from cutting we don't meet for a couple more minutes and i'll do like a little haul with you guys you guys remember i have like a whole bunch of things in my wagon this wagon is from saints club it is awesome like literally if you always bring a lot of things into the classroom it's perfect i got some decorations from the school box it's really pretty like blush pink border i got like a mustard color and then like a bubblegum pink okay next from five below i got this super cute pillow that just matches the entire aesthetic of my costume i probably should have got two but that was five bucks i went to target last night and i saw these really pretty pink tubs so i got two of these from the dollar spot they were three bucks each next we have some whites all right um if you watch my instagram reels i did a little thing about the target dollar spot so i bought these 30 book clothes i really want my kids to like read a lot more this year than last year because they with you know everything going on they didn't touch books but speaking of books i have a book here called the environmental abcs the link for this will be down below in the description box my best friend's sister um she actually wrote this book which is so cool it's like amazing to see like her creation and basically throughout the book it just goes through like all of those foundational things that kids should know about the environment and with each letter it brings up like a vocabulary word it's a beautiful book and it's just really thoughtful so i can't wait to like put this on my shelf in the classroom and just have it on display and i love the representation of like all the different kids so here's like one example a is for air invisible gas that surrounds the earth and then b bacteria so and then it goes like into all the other letters and what they mean but it's absolutely amazing y'all have to check this out next i got these dry erase boards because i don't have any they were a dollar i like that there's handwriting on the back so i got like five of these i'm really excited about these vines because they're basically little mini trash cans so for example this lid goes with this one and this is like pretty big too i don't know if you guys can tell but like it's a pretty good sized fashion i already owned a couple of mini trash cans already but they were like a teal color so these are a good find and like for three bucks one it says it's a five liter one look how cute that is i also picked up these really cute organizers these are really like for my teacher desk they'll just be out like on display so i'll probably do something like this and put pens and pencils in them this is probably like my favorite find from five below i got four of these little baskets i don't know quite yet what they're gonna be for but they're such a good deal and target has these for eight bucks so i was able to get these for five and they are huge okay and we're gonna go pick up some supplies soon so that would be fun i didn't wasn't sure if they were gonna give things to us or not but i got these two little bins as well from five below they were five bucks each and they're so cute like i also don't know what these were gonna be for but i just feel like i need more organization in my life so i got this rug five bucks y'all this is probably gonna go in front of my desk and then i'm gonna put a bench in front of it i got some paper rolls i have a whole bunch of paper rolls these are like wrapping paper so it probably won't be as durable but i'm thinking that it's going to be or um like my content boards just picked up supplies you guys these are like all the things that they gave us so i actually got one of these on amazon but it's bigger um a lot of pencils and just tons of things construction paper which actually bought some of this too markers and stuff um what's this composition books folders and just a lot more composition books and stuff that is literally all the supplies and everything that i got it's just finished meeting with my team my hair is like frizzing out even more cuz it's so hot but i cut out all of the letters so we'll put those up we are meeting again when we get back so i don't know how much decorating i'm gonna get to do today but that's okay because i'm about to go get lunch now and then we're also going to run to walmart [Music] come find me in the night [Music] we both know when it's right babe i can't but i wanted my [Music] everything is [Music] um just trying to take a breather i do have like 20 more minutes until i'm supposed to be back at work but i got my food i'm just going to eat in here real quick [Music] um i am back to school got my walmart got my food i feel pretty good we have like maybe two and a half hours left here so i want to go ahead and start working on my alphabet and like putting that up i got the putty i needed the only thing that i forgot to get i just remember as soon as i sat down here at work was to get an x-acto knife and the reason i wanted one was because with some of the letters i made they have like those spaces in between so i wanted to cut those out but i might just leave it honestly does that look terrible if i leave it guys oh update my co-worker had a exacto knife [Music] alrighty y'all so i just finished um taking out like all of the spaces in between my letters i do think it looks a whole lot better so now we're gonna go ahead and start putting up the alphabet and putting this up so we can kind of you know start decorating the room and then once i do this um we'll just go from there i don't know what i'll do next so we'll just see [Music] oh [Music] um [Music] wouldn't hold it against [Music] [Music] won't you love me won't you love me won't you love me you love me like yesterday don't you feel it how it feels [Music] okay guys i am sweating an insane amount anyways i'm doing like as much as i can we leave in like 30 minutes so i'm just trying to like everything set up but so far i think it looks super duper cute i looked at my roster i only have 13 kids so far which is insane move this over here about to organize this and like organize my desk so those like these areas can just be um way more functional for me because right now everything is everywhere and it's looking crazy up in here so well except for the board that looks [Music] love pretty you love me like yesterday [Music] tell me [Music] [Music] but i just feel like dancing okay guys so remember that food i showed y'all earlier well now i'm going to go ahead and organize it i usually keep all my snacks for me in the foul cabinet so i'm going to do the same thing this year so let's go ahead and put everything away [Music] so we've made it to the end of my school day it's 3 30 now um so it's time for me to go home but i do want to show you guys how far i got today i feel like the front looks really cute and it's pretty much the only thing i did decorate and um i organized a little bit over there but everything's still kind of in disarray so i definitely will bring you guys back here tomorrow to see me kind of like finish things off oh and i forgot to say that possibly marcus will be helping me bring in a lot more of my items because i have a lot more stuff [Music] okay y'all so i made it back home and i changed into my other cute throat up t-shirt by jungkook and i just put on some sweatpants because i decided randomly that i wanted to go get my nails done so i'm about to go do that now i also want to get my toes done so let's go to the nail shop and then we'll probably go to the storage unit afterwards and then move some more things into my classroom and keep the day rolling [Music] [Applause] [Music] all righty friends so i just finished my now um actually not my nails but my toenails they look so cute um i really didn't have enough time to like stay and get my nails done so i'm gonna come back here tomorrow for sure um and the reason is because marcus gets off at and so basically he'll be helping me move some things in and the building closes at seven so i just wanted to have enough time and it probably wouldn't get out of here if i did get my nails done until like six um and i was getting an intricate design so i was like no let me not play myself so um let's go ahead and head home grab marcus go to the storage unit drop my things off at school and then um we'll just see where the rest of the day [Music] y'all takes it's locked so all of that was for nothing sorry babe they literally said that the building would be open till seven all week but yeah it's gonna panic express so anyways whatever we actually have caught that's our second l since trying to do all of this stuff barbie's got a ticket on my behalf basically you know there was an accident or not even an accident i don't know but the road was blocked where we were like trying to go through to get to the storage unit place and so i told marcus i will just go in that lane and then turn into the pavilion like go around these cars and turn into the pavilion next thing we know cups i said where did he come from like i did not see him at all and um he pulled marcus and i over and basically gave us a ticket so it was literally my fault because i took breakfast to do it damn not to mention you might have hit somebody else oh right yeah and trying to get us he didn't hit the car that was like in the right the like proper lane trying to like come and chase after us i guess so it was just a mess but marcus was so understanding he wasn't mad at all um but i felt bad because i literally told him to do that and only reason i said that was because we were rushing we literally were rushing because oh my gosh the building but yeah we're going to panic space now and then i think we're also going to go to five below [Music] okay period y'all i i think it's time for me to get a new car and donate to the marcus truck foundation don't need to the gofundme down below don't don't entertain him yeah um i don't know about the truck but i do want to get an suv y'all because i feel like my car i'm kind of outgrowing it i have so many things that i'm like always picking up which is why it's a lot of times in videos where i'm picking up things i'm in marx's car or marcus is with me so now you guys kind of know why that is because my part is just i mean y'all know cotton candy is so small she's so cute but yeah i do plan to get a new car my goal is to get one by the end of the year some of my options that i'm looking at i really like the toyota rav4 i'll pop up pictures of each one i also like the porsche cayenne um i need to go plumbing for real for that not a good send me for the porch oh my goodness anyways we're about to get some food i definitely want to get the veggies they were so good last time the um seasoned this is steamed veggies is what it's called yeah it's really good y'all kayla's been on her health kick for real she's been eating vegetables without me having to ask her to like really like cooking kale sauteing this he makes you seem like i don't eat vegetables i'm usually usually the one who got the idea of like i know marcus will usually be the one to be like um can you make some vegetables with it right like this is the first time this past week was the first time caleb added some greenery to some spaghetti without me asking because it's spaghetti it's a meal in itself yeah but i've been craving kale like it's weird i was eating it raw out of the bag nobody needs the nutrients i know i feel like i've been like my body was so deprived of greenery and i talked to you guys about this in my last video video but um with like my vitamins and everything i'm taking and just trying to like take better care of my body um so that really has been like one of my goals of course you all saw me earlier eating french fries and chicken dinners no i didn't we went out to zak's piece we you me and the people [Music] i really wanted to get it right [Music] trying to find some balance in my life but i never really put up a fight [Music] it somehow i wish that someone could say it'll all be okay just listen to me as i said [Music] good morning guys so it is the next day and of course i want to take you guys back with me to my classroom so we can hopefully get just a lot more done today that is my big goal so yeah i want you guys to see like more of my room being done because i really just got the front done um yesterday and um we'll see where else the day takes is i'm gonna try to film as much as possible okay friends so i just made it to work um my co-worker helped me move in all of my things she's the sweetest and so i'm about to hook up a little fan that i got um yesterday at five below and then i think we have a meeting to do like 8 30 so i'll go to that and i'm just gonna try to like start piecing this room all together a little bit more and i have a lot more laminating to do so let's go ahead and get started [Music] i'm not gonna worry [Music] [Music] my heart was open wide i could feel it breaking deep inside [Music] and now you have to pay the price [Music] is [Music] [Music] okay guys so i finally feel like my room is coming together just a whole lot more it's so cute so i'm working on the library right now i was contemplating whether or not i should spray paint those chairs but i don't think i will so um i just went and got some crates and a whole bunch of like other more books from another teacher and so this is what i'm gonna use to create my library [Music] is [Music] okay guys so it is currently lunchtime i finished off my library i put all the books in there that i had and then of course oops sorry and of course the others that i got from other teachers and things i feel like it looks super cute love it that plant right there will not stay but i do want to add something right here like a cold maybe something like read i don't know just so that part like won't be so empty and it'll round it all out over there so yeah i feel like that's really really cute it came out great and so before i go to lunch because it is lunch time i want to work on like the front of my room and get that set up move some of these desks back put my carpet out that way it start it's going to start to feel like more put together [Music] by myself [Music] sitting on your fingertips [Music] we used to talk about [Music] it can't be over over [Music] i don't know what you did but it's all right with me it doesn't matter anymore oh i just finished my little boards that i wanted to do so one will be for reading ela and then writing i think that's how i'm gonna do it so i did like those different patterns back there i really wanted to do like the craft paper one with the polka dots so cute i wanted to do that one down there but i ran out so that's the one that that i got from target there's only a little piece of it left so i'll use it somewhere over here to tie it all in because that's the only way this paper is in the whole classroom and then i also ran out of this one so that's why it's a little shorter but whatever and then we have just a basic white one which is really cute too pops against the wall surprisingly and so this whole area right here will probably just be well this wall is dedicated for reading as you can see and so i'm gonna get like some little stools to put here one two three four five of them i have these little stools maybe i can put them there just so we can see how it'll look [Music]
