Dan White Blows Jimmy's Mind with a Harry Potter Book Trick

I love you you are unbelievably fun to watch we're gonna have some more fun I've got some books here and we need to help from someone from the audience just to start things off good course no crazy I need somebody who's read a Harry Potter before Rosalind you read Harry Potter we who written you really yelled it you really you read it I feel I feel you but I don't know you right and do you know that you know damn okay you know Harry okay good you want to make sure nothing's rigged here not these ring that was your choice I know but this just that just freaked me out I just feel like I'd Verbeck yeah that really stand up can you hold that book against your chest very good I also have a dictionary here Jimmy if you wouldn't mind can you please give this to any member of the roots that you like anybody at all it's your choice I like make it random ha ha ha get involved here very good and as I have a book here for you okay this is actually Neil Patrick Harris his book uh-huh love it yeah did you had him on like a week ago I know and he actually talked about our show so I thought it might be fitting for her to use his book okay Jimmy here we go I have a playing card here I'm going to riffle through this book just like this as I do that I just want you to say stop whenever you want okay so I'm gonna go to just say stop stop right there stop referring it into the book we're gonna mark exactly where you stopped me out with that card okay what I want you to do is I'm gonna open up the book and I want you to look at the very first now yeah I want you to look at the very first word on the page that you stopped me at the very first word yes you got it yeah remember it say it over and over your head and I also want you to remember the page number that you stopped me at I know it's tough you can do it okay remember the page number and the very first word yes you got it yeah committed to memory yes fantastic here we go remember those two things we're gonna we're gonna start with the word first though okay word for it we're first don't forget the page don't forget the word just look at me here we go yes I want you to think of that word and I'm gonna ask you a couple of questions okay I want you to think of how many letters are in that word don't say it fine fine alright that helps me out that house you know ok so it's a four or five right four or five I don't know I forget for good ok good good I want you to think of the first letter in that word think of the first letter network look at me look at me when it imagine sort of drawn right here no okay so more of like a curvy letter perhaps like an S or C okay good an S okay good okay what in the world is going on here we go keep thinking of the word keeping or think of the whole word yeah the whole word good good okay uh it's Sol yeah what nice okay we're gonna take this a little bit further we're gonna take this little bit further actually I Jimmy hold on to that book for me hold on to that book uh miss you're holding Harry Potter right now um what I want you to do is I want you to open up to any page that you want in that book at all any page you want are you happy there yeah that's great miss in a second what I'd like you to do is I'd like you to look down at the page you opened up to and I want you to think of a word that you see on that page but but we just picked like a small word okay I want you to pick like a really big word a lot of letters whole lot of letters makes it more interesting more difficult have you done that got it you thinking about where right now lot of letters yep real word fantastic close the book think of the whole word think of the whole word and give the first letter think of the second letter good okay good here we go yeah all right let's try this okay just first thought first thought uh perfect all right Jimmy I just wrote something down okay I can't change my mind miss you literally could have thought of pretty much any word in that entire book right mm-hmm you'd be pretty impressed if I wrote down the word you're thinking of right now yeah happy amazing yeah yes mm-hmm for the very first time what is the word you were thinking of half-heartedly Jimmy hmm wait for it half-heartedly I don't understand Sam this is half-heartedly okay this is half-heartedly in code this is this is actually even more impressive than if I just worked on half-heartedly okay seriously because there's one book left it's the Webster's dictionary sorry can you please open up that book to page three to five three to five in that dictionary okay yeah I got a page 325 yeah on each page are two columns can you please look at the first column on that page okay great and can you please go down to the fourth bold entry the fourth bold definition on that page yeah miss you could have thought of anywhere in that entire book I wrote this down before you ever sail out three should say half-hearted or half-heartedly it's half-hearted ladies and gentlemen [Music] let's take this even further let's take this in further uh at the beginning you you thought of a word and you thought of a page number yeah do you remember that page number yes yes you good okay perfect hurry what if I told you that that page has now vanished from the book III don't see how that's possible Jimmy where was the page number - 72 - 72 - 72 soul can you please turn that book to page 272 oh man for the veteran Neil Patrick Harris this is gonna be missing it - 72 uh it's ripped out she's ripped out it's missing from the book uh what if I told you you know exactly where this page is right now I don't know what to tell you I don't know why no no but you do know where this page it you know it's subconsciously because you thought of a word right huh yes what you thought of the word so like sole of your shoe Jimmy take your shoe off it was Seoul right so yes lift up the sole Oh but in here ya know if I can go from the back you maybe you can try use one of these me see this fish right in there oh my gosh there's a really nice shoes um inside of the sole are you again if you thought of a different page it would have been a different word have been different place yeah Jimmy we haven't said anything up we even talked fish up one page in the sole of his shoe and check this out matches [Applause] don't know how the heck you did that oh my gosh
