Day 94: 3 interesting things to explore; a miniature box Brownie, a new telescope, and matchboxes!

hi a rainy winty wintry day today and so I spent quite a lot of time in the workshop I was uh finishing off my telescope and I was looking around my stash for bits and pieces and I came across something that reminded me of my dad I inherited this from my dad when he died and he was a heavy smoker he was a chain smoker and he rolled drones and he used beehive matches and zigzag tissue paper and so when he finished with his matchboxes he used them to pull his little spits in washers split Pins Springs small nuts I like particularly like the one that said junk and I thought I wonder what my father would consider to be junk so I have a look and I oh and I find a spinner oh I'm not a spinner a washer galvanized nails some silvery bits that I don't know where we got those from um a screw and of course there's a split pin there he had lots of split pins he had big ones small ones I don't know what he used them for but that's what they are so that's what my dad considered to be junk now it's his fault that four of his daughters have all got their own workshops and their own tool boxes and I mean he built a yacht when he was younger he um restored old cars He restored houses and he built his own house and the four girls me included Made Concrete and helped him out with his house and so that's how we were all so handy I think it's because of my father's skills now I get him back to Edward and my telescope I finished I changed the barrel because I didn't like the barrel it looked like a a ray gun and I wanted it to look more like a telescope so I've modified it Roger thinks it should have a flange on the end but I haven't found anything that's what I was looking for when I found dad stuff I didn't have a flange but I'll keep looking for one of those so I'm really pleased with that it sits good it's the right height Edward can see J the little thingy you can watch the stars and it all fits into the observatory so really pleased with that now Edward of course is finished playing with his um scope and he's going to be sociable he's realized he's been neglecting Amelia so oh I thought oh we better make sure that Amelia is behaving herself so I better go and show you what am media's been up to so here we are finding out what Amelia is up to but as you're going past the front room of the house I pr noticed that there's an ay in the front window and now we find out what Amelia is up to she and Sam had been discussing a new invention that has uh just turned up it's a brownie camera and so this is all very innocent of course and so with Edward comes up and interrupts him he's not going to see anything UNT he will see a brownie camera you'd never seen before and that brownie camera was made by a club as a free giveaway I think at a show and I just thought it was amazing even with the little roll of film so that's what I've been up to today and goodness knows what sort of Mischief I could get up to tomorrow [Music]
