Dennett does not think the singularity will happen. He says AI will only become a tool not a colleague. View his comment here.
Dennett's solution to the mind-body problem is to declare the mind an illusion. That's his 'solution'. But as to how that illusion is generated, he has nothing to say.
So Daniel Dennett feels so sure of himself, that without any explanation or evidence whatsoever, he feels he's "solved" the issue of hard consciousness, by telling us consciousness is an illusion.
For someone who's quick to criticize woo-woo and magical thinking in other people, he's not so good on irony.
