[Applause] Jesus [Music] [Applause] you know David David said in Psalm 67 he said let all the peoples praise you that the earth could yield her increase and see it says all of creation is in bondage waiting for the sons of God to be made manifest and I want to tell you listen your praise has the power to unlock prison doors come on your worship when you begin to release your sound when you begin to release your soul creation response to the sound of the Redeem that's why David said that the redeemed of the Lord say so that wasn't just a good confession it was because life and death and the power of the tongue and in a world that has come under the the lie of sin and death we have the opportunity to arise with the truth and the power of praise amen so in the count of three can we just just lift up the name of Jesus and we're gonna see the earth begin to release increase we're gonna begin to see prada khals begin to turn home we're gonna begin to see addiction broken off I listen I believe that your worship changes happen as fears I believe that there's power in your praise to transform your cities you see Paul and Silas in the midnight hour they chose to pray they chose to praise they chose to sing everybody else was worried some were asleep but you found them praising at midnight you found them singing their song and that listen it wasn't just their door that opened but everyone's door open it wasn't just their trains that fell off but every train fell off and the very ones that opposed him said what must I do to be saved and I'm telling you there's something about your praise this morning that is unlocking prison doors there's something about your sound that is causing shackles to fall to the ground there is something about your worship that is turning the hearts of Kings to him again she's come on to the count of three let's just lift up the name of Jesus amen one two three Jesus [Music] Oh [Music] [Music] listen I'm telling you come on that that's the gospel Matthew five listen he said you're the salt you're the light he said nobody likes a light a lamp and hides it under a basket we're called me city set on the hill a light that cannot be hidden he said that men would begin to see your good works and give glory secular unbelieving natural carnal men they will begin to see the work of God Christ in you the hope of glory manifests in and through your life and it would cause the unbeliever to come in and begin to praise a Living God he said that man would give glory to your father that is in heaven and I'm telling you there is a place that we are called to shine with the glory of an unveiled face there is a place that we are called to not just to not just be that city set on a hill but also to recognize that we're called to take the light to the city amen and so god I just thank you Lord for what you're doing and each and every one of our hearts this morning and we should say more we open our hearts up for more two more and to be more of you to be a greater expression that we'd really recognize that the fullness of the Godhead dwells in us through the life and love of Jesus Christ we love you Jesus we love your presence we we thank you Lord for the privilege i got rekked a minute ago just that you know i just started looking at you know there's some so much so often we can be limited by the lens of self preservation I'm trying to hold on to things that are not even ours to hold on to and there is such a privilege and laying down our life for our friends laying down our life for one another god I asked Lord for the truth of that revelation to permeate each and every one of our hearts Lord that we could be loved and be loved to the world around us in Jesus name Amen hey why don't you take a moment and just take that love that you've received from him and give it away to one another amen and as folks are greeting one another here I want to welcome those of you who are joining us online this morning we I said it was like you know everything that I was feeling in my heart and I could see the Lord doing in my life it was like Jeff was like singing the soundtrack as it happened I was like man I was like just like as it was happening you're just singing it over over the room and over us and how many of you are just thankful for the love of the Lord in your life how many think with the presence of God the person of the Holy Spirit I'm telling you listen we have so much to be thankful for in fact we could spend the rest of our lives just thanking the Lord and guess what we would never run out of things to be thankful for amen so we're just so thankful for you this morning and I want to welcome you here of course to Kingsway Church you know Saturday morning you know a lot of times folks can can can you know a lot of times you know the night services a lot of times you know you have more folks showing up because it work and everything else like that but I've just learned over the years that there's just something special about these morning sessions that honestly a lot of times the you know for me and a lot of times the times I get touched the most and I hear what really resonates with my heart the most were these mornings and afternoon sessions and so I just want to tell you how blessed I am to see your hunger to come out on a Saturday morning we know you could be anywhere in the world doing a bunch of different things and you chose to come and to meet with the Lord and to worship Him and I just want to tell you how much that blesses us as pastors and leaders and just to see your hunger in this house amen and let me ask you is anybody here if this is your first session if you weren't able to join us last night and this is your first session for living to love just us you know that's probably where so many were introduced to dan's ministry was through a little thing called youtube right and and just it's awesome just to see what god is doing throughout the world through the power of technology and through media and we're gonna go ahead we're gonna receive an offering this morning just really want to be a blessing of course today and the dan doesn't ask anything of course and honestly you know he would go preach all around the world for free and he does a lot of places but but we also we want to help to send him some places to some places that may also well hallelujah we'll just say that we how many of you think god that you're blessed to be a blessing amen and you can't go wrong and giving amen and during worship you know I always you know I I never tried to come up with an offering message or something like that just like just like what anything we say I always want to hear the Lord because you know it's precious to him amen you know that was why he set by the Treasury and watch from the two Mina's were given was it wasn't just what people gave but it was the why behind their what amen and and we were in worship and I just kept hearing love does not seek its love doesn't seek its own and see how many of you remember John 3:16 of course the verse that so many are familiar with probably the most popular verse throughout the whole Bible in terms of the world's understanding and what they have knowledge of is that God so loved the world that He gave amen and so our love for the Lord our love for others oftentimes is expressed through sincere generosity and recognizing that when that that when we love big we can give generously recognizing that whatever God can move through us he'll bring to us amen and as I was praying about that but Lord just put on my heart first Corinthians 13 and I love first Corinthians 13 because it talks about not just what is done but also why we do it because how many you know you can do the right thing from the wrong heart and it still not be right amen and but we could also do the right thing or the odd thing from a god heart and it released heaven in the earth amen and so I want to read this to you from the passion translation is anybody familiar the passion translation great friend of ours Brian Simmons of course he's going to be with us again in August but this was a translation that he and his team worked on and it just it I just love how they how they phrased this and translate it first Corinthians 13 certain verse one he said if I were to speak with the eloquence and Earth's many languages and in the heavenly tongues of angels yet I didn't express myself with love my words would be reduced to the hollow sound of nothing more than a clanging cymbal and if I were to have the gift of prophecy with profound understanding of God's hidden secrets and if I possessed unending supernatural knowledge and if I had the greatest gift of faith that could move mountains but haven't have never learned to love than I am nothing and it's interesting Paul is highlighting a lot of the things that most Christians pursue and in fact it's you know several of kind of your modern-day Christian camps have already been identified it goes on in verse three he says and if I were to be so generous as to give away everything I own to feed the poor and to offer my body to be burned as a martyr without the pure motive of love I would gain nothing about you in other words he's saying I could I could do all of these things and if love and my heart is not the why behind my what it really doesn't produce his fruit in my life in the lives of those around me and then he begins to describe it you know and of course we know first John 4:8 says God is love and we're created in the image of God amen and so when we read about what love is in terms of love being patient love being kind we can recognize that God is patient that God is kind and that is the same image as we begin to read the description of love that's not this is the description of love it's also the description of God and it's the description of what were called to look like as we begin to surrender to his image being expressed in and through our life and so one of things I like to do when I read this I like to put my name in because I like to also kind of see where I am and where I need to go okay but for the sake of this we'll just go ahead and keep it as love but you can go back and put your name in of course you know some people in it might not want to start in verse four jason is large and incredibly patient how to Lou you know as large as I once was but a little less large laying aside every weight and sin but God is large God is large you know he's not up there in heaven just rationing us a part of himself over here and a part of a sub over here he gives the whole enchilada to anyone who asks amen I just felt the pull for Mexican over here in this corner I can some folks are already ready for their chips and dip hallelujah we have some great Mexican here in Irondale by the way love his large and incredibly patient love is gentle and consistently kind to all this is describing who were called to be who we are who we are it's not just who are called to because that's a future tense this is who we are and as we see ourselves as he is we'll become like him in the earth it refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else love does not traffic in shame and disrespect nor selfishly seek its own honor love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense what if we put our name in there that's omit that think that would change a lot in the body of Christ wouldn't it love you we he joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight and what is wrong that means love never rejoices when someone else has failed is when someone else fails love never thinks that it looks better when somebody else looks worse love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight on what is wrong love is a safe place of shelter for it verse stops believing the best for others that means when someone's at their worst not seeing who they are and and living beneath who God created them to be you don't see them for what they've done you see them through what he's what he did for them you never allow your perspective of them to come down to the level that they're currently operating in but you always see them through the lens of who God created them to be and you call them up into that place and you treat them in that place and you begin to invest trust and honor some people say can I trust this Buuren no I think Trust is a choice and it's an investment because whenever I don't win it whenever whenever you try to withhold trust and you say listen you've got to earn this before I give it you're actually creating an expectation where that person will fail you but Trust is a choice that's why says lean not on your own understanding but acknowledge him and all your ways trust him with all your heart Trust is a choice and when we invest trust whether it be in the Lord ER and others oftentimes you'll see that people will come up to the level of trust that you've established in your relationship love is a safe place of shelter for it never stops believing the best for others love never takes failure as defeat for it never gives and then the first part of verse 8 says love never stops loving amen and so again this morning we just want to give you an opportunity just to respond in love to respond to the Lord in love just just you know again you know as we as we as we shared earlier you know God said love that he gave and just as an expression of worship and expression of thanks an expression of honor yes to be a blessing but even more just to say thank you Lord to recognize the love that he has for us and to in turn turn that into worship amen so if you want to make out checks you can make them out to Kingsway Church of God I just thank you Lord that love does not seek its own and so the Lord I thank you for the beauty of being blessed to be a blessing to those around us Lord that in any way Lord our love or our life has been limited through the lens of self-preservation Lord that you would you would you would just begin to break off those shackles and calls us to see the honor of laying down our life and living where I'm where I was I'm letting go I'm forgetting those things which are behind and I'm reaching forward you see you can't hold on and reach forward you'll pull something he said I'm gonna let go and I lay hold to grab a hold of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus the prize for which I was called the prize for which I was created everybody put you put your hand on your head say god I thank you that you're taking me on a journey from my head to my heart from knowledge to knowing that I could be growing into the likeness of Jesus in every aspect and every facet of my life in Jesus name [Music] you know you guys will look a whole lot more like Jesus you do I'm telling you I look out of you and I'm seeing a whole lot of him amen hey can you do me a favor and can we just join together in just welcoming honoring and thanking the Lord for sending Dan this morning come on come on that's just LOI thank you and we bless you and we honor you we love you is this a good morning or what we came out of the room I was thinking in my mind I didn't maybe I wasn't in all that much faith this morning I don't know I'm thinking three services ten two and seven I thought who's really going to show up at the 10 o'clock I mean it'd be easy to just hang out and get some things done at home and maybe catch the later service and we came out through the door up there and I heard all the rumbling down here and just that good healthy buzz in the room and I peeked over and I said people okay 10 o'clock do they be doing a lot of the things and they're here I said that just blesses and impresses me is this amazing or what this morning this is these were some guys in the team right and the songs because they're singing songs from their heart right there not just musical they're not just talented they're Jesus lovers it's obvious it just brings you into a place and the content of what you guys are singing and then just sitting up here I love Jason so I'm just sitting here getting a kick out of him because he just blesses you blessed me like he keeps his heart I leaned over to his son I said daddy's really fired up right now he said yeah yeah I said you know he keeps his heart excited he just keeps his heart thinking on good things meditating and thinking it's staying thankful yeah I mean when you listen to the phrases like we're singing letting go and this isn't about trying harder this isn't about just trying to do better and being better this is about becoming something [Music] there's a letting that when you letting go you're what our teaching on love did you like the what you read off the board and the translation stuff don't get freaked out by translations Louis when you read what it's saying it's saying the same thing if you read in your Bible in your King James it's it's just expounded on it's like a teaching in the translation but when you're reading that and you're looking this is what I noticed when I got saved that everything he's saying and calling me to him created me for is the total opposite of what I believed what I was groomed in and what I became growing up and that's the biggest thing that hit my heart when I got saved because see I didn't get saved to go to heaven I didn't get saved to escape hell I didn't get saved to go to heaven I didn't get saved to escape hell I got saved to become what he created me to be and to become what he paid for I got saved for his namesake to be close to him to be what it is that he designed me to be I didn't get saved for me come on it's just a total everything about the gospel is a ship he says stuff like unless you love less and then he rips off the most intimate list of your life unless you love less your mother your father your spouse your children your houses your land and yes even your own life you by no means be my disciple means you by no means fulfill what I created you for and be a wholehearted following a discipline learner unless you love less this most important list in your life and seek me first and seek first the kingdom ah there's no way that you'll fulfill what I created you for unless you learn to love that list less now isn't that amazing that a lot of people are Christians for the well-being of that list that doesn't mean you don't believe for protection that doesn't mean you don't pray over them that does mean but what what I'm saying is our motive in Christianity so many times it's self beneficial and preservation and and and we find a reason to not be encouraged to be mad at God to have so many questions that he's in question and it's amazing that our motives can get so shifted around that what he calls us to is always the opposite of what we tend to believe or motivated by and it's not an accident because we were trained by a lie we were trained by self-centered thinking we were trained by the fall of man we were home schooled in the wrong home the knowledge you grew up with is not the knowledge of the Lord the way that seemeth right to a man taught every one of us in this room and the trouble is it seems right but the bigger trouble is it never produces life if it just gives you a right it's probably not real wisdom if it gives you a right to be less than who he is if it just gives you a right to be right blame shift justification self-defense self-preservation justification cat in the corner never good but it came natural to every one of us in this room so when talk something with you today of just a little intimate because these songs get to me these guys they tell me what I'm gonna preach when they're singing I'm like what I was you know how are they just things explode you're what you're looking you're listening you're looking around people out there and you're you just get them from it's just how I said without communion there's unfulfillment without full communion I mean you just look at how that's life that's that's a language that he spoke to me 22 years ago Galatians says this that in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything it's a new creation a new creation none of us incorporated Jesus into our life even if we think we did it doesn't work that way he becomes your life you become one with him who he is becomes who you are nothing avails anything circumcision or uncircumcision of your flesh the works of your flesh it's not your doing it's your being yeah I know good-hearted people that try harder they try not to sin bad idea what do you mean bad idea you try not to sin you're just gonna be sin conscious you're always gonna take your own tests you're gonna grade your own tests you're probably gonna come up short you'll probably fail you'll probably be hard on yourself you probably won't even show yourself much mercy and you'll call it diligence or something and you live semi condemned to put a veil over your face and probably won't be intimate with God because you won't see yourself the way he does so you won't even feel like you can draw close to him because you've already weighed yourself it sounds strange especially to an old school mentality like if you just wake up and try to live acceptable you'll come I'm gonna come under condemnation you have to wake up and be accepted you'll never live by grace if you're trying to live acceptable if you're just trying harder if you're trying not to sin the gospel changes all that see that makes sense to man that seems right on the surface that sounds like diligence and that sounds like but what it produces proves that it's not wisdom I've never seen anybody wake up and try not the sin and do well and be real close to Jesus ever I've never met one you wake up and understand that you're washed and forgiven and cleansed and accepted and loved if you wake up and focus on being his he won't have to try not to sin you'll be too busy being his the Bible says if I put on righteousness and present my members unto righteousness that means standing right in the sight of God right in the sight of God you wake up right because the blood speaking better things see there's a difference between rightness and righteousness rightness makes you wrong righteousness makes wrong things right it's different if God came and judged the earth and rightness were wrong but he rules his kingdom with the scepter of righteousness and he makes things that were wrong he makes them right so you've done nothing right maybe up until you get born again in your life really you've just bad attitude self-centered motives and even when you did good things on the surface it had self intention almost all the time it was what you've got out of it and the feeling of the affirmation and the people when they said oh you shouldn't have and you go oh yeah cuz you feel good about yourself because a lot of times you don't so even in your giving it was self intended or whole lives we give a gift to somebody and they don't like it and you cry you gave them the gift they don't like the gift and you cry and say I can't believe you don't like that color I thought you loved that color why are you crying because they don't like your gift if you got it for them no you got it for you you got it to feel good when they don't over you I can't believe you don't like that color I wanted to push you she won't stop you were trying to bless yourself when they said oh you shouldn't have you were the best friend ever you were so kind and so flop when you that's twisted and messy that's as goofy as I just looked so don't do it look if you got it for them you'd say oh my goodness I thought you loved that color oh no I that's a misunderstanding this is not my color at all what is your color cuz I got the receipt I'll take it back I'll get you what you love my intent was to bless you thanks for being honest I'm glad you didn't just say you liked it to make me feel good see we've lived in that world guys our whole life it's an side Kingdom its self centered its self-preserving its led so we got to understand that we were homeschooled in the wrong home there's a there's a transition to Ted there's a renewing of the mind there's a not conform to the world transom that doesn't mean robbery adultery murder of course that's on the list don't be conformed to the world as its ideas its motive its perspective its reasons reason for being you wake up and you have a reason for being in Christ before that you you were maybe existing or wondering what your purpose was or does my life even matter does anybody care be honest we would train this stuff no no we it was just came but your instinct it was by living separate from him and then you get these hardcore people alike when you need to straighten up and you need to live worthy and you need to this and this and people come under bondage that's why I don't use hell as a motivation to get people into the kingdom because because if you scare men they can get scared out whatever people that come with the motivation of not going to hell live under condemnation they they live dutifully they live obligatory towards the Lord it's unscripted trol to bring people into the kingdom that way it's not scriptural it's the goodness of God that leads men to repentance if you don't have relationship with him you'll get reduced to serving him and doing things for his name and then you always question if you're doing enough and you'll never be free you be Works driven and you'll feel proud in the long run if you do extra and you'll need a firm for it and acknowledge for it when you stand before God you might even want a trophy or something or a super Christian cape I don't know it's not good when you look at what a produces man the stuff that I grew up with as a kid some of you guys with it are my age that grew up there was hardcore preaching out there and it was it was tightrope duty works legalism stuff everywhere or just you're a sinner you ought to be glad he died you're getting in by the skin of your teeth you better make sure you stay in church cuz he's coming someday and you better be in church and remember the buckets I mean that's really the concept I had and I all face so does anybody relate to this like you went to church when you were young if you're my age and it was Jesus died on the cross because I'm a sinner and one day he's gonna let me in heaven because he died and I better show my thanks by staying in church so in other words I owed the Lord and then preacher said he gave his life don't you think it's time to give yours and it sounds catchy sounds motivating but it produces obligatory service dutiful hearts you're always in debt the debts been paid he brought the mountain down in the valley up we're on a fare smooth playing ground we've all been blessed by the mercy of God for the righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ invited to intimacy and fellowship and communion with only Spirit that sounds better so I wake up clean I wake up forgiven I wake up righteous I make up his I'm not trying to be his I am his I see that a high priest Jesus has come through the heavens he's the son of God and I composed Li not arrogantly not presumptuously just full of confidence that God so loved me man see that message in books relationship the other message invokes service and you always owe something and the depths never paid there's no relationship there if you live that way and your family will be all blown up and you'd need counsel why do we preach the gospel that way if we're a family I mean to see the best father ever who would say God is the best father ever that you would just know that has to be true does he need a parenting program does he need curriculum then why isn't everybody running to sit on his lap if he's the best because in our heart we all know he's the best but there's wrong views of him misrepresentation of him he's been botched all up some in us a lack of sense of belonging just condemnation either wonder if it's not a father issue wonder if he's the greatest father what if it's not always a father see we put a lot of pressure on the man it's a father thing when the fathers rise up dad and I were God or when the father's when the father isn't I don't know he's the best father not everybody's running to sit on his lap I think it's when sons and daughters rise up because the father's in place so I don't think it's a father issue I think it's a lack of sonship a lack of sense of belonging when he unstirred gets in rebellion they lose sight of family maybe family's never been laid in their home as a foundation maybe the essence of family has never been totally understood maybe the parents even struggle with that but isn't it all about families in two part everybody doing their part in the surrender of love toward one another being mean don't get condemn when I say that if that's going on your home it's twisted up perversion just means twisted it's backwards we were taught backwards the goal of our instruction is love and love doesn't seek its own you and I've been seeking her own from the time we could breathe Jesus said to give that up that's the problem so Christianity number one is given that up you'll never fulfill what you're called and created to be if you don't give that up ever it's not about making heaven it's about giving that up and then heaven comes into you and you become one with him you're not waiting for a day when the trumpet blows and your names on the list Oh out of here baby so overwhelmed by life so hurt by people that you're just praying for his return and rendered unproductive and disqualified in the race just self-preservation just get me out of here Lord can't take it anymore world's going to hell it's darker than ever why don't you come read your Bible he doesn't come because he's waiting for you to shine your light so people change just think how selfish that is just praying for him to come back just come back just rescue me out of this rat hole so heaven with me I prayed the prayer Lord I said that prayer to heaven with me I prayed to hell with everybody else I'm tired that's not cool you know what that's a sign of and I'm not being me just can I be real it's just a sign of not knowing him all those things reveal we don't know him because he's not like that for God so aren't you glad it doesn't say for God was so antagonize frustrated and at wit's end with humanity that he finally pulled out the ace in the hole and went for broke in sin aside because then we'd have to preach legalism the reason we don't preach legalism is because God so loved the reason I don't have to do anything to be anything it's what got Paul beat over and over and over because in a legalistic doing society he preached man is saved by grace and they stoned him for it and yet it's the gospel Jesus the very essence and foundation and living truth himself was from the beginning is speaking and they can hear truth they only hear lives and they crucify him Paul preaches grace and they stone him you know what you got today you got people preaching grace that Paul wasn't preaching you have people preaching grace that's enablement that allows people to just sin and say oh well the grace of God covers me it's all works anyway God knows we're sin in God knows we're sinners he knew our state before you just go have at it man just God's good that's twist sent a camp that is tighter listens that panics and tightens tighter I talked about last night the pendulum here's how you can identify the perversion of grace out there because here's what happens well-known people and popular people and I've read some of the things they feel like they have to step in and steer the body of Christ so they kind of speak out a turn because they they put a warrant on Grace they label grace movement be careful the grace movement rather than just say listen there's people preaching grace out of context instead we call it a movement the grace movement the grace revolution so they titled it this way so when a new believer or a believer that listens that message hears a preacher mentioned grace red-flag automatically goes up and they're actually teaching people to not even be able to hear the word because it won't that's when I'm Grace guys and then they name some and list a few that's one of them grace guys when you're saved by grace when you are what you are by the grace of God when you beheld him in grace and truth and he gave grace for grace it sounds like it's always been grace don't get grace and mercy mixed up they're two different things mercy gives you hope when you have none mercy gets you up when you can't mercy lets you in when every door seems locked mercy says you can when you can Mercy is amazing and it triumphs over judgment it shows you forgiveness when you think you're unforgivable mercy is amazing grace is an etching tool it's the sculpting tool of God grace is God's empowerment God's willingness to use his power and ability on your behalf to help mold you and shape you into what you're created to be and what you could never be on your own grace is God's power in your life to transform you we have to preach grace we're not preaching grace is a permission to sin and get away with it we're preaching grace for transformation to become more like him so if somebody's preaching grace apart from transformation it's out of bounds and if people aren't preaching grace and preaching transformation their preaching works and it's outta balance you'd be amazed how far desire can take you the pure in heart shall see God and that's what I want to talk about a little bit today I want to talk about how simple it is to be transformed not frustrating and not a long process that stretches people because people that well I'm processing brother and 10 years later they got some of the same things and like well he's doing a work in me now 18 years in they've learned the language called Christianese but they haven't become more like you well it takes a while brother he's working it's not missing the chisel you get a yield and adapt yourself to him you got it it's just like a marriage the Bible says husband's love your wives that's what it says and then it says wives you just submit to your own husband's as on the Lord and it's amazing how that's been hammered and preached and and your wives have become the servants of the men it's just crazy wives submit your own husband's as unto the Lord and that's the only thing he says to the wife and then the rest of the chapters to the husband what is the love your wife's tells you a washer a nurturer with the water of the word and love her just like Christ let's turn the whole things to the husband and we take the word submit and turn it into slavery the word cement break it down look at it it means yield and adapt yourself to your own husband as you would to the Lord you know how how you reading your Bible ladies and you love the Lord and you reading your Bible and you see some of the Bible's calling you to the words calling you to and you get a conviction in your heart and you go oh wow and and and and in your heart right now you have this desire but the Bible is calling you here so you make adjustments you pray you weep a little and you begin to position yourself for change you position yourself to love him to yield to him to become more like him right it's the same thing in your marriage you get married and preferences get different sometimes you don't have straight-up agreement on every detail why do you have a feud cuz you don't have agreement love's supposed to be greater love love doesn't mean you agree on everything love means I love you so that word submit just means yield and adapt yourself yield and adapt yourself to your own husband so you're married in times unfolding and you recognize something in him you see something a little bit in his expression his nature is demeanor and rather than let it get into you under your skin become a little quirk something you talk about with your girlfriend and let it get a little deeper in you and more of a stronghold and now you despise it all the more next thing notes all you can see and yet you married him and actually your husband's a great guy but that's all you can see well it just bothers me that just irritates me that gets under my skin see Christianity is getting the new skin it's not him changing its you seeing different because God's not irritated and sometimes we let little things get big and it becomes the screen we live through and now that's all you can see unresolved conflicts coming that I don't know how I got on all this I unresolved conflicts come that way you just don't settle things and you take inward hurt you just get a little belief that you haven't communicated you go to bed on it you wake up seems like a new day now they're morning but yet that unresolved things still there next thing you know it slowly puts a screen in front of your eye six months later you fall apart because you've been believe in that thing for six months even though you haven't talked about it and even thought strong about it it just becomes belief thing and next thing you know you know how we got here and I don't even know what's wrong and I don't even know why I feel this way about you it's crazy how that stuff works so yield and adapt yourself so we do that to the Lord will yield their adapt ourselves to him we were clay he's the Potter the clay doesn't make it self into anything the clay will always be clay unless it's placed in the hand of the Potter if you study out clay and the Potter it's a neat teaching if you're into them kind of teachings it's it's just neat the Potter if the if the clay is not pliable if it's not moist enough if it's not in the right condition where would that come in with you just yield and truly yield it's sincere come on sincere let me tell you what qualifies sincerity when you take your convictions and get alone with God take a walk shut a door shut everything down till you get a hold of your conviction before the Lord so he gets a hold of you that's sincere it's one thing to get convicted it's another thing to follow through with it and act out on it put yourself in a place where it's just you and him and say you know what I believe you see me this way I believe you made me for this Lord I haven't been walking in this I haven't even felt this desire in my heart but I realize you've called me to this and I'm yielding you and I'm asking you Holy Spirit just begin to empower me and stir my heart and steer me into this place because I see this is what you've created me for God I just renounced this and I let it go and Lord it's not that I'm biting my lip trying not to do it anymore I don't believe it's what I'm called to be and I don't believe it's what I want to be anymore I'm convicted you have my attention there's change in my life you talk like that to God stay very answer conscious now I can't believe I did that God would you please forgive me god I'm such a mess up father when are you gonna change this old wretched heart you will never be changed talking like that that's how people pray they get in a room and they get self-conscious and they proud all their problems and all their sins and all their bad stuff and we call that confession I call it a messed up identity and you'll leave the room worse off than when you went in you'll be more aware and focused on what's wrong with you than what he makes right wonder if you know something's wrong in your life and you get convicted and you say man I got to deal with this and you're walking you're and wind it be amazing to walk in humbly and God sees your heart and the fact that you're there and you just closed the door Lord I'm done being in denial I've been letting this thing rake my conscience for three weeks now and I haven't even talked to you about it thanks for forgiving me thanks for letting me soon when you asked him to forgive you you always wonder if you're forgiven that's how people get it's strange your language just changing your view is so simple thank you for forgiving me because you are confessing it you are taking response for forgiving me man if I confess my sins you're faithful and just to forgive me and cleanse me of all I thank you that God I'm not standing here dirty I'm not filthy I'm not disgusting to you you pulled me out of darkness you brought me into the light you are the one that's washing me and making me clean and maturing me through all this stuff into the man you've called me to be God I am done denying what's going on in my conscience that is nothing to do with what I'm created for nothing to do with I'm called to I give up the right to believe that to feel that way I'm done holding them so accountable god I want to see them through your eyes and I yield myself to you and I thank you for the work you're doing in my life Holy Spirit I welcome you and thank you for being a friend to me and leading me in truth it you're either out of your mind and need to go play tennis or get a hobby or gobs in the room and he's gonna change you yeah so you say I am sincere when you're sincere sincerity puts you in that place sincerity has a fruit to it you can procrastinate you can say the right things that never position yourself for them and then you live with a convicted conscience or violated conscience for long enough you slowly get condemned if all you do is just read your Bible and just read your Bible and just read your Bible and don't get along with him and apply your conviction to where you're getting through the Bible the relationship so his grace can make you what you're reading you'll get so full of the knowledge of God without the revelation of God in your life that the word will turn on you and judge you even though he's not judging you you have so much knowledge and you'll start weighing your knowledge against your life and you'll get condemned and you'll take your own tests and be your own judge and you decide how valuable you are and you decide how good you're doing you you're not the teacher and the student you don't take the test and then judge the score you wake up and enjoy being his I've watched the word because the books alive yeah and if you don't grow in relationship with the understanding the grace this works thing this legalistic thing this judgmental thing will come in and the knowledge of the word will turn you'll you'll let it shift and judge where you're not instead of inspire where you're called does that make sense and then you'll say stuff like this way that seemeth right to a man seemeth right seemeth right you'll think it's humility you'll think it's penance or something well you know I'm bringing this on myself I should know better I mean there's no repentance in that there's judgment then you say I'm getting what I deserve and should've dealt with this months ago okay how is that going to redeem the situation and how are you gonna leave the day feeling any clearer about yourself in Christ than before because that's the goal to see yourself in him to see yourself the way he sees you I'm just giving some little practical general examples trying to help I just know that this thing right here it's never just quiet musing and meditating constantly you know I've been sharing this lately it's been on my heart to amplify and clarify this a high IQ intellect is a gift to having a high IQ doesn't need it to mean it's a curse and you're seeing electro I think that's cool if you have a high end of life analytical it's not a gift analytical is never the Lord I'll explain it though I feel that a little bit people say well I'm just analytical stop boasting it's not a gift people say well God gave us the ability to reason not in analytical thinking analytical I used it yesterday I'll just use it because it's a Jesus example analytical carrying the cross analytical you know I guess it'll change I mean they don't seem like they'll change I hope they change I know if I be lifted up I'll draw all men unto me I don't know it just bothers me I can't believe that that far-gone like how far are they I mean Barabbas over me that's startling I mean he's total contrast he is killing men I'm raising the dead and now they want to kill me and let him go and prefer him and send a message to Pilate that they'd rather have him in their community than me what have I done wrong I've done nothing but good I say analytical you start weighing all the facts and you're out you're coming up with justification for your actions you're coming up with hurt and pain you're coming up with rightness here's here's the first sign of analytical in the Bible it's all yours I want you to tend it and work it and keep it and of every tree in that garden you can eat except for that tree right there the tree of the knowledge good needle the day you eat that tree yesterday you surely die be blessed a little while later a voice has God really said not to eat the fruit of the tree oh yes God said not to ever eat the fruit of that tree eat it or touch it for the day we eat it or touch it is the day oh you're not going to die look God just knows that when you eat that tree you'll be enlightened you'll be just like Oh here's my main point here's what analytical thinking does it empowers you to talk yourself out of him to talk yourself out of worthy to talk yourself out of love it makes simple things complicated God loves you I don't know how he can love me loves you oh yeah but I have a hard time believing he can love me after all that I mean I knew for years I've been in church and I went against and loves you how can you be so sure brother cuz Christ is hanging on that tree love you here's what he's not saying take a good look at me people I hope you're satisfied now look what your sin has done to me don't you think it's time to change and turn and repent and come back to the Father hope you get the message guys time for change it's never the cross don't you ever preach the gospel that way here's the cross I love you I know who you are I've known you from the beginning I know why you're here I know your purpose I know your potential your lives have great value to me it's why the pot fathers please to let this happen to me so then my dying you can live in my raising you could be justified then we could get the lie off of you and put the truth back into you you're worth every penny of this sacrifice you're worth to us nobody buys what they don't think has the value they're paying for your life is worth my blood your life is worth my life come to me and live that's the cross it's the goodness no preacher in my life ever told me that he hung on the cross because of my value they all told me he hung on the cross because of my sin oh he had to die because I send I get that but that's not a play on words of course he had to die because I sin but he didn't die because I'm a sinner he died because I was a lost son he died because my created value was subverted and covered over by sin and selfishness had taken over love and my purpose and reason for being got shaded and clouded and I went from being in the image of God to a form and back to the clay so Jesus does what he does raise us from the dead and life breeze back into man and now we have the garden again the trees still there and the voice is still whispering follow him and the blood is speaking better things Paul says what should we do sin because wonder grace and not the law certainly not God forbid right it's so powerful why do I preach this way all the time because nobody loves God first unless they see his first love you be honest with me growing up as a youngster how many felt more indebted towards God than in love with God how many watched a crucifixion movie and thought wow preacher said my sin did that to him he really took a beatin I'm not sure living much for him and I don't feel like I can change and you felt guilty watching that stuff and even though your heart moved and you believed in him you didn't know how to change and you never fully felt real close to him you never felt like this growing up most of us who relates to what I'm saying and yet and I quit going to church that was my choice 18 years old just stopped going saw some dysfunction in a leader and and it's awesome messing around and judged it and said well this is the cross and this is Christian this is Christianity and the gospel I don't want none to do no it's not that's the weakness and fallacies of men it doesn't change God but it's amazing how we look at people representing God or speaking God as the image of God so then we look at their image and get it yeah so by the age of twenty I didn't want nothing to do with Church so for 13 long years I didn't go nowhere dark sad time and Jesus showed up at work one day just walked you spoke to my heart and I thought it was my mind me forever yay I'm just so glad I'll take that why'd he do that because he loved me and where sin abounded grace abounded much more so he called me out of darkness and brought me into the light seemed like I had a debt I could never pay seemed like I owed him more than I could give so he said I'll tell you what I'll give and I'll put everything you are on my son so everything in my son can come back into you and I'll just do this great exchange the innocent for the guilty and you'll go free and I go well you're amazing yeah I love you this amazing love for you is stirring in my heart you make me love you yeah that's the point that I've loved you from the beginning I want to restore what we had from the beginning Lord I really really love you yeah I know it's cuz I loved you from the beginning I love you that sure beats serving the Lord let your Christian service take the place of knowing him letting the ministry you serve in take the place of knowing him as servant in the ministry won't change your disposition knowing him will servant in the ministry won't change your motives no and him will you could serve in a ministry start feeling like people oh yeah you could serve in ministry and be indignant towards people and still have preferences and be biased you could serve in the ministry for affirmation and then when they don't give it you can get hurt and go serve in another ministry and carry that work with you and after four ministries you're hurt and mess and you don't need an order call you don't need ministry at the order you need to change your mind and you need to change your heart ain't enough prayer on the planet it ain't about prayer it's about truth it's about truth it's not always about prayer I need prayer know you might need truth I never read a scripture that said ministry makes you free but I did read ascriptions it said truth well wonder if you just need to believe a little different what if you needed to see a little different because your eye is the lamp of your body and if you see clearer you'll be clearer it says if you don't see clear you won't be clear and if you don't see clear just how clear won't you be that's my paraphrase it goes like this the eye is the lamp of your body and if your eye is single your whole body is flooded with light if your eyes not single darkness encroaches and if the light in you see what you're created for if the light in you is darkness just how great is the darkness it means how twisted is your view so if what you're believing is producing darkness it cannot be truth if what you're thinking and believing isn't producing life and exciting your heart moving you forward in God you're believing a lie he came to give you life and life more abundantly yeah but brother you don't understand my situation no stop you're raising your situation above what I'm preaching so you can hear what I'm preaching you're making your situation matter more than the truth that wants to rescue you out of that life why do your circumstances have to change for you to change why does your trouble have to go Jesus did not put out the fire fourth man in the furnace Nebuchadnezzar fires Shadrach Meshach Abednego Jesus did not bring Myriad's of angels with holy water and douse the fire the fire kept raging to put out the fires to honor it to say it's a threat to them the fires not the problem it's wrong believing it's getting your eyes on something that doesn't matter most it's worshiping something that's not the Lord whether it's your own life whether it's your own person whether it's your own well-being that can all be idolatry the only way you overcome is to love not your own life under death so the thing that's a problem is not the fire it's never the fire never the fire most of us are praying that there's no fire because we're afraid of fire just this message freaks people out sometimes they need what are you doing prophesying trials no the Bible says the wise man has gone through the same storm as the foolish it's not because he opened a door it's cuz he heard the word and Satan comes for the words sake not your sake being afraid of you at all he's afraid of the word the reason you become a focal point is because the word was put into you and now you can be something that he's very threatened by he and after you you don't take him personally you take the gospel person and become what God paid for you take no account of these things it's not about you going through hardship it's about you becoming the person he created for you to be and standing strong it flips me out that story that story flips me out with a fire Nebuchadnezzar because the King gave it decree to make it seven times hotter well that's that's symbolic in New Testament faith of you and I just pray and believe in for something we take our faith stand that's what they did they took their faith stand and they wouldn't out of the King he said all fine okay hotshots well then we'll just crank up the fire seven times more that's like you getting a diagnosis of cancer and and you you you get revved up you start crying a little but you grab the word and you're doing the best you can and you come to church and we all gather and everybody anoint you with oil and the music's playing and Jeff is just nailing it and it just feels so amazing and you're like God was there and you get your next test and the numbers are just a little higher that's where you find out what you believe anybody can pray when they have a problem and anybody can reduce this book to principles we're applying hoping to get help but when those numbers get a little higher you find out what you believe you find out if your motive is life or death or the kingdom of God are you trying to survive are you going to stand and believe is the motivation to your prayers the fear of death or the promise of life is it sentiment and family and seeing so-and-so get married in migraine that's we go sentimental all the time I see it all the time and then we get confused and wonder where the fruit and the results of our prayers are you seek ye first the kingdom of God in fact the only reason I want to live I love my granddaughter but the reason I want to live is not to just watch her grow up that's sentimental that'll get cut down like an axe to a tree the number one reason is the kingdom of God because only in that motive will I have the best with her anyway and my love will always be love and it'll never be self-centered it'll never be her loving me it'll be me loving her that's healthy that do you love me is twisted because you're saying I love you for me I love you for how you make me feel I love you for the stability you bring I just love you you just mean everything to me I don't know what I'd do without you there's only one that deserves that there's only one that truly fits that it's not a Hollywood movie love it's not a starry-eyed moment it's not a feeling in a rush of emotion it's a surrendered life for the sake of another love is a surrendered life for the sake of another and we're called to love the GOL for instructions love so if I'm walking in love and I'm a surrendered life for the sake of another where's the fence where's a fence where's frustration where's discouragement have a place to land all of a sudden that loses its voice and its reality goes out the window because I'm not in the world or I'm in the world but I'm not of the world so it's not those things aren't alive where I live are you following me they're not in the kingdom your will be done on as it is in so we grasped that where the power gods - okay no cancer in heaven no cancer on the earth and he musters up faith to pray and it's true it's scriptural it's good I'm not putting that down but why is it always the power of God why is your will be done on earth as it is in heaven always have to do with miracles in the power of God why isn't it more the heart of God the nature of God and the person of God your will be done there's no animosity in heaven there's no unforgiveness Zera mercy rules and reigns your will be done on earth as he is he is loved he is loved he is love in this love is perfected we have boldness in the Day of Judgment because as he is so are in the world love is the goal if we miss love we missed the point of why he came he didn't come to fill your baskets and your barns he came to fill your heart with the fullness of who he is and above all these things know the love of Christ which passes knowledge know the love of Christ which passes knowledge is to be filled with all the fullness of God the word means a house with no empty rooms you have a No Vacancy side over you your fully and completely occupied your a ship so full of cargo there's no space to lay another box you are his and you are complete and you were fulfilled I found my life in him my identity in him and my destiny in him my eyes are fixed on him now I'm ready to live my life and love the world come on that's Christianity I'm gonna be straight anything less isn't so let's grow into this truth and become this truth and give our hearts to this truth that's not condemning when I say anything else isn't what I mean is it will not fulfill what he paid for and you know how loving God is you buy a car and it don't run the way it should you take it right back to the dealer if you don't run right again and again now it's a lemon and there's laws now you got a lemon you're never eleven in the sight of God come on as a consumer if you buy a shirt then you buy a shirt and you go to button that shirt and there's a little slit right outside the seam on the material and it can't even be mended some of us will just sew it up but the lavas will say look it was new it must be weak it's probably going to tear of the place you take it back and you want what it's worth and people get heated over that stuff wonderful God walked into your bedroom on the day you missed it and said are you kidding me I killed my son for this you wouldn't even be able to live you couldn't bear that you would melt through the carpet and yet some people preach that way that is not what'll change a man's life could you imagine God doing that he won't he never will why because he's love and he's not an enabler he's a life changer and all of a sudden you don't get what you know you deserve that's designed to Humble you that's designed to get you to lift your eyes up from whence King your help and start being in love I don't love him because I'm supposed to I don't love him because it's the right thing to do he wins your heart you can't make yourself love him you love him because you see who he is and you see how he sees you and all of a sudden the mysteries revealed and it's not I can't believe he loves me how can he love someone like me all of a sudden you realize your value isn't based on the way you've lived your life your value is based on what he created you for you guys good I'm almost done we're gonna quit at 12 we're not gonna land the plane we're just gonna stop we'll jump out with parachutes I don't know how we'll get back in but we're gonna get back in the plane at 2 o'clock because I don't know how to land I've never I know people teach and Bible seminaries try how to land how to end a sermon how to cast a net now I have no idea how to land I have never ever in my whole life heard the control tower say bring it in down I've never heard that I'm still waiting to see if that ever is said to me sometimes they give me headsets this is a nice one you don't even know it's on it's little it's then sometimes they give you one you feel like you're landing an airplane you can see the big ball and the stems as thick as your finger and it would be a great time to just the control tower calling dan I want you to bring it in he's never done that to me he's never told me to land I sometimes I see the runway I could land I think for some reason I just go around it we just circle you say aren't you gonna run out of gas not a chance so we'll just stop here in a minute listen without relationship without coming to him well humbling yourself under his mighty hand how we ever be lifted up with how will your life changed by you trying to change it some of you had in this room had convictions for a long time and you trying to change it hasn't worked it never will you wanting it changed I'm not against a little bit of discipline in your life and buffeting your body like Paul talks about I'm not against that the end result comes by grace you are what you are by the grace of God when you see your life changing here's how it works you're saved by grace through when you look in the word and see what you're called to and created for and you see all these commandments of what God has called you to and you take them as privileges not responsibilities and you go into prayer and you start putting on those things by faith and you start thanking God and agreeing with what you created for agreeing with love and putting off human rights and human reasoning and and and and and just expectations on people God I surrender these things here's how it sounds like when I'm alone father I think you know one ask me anything the whole reason I'm alive is to love and love doesn't seek its own you have crushed the lie of selfishness in my life and you have removed selfishness far from me god I thank you Holy Spirit that you'll lead me in this truth always and if ever I sway over onto this weak side you will cause me to know make me aware immediately cuz you're my friend you're in me and you guide me and lead me in all truth thank you for forming Christ in me thank you for revealing Christ through me god I am so given to you and I am so surrendered to you father I call you father that makes me your son I thank you for loving I just talk like that I'll be driving and just talk like that thanks for fathering me God thank you for just being a friend and a father to me thank you for empowering me to be a friend to you like you are to me and to just live my life by your spirit Holy Spirit you're awesome inside of me I love you so much living in me that sure beats wondering where God is looking in the mirror and going ugh probably oh look at a mirror and say I've done that a handful of times driving I'll be driving and I'm on the Turnpike or traffic and I catch a mirror and I'm looking for cars I'm getting over and I'm finding out where I'm at my GPS is talking to me in attitude she said who is she I said she's inside my GPS she's amazing she's brilliant she knows every road in the planet and she's so nice she's just turned right how anything he said sometimes I go the wrong way just to hear her talk I just this is so awesome she's in my GPS she's in there she's in there and I'll be driving and enough I get figuring out where I'm going and you check your mirror you're looking catch the rearview and every once Wow I have it turn where I'll just see my own eyes oh I see you he loves it when I do that it's not a thing I do it happens everyone so it just happens it's spontaneous but he loves it his presence nunna fests in my little truck you wonder how God can come in there like that and I don't teach feelings and manifestations much but I'll tell you what there's a place for knowing and I'll be like I see you're in there and he's so childlike I'm either totally goofy and out of my mind which some of you might have assessed but he doesn't believe that he believes that I believe him and he likes that I believe he lives in me he likes that I believe he likes me and he likes that I'm allowing that to teach me how to like myself in a healthy way where it's not vanity where actually love who I've become because now I can fulfill the two greatest Commandments I could love him with everything I am because he's loved me with everything he is and I can love my neighbor as myself because I see myself clear how're you gonna love your neighbor as yourself when you don't even like you deep in your heart when you still holding yourself accountable for 10 years ago three years ago a year ago when you're still identifying with what went wrong when you were four and five and six when you went over to the babysitter's and all you see is the trauma and you look in the mirror and all you see is the past years and the questions why God how you going to love your neighbor when that's you and your view of yourself how you gonna love your neighbor as yourself if that's your view of yourself yeah I got the best look at you I've ever had in my life because I see myself in him I know he sees you the same way he did this for all and if he was busy loving me like that he was loving you the whole time too and you say well why was that touch strong I don't know why I was either I don't even think about it I think about being touched right I think about delivered out of darkness delivering made halt I think about new creation not past things I don't question my my dad was an alcoholic and why my mom died of sickness it's not even on my mind what's on my mind is Christ in me the hope of glory and we already won and we're heading we're heading somewhere so let's get in the race and run well and rejoice one day that we all believed in didn't grow weary in well-doing let's all rejoice that we didn't get sentimental and intellectual in the way of the analytical thing I talked about and just reason ourselves into a mess and find a reason to not be like him to find a reason to not be encouraged to come up with a reason and find a couple friends that aren't encouraged and then they become your support system and your sound board and all they can do is sympathize they'll never help you if all they can do is sympathize baring your heart - you're hurting friends it's not helping because all they do is accommodate you in your pain and understand it you call that sensitivity I call it enable ment it's not that I'm not sorry that happened to you but I can't be sentimental with you and say I'm so sorry that happened you I can't believe they did that to you I'll just make you cry harder because it happened now I'd be more in the line of listen I'm sorry people do what they do jesus said forgive them father they don't know what they do if they had a revelation him they didn't ever touched you off they had a revelation you of him they'd have never said that to you if they had a revelation him they'd have never done what they did I think we should be crying for the right now don't cry for yourself listen we don't let what they did decide who you are on what he did is greater and don't become a product of when you've been through when he went through something to identify you I need you to make the shift with me right now look I'm being a friend you don't need me to cry with you you need me to pull you out of the same you are not stereotyped you are not a statistic you are yes now let's get up and live like it yeah that's how I talk to you as your pastor if your spouse just left you I talk to you 20 minutes after you found out your spouse left and you're heaping mess sobbing I would have that conversation with you after I cried with you for 20 or 30 seconds but you won't get more than that if I cried 20 30 seconds you see I care you have enough because I can't force tears but I got pulled myself out of that because I can't just hold you and be sorry they did that I got a look you right in the eyes and say listen this isn't too soon to tell you this you are not the product of what one person did unless their name is Jesus I am sorry made this terrible decision yes there's things we're gonna have to walk through and I know we got to talk about the kids I am sorry they chose this path but don't you let what they did decide who you are and don't you let what they don't see decide what you do see your life is more and what they did you are no less anointed you are no less called and you have no less destiny so now is the time we need faith and now is the time we need to trust God so every song we've ever sang together in church and every message you've ever heard now it's the time to apply these things you don't apply these things so they don't happen you apply these things if they do have them when they happen it's more important to have faith that's how I pastor I know you would pastor that way yeah and you would know I care and I'm not being hardcore cuz I would weep with you while I'm talking to you cuz I so wish they didn't choose that because it's real and it causes ramifications but it doesn't have to mark you and stereotype your life and three years later you're still not the same four years later you're with somebody else and it's not because you're complete it's because you're in need and you can't even do that justice because you're still scarred by this and you're always looking over your shoulder now they're bearing the brunt of your bondage it's amazing how people split and are with somebody's significant immediately I'd rather you be with him in such a way that you get so complete that if you are ever with somebody it's out of the fullness of your life not the vacuum don't you let people try to take the place of what only he can be please be with him please get alone with him please talk to him commune with him letting go putting off things that aren't productive putting off mentalities call him dead expose them stop justifying them if they're not produced in life they're not the Lord if they're not bringing out the best in others they're not the Lord yeah and you put off in prayer and you put on can you help me can you come and play something I don't usually do this but I'll feel this in my god you good that's together as a family make a big forward step in communion with him can we do this as a family it's not an order call you stay right where you're at but Jeff's gonna just play and and touch the keys whatever you whatever you want to flow and play soft air even if it's just keys and music for a while if a song comes to you you know what I totally trust Jesus in you buddy I told I told Jason I said I'm sorry man I said when I leave I'm taking them with me I said I'm gonna give him an offer they can't confuse refuse and he said well then we'll just all go I did Sue's and I said they're coming with me I said I'm sorry and they're gonna come because I'll give him an offer they can't come right with you and he's laughing he said well we'll just all go I just love you guys a lot I remember the first time I met you I was just pouring out my heart and you were just sitting like a little bird and your eyes were full of tears the whole time non-stop and I just saw your heart for him as she recognized when you heard him he made you cry and I never forget it and here we are we've gotten to know each other and I come here I've been here more I don't go places like this there's my fourth time I'd rarely go twice I've been here for I think I love you guys I do I do I love you guys I feel connected here I told you that the first time I said something special relational see I can't have that relationship with people like this in all the cases because people ask me come back it's a good sign if they didn't ask to come back you wonder how the weekend went but usually everywhere I go by Saturday saying you are coming back right when I'm a first time 90% of my calendars first time visits 10% is revisits of my year I do 45 weekends a year don't think that's too much it's actually so easy I go on a Friday I get home on a Sunday night it's amazing I'm out of my bed two nights a week and I get to meet people and poured out Jesus and feel like I've had in back and gets gonna be home with my family Monday through Thursday and then Friday I'm back on a plane and I'd do it all over again [Music] I've really got it made yeah 90% our first visits and and the Lord has been putting it in my heart and important to go back now and then a second time at places and I know it before I leave that I'm to go back if they ask I never asked [Music] but it's rare I do this and I've just like I was to come back every time I felt good in my one time the Lord in my kitchen yeah usually it's just because I want to because I love you guys and I feel like I have grace to come and honestly I like to see Jeff and Susanna I would come just to be in your worship service if I didn't have to be somewhere else I looked over to miss Tina I said I would fly her for this it was so good yeah I mean keep loving him Jeff yeah don't just move in your gift and keep loving him keep letting him be your king and your father amen because every time I'm around you it's it's better and it has a lot to do with this not just your gifting when they heard me preach they heard this message they went off course he didn't want to come because I just did a service in a little garage in Mississippi and he said can I squeal on you he said I was so jaded by things and conference he said I said I ain't going the whole way down there for that if this guy was anybody it was good he wouldn't be in no garage [Music] analytical God took that out of his life that's analytical that's not a gift because it judged something it was presumptuous and he was humble enough to admit it Suzanne sat in on the first session or so and she called him and it was funny because he'll tell you the story she said Jeff you just got to come and he said when she said that all that left and he just knew he was supposed to come and I'll never forget it cuz he showed up it was for Saturday morning I think he showed up Saturday morning first session he was there cuz he came in late and he's sitting there with him and I got to meet him they told me how gifted he was in the keys and stuff so I knew that and I was like wow but I'll never forget it I started sharing and there's Jeff and Suzanne sitting and he's crying in the first five minutes and he said I just never witnessed anybody preach with such conviction and embody what they were saying and they were so real about it it just he said but see that's that's Christ in us that's we can all be that way guys you can carry that conviction in your workplace because you've been with him because you've been with him like it's not gonna happen if you haven't been with him it's not gonna happen because you listen to somebody on YouTube or Salander great teaching on Sundays and Wednesdays it's only gonna become life when you be with him you're saved by grace through faith when you get alone with him and you release faith in his presence faith all alone you actually believe enough to be alone and block out time to just be with him that's where grace comes and meets your faith and watch grace starts making that truth the thing you're seeking grace starts making it your reality and all of a sudden you come out of the room and you don't even realize it you're different you've changed used to think in different process and different respond in different and all the sudden you realize because people said what's happened to you man you're not this man use this and you you didn't try it you just been with him and you didn't break your lip and try not to get angry that means you're angry that means you have it down inside anger management is not the kingdom putting it off it's the kingdom anger management's hypocrisy it means I'm harboring it I'm just not expressing it I'm controlling it I have such discipline oh I feel this way about Jason look when the things not in him you don't want it in you yeah it's not anger management it's put it off deal with your heart he said if you got selfish seeking in yourself seeking in you don't boast and lie against the truth and appear to be something you haven't become deal with get alone with God surrender it tell him you were never created for you I realize you've never created me for me I've prayed for me I've cried for me I've heard for me and a lot of times haven't even liked me god I'm done with this confusing rat race I the best I understand and putting me off in your presence and asking you to help me Holy Spirit to learn what it means to deny myself take up my cross and follow you but I honor you no one has loved me like you loved me no one has forgiven me and then to me what you are to me and I want the beauty of what I see in you to be the beauty of what people see in me transform my life and make me one with you in every way not just spiritually and positionally but tangibly God I give myself to you you can pray that way when nobody's looking and that's what transforms your life wanting to be different will never do it you're just way what you're not doing that right there that right there transforming it reveals your sincerity it marks your faith and it will the spirit and then you are what you are by the grace of God so the more you see yourself changing and more people see you changing the more you cry and say oh my goodness you're so good you're really doing this in me and then don't be afraid you'll get like me don't let that deter you I'm just me you be the best you but what happens is you go oh my goodness or you just go through the biggest thing at work where you know you'd have been a basket case and sudden you realize you didn't even see it that way and didn't even affect you and you're driving home and you realize two months ago how to fell apart and I'd even think about being shook and all the sudden you're in your car weeping wouldn't be great if you have to pull over on the shoulder and just weep because you know he's working in you effectually because you've been with him cuz you've been please don't talk about him please don't just listen to songs about him and fail to be with him please don't just say what he says and not be with him please don't let knowing about him take the place of knowing him because this is eternal life this is eternal life so we're gonna enter in right now to just a little moment I'm gonna just probably just forget you in the room for a second and I want you to forget I'm in the room and I want to help springboard you if you've been struggling if you're struggling at home just getting alone with him if you don't know what to say or you just feel self-conscious get the communion elements just grab the bread in the cup and go in a bedroom and start remembering him just go back to Sunday school and children's church and the things you've learned in your life even in services and and just lift your eyes up to the ceiling and keep them open maybe and just Jesus this represents you but let it be a springboard to communication let the communion elements be a springboard to stir your heart and trigger your language the Lord taught me in a long time ago he said people lack intimacy with me they don't get close to me teach communion as a springboard to intimacy start talking about his body you gave your for me not cuz you were mad at me not because you felt sorry for me because you love me and you knew that what I was living I'm so much more in you thank you for not giving up on me thank you for not judging me thank you for now coming mad just a humble meek loving Savior general and kind but so powerful for lying in the lair that's amazing thanks for what you've done the best I understand I yield my body to you and I give myself to you and I asked you to mold me and shape me into everything you desire thank you for covenant he taketh he just activate your heart take the cup and then you just begin to talk to him and be real just like if we were driving in the car and you're asking questions pastoral questions ministry questions just get along with God just but when you get with him know this he loves you and he wants to father you so father we just come to you in closing right now and we're just gonna open our heart we're gonna say we believe that you love us I'm gonna get personal now I want you to activate faith and even if you just listen a little as an example of what I'm doing and you just start activating your heart and personalize it it's a good step I saw to do this I felt like God wants to springboard us in to intimacy and just have a little corporate time together that inspires us to go be alone with them father I thank you that you love me I thank you that over years of weakness and misunderstanding and reactions to life you never changed your mind about me you never changed your mind about my value you never changed your mind about my destiny you did not rewrite a book out in front of me but instead you wooed me and you drew me and you came to me and you turned my heart to you and I thank you that you're not mad at me I thank you that you forgive me I thank you that you wash me clean of everything that I have ever done I thank you that you're pleased to give me the kingdom you said I should never fear and you called me a little sheep in the flock and never to fear because it's your good pleasure it's not your burden it's not your uncle obligation it's your pleasure to give me the kingdom and I just thank you forgiving me who you are and the way you function and I thank you that the depths of your heart and the depths of your being become the reality of my life I don't want to just serve you I don't just want to do good deeds I don't want to be seen by men as aggressive as a good doer or a do-gooder I want to be seen as yours I want to be seen for your image for your love for your nature and I just think you you're doing a work on me I give you my why I give you my motives I give you my reason for being I turn my mind to the kingdom father I don't want affirmation I don't want I have no expectation on man I I release man man I owe me nothing men don't owe me a thing my own spouse owes me nothing I realize I'm privileged to love her to lay down my life and bring out the best in her and be rain on her life and let her flower bloom I'm here to be like you are to me to her and I yield myself to you she owes me nothing marriage isn't 50/50 and a lot of work marriages I love you Kim and I thank you for the honor of love and the way you love me is the way I want to always love her and I thank you for empowering me the way you love me as your son I want to love my son the way you love me as my son as your son I want to love my daughter god I yield myself to you you're my teacher Jesus I don't want anything else teaching me I see it in your life and I want it in mine and I'm a biggie I searched my heart God searched father I'm a big yes when I go to work I want people to see who you are me without me try and without me striving I don't want to have to yell through a bullhorn I don't want to have to just wear a Christian t-shirt I want them to see through my life so to a work in me I yield to you I thank you Lord you're taking contentions out of me the need to be right out of me I put it all down I lay it down if it's not edifying if it's not profitable I don't want it in my life if it doesn't bring life stir life in part life I don't want it in me I yield to you teach me what it means to be a man of God and let my life have impact let them know you a little more because they've met me let them know you a little more because they worked beside me Holy Spirit empowered me let them know you a little more because they've met me man I want to live everything you paid for and I don't want what the world taught me anymore his wisdom I want a brand new thing a new creation a new mind a new way a new reason thanks for always loving me thanks for being so patient thank you I'm not a step away from breaking your heart and you do nothing but father me my desire is to never miss you and even in weakness you'll make me strong about I am not banking on weakness today the week is saying I am strong you are the strength of my life did you not die for me to do not pull me out of sin did you not rescue me from darkness surely you'll empower me now that I'm in the light surely you'll save me from wrath through the one that lives thank you for more than enough grace in my life you took away all my flesh excuses you took the blame off of everyone and you've given me the right to just be yours I yield myself to you you're being great changing me because you love me and your love I want you to thank him right now that he loves you you welcome Holy Spirit right now to be your teacher and the one that forms Christ in you the one that conviction would lead to guide you in our truth talk to him don't don't believe you have to do something for him to want to come he has always wanted to come just right now right where you're at you say but you don't know my situation I I'm not talking about your situation I'm talking about your heart right now before him you welcome Holy Spirit right now and you let Holy Spirit if you're sincere and you want this you let Holy Spirit know that you want him to lead you and guide you in all truth that if you think anything outside of his truth he would make you aware of that and give you a chance to adjust that but he would keep truth in front of you all the time she would always have the privilege of running well with it go ahead and be bold right now and tell him that you want to be perfected in love you want to be made to be loved you're not praying for patience and be careful because if you ask for it God will give it to you no no love is patient you want to go for the package you you want to become love love is patient just telling that I want to become the love to others that you have been to me so important to believe you're forgiven right now father you forgive me of everything I've ever done if you've forgiven me of everything I've ever done Who am I to hold someone accountable for some they've done in a way where I shut up my heart or shut them up in my heart Lord I am done living like a man without you I'm living like a man possessed by him and I'm gonna love them just like you love me and I'm going to give them the space and opportunity to change like you gave me the space to change all these years I honor you and I want to do it with more than my words I honor you with my life and thank you for the grace that empowers me come on believe these things thank you me loves you thank him that he forgives you and thank him that Holy Spirit is here and willing to guide you in all truth let go of your rights right now every right that I pursued throughout him and he said she said and tit for tat and well I feel why I wouldn't if they did well how come they had I throw it all away it's never produced anything good or what ever has is justified me to be less than you I'm done with that language nobody owes me a thing and I'm done with justifications and rightness I'm done with human rights my life's not gonna be a talk-show my life's gonna reveal you thank you for teaching daddy father I thank you for this house I thank you for every soul I thank you for every heart encouraged I thank you for an increase awareness of you and knowing from the head to the heart a relational thing of the people would be with you take on the beauty of who you are that everything they give birth to would look just like you let people look like they did in acts and say Wow they've been with him yes I thank you Lord you're doing that in our lives Jesus amen and then yeah guys you can live here you can stay here you don't have to turn God into an appointment you don't have to meet with him for an hour a day he he lives in you talk to him commune with him teach yourself to know him by being with him I picked out the young man right here yesterday I said we wouldn't drive 50 miles and not talk you know what's sweet I still don't even really got his name sealed in me I didn't even know if I asked him remember it he might have told me but he didn't stick him he so I still don't even know his name but watch this if seven days in a row we drove 50 miles together and back and forth and we just hung out for a week that way and you mentioned his name after seven days with my heart I could say oh yeah I know him why cuz I've been with him you don't know Jesus cuz you went to Sunday school you don't know Jesus even cuz you know that an order one day you know Jesus because you've been nothing compares in your whole life to the ability to be with him it's given by God the grace to be with it there's nothing that compares to that seeing it a healing is amazing getting word of knowledge is fun I promise you it tails being with them be with them amen amen I love you I'm done bless you mister amen come on let's just thank the Lord for this morning let me just give you two minutes of some practical instruction okay and they're gonna release to grab some lunch and come on back when we do when we we need everyone to go ahead and take all of your stuff with you because we have to come in our amazing facilities team and volunteers which by the way we've got I think we've got like on average between 44 and 48 people who you're just volunteering to serve each service and so when you see folks in the parking lot or at the door out there you know they're not doing it for anybody's thanks but there's just something and just saying you know what thank you thank you you know it takes many hands to be able to put on a weekend like this and we are so thankful for so many amazing hands but we're gonna have to come in and straighten up everything so we're ready for the two o'clock so we do ask everybody take everything with you when you go doors are gonna open up again at 1:30 so you can get in again at 1:30 and we're gonna have a lot more folks with us at the two o'clock so you'll be able to save your seats as well in terms of restaurants who's hungry all right some practicals when you go out of the parking lot if you go left okay you're gonna begin to start seeing restaurants on your left and your right okay all of the restaurants in Irondale are right there in that area also if you want to drive just a little bit further if you go out of the parking lot and go right you can get back on the interstate and head toward trustfull there's a lot of places right off the exit there drive throughs because of the time that we have left or somewhere you can grab a quick salad or sandwich amen we bless you have an awesome lunch we
