Daiwa Factory Visit & Tournament Pro XLS Preview

hello and welcome to catch more media in tonight's show we have something a little bit different for you as we travel north to wish your Scotland well we're joined by day was marketing manager Steven McCabe me who gives us a tour of their state-of-the-art factory as well as a fascinating insight into how poles are actually made on top of this we get a sneak preview of daya's new tournament Pro XLS which is set to hit the shops very soon because I've been looking up to have been shown the dour factory before I decided to let my trusty cameraman Jordan Holloway have a stint in front of the camera yeah change some different shapes they are gonna fit yeah and these are actually all integral to the reinforcement or the joints yeah and just behind as you'll see the team are actually tracking the sections together and the component parts yeah interpretation for the target sheets to be attached to the mandrel so I'm starting to see all these hidden patterns what happens with the next well we've actually tacked them together into single component elements of it actually being applied to the mandles these are the formers that give us the shape of the ball sections and what you've got is 0 and 90 degrees and bias Carbon patterns all compose together they've been a flight and sent to lay into the mandrel and then they are rolled into place on the rolling tables hmm [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so Steven I've seen the section for pet parole in what's happening here well virtually new got the carbon patterns all assembled into effectively the beginning of a tube yeah perhaps is secured into place while curing and that's what we're very they were keeping it with a heat resistant tape that's wrapped around the pool intersection and a lot of appalls we actually exaggerate the after effect of that together as a texture finish to assist in the travel of the sections there's a lot quicker than linear shipping yeah its feelings from g50 yeah yeah I've noticed some of the sections already have cosmetic elements unlike the numbers and here int elastic kit why is that well what would actually do as we apply the oil markers on decorations onto the carbon and we actually cute it into the actual wall or the funny section scissors having to take it and paint able to slip out the problem could come off later on from it keep someone family [Music] we've just seen the sections get into the oven what's happenin ears well this is curing this is where we expose the sample sections on the mandals to 140 degrees centimeters yeah that's ha ha I get and they're in there for two O's yeah and in that process the resins the P play business break down into a fluid state and merge all the layers of carbon sheets and buttons together into a single wall the sections have been in the oven for 2 hours now what's the next process well look at the cube intersection we have to remove the man who wants to film the force and then the tape has to be removed some of the sections just apply a trimming and a chamfer applied to them and then they're ready or they get the bigger sections of like sections have to be smooth sanded and preparation for the spray-painting and skin printing it takes place all sections are no whew well they have to be cut definitely sounded you have to be groans some of the joints up to be smooth the sections that always need all the land whatever sin and as I said earlier some of the decorative elements of the sections have to have a first office before that process can begin so we're doing three things here cutting grinding and sanding yeah it probably wasn't available using a lot of water than this process yeah the occurrence of which there's a lot of carbon pigments Oliver is there between Don save McElveen a super useful ad for packing off so Jordan here we are the tournament Pro X XLS in its finished form looks fantastic in it brilliant also I've seen older tournaments but I'm seeing one with an XLS horse what's the difference we've actually had a few XLS additions the last two years I'm XLS it stands for extra long section yeah and the bots the which is the 11th the 10th in the 9th at individually 10 centimeters longer yeah which contributes to the ball in a variety of ways but the balls also cut at the front end to 2 mil internal diameter CSX but the basic benefit is that it's filler length Paul is the pool is more responsive feels better and even assemble it with a ball action at the back end has improved well Steven this pole it's summer alpha net bit of a base well I
